    Margarita and Fizz cocktails

This is exactly what I wanted. You can find a few, good, Thai spots in town, and I'd like you to consider adding this one to your list. The atmosphere is lovely, along with the decor. The staff are so attentive and friendly. They have a good cocktail bar, along with some happy hour choices. I got the Thai Fried Rice and my mom got Gai-Lan with Crispy Pork Belly. Both were delicious and so fresh! We also tried some Hat-Yai chicken wings for an appetizer. It was one of the best fried wing textures I've tasted. It can be hard to see from 7th st, but just turn down E Paulo Verde Dr and there's plenty of parking in the back. They have ample indoor seating and a really cute outdoor patio. All my fellow foodies, you know what to do!

I went out with some friends today and we tried LeDu Thai on 7th. Originally the plan was to go to the one downtown but it was crazy busy downtown due to some race. So, we switched up and went to the one on 7th. We got to meet and speak with the owner and I got to speak what little Thai I know with her. She was really nice. We ordered and shared. The food was delicious. I liked it. I know, shocker!! Because I'm super picky when it comes to Thai food since I'm Thai. We started with laab moo (ground pork salad) and it was delicious, we got the crab fried rice which was soooo good and they used real crab, we also got pad kee mao gai (drunken noodles with chicken) it was good but a little on the sweet side for me. I think everything could have been spicier though. But that's my fault. I ordered mild because my friends don't do spicy like I do and we were sharing. But the waiter gave me a side of chili powder and chili oil. So that helped. It's a cute little spot with delicious food and friendly staff and I liked the food which says a lot. The only issue is the portions are small for the price you pay. I even told the owner to make the portion size bigger. Lol!! Other than that, I approve. But not enough to take my mom and aunt. I have to LOVE it for that to happen.

First time coming in and a great experience. I'm not too sure how long they were open but they were not too busy when we came in. Have tried other Thai places and I like the authenticity of this place. The decor and interior is nice plus the outdoor area was nice too. We tried the papaya salad which had good spice and also the chicken wings that were flavorful as well. The grab fried rice was a very good portion compared to other dishes. Much like other Thai places the portions seem relatively small but plenty of flavor and thought put into it. Friendly and accommodating staff as well. Will return again!

We stopped by here as a dinner with friends. We were seated outside originally and when we asked to move inside they were very accommodating. I started off with a Wash Away your Sins cocktail and it was tasty. The appetizers we started off with the wings (perfect crunch) and papaya salad (a bit spicy ). We also had the Larb pork which was good (didn't realize it was supposed to be a wrap). The crab fried rice had generous portions and a good amount of crab. The Gaeng Panang Neur was mildly spicy (not totally overbearing). Overall great experience! Can't wait to try again soon

Lovely new Thai restaurant in Midtown/Uptown Phoenix! The space is tastefully decorated and welcoming, with indoor and outdoor patio seating. Staff is very warm, full of smiles, and helpful with food/beverage selection! What we ordered: Hat Yai fried chicken starter (deliciously juicy and well seasoned!) Kao Man Naa Nuer: grilled New York strip (rare middle) with egg fried rice. This was a favorite of the table! Green garden wrap: steamed seasoned veggies in a banana leaf wrap served with sticky rice. (Loved the sticky rice! The steamed veggie concoction was okay) Kao Su-i: egg noodles, chicken breast, bean sprouts, pickled mustard greens, red onion in a spicy Thai curry stew. (My favorite) Also, hubby ordered a zero beer and was served something from a Tokyo brewery with a frosted glass! Nice touch. Will definitely return to try even more from their menu. So happy they opened a location midtown!

Hang pu moo crop with miso soup

I had seen this place on socials and didn't realize this was their second location! This is next to another newish restaurant, Mensho, and is where Pubblico used to be. There was plenty of parking available when we went, which was for dinner on a Sunday. We had a reservation, but it was fairly empty so it wasn't needed. But if you're going at a more popular time, make sure to plan accordingly. I like that Ledu has the more commonly known dishes like pad Thai, crab fried rice, etc., but they also have signature dishes that are maybe less familiar to most people. I figured I could get one of the common dishes at any Thai place, so I opted for something from their Signature section, the hang pu moo crop, which is egg noodles with crab meat, pork belly, and egg. While it was good, imo it was expensive for the portion size. If I were to come back, I'd like to try one of their curries. Their first location is in downtown Phoenix, but this one on 7th maybe be easier in terms of finding parking, and it's not that much further away. I love that their menu has really captivating pictures of some of their dishes! They also have really unique cocktails. It's gorgeous inside and I loved the vibe of the restaurant.

