Good, not great. The meatballs felt under seasoned and maybe used too much panade because the texture felt a bit too soft. I presume the tomato sauce is plain DOP tomatoes but it could've used some salt. The pizza was good. It's stiffer than Neapolitan pizzas I've had in the past because slices were firm enough to pick up. Perhaps this is something customers requested. It felt like it was missing pillowy softness that I think of with Neapolitan. The cannoli's were okay. I can't quite place my finger on it but felt fine. Perhaps the shell texture was different than what I'm accustomed to and it felt pretty hard. I had brought my sister here and she thought the meal was very good. Service was very friendly and prompt. Grabbed dinner to go and overall had a good experience. The pepperoni pizza was delicious with its oven-baked thin crust--definitely the highlight! I ordered online and it was ready when I arrived! This time I ordered the lunch pizza which also came with a salad (not pictured). The size of the pizza was a bit smaller than their regular small pizzas but it was great for a lunch portion along with the side salad! I dined at Pupatella for the first time. I was excited to try their small plates and pizzas. We ordered a variety of pizzas, including their Marg, pesto, and meatball. The arancini was a little tough, and I would have liked a little more sausage inside. The brussel sprout dish has apples in it, which was interesting~? I don't think it added anything to the dish, but it didn't spoil it either. The pesto was less creamy than I prefer, but the marg was a hit. I loved the sauce and thinner crust! I've never felt so aggressively rushed out of a restaurant before. Came in with the family on a Friday night and upon being seated, we ordered our drinks and an appetizer and said we needed a sec to choose our pizzas. Couple minutes later our server comes back and says actually we need to get our pizzas in now because "there are people waiting for this table." We'd been in our seats for maybe five minutes at this point. Then when we're all just starting our second slice, beverages maybe half finished, all four of us clearly actively still eating, she asks if we want boxes. The menu stated the pizza comes with basil but there were only a few. Surprisingly the caprese salad arrived ten minutes after the pizza and it appears our server prepared it. I went to Pupatella on a Friday night, and even though it was pretty busy, I can confidently say that I still had an amazing time. I had Angela as my server, and she was just a gem. She made sure that even though the place was packed, I wouldn't feel like it was. She was very attentive, from taking my order to making sure that everything came out correctly. When asked what I should try on the menu for tonight, she recommended the Caivano. It was an amazing pizza! I would definitely order it again. There is even a bar, and you can order beer and wine. The staff and service is friendly and efficient. We tried the arugula and prosciutto pizza and the caivano. One hungry person could easily finish a whole pizza. I enjoyed the arugula pizza. It was light and crispy. The caivano was very soggy, so a little less enjoyable. However I did crisp up a left over slice on the stove at home, and enjoyed it a lot. I liked their neopolitan style pizza a lot. I definitely recommend giving it a try because it's less heavy and less greasy than traditional America pizzas. read more
