2nd time visit here but the first was over 2 years ago. Again excellent bean w/pork soup and grilled cheese sandwich. My wife had the chicken Caesar salad that was very fresh and had plenty of chicken. Glad to have remembered this place. We did have to show validated COVID vaccination status for inside seating... read more

If you like Mayo on your quesadilla, this is the spot... but seriously, who puts Mayo on a quesadilla?! Weird white people food. In theory, the menu sounded good, but it was bland and gross. Cookies are stale hockey pucks. The salad was the best part and it didn't even have anything special, just greens. Extremely expensive for super bland, unseasoned, no thrills food. Like I said, it sounds good on the menu, but it's not. Save your money read more

Okay, here my very first experience of gazpacho. It's not that blended gazpacho, but more chunky gazpacho. I loved it very much though that I had to mimic and try to make it at home also so that my nephew can try. Thank you Leaf & Ladle for help creating my new summer go to soup recipe! read more

Amazing vegan options!! Had decently high expectations for this place based on the reviews but it exceeded all expectations! We got the BLTA wrap (gluten free) and the Vegan Italian panini and both were incredible. The BLT wrap had so much filling that it was bursting out of the wrap!! The flavors were amazing and they did the coconut bacon super well. Fill d with super fresh veggies, tempeh and coconut. Their vegan caesar is to die for and the wrap was perfectly dressed. Side salad with balsamic was good too! The Italian Panini was amazing too. The tofu ricotta was super impressive. I'm vegetarian not vegan, and I wouldn't have been able to tell it wasn't real ricotta is no one told me! The food was great and at a reasonable price which made it even better. Definitely will be coming back to try more. read more

I adore this place (that I genuinely meant to try out for YEARS). Salads are huge for the cost, and full of awesome veggies/proteins/flavors. Their vegan grilled cheese is BOMB, and there is always a rotating special that will blow your mind. Vegan tempeh is delicious, and perfect in their Asian pork salad as a substitute. We are really happy with ordering their meals on Viking Food, but regardless of how we get it, it's always devoured. Check their Facebook for what menu they're offering that day. GO! :) read more

Great salads, wraps and soups. A bit pricey for a basic salad. Outdoor seating. Food is nice and fresh.

Had high expectations but soup was lukewarm.. I like it served boiling hot.. and lacked flavour. The panini was great but was looking forward to warm comfort of yummy soup. Value 4/5 Atmosphere 3/5 Service 3/5 Quality 3/5 13/20 read more

Pretty good! 'Got the turkey pesto panini and it was ok. Very crispy and filling, but lacking in flavor and could have used more pesto. Went with two friends who enjoyed their pesto wrap and salad thoroughly. read more

Great food, friendly staff. Nice small place in downtown. You can't go wrong with any salad

I love Leaf and Ladle. They have good soup Everytime which is hard when you have seasonal soup! I wish they would use less dressing on the salad but that's just me. Everyone who works there is crazy nice!! They help ya figure out what you want to eat if you're indecisive (like me). I love the wraps they have and the soup. It's a great place to bring vegan friends. The ambiance is adorable. It's such a cute Lil store front. I'm a big fan of this place!! read more

This place is amazing just like a lot of smaller places on State Street! The food was amazing and felt very fresh, with big portions so you never leave feeling hungry! Staff was kind but, since the place is smaller it can feel a little cramped read more

One of the worst customer experiences ever! I couldn't believe how rude the server was. I had opened the door and was looking in to see if they were open and to see the menu. I had my helmet in one hand, my mask on my finger, and my phone in my hand. I was still in the doorway and she didn't even say hello, but told me to put my mask on. I said ok and was attempting to put my phone in my pocket when she rudely shouted to put my mask on a second time. I said I was putting my phone away and pointed to the mask to indicate I was about to do this (even though I wasn't in the store yet) Before I could finish, she again rudely shouted to put a mask on. Unreasonable and completely unacceptable. (There was NO ONE in the establishment) I hope an owner can teach their staff some manners! read more

Great food and good customer service in a quirky little hole in the wall. Jonesing for a panini I decided to give this place a try and let me tell you... AMAZING. Turkey panini with avocado added. Pesto mayo and the Focaccia was toasted just enough to provide some resistance to the tooth yet soft and warm once you got through the toasted shell. Multiple options including GF and Vegan but with amazing non GF and non Vegan options as well. Only downside was the cheap plastic table covers that were sticky. Will be back. read more

One of my favorite spots in all of Bellingham, staff is super nice and the food is always amazing! Not a bad price ether. Give them a try!