    Pad Thai with Beef (mild)

Came in for lunch this afternoon and really enjoyed our experience! My friend and I wanted to try a new spot and Thai was exactly what we were craving! The vibes inside are so cute! Very green and calming, and everyone we interacted with was very nice. We ordered the Pad Thai with Beef and the Thai fried rice with Crispy Pork Belly. The Pad Thai (mild) was so tasty! All the flavors complemented eachother well and the beef was cooked perfect! The Thai Fried Rice was the star of the show - great flavor and cooked perfect! The Crispy Pork Belly was a bit dry for our liking but had really good flavor overall. It was nice sitting in a restaurant where we did not feel rushed. The server didn't slap a check on the table right away and we were able to enjoy our time chatting. Absolutely plan on coming back here soon!

I had no idea this hidden gem was tucked behind Wildflower! The server was very friendly and did a great job of helping me navigate the menu with my fish/shellfish allergy. The food was very fresh and delicious. I look forward to another visit.

Hang Pu Moo Krob (dry egg noodles with crabmeat and crispy pork belly)

Ledu never disappoints! As a Thai, I can say Ledu reliably delivers, whether it's classics like Pad Thai or more regional Thai dishes. This brand-new second location has a bunch of new dishes, and we decided to try three of them. The Kao Man Naa Nuer (NY strip steak with fried rice) was perfect. The steak was tender and juicy, and the flavorful egg fried rice complemented it beautifully. The jaew sauce added just the right touch of tanginess. The Hang Pu Moo Crop (dry egg noodles with crab and pork belly) might be my new favorite. It had that perfect balance of sweet and salty, with a squeeze of lime to brighten it up. So comforting, and the pork belly was perfectly crispy. We also ordered Pad Pak Fai Daeng (stir-fried mixed veggies). I like this dish a tad spicy. We ordered medium, and it tasted just like home. The space is gorgeous (even the bathroom decor is aesthetic!). Service was friendly and attentive, just like at the original spot. What a fantastic addition to the Uptown food scene!

At first I thought interesting not sure about this place. i don't love fufu sweet drinks, but my gf I went with had one and it was absolutely divine. Then the food came and I was sold. Great ambiance it used to be an Italian place but chill vibes. Staff was good. But the food was spectacular!

Modern elegant location and place with good Thai cuisine. Love that there is plenty of parking in the back of the building and they have plenty of dining area inside and out in the patio. I had a party of 12 of us, we all ordered and passed our dishes around. I only get pictures of Thai Ice Tea, Fried Tofu, Chicken Pad Thai, Crispy Pork Belly Pad Thai, Chicken Pad Ki-Mo, and for dessert the Cha Thai Custard. The service was great!!!

This spot is a nice addition to the area. Service at the bar was welcoming and accommodating. I got the magic noodles and a martini, both were good. I decided to take a few items for take out which plated well at home. The space was remodeled a bit from its previous owner and those changes make the space on brand. If you like a patio this place has it, better visit soon before summer :)

Crispy pork belly with a side of gai-lan
    Norm R.

This has to be the tastiest Thai food I've ever had! I ordered the crispy pork belly with a side of gai lan (Asian broccoli). The pork belly with its sauce was an explosion of umami- so very good! The gai lan was lightly sauteed in oyster sauce and garlic and was a perfect, delicious side dish. My friend let me try a bit of the chicken kra-pow he ordered, and it was also excellent. The food is in the style of the southern part of Thailand , so there is less palm sugar sweetness, which makes the umami factor stand out even more. The restaurant has a simple yet elegant interior, a patio dining space, and a full bar. Service was very friendly and the prices are very reasonable. An excellent dining experience overall.

