Malek's has been around for many years. It's a great place to eat especially late at night as it is open into the early morning hours everyday of the week. Service is always good and the food is great. I usually get a sub or pasta. On this occasion, I ordered baked Spaghetti with meatballs. The meatballs are made from scratch and are excellent. It might look ok but it's disgusting, lazy, and tasteless pizza. The toppings aren't baked in at all. It's basically raw vegetables thrown on top of cheese. We wanted to support a small business but you're better off getting something like Papa John's or Ledo's. read more

I got the hand tossed combo pizza without ground beef, and it was pretty good! Just for one person I think the Small is more than enough. Malek's is an institution of Springfield. Don't remember how many years, but it has been here some time. Great service. Parking can make me pull on my scalp. Yet if you want a nice family restaurant, or date location this is quite good. Also nice that this part of the county has been improved. Pizzas are good, but the steak and cheese subs are my "go to." They are delicious, generous portions, and could be addictive. Spaghetti and meatballs is tasty also. This is one to check out. They really are a good spot to dine at. read more

The medium cut French fries came out hot and fresh. The first bite was greeted by a crisp warm burst of f-ing amazing flavor. Paired with chilled Heinz ketchup I found another heaven. Thank you! And that's just the French fries. Heavens keep opening up with the steak and cheese. Fluffy delicious bread filled with the right combination of lettuce, tomatoes, grilled onions, cheese, sauce, and hot peppers. The meat gets a mention alone. Damn! Thank you for a wholesome, flavorful, and all round great meal. All while seated in down to earth booths and tables with walls adorned with greenery, paintings, and a cool tapestry. As a pizza snob from NJ, this is the closest pie I can get like the ones from back home. It reminds me of Scotto's Pizzeria back in the 70s outside Tenafly when I was a kid. I thought it would overpower the flavor of the pizza itself but I could still taste it was a pizza even with the strong flavors of Philly cheesesteak. Good combo. It had been several years since we had visited this restaurant, and the interior ambiance is pretty much the same as before. Actually I used to come to this restaurant years ago when I was in high school. Back then it was a small pizzeria. I think this place is still owned by the same family but I'm not sure. I ordered a baked spaghetti with meat sauce that cost an additional $2.00. My Mom ordered the chicken parmesan platter. Both of our platters came with a side house salad. We waited a decent amount of time for our orders, and they both can honour table hot. The spaghetti was not that good honestly. There were huge chunks of meat sauce but little to no actual tomato sauce. I managed to eat about half of it. My Mom mentioned that the chicken breast slices were somewhat dry, but still ok. I've lived in Springfield for over 5 years and have never given this place a try. After reading all the great reviews I decided to try it out. I'm a New Yorker who loves a good pizza pie. Went in on a Friday evening and there were quite a few people dining. That's always a good sign. When I walked in I was immediately greeted by the ladies at the front desk. Based on the reviews I was most curious to try their pizza. I went with a small 12 inch pie, which is 8 slices (all their pies are 8 slices). Just enough for 2 people. I got half pepperoni half sausage. Since I was taking it home I asked them not to cut it so that I could pop it in the oven on my pizza stone once to get the bubbly cheese and crispy crust. I also ordered their chili which was their soup of the day (very good chili). The chili reminded me a little bit of Wendy's chili, which I love. The pizza was everything I hoped for in a pizza. It reminded me of a New York pie, which doesn't happen often. I can't believe it took me so long to give this place a try. I really loved this place ever since I moved nearby, however, after my visit last weekend I don't see myself coming back. I have lived her 27 years and used to come here a lot. Haven't been her in a while. Went here for a late night meal last night and decided on two appetizers instead. Ordered the calamari and zucchini sticks. The zucchini was fine but the calamari was AWFUL. It was dry and rubbery and tasted old and fishy. It honestly looked like it had been previously served and taken off someone's plate, refried, and served again. We asked that they take it off our bill and they did. The pizza here is sooooo good! My go to's would be the meat pizza and the breakfast pizza. I haven't tried them all though. The fried zucchini; omg! I love that they are open very late and have really good food for those hours of operation. They have a very filling Greek salad. They have monthly fundraisers that outreach to benefit the community that you can donate to also. Highly recommended. read more

After a long day work I always crave pizza. Me and my coworkers have been wanting to try this place out for a while now and we finally did. We went on a Tuesday evening, I was really hungry that day and since Makeks closes late it was convenient. The pizza is AMAZING, it has the right portions of sauce and cheese, and it comes hot like if it were coming straight out of the oven. Everyone is very friendly, our server was Stephanie, as soon as we sat down she attended us with a positive attitude, she was very attentive and helpful. The restaurant looks aesthetically pleasing and clean. In my opinion the price is great for the quality the food has. Overall 5 out of 5. Will come again and order more pizza. Thank you. read more

Im surprised of the reviews on yelp/google and decided to give this place a try. The pizza here is super soggy, oily, and literally tasteless. The cheeze/sauce used on the pizza seemed extremely cheap. The interior of the restaurant including boothes were very dirty. Service also seemed off as my and my GF were left waiting for quiet some time, then once we were seated we werent even asked for a drink let alone bought a cup of water until i went to the register and asked the "server". Def doesnt live up to the hype presented in the reviews online which makes me think most of these reviews are "fake", or generated by employees/management. I have been eating at Malek's for 20 years +. Can say enough about the great food and customer service ice.

If it's not drippy, oozy pizza, my go-to here is chicken souvlaki with rice and salad. We are lucky to live about a block away so it was piping hot. (And fast) The delivery driver was at my door almost before I could hang up the phone! Chicken is nicely charbroiled, rice is , well, rice but still yum and salad is simple but they make Italian dressing in house- quite tangy! I gotta say too, they still have their own drivers and you don't have to wait or pay an exorbitant fee for a delivery service. Love Malek's, keep up the good work! We'll be here!! read more
