I have been a Ledo customer for over 20 years. We take out alot. Recently, I have ordered cheese pizza on two occasions from this location with both having the cheese burned black on top. The first time I called and was offered a gift certificate in the mail. A week later no certificate. This week another burnt pizza so I called again. This time I returned this pizza to the store and was told that Ledo cheese pizza is made that way.... burnt??? I have had a lot of Ledo cheese pizza from a lot of Ledo stores over the years but this is the only store that thinks burnt is the correct way to cook chesse pizza. Worst of all, management is not very responsive. They say, "we keep our ovens at the same temp regardless of the type of pizza." Duh! Is there a human involved in this process? Someone smarter than the ovens who can judge when a pizza is done? If you have to have Ledos (like me), I recommend driving to another store. It will be worth the drive. If you can go with another brand.... do it and avoid the frustration! read more

I have eaten here several times and have always been impressed. There is a waiter named Patrick who is top notch. The prices are extremely reasonable for the Washington Area. My wife and adult son used to eat there weekly while my son was out of work. When Ledo's found out my son was unemployed they hired him. I dont know where to start? After hearing so much praise about this place I had to try it out for myself! My family and I were craving pizza so we ordered a large with extra cheese and pepperoni with an order of wings. The wings were huge and the sweet baby Rays BBQ sauce was to die for! The sub had to be the nastiest steak and cheese I've ever eaten! They reminded me of a D.C. carry out sub..... Gross! Soggy, chewy bread and flavorless steak. On the other hand, the calzone and stromboli were on point. So all in all, I would say if you are craving wings or a calzone/stromboli this is a good spot to go. This is a neighborhood restaurant that I wasn't a real fan of...until it got a new owner/management! What a great change!! Joe makes everyone feel welcome, updates to the place are great and the staffs' mood has really improved! The food never disappoints and seems to be getting better, which I didn't think was possible. After the last experience we had at this location, management reached out and offered their most sincere apologies and explained the reason for the problems on out last visit. Today was a completely different experience where the staff was not overwhelmed by problems beyond their control and the food was prepared efficiently as served with a smile. I have no doubt that the staff does strive to do their best, and it was an enjoyable dine-in experience. Take out has not been a problem for us, and between the most recent dine-in experiences, any take out orders have been quickly prepared to proper specifications. I know that the staff does strive to do their best and am glad that we had the opportunity to have a good experience. They don't cut corners, they cut pepperoni and good customer service! I had to come home add additional pepperoni and re-cut the pizza. I ordered online via phone and somehow selected half pep, half cheese- I was told my order was confusing, but they could have called to confirm. My kids didn't like it said it tastes like school pizza. In my opinion it tastes like a decent homemade version of those frozen cheap Tony/ Totinos pizzas...Don't think we'll be back. read more