From the moment I walked in, the lounge had a stylish but laid-back vibe that made it easy to settle in and enjoy the evening. The interior had a modern design with soft lighting, comfortable seating, and a calm atmosphere that felt perfect for spending time with friends or simply unwinding after a busy day. The music played at a good volume, creating energy without making conversation difficult. It felt more refined than a typical crowded lounge while still remaining casual and approachable. One of the highlights of the visit was the service. The staff were friendly, attentive, and quick to help with recommendations from the menu. Everything arrived promptly, and the overall hospitality made the experience feel welcoming rather than rushed. The food and drinks were also impressive. The menu offered a good variety of options, and everything we tried was flavorful and well presented. The cocktails were especially enjoyable, carefully prepared and balanced without being overly strong. It was clear that attention was given to both presentation and quality. What I appreciated most about Smith's on 7th Lounge was the atmosphere. Some lounges focus too much on being trendy or loud, but this place managed to create a space that felt elegant and comfortable at the same time. It worked equally well for a casual evening, a small celebration, or simply relaxing over drinks and conversation. Overall, visiting Smith's on 7th Lounge was a very pleasant experience. Between the inviting environment, good food, quality drinks, and attentive staff, it became one of those places I would gladly return to again for another relaxing evening. Gus Woltmann

The second one tasted "clean" or like it was supposed to taste. The Burger & Fish Tacos were full of flavor & freshness! I loved their fries b/c crispy on outside & soft on the outside. Missing their Guac & Chips Starter that was on former menu tho. We gotta commend the F&B Manager here! He overheard us talking to the waiter about the differences in the Charred Beet Salads & told us why: one was on the grill too long & he only knew that b/c he was in the kitchen watching them make it. He appreciated us sharing about the nuanced difference in how salads tasted & comped one. Wow - this is really going above & beyond: caring enough to have a convo w/ diners, acknowledging their palates detecting the difference AND making it right, b/c as he said "both should taste the same, like the second one." A commitment to excellence and consistency is a rarity. Overall, Lylo Swim Club outdoor bar/restaurant is a little oasis tucked away amongst so much greenery and beauty! Yes they have the pool nearby, but we didn't take a dip. Something to look forward to! P.S. Can the tile pattern on the bar be any more gorgeous?!

You would think being outside they would have someone buss since there were bugs swarming everywhere. The Dole Whip drinks you would assume the alcohol would be mixed in but just poured on top. Service was honestly extremely disappointing usually I can give them some grace but this was just... wow! Then I go to pay and there were several items on my bill that were never ordered. Mind you never got silverware or napkins so we were using the towels. 25 minutes for a can of beer mind you. Place could have potential but would need several more servers and maybe individuals that are equipped to even do the job in the first place. $300 for actually a slap in the face and no sunburn because are seats were in the shade with dirty dishes damn near on top of us. Gross, waste of money, and just disturbing. Could not pay me to come back. In addition the pool looked so alarmed I was surprised individuals were even in it, I barely let my feet in. Update : I tried to contact the hotel yesterday to get in touch with the manager, was given 3 emails all wrong. The emails never got delivered. Call the Lylo Swim Club this morning and spoke with Paul Epstein.... oh my actual god good luck. So extremely rude not helpful at all no wonder on his LinkedIn he switches jobs every few months. Some things he told me on the phone.... 1. That the dishwasher/busser was going around every 20 minutes and grabbing dishes... Wrong I saw him once 2. Explained to him that the drinks tasted like they were poisoned. He said what do you expect when you order alcohol. 3. he asked why I didn't grab a server. There were two and I saw them maybe three times only when they were delivering wrong food. He then told me that they were overstaffed yesterday pathetic. On top of that he said everyone was going there to get the dole whip drinks because of TikTok. I'm glad other people could enjoy them, but you would think since he works in the restaurant industry he would have grace for others when its impossible to please everyone. That I understand but with all of these things that went wrong a discount should have been applied. I've never experienced someone so rude and uptight. I can't even imagine someone having a bachelorette party or a birthday there I would be embarrassed to have my friends or anyone I know being in contact with this place or Paul. good luck to him.

