Very very good! This is my second time coming here! This visit was even better! As was my experience on the 1st visit. They provided excellent service and the food and beverages were excellent! We were there for happy hour. Everything was season to perfection especially those fries! We ordered 2 rounds. Also all the drinks have a wine base, and are all very refreshing! This place is so pretty! The inside is beautiful, but the outside seating is just gorgeous, teeming with plants. It feels like you're in a forest oasis...sigh. I've been here twice now and both times my experience was great. Service is amazing as well. The second time our server gave us fries on the house because they were a popular choice, and they were delish! Great place for drinks with friends or a date. They have a pretty good happy hour. I wouldn't come here very hungry though. This is more of a light bites type of place. French fries, shrimp egg rolls, and whipped goat cheese are all tasty snacks. We brought our 18 year old who has nut allergies & our server Fatima was wonderful!! Very kind and understanding of it. She made sure everything we ordered was safe. That means alot to us because it can be tricky going to restaurants. We loved everything we ordered , the milk bread & caviar , fries is a must! And my favorite was the Mac & cheese (with a Korean twist !) Also to our surprise they have Happy Hour! 4-6!! Definitely will be back with some friends to order the 1 liter Caymus Cabernet for $75! Came back to this place. They changed their concept. New drinks and new food menu. Thought HH was still on but unfortunately they didn't have one. The food was very oily, salty and lacked depth. It is not helping me unbig my back before the summer time so the beach will just get what it gets. I love the drink and lite bite pairings. They compliment each other well. Really enjoyed my visit to Lees Den. The staff was very nice, attentive and prompt taking our order and checking on us often. We had the bread and caviar and baby it was delicious! I honestly wanted to order another and not share it. We also had the mac and cheese but it was a little spicy for me. I do believe their menu changes so not sure if its still available. Tried out Lees Den recently and I can say I've found my new fave wine bar! It's an intimate spot above Local Foods. Perfect for a date, girls night out, or solo adventure! First, the food: everything was delish! We got the whipped goat cheese (we may or may not have gotten two; it usually comes with pistachios but we left them off), fries with secret sauce and lamb lollipops. For drinks, we opted for the sparkling sangria and passionfruit spritz, which we kept ordering throughout the night. Second, the service: our waitress was great! Very attentive, provided great recommendations and kept us laughing throughout the night. She even gave us dessert on her because we stayed for a longggg time and they ended up needing to move us to a different table (the hong kong French toast dessert was so good)! My friend also had a nut allergy and the person who brought out our food remembered that, which was so helpful. They are open Thursday-Saturday. Ordered a glass of the Spanish red (Familia Torres Salmos) after the server kindly let me taste the Italian (Occhipinti SP 68 Rouge). My dining partner got the spring-thyme spritz. It's an intimate spot tucked above Local Foods and Owl Bar--Lees Den feels more like a lounge than a restaurant, though it's a full service restaurant that offers delicious food. And our server was great too and truly seemed to want us to have a great evening. Here's what we tried: --Foie gras pate: This pate was different because it had a nice, spicy aftertaste, and I liked the focaccia bread served with it. --French fries: I think these are the same twice-cooked French fries served at Local Foods, and I really like these French fries. --Fish: I can't remember the type of fish, but it was so good and fresh. And though the corn puree and sauteed spinach served with the fish were very good, the fish itself was simply delightful. --Steak and potato: The steak was cooked more than the medium-rare we ordered, but it was very tasty. And the potato puree served with it was fantastic--I'd say that the butter-to-potato ratio was 10:1, so good. --Chocolate cake: The cake had a funny name that included a movie star's name, and it was delicious. It was definitely decadent but not ridiculously heavy. As a big Local Foods fan, I'm so pleased that its sister restaurant Lees Den is so wonderful. read more

Saw all the amazing reviews so naturally I was intrigued and curious as to what this place was about. It's located above Local Foods in the Village, and owned by the same company. Lots of the staff and items are from downstairs from Local Foods and Local Foods Market! The upstairs is a whole different experience. The decor is definitely a little fancier, the space is decorated nicely and the outdoor patio takes you to another place completely with all the greenery. It's small though, so make reservations when you can! The food was pretty delicious! The hummus and burrata was fresh and refreshing. It came with a naan type bread. The Pistachio and Goat Cheese was flavorful. That milk bread that comes with the bread & caviar is amazing!! The meatballs were also tender and had an amazing tomato based sauce on them! The only thing I was disappointed in were the drinks and cocktails - they're all made out of wine so they were super light (refreshing but not the delicious cocktails I was expecting for a place like this). Have been twice now and love the space/decor, food, drinks and service - consistently great! Fun spot for happy hour. Staff is always friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Crudo has been a favorite - changes with the menu, first time was Asian flavored tuna and this time was Italian inspired poke tuna with smoked aioli, olives, basil, tomato vinaigrette (different and couldn't stop eating). Creme fraiche brown butter with bread service was delicious, as well as the marinated feta - seasoned perfectly (not too salty), light and fluffy. This place is not big and it's upstairs of local foods. I really like the decor and the vibes on a nice summer night. Nice wine list. The food is hit or miss. Like the milk and caviar, what can go wrong with milk bread and butter. Loved it. The foie gras pate was delicious but they only give you three pieces of bread for a pretty big block of pate. Luckily our server understood it was not enough bread and brought us more without charge. The steak was good and not over cooked but could have maybe used some veggies as a side to cut thru all the heaviness of the potatoes and meat. The uni wiggle, you don't taste any uni and it was a bit too salty. More salt than flavor. And the meatballs were a little over cooked but the flavor mix was good with the side and toppings. Like so many other recently-opened restaurants, this is another prime example of all style and no substance. The restaurant had an excellent ambiance and decent service. But that was all. The cocktails were mediocre at best. The food was disastrous. We had two very unappetizing appetizers before we decided to leave. The baked brie was postitively the worst baked brie on the planet - overly salty and a weirdly generous amount of black pepper completely massacred what could have been a simple and elegant dish. The shrimp egg rolls were the blandest possible food that I ever tasted - zero flavors. Two appetizers, one cocktail, and a zero-proof cocktail took our check to $65 with tax and tip. We ended up finishing our delicious dinner down the street at half the price. Not worth the calories, and definitely not worth the price. read more