Horrible experience.... I called in for a pizza for a large party at my work 2 days prior they gave me the price and said they said they would have it ready. They asked my name and phone number. It's been a while since I've been back at this location after living right next to shopping center over 3 years ago, and man have times changed. My friend and I wanted to get a quick bite to eat as we were on a time crunch so we had about 35 min or so. There were probably only 2-3 people at the bar and no one at the tables and more workers than customers. We were served our drinks promptly and the guy asked if we were ready and I told him we just needed like one more minute and he tells us no problem and disappears. We wait about 10 min and finally the employee who was upfront helped us out. All we wanted was a medium spring chicken pizza with a quarter just plain cheese. He said no problem and was going to put it in for us. Next comes another server asking what the order was because they were confused in the kitchen. We explained and he's like ok got it. 3 min later, our original server comes and asks if we are ready to order which at this point is like 15 min since we last saw him bring us drinks. He told us there's no order in the system and was going to make sure the pizza would be in the system. The pizza arrives and get this, it's 3/4 cheese and 1/4 spring chicken. Like really? At this point we tell him we are in a time crunch and we can't have this sent back to fix. Our original server says he will correct the order and get us another one to go (I assume for free?) but we declined. The server who worked up front says the pizza is on them for making the mistake. Then, the original server comes back to let us know he will give us a discount for the confusion. So no free pizza on us for messing up your order and wasting your time, but they took off 6 dollars and some change from the pizza which they charge 14.74 for a 1/4 spring chicken pizza. This was by far the worst experience I've had with any local restaurant. So much miscommunication and a cluster-f. This makes sense if it was a very busy time but again, we were the only ones sitting at the time!! The employee with the hat who worked up front was the man and I wish he was our server because he tried his best to help us and was sincere in his apology. I looove Ledo pizza! I have been to several locations and was so excited to have one open in the neighborhood. My favorites are plain chese and the taco pizza. You must try a salad with Ledo dressing, but beware, it will become a new craving! After this location has been opened for several months, they seemed to have worked out the kinks and have the timing and the service down pat. This is a good place to take kids and sports fans. Tried their chicken broccoli fettuccine. There wasn't an entire breast on the chicken. Four pieces of chicken and maybe a half a cup of broccoli. It was still great but disappointed about the ratios. EXCELLENT FOOD BUT SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE Visited Springfield Ledo's Sunday, 12 October. This was my 3rd visit and normally the service is very good. This time, I was not only ignored once my food arrived, it took 23 minutes just to get my check and pay my bill at the end. The restaurant was busy at the time I arrived. The waitress who took my order, I later found out, was the restaurant Manager. Bonus points there. The food came out hot and fairly quickly considering the number of guests. But that is where the good service ended. No one came by to see if we needed anything else, (a refill would have been nice) but it never happened. To me, good service is when the employees ask you if you need anything BEFORE the customer has to request it. Finally I had to ask for my check from another employee. It took 23 minutes to receive it. I wrote an e--mail to the corporate headquarters in which I received what appears to have been an auto reply message. It said the Manager will be in contact with me. I am NOT looking for a freebie, just an apology for the service. Well, it appears that I have been ignored again. No response from Management and it's been a week. read more

This location just opened so I figured I'd try it since I live nearby. Very disappointing. First, they got my order wrong, so after waiting 20 minutes for the food to come out, had to send it back. The replacement came out - it was wrong, had to send it back. The third try was 75% correct (who knew toppings were so tricky) so rather than push into hour 2 of waiting for pizza with hungry kids, I just took it hoping it was at least tolerable. It wasn't. The pizza basically is like a frozen pizza heated in the microwave smothered with toppings to try and fluff it up. Very nasty, I didn't even finish one piece. My kids, who eat any pizza on the planet, didn't even like it so had to run home to make them PBJ. I will say the staff is very friendly and they seem to really try - not sure if the kitchen is just learning or totally incompetent. The manager offered my a coupon for a free pizza, I declined and just took a refund as I won't be going back. Update: I used the free coupons they gave me to give them another try.... Glad it was free. This time they got my order right and seemed much better on that end, but the pizza was just horrible. Wish I could give them 0 stars. Chuck e Cheese has better pizza. Love the food hate the wait on the weekends. It's always packed on Friday and Saturday I seen many people walk out due to the long wait. Sunday is a better day so I have learned to call my order in or not go there on Friday or Saturday. If it was not for the long wait each time I would have gave them a five star rating. read more

I have been to at least 5 different Ledo's as an adult, and the one here in Springfield is clearly better managed than any of the rest. The food is good, at good prices. Was not a fan of the sauce It was sweat and I prefer a more robust sauce. As I read some other reviews i saw a mixture of good and bad, now let me state first, i have always been a fan of Ledo's period. I still like the pizza, but have started to notice a decline in sandwiches and in some of the pasta dishes which is sad. It is not the cook, it is the quality of the food being served, ordered pasta a couple times and clearly it was frozen and then microwaved big time. This didn't used to be the case, but have noticed this at other Ledo's, not just this one. The bar area is like a neighborhood bar old school-which is nice, and most of the folks who work there are good people. As Ledo's says, they don't cut corners with their pizza, keep that great thought with all the food. At least the pizza is still the best. read more

Disappointed overall. Our last trip there, I ordered a salad with the dressing on the side. I asked for a different type of dressing as well. The waiter never said anything about an up charge on the dressing, but it was on my bill. The time before, I substituted cranberries for figs on my salad. It was a substitution, not an addition. No mention of an up charge, but $1.75 on my bill. At the very least, the wait staff should tell you that they are charging extra for things. With more and more restaurants opening in Springfield, Ledo's is going to have to do more to get me to return. read more
