Came in with a friend for manicures, and we were seated right away. We sat for around 20 minutes without being helped or being told when we'd be helped. I thought my nails looked great when they were done, but both of ours bubbled. Not a good experience. read more

Went here today to take my staff on a much needed spa day. The experience was decent until it came time to pay. The bill came to $250 for three people and they wanted to give me a receipt that was pretty much a blank receipt. They charged an extra $10 "fix" a nail that nothing was done too. They only put gel polish on when I was already getting a fill-in with gel polish. (I still have a nub of a nail. Next, my employee only received a polish change and two tips (after they damaged her nails when we first got there) they charged an extra $10 to re-shape her nails. This place is a joke with nickel and diming the extra charges. They couldn't give me the calculations for the absurd charges. Please don't waste your time, without asking about there charges. Also, if they have to do anything, even take your original polish off to start you will be charged a fee. read more

I never write reviews but this was the best nail salon I've been to and they deserve a better rating. The atmosphere was great. Excellent massage chairs. And Danny gave me the best pedicure! I am sold. I'll be back! read more

I received the Classic Manicure/Pedicure. My technician, Hannah wasn't very talkative or helpful in my selection. Her service was on par, though a bit rushed. The bartender mixed delicious drinks. I'm sure the service would've been better if not for the holiday rush. They have great selection of polishes so I look forward to trying them again. read more

The only place I'll get a manicure. I've never done anything as thoughtfully and carefully as these people paint my nails. The service is always cheerful and attentive, I have never had a wait, and the quality of their work is so phenomenal. Could not recommend more. read more

I had a Groupon coupon for a pedicure. I called to make an appointment and the person, a woman, who answered was very friendly. That changed after I told her I was using a Groupon. Her tone immediately changed and the call was no longer important. I was told to just come in and no appointment was needed. When I politely asked for clarification why an appointment was no longer needed she stated that I was being difficult and making hard from them. I do not know how asking a simple question equated to her accusations. I hope that the experience in the Spa is much better the than the customer service that I received. Even so no one who can be so rude to another person, will get the pleasure of my business nor any of my friends. I received my money back from Groupon. read more

I've been here twice. I only tried it a second time because it's so convenient to my house and I wanted to give them a second chance. Firstly, they are extremely over priced - including a $1 "membership" fee "so they can SELL alcohol." Don't expect any complimentary beverages. But more importantly, they are terrible. For a $35 gel manicure I expect more than 10 minutes of attention. It's basically a polish - no manicuring involved. I'm not that picky either - I literally had a hang nail when I left. I should have spoken up, but it's just not my personality. I will never return. read more

Nice clean shop, first time here. Friendly workers. Out of town customer. Will return.

They were not very friendly people and did not take no time on your feet..I feel like it was a rush job. I know it is a Groupon and it was a deal.it was my first and last time experience. read more

Just had a great time with a group of girls, getting mani/pedi I hope to go again sometime soon!!! Sorry if we were a little loud :-)

I went to Lee Spa nails before a beach trip in May. I was very impressed by their spa massage chairs! If you wanted to go to this spa solely for that reason, I would say it was great. However, the reflexology massage was WAY too rough. The arch of my foot was killing me. I do not know if it was just the guy who did my pedicure or this is a technique they use on everyone but I was scared that he was going to actually injure my foot...The exfoliating scrub on the legs however was the best I have had! It smelled amazing and made my legs super smooth and soft. I found the pedicure/manicure to be good but not amazing. I have very mixed feelings about this salon because the chairs and leg massage was great but the reflexology massage was a bit intense and I have had way better manicures/pedicures at other places. read more

I am new to Durham and already had tried and fired 3 nail salons for horrible experinces when i finally, THANKFULLY found Lee Spa Nails. Everything from the atmosphere to the customer service was perfect and my nails finally , finally ARE PERFECT!!!! Ask for Sandy, she is the best!! read more

First time there - very nice. Great service. Second time - I was greeted with "Oh, you have a groupon, we will need to work you in. I explained, that I had called and scheduled an appointment. They said no appointment with coupon. I was seated next to someone also getting a pedicure (basic), and I was out in half the time as her. Wouldn't recommend - if you want a quality pedi. read more

