BYO Bowl- Chicken with everything + avocado, son son and yum yum sauce Chicken Banh Mi

I got the BYO chicken bowl with Avocado, YumYum Sauce and Son Son Sauce. My son got the Chicken Bahn Mi. My son would say "the bowl is SMACKiNG"! The chicken was on point Korean inspired and the combination of sauce and veg was spot on! I don't even like black beans, but it works perfect with the bowl. My son said the Bahn Mi was also very good, and fresh. Not shown are the hoetteok...brown sugar Korean style donut. They didn't make it out the car because they were so good! Must try. The staff was also very friendly and respectful. We got there 7 minutes before closing and they hooked it up for us. Thank you!

    Build your own chicken bowl

We ordered one build-your-own chicken bowl, kimchi fries (no meat) and one son son bowl (no meat). The kimchi fries were the best, although they did mess up on my order - I asked for no cheese and they still put it on. The bowls were okay, not a lot of flavor and disappointing. I will say the bowls were a good size! Plenty of food. This place just opened up and is in a brand new building! It's super clean and fresh feeling inside. The workers were friendly. They have outdoor seating which is nicely shaded by the building in the evenings!

    Ordering kiosks--these are the worst...

My husband and I gave this new asian-inspired place a try. It has a cute fast-casual vibe for a strip mall spot. Overall it was just ok. We didn't love the order for yourself kiosks. The kiosk even asked for a tip. (Who's it tipping? Me? We hadn't encountered any employees yet.) We both got BYO chicken bowls. I opted for glass noodles, carrots, corn, cucumbers, green onions, edamame, crunchy onions, spicy pickled radish, with yum yum, son son, and gochujang sauces on the side (to try them all). They charged .25 each to get the sauce on the side. I get that they are covering the cost of the little cup, but without anyone to ask what the sauces taste like or the ability to ask for light sauce, it seems like it should be included in the price of the bowl. All the sauces were good. I would probably get just son son sauce on the side next time. My husband also got glass noodles in his chicken bowl. He did not like themat all. He had never had glass noodles and was expecting more of a rice noodle. He said the glass noodles were like eating worms. I've had glass noodles before and like them, but I would still probably get rice instead. The chicken was all thigh meat, which my husband also doesn't like. We also tried a Hotteok. We both liked the Hotteok but felt it was pricy for what it is. Overall, my husband didn't eat much and instead opted to wait for a bowl of cereal at home. If I go back, it will be with friends, because my husband said he definitely won't eat here again.

3rd or 4th time I've gotten my banh mi from Son Son food truck and loved every bite. Hubby gets a bowl once a month! Today I caught up with at the Ogden Harvest Moon festival on 25th St. I got the loaded fries with chicken, kimchi and yum yum sauce and it is phenomenal. Looking forward to their brick n mortar restaurant in 2024! Great owners of the truck so I know they have big business as a permanent presence.

Chicken Son Son bowl with black beans. Spicy pork Banh mi

Son Son has moved from their Asian fusion food truck to a small very popular- three entree items half service restaurant. They have perfected Asian bowls, banh mi sandwiches and korean loaded fries. Prices are right for the huge portions they are selling. The bowls are like Cup bop but way fresher with more flavor and ingredients. For me, the spicy pork banh mi was awesome! fresh veggies and bread loaded with pork and spicy sauces. So good! Never had banh mi so "saucey" but I loved it. Evenings are crowded right now. The eating area inside is small, but they also have outside seating. There's no take-out yet but there are doing online orders. I only had to wait ten minutes after ordering online and picking up at their back window. I'll be back to try their loaded Korean fries!

Byo chicken bowl, kimchi fries, byo steak bowl had to get all the sauces! Yum yum sauce is soooo good!!

Pretty good food! Not 100% sold on the weird fusions but the classic bowl with noodles and rice is tasty!

I will mention it but it is not the most important factor. Pauni brings a bit of island flavour to landlocked Logan. Pauni Island Grill dishes are not heavily spiced but it is characterized by the use of coconut milk and cream. Mixing savory with sweet. We ordered the following with a side of white rice and macaroni salad: Palu Sami (Corn Beef with Coconut Cream): It was like island comfort on a plate, the salty corned beef in coconut cream sauce is a perfect viand to steamed rice, its salty, its fatty, its meaty and very savoury, it's a simple dish. Sweet and Sour Meatballs: This is a cozy dish comprised of meatballs smothered with a sweet and sticky Polynesian pineapple sauce. Lord of Mercy, a little goes a long way. This dish is good but sometimes I find the sauce is too sweet. But that's just fine b/c it balances out with the white rice. Both dishes together in a combo meal, makes me feel good, rub my belly, and close my eyes wishing I was on the beach. This place is simple. If you are expecting fancy bells and whistles, go else where. I love visiting their establishment because eating their food is like tasting a blend of Hawaii's historical influences together which form a new eclectic modern cuisine for Loganites to experience.
