This is the bottom of the wing box. Seriously. I've never had wings delivered this poorly. This is disgusting.

I've never said this about any place, until we placed an order tonight for dinner: Effing - awful. I'll never recommend them to anyone ever again. The food we received was beyond mediocre (McDonald's dollar menu is winning gold stars over and over again over this quality of food from Vocelli). To top it off, my husband threw up 10 minutes after eating what we ordered. Both orders of wings - Garlic Romano, came inside a pizza box with no plastic or anything to keep the sauce in. Nothing but a simple piece of waxy paper. WTF is this business thinking? Do you not understand that hot, oily foods need a heat resistant plastic container; not an absorbent container like cardboard? Please feel free to see pictures that I've attached at how poorly packaged the wings were. It was disgusting. The oil soaked through to the bottom of the box and onto the top of where our next sorry order was. The wings were sorry, mushy, and just a solid disappointment. I took a bite of one wing and threw the rest in the garbage. I wouldn't feed a starving animal that food. My husband didn't realize their texture until he was about 5 wings in. We both have not eaten well today and unfortunately, we were actually looking forward to this dinner. Vocelli's definitely made sure we kept the record for dinner. The sub was terrible. We paid for extra meat - we got regular. The cheese was half-melted to the waxed paper they wrapped it in. Such a waste. At least Paisano's Pizza down Backlick Road. packs their subs full of meat when their customers pay. I guess we didn't matter much? The Stromboli (the $12.57 Stromboli, because we wanted some veggie toppings) was greasy and covered with some buttery/greasy garlic Parmesan that's reminiscent of Domino's, but Domino's is obviously higher class than this restaurant can provide. Disappointment isn't the word. This place is awful. I had it a few years ago when I worked down the road. The food was crap then, and it's crap now. I used to recommend this brand name highly, because I've had good Vocelli food. Sadly, not here. What a shame. I hope the owners see this. They all need a wakeup call if they want to stay in business.

Don't be fooled by their variety of sauces on the menu. They only know how to put red sauce on your pie.

Although she never provided the gift card. We went back about a month ago and had a lovely experience. They had the normal bartender waiting on us and it was great. So we decided we try it again. Big mistake! The next time we went back, they were back to their regular cocktail server who refused to wait on me because of the review I left. I've never mentioned her by name. I only described the experience. Ironically, my experience was not even about her, I think she just has such a guilty conscience, she assumed it was about her. So now we have a restaurant owner, who allows their waitstaff to deny service to people if you write a bad review??? Talk about the tail wagging the dog! Plenty of much better restaurants out there that offer good food, and waitstaff that actually does their job, which is waiting on customers. Hard pass for me.

My absolute favorite dish is the Alfredo pasta, and I always pair it with the Parmesan-crusted chicken and sometimes I'll add blackened shrimp, which I did this time. The Alfredo sauce is hands down one of the most flavorful I've had. It's buttery, silky, rich without being overwhelming, and they give you such a generous portion that you definitely leave satisfied. The Parmesan-crusted chicken is just as delicious. It's moist, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. Adding shrimp just takes it over the top. We also had the mozzarella sticks, and they were everything you want them to be, crispy on the outside and absolutely overflowing with cheese on the inside. Fresh, hot, and really delicious. I also have to mention their wine selection, which I really enjoy. Whether you want something light or something a little more bold, there are plenty of great options to pair with your meal. What I love most about Maggiano's is the atmosphere. You can truly make it whatever you want it to be. It can be a casual night out, a family celebration like we had, or even a romantic date night. It has this perfect balance of cozy and inviting, depending on your mood. The staff is always very knowledgeable and pleasant, which makes the whole experience even better. There's plenty of parking, it's great for groups, and it's definitely kid-friendly.

Our bartender was alright. No greeting, no name, no smile. Things I kind of look for before ordering. The service was pretty subpar. The drinks however is what saved them. It was a very good experience. What stood out to me was the excellent service by the professionally dressed servers, especially with the water, champagne and coffee refills. The dishes were all well-prepared, even if the buffet isn't huge. And actually, there was a chicken in cream sauce that was ultra ultra delish. But I understand that Fratelli's rotates dishes in their buffet, so the chicken dish may or may not be in future buffets. The buffet included your typical waffle station. It also included a dessert table, which was cake and pie. Yeah, we'd come back to Fratelli's buffet again.

I had been a few dates with her in the late winter into spring, and this was our 2nd to last date. The date was pretty good, but the relationship didn't go anywhere ultimately. I lived in Wheaton, and she lived in Arlington, so that posed challenge of seeing each other that much. I got a girlfriend over 1.5 months later, which was good for a while. The food at Fratelli was excellent, best Italian I've had in northern VA except for Scafa's in Spotsylvania County, which is far from the true northern VA. I got some noodle, mushroom, some meat dish, which was excellent. Service was good too. I'd come back here if I was ever along the Van Dorn corridor, but the odds are low of ever being around here these days. In fact, I used to live over here walking distance to here but never ate here when I did, and I've never shown my girlfriend of 1 year 9 months that apartment as we just are never over here and live a bit closer to Baltimore than DC now. Ironically, we were in Alexandria just yesterday (Old Town) for a birthday party, but Alexandria in general is quite rare.

The smaller setting and attentive service create a relaxed, personal experience that works especially well for date nights or quiet meals with friends. Portions Portions are generous and satisfying. Pasta dishes and entrees arrive hearty and filling, often with enough for leftovers. It's comfort-style Italian that doesn't hold back on quantity. Community There's a strong community feel here -- from the welcoming tone of the staff to the loyal local customer base. The restaurant reflects a family-first ethos that shows up in both service style and operating approach. Pro tip: Check the hours before you go. They keep limited days and times -- mostly late lunch and dinner service -- which reflects their family values and operating philosophy.