Delightful atmosphere, however the nail polish DOES NOT LAST very long. After paying $35 for a pedi plus $6 for one design, you would expect it to last at least 2 weeks. Polish chipped after 2 days. read more

Lady that did my pedicure never spoke to me. Was talking to other staff and not paying attention. She cut my toes multiple times without even an apology. I used to come here a lot but now I will think otherwise. read more

The staff is lovely but the owner is very rude ! She doesn't know how to great ppl and a plan out racist . It's sad when ppl are spending there own money in a establishment and the owner is rude, crude and plain ugly and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone . read more

I knew I should not have gotten a pedicure done at this place but I had a groupon so I took the chance. I regret it immediately! The individual who did my nails cut a huge chunk out of my skin/cuticle and now I have an infection and can barely put pressure on that toe because it hurts so bad. Even though the place looks nice inside, they rush through their job and make mistakes like this. I called and complained and nothing was done besides suggesting I put iodine on it. Won't be going back. read more

They gave me the worst set of acrylics i have ever gotten. One of my nails broke when i opened a ziploc container because the nails were so crappy and thin. The woman that did my nails was rude and got an attitude when I wasn't willing to pay an extra 10 bucks for the gel polish. I do not advise you to go to this nail salon but I would suggest La vie nail salon which is right down the road. read more

These people are thieves. The've added unauthorized charges to my and other people I know credit cards. A previous nail tech that worked there told me that it's a common "oversight" that happens there! Watch your credit card purchases or pay cash!!!! read more

I used to love this place. The technicians were great, especially Kevin, who gives the best foot massages ever. But it wasn't really feasible trying to get an appointment with him each time, so I started taking whatever technician was available. Most that I've had are still good, but the last two times I got a woman who just made the experience unpleasant. The pedicure itself is fine, but she is monosyllabic, looks annoyed throughout (and when I accidentally put my foot down too hard in the basin and a little water splashed out, she literally glared at me), rushes through the process, and then immediately and ungraciously asks for payment. Also, the color selection of OPI polishes has become much smaller, for some reason. After I left today, I couldn't really think of a compelling reason to return and will try one of the many other places nearby. read more

Lee Spa Nails is the best salon in the RDU area hands down! The hostesses are professional and always friendly! Beverages are immediately offered upon your arrival, and the amazing customer service does not stop there. Thai and Q are the BEST nail techs! You don't have to force conversation or suffer through awkward silence when working with these two. They make you super comfortable and make you feel as if you've known them for years. They are knowledgeable and even help you with colors if you can't decide! Surrounding nail salons could only dream of being on the same level as Lee Spa Nails! read more

I have been a client for at least 4 years and this remains my favorite place for a mani/pedi. They are Always friendly and professional. If I have ever experienced a problem, they have been quick to resolve. Remember, no place is perfect. The difference is how they acknowledge, take responsibility and make the effort to make it right. read more

I loved the guy who did my nails as I got them done, but the quality sucks. I only go when friends are having events there but I will not be going anymore for any reason. My toes chipped not even a week after getting them done, even though the toes usually last a long time. My gel nails have chipped after just a week. This place is too expensive for them not to last. What a big waste of $85. I will never recommend this place! read more

I LOVE this nail salon! I've been a customer for years. The salon is now under new management and they have done a marvelous job! Always a good experience! read more

The first time I went her for a pedicure the gentleman was so nice and social and I enjoyed my experience. Today I went for a pedicure and the young lady I had did a great job but no people skills at all. I paid and left her a small tip and she was rude. Most places say Thank You! not her it was like she was expecting to get a tip. A tip for everyone...if you like to be ignored and rude service then go there. If not go somewhere else. read more

I got wonderful service from the staff. Everyone was friendly and polite and professional. The salon was very nice, clean and very relaxing. The prices are reasonable. I got a nail fill it was $18. I was surprised. The young man that did my nails did such a great. I will be returning. read more