GOOD! inspired by taco bell's baja blast hahahah). they TREATED us to all three of their current desserts on the menu. it was the most pleasant surprise i could've imagined. my favorite was the flourless chocolate cake! it was like a thick, rich brownie, had passion fruit cream to "lighten it up" and a caramel-like taffy on the bottom my brother and sister-in-law both said their favorite was the gulab jamun (which is basically like little fried dough balls/donuts, influenced by indian flavors and spices). the mille-feuille was also fantastic - the pastry was light and airy, cream wasn't too sweet and also very light, shaved cheese on top made it have a savory bite, and the jam alongside it was strawberry rhubarb. service is always amazing, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable; it seems like everybody working here truly enjoys it. quite literally already have a reservation booked at valentine and will be coming back here beforehand. update: came back for more drinks (fernet & coke, spaghett western, negroni) and their lamb flauta. all AMAZING! and amazing order to whet the appetite before dinner at valentine.

We arrived without a reservation and were told the wait would be about 25 minutes, which was totally reasonable. We waited the full time and checked in once, only to find the wait continuing to extend while several outdoor tables sat open. When we politely asked about our table, the host (a woman with glasses) responded with a noticeably rude and dismissive attitude. At one point, she muttered under her breath something along the lines of, "If you guys are so anxious... you can head over there," which multiple people in our group heard. It felt completely unnecessary and unprofessional. We were eventually seated at a table that was partially in direct sun, and when we asked about moving to one of the shaded tables, we were told they were unavailable and "reserved". However, those tables remained empty for over 30 minutes, which was frustrating given the situation. To be fair, there was another older woman on staff who was warm, attentive, and fantastic, and the food itself continues to be a highlight. The menu is creative, thoughtful, and one of the reasons we've come back multiple times. That said, this isn't the first time we've experienced service issues here, and it often feels like the restaurant is understaffed, which may be contributing to the inconsistency. I really want to love this place and continue recommending it, but experiences like this make it hard. Great food can only carry things so far when the hospitality side feels off. It's one thing to occasionally be understaffed (I understand people call off in this business) but there's a consistency here which points towards management issues and then on top of it, when your hostess is unnecessarily rude, that's a real bummer. We live in the Willo nearby and I don't think we're going to keep coming here if this restaurant allows the constant service issues and the rude staff like this.

For quite a few months, I had it on my list to visit. I finally made things happen on a Wednesday evening for a drink. Located on the roof (of course) of a boutique hotel, I find free parking in the hotel's parking lot. While it was a busy parking lot, I was able to find a spot. Unfortunately, my night consisted of a comedy of errors. Ambiance (3/5): When you think best rooftop in the state, you're thinking scenic and peaceful views. Don Woods' certainly has that, though I've seen better in Phoenix. You can see the mountains in the background, but that's about it. The hotel is located on a busy street, where you'll often hear the noise of cars buzzing by or the train choo-chooing. Did I just make up a word?! I imagine the best time to stop by is during sunset. The outdoor area is relatively narrow with seating for about 20-30 people. It's a mix of comfortable seats and tables/chairs. There's also a charming indoor area, where the bar is located, but I felt like I had to sit outside. The weather was perfect, too. Service (2.5/5): This is where the comedy of errors began. I was given a menu and some water and was left to peruse the menu. Before the waitress had returned, I had picked out an appetizer and a cocktail. I then discovered that their cook had quit the other week and as a result, no food was available. That's fine and all, but you've gotta give me a heads-up when giving me the menu. That way, I wouldn't have spent the time to look over the food menu and get my heart set on a particular dish. On a better note, they have free WiFi. And service was overall friendly and pretty efficient. Food (N/A): While I was unable to order some food, on most nights, they have a small menu of small plates. More of a snack type of spot then a full meal type of establishment. Drinks (3/5): Don Woods is know for its cocktails and they have a list of 10 or so craft cocktails. Plus, beer, wine, and the typical options that you would find when there's a full bar. I feel like the bartender messed up the proportions on my cocktail as it was a bit rough. One drink and I was out. It seems like Don Woods' is experiencing some turnover which is leading to some mishaps. Combine that with some high expectations given the accolades they won, and it was the recipe for a disaster. I love a good rooftop bar, so I was hoping for more at Don Woods' Say When. Even the lobby of the hotel was experiencing issues. They sell popsicles in the lobby but the guy temporarily manning the front desk didn't know how to get their Square device working. Which ended up meaning no appetizers for me at Don Woods and no popsicles from the lobby. Two strikes. We live to fight another day.