I will NOT be back here unless I'm just in a hurry for a pedicure, but NEVER again for a gel manicure! I've been here 4 times since they've opened their newly rennovated spa with a full service bar and have only had a good experience ONCE! The first time I went, I got a great tech and she was super nice and did a great job on my gel manicure (unfortunately for me, I forgot her name and should have written it down). The second time, I got a sweet young girl, but she put the polish on very thin (I thought maybe I had picked a color that was almost out). The third time, I got a lady with blonish brown hair and black glasses and she was nice, but when I told her I wanted the polish thick because it doesn't last when it's thin, she kept making comments about how it doesn't dry completely and whatnot and as she's "thinking" she's putting it on thick, it was still a lot thinner for my taste... so thin I had to go back within a week to get a polish change... which leads me to my 4th and FINAL visit at this place. I went with my cousin to get a pedicure and a gel nail polish change for me. We got there, picked our colors and sat in our pedicure chairs... Luckily (and I say that with extreme sarcasam) for me, I got STUCK with the same tech as I had a week ago. I told her I wanted the polish THICK beause it wasn't thick enough last time and that it didn't last. My cousin and I both told them before they even started that we wanted a design. The guy who was doing my cousin's pedicure was done polishing her toes before I had even had lotion or anything put on my feet. There was NO foot massage and he painted her toes without doing a design and when she told him AGAIN that she wanted one, he told her that he had already put the clear coat on and she can't wait til the end to tell him. I made it clear that we had both stated we wanted a design from the beginning (and actually he responded to her when she asked for it). The lady that I got stuck with again did a pretty good job on my toes, but when it came time for my gel polish change on my nails, she did even worse than the last time I saw her. She asked if I wanted a manicure and I told her no, she had just done one last week and I was only getting a polish change due to her not putting it on thick enough as I had requested. I had to sit there and listen to her opinion over and over about if it's too thick this and that. I politely told her I didn't care how long it took to dry and that I wanted it thick. She kept saying it peels off if it's thick and, again, I politely told her that it doesn't on my nails and when it is put on correctly I have gone 3 weeks without needing it changed before. Needless to say, I walked out of there with my nails looking like total crap and if I didn't have to be somewhere at the time I was leaving there I would have stayed and made them have someone redo them. Also, we asked for a drink menu 2-3 times before we got one and after we got it, it took until the end of my cousin's pedicure for someone to ask if we wanted anything. Not to mention a glass of wine is $8. I will be driving to Raleigh if needed from now on to get gel manicure from someone I know is amazing instead of going for convenience. read more

The pedicure service is very good here. Nice, relaxing massage chairs. The staff were polite and accommodating. However, every time I've been there, they ask outright for their tip. This is NOT professional to say the least! I never have cash and when I said I would add it to my credit card receipt, he said " you can't do that," What?? Whoever heard of a service salon NOT allowing you to add the tip to the credit card charge. It always bothers me when a business asks outright for the tip. This is done at the discretion of the client, and determined by how happy one is with the service, or not. It is rude and unprofessional to be asked for it by the service worker. read more

Very beautiful facility. However, I was extremely disappointed with the quality of nail work done on my nails. I opted for basic polish because gel doesn't last as long for me. Although I know basic polish will not last as long as gel, I at least expected it to make it through the weekend. The paint chipped the same night and looked horrible the next day. My nails lasts longer when I do them myself. read more

I used a Groupon for the basic pedicure, the nail tech Hanna asked me at least 5 times to upgrade to the more expensive pedicure. Then seemed annoyed that I did not upgrade, she rushed thru the pedicure and acted like I was bothering or annoying her! The place looks wonderful but an unhappy or incompetent staff member can ruin your business. Would never go back to that place! read more

I went to Lee Spa Nails this past weekend because I purchased a Groupon for a pedicure. Upon arriving I told them I was using a Groupon and I immediately felt different treatment than other customers. Although the place is beautiful and looks professional (and they boast about having 38 pedicure chairs) there were not enough staff to accommodate that many customers. I waited 30+ minutes with my feet sitting in water. At first the water was very cold and I tried to get someone's attention. They then had the water way too hot so I again h ad to try to stop someone to change the temperature. When the water temperature was just right no one came by to turn the water off as it was less than an inch from overflowing. I was waving my arms trying to get someone to pay attention to me. Finally the hostess came over to me and I asked for help. She told me the problem was because "I didn't speak Spanish". I asked her confused "what do you mean?" and she said that it was my problem because I didn't speak Spanish. The pedicure was the fastest I ever had done and walked out with the notion that I would NEVER go back. I had the feeling that they had no care if I ever came back or not. read more

The best thing I can say about the place is that it was clean and that all the tools used were as well. The rest . . . not so much. I took a bridal party there for a pre-wedding treat. EVERY time I called, I asked that I be given the bill and NOT the ladies I brought. 6 of the women were asked how they were paying by their techs and 3 of those 6, felt so pressured, that they paid. (See note below.) The ladies that got pedicures were pretty happy with them, but the manicures were lousy. My entire manicure lasted under 6 minutes: NO hand massage and the polish was put on so fast that I walked out and had bubbles on several nails. Seriously, ALL the tech cared about was how I was paying. She asked 4 or 5 times and asked me to get my credit card out BEFORE she did anything. AND she asked me "... if I was sure about the color" I picked 3 times. One of the ladies' cuticle was cut (OK, that happens), but in general the manicures were fair at best and several of us HAD TO ASK for a nail dryer. Note: In the end, I had to force the manager to refund my guests who paid, so that I could pay and was definitely treated like I had put her out. While she did half-heartedly apologize, she was clearly not happy about it. I would NOT go back there!!! read more

I've been to Lee numerous times. Basically your service is very hit or miss depending upon who you get. I completely agree with the other posters that the technicians are always trying to get you to purchase more services and I've certainly waited my fair share of time for pedicures (after you're already in a chair). While they aren't the most professional, it wasn't enough for me to go somewhere else. However, my experiences the last two times have made me decide to find another place. A few weeks ago I went in to get a gel nail polish change and the technician messed up two of my nails twice, so it took 1.5 hours. I tried to blow it off as just a one time incident, but then I had her again (they have a rotation system there). When I had her the second time for a gel polish change she told me that whoever did my nails the last time did a terrible job because the gel polish wasn't coming off and my nails were very scratched up (she didn't know SHE was the last person who did my nails). She then informed me that one of my nails was cracked down the middle and blamed it on the previous person too. This was the same nail she redid twice, so I wonder how that happened. I think that a cracked nail is completely inexcusable, especially since no one there cared or apologized. read more

Went here last Wednesday with my daughter in law, her mum and my 3 year old granddaughter . Had a basic pedicure , my daughter in law had a mani/pedi and paid for the deluxe version.my granddaughter had her nails and toes painted too. The guy doing my daughter in law was very friendly and talkative the polar opposite to my guy who barely spoke and communicated with grunts and gestures. Having a bar was nice as we could enjoy a glass of wine and the place itself is nicely decorated however the French manicure I had lasted three days before it chipped as did my daughter in laws pedi. When the guy doing my feet finished he just up and left leaving the toe nail clippings, used cotton balls and wet towels etc on the floor in front of my chair. Yuk! The day after having her nails and toes painted the three year old had colour on two fingers and three toes! I found it very expensive particularly the $30 for the 3 year old!!! Wherever we've been before this has been a free gesture and as there were three adults paying for treatments and the amount of polish used on her teeny fingers and toes $30 was excessive! read more

I have always been curious about this place as it looked pretty big and is right down the street from my house. My acrylics were pretty grown out and I wanted to get them taken off and just get gel polish on my natural nails. I thought why not try this place finally. When I walked in I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was inside. Like everyone else said, there is a one time fee of $1 -- something to do with them having a full service bar.I paid it with no problem because it was only a dollar. I was told to pick out a color and then was seated very quickly by a woman (I think she was the owner). She gave me a bowl of acetone to soak my acrylics in and then left. About 10 minutes go by and no one has come to check on me. I didn't think much about it at first because I know acrylics can take a long time to soak off and maybe they were gonna give it like 20 minutes. Well, at this point half an hour has passed and still no one has acknowledged that I'm there. After about 45 minutes a nail tech finally came to do my nails. The manicure felt rushed, and the lady did not speak one word to me. She cut my cuticle on 2 fingers and didn't even apologize. I didn't notice until I got in my car and really examined my nails that there was an eyelash or something embedded into the polish on my index finger. And to top it all off, the polish on 4 (yes, 4) of my nails completely peeled off in one layer THE NEXT DAY. Overall I am not impressed by this place. My hunt for finding a good nail salon in the triangle continues... read more