Our friend suggested we try this place and we couldn't have been happier! This place is tucked away and has a very Bham vibe. With lots of healthy and fun choices. Definitely recommend this awesome restaurant! read more

Best gazpacho around; wonderful asian salad. Perfect take out prepared with grace and smiles.

I was satisfied with the Cubano panini with the mixed greens. Tried my girlfriends corn chowder and was dank and hearty! They have a tray with a plethora of hot sauces which is a huge plus. Also have a changing area for little ones! read more

So happy we stumbled upon this place. This is a wonderful lunch spot with almost as many vegan options as meat options. We ordered two of the vegan panini sandwiches and they were both fantastic. The tofu panini was my favorite. They really stand by their logo "food for all!". It looked like they also had many gluten free options. We will be back!!! read more

I'm not used to food this healthy tasting so good - but they're sandwich's win on both fronts; try the Cubano!

Food is super good. All of it. Not a subpar or "not-worth-it" thing on the menu. Just expect apathetic service. Never had a cheery experience, per se. I don't think everyone necessarily cares about that so I don't think it kills this review but it definitely goes into my decision of whether or not to eat here for lunch some days. read more

Finally made it to L&L today and I can say that I certainly wasn't disappointed! I mainly went for the vegan options they offer because it's nice to have choices! So my boyfriend and I couldn't decide what to get so we got The vegan panini, the Italian vegan panini, and the vegan BLTA wrap. The workers were so nice and actually split everything for us both to on our own plates. The food is fresh and delicious. The actual eating area is cute and there's plenty of room. I will be back to try the other vegan offerings as soon as I can. Please go and give them a try. read more

Awesome awesome soup. If the soup is any indication of the rest of the menu, definitely stop . This is a very tiny gem that must be visited time and time again. I was a chef in a Vegetarian restaurant for a couple of years, and I couldn't replicate the Gazpacho soup. Tomato basil was perfect and the staff were great. Tough parking but worth it. read more

We had lunch here yesterday and were very happy with the food and the friendly staff. I had a generous taste of the yummy Hearty Veggie Soup and then ordered a bowl of it. Both my husband and I ordered the vegetarian Caesar Salad with tempeh and it was terrific. They were not stingy with the tempeh!! As strict vegetarians, we are virtually never able to eat Caesar Salad outside our home because of the use of anchovy paste in the dressing. The only negative was that the salad portion was ridiculously HUGE and we could easily have shared one. The staff should tell people how huge it is!!! We would definitely go again! read more

We wanted to like this place- friendly people, cute vibes. Unfortunately the food was just bland.

I've heard about this place, but never had enough interest to come in. A friend persuaded me to come in for a light dinner. I had the vegan panini with a side of greens. It was definitely fresh. The food was good, but it doesn't really stand out as a place that I'd recommend. The menu isn't so different from other places. The service is good and the employees are friendly. It's the kind of place I'll come if I'm invited, but not likely a place that I would select on my own. read more

I went at lunch and had a grill cheese panini and broccoli cheese soup. The grilled cheese was good but not extraordinary. The soup was very good and obviously homemade. The salads looked amazing. Lots of vegan options. Small place. All the options were between $8-14 about. Plan on spending at least $14. read more

This is One of my favorite places to go for a great salad. I love the Asian chicken salad. It was a favorite for years for a tasteful healthy reasonableness priced lunch. During Covid it remains a favorite place to grab a bit to eat when I am out and about. read more

Horrible service. I tried to order over the phone and because these people don't have their Yelp current I didn't have the right menu to order from and the woman taking my order, instead of being kind and courteous and giving me 30 seconds to give her my backup order told me to call back. I am appalled they would be so rude. I was outside when I called and I could see they were not even busy. It was shocking a small business would treat a customer who wants to support local that way. Will never return or try to give them business again. read more

Great service, tables and floors appear clean, prices are fair. Vegetables are fresh, and there are many healthy options to choose from, including some indulgent/rich paninis. They serve Happy Mountain Kombucha tea, which is wayyy better than the local Kombucha Town if overly sweet beverages aren't your thing. Stamp card is only for wraps ;( , the salads are pretty darn good though, not heavily dressed with salad dressing (like I've experienced at Fiama Pizza)...I may have to recycle my punchcard. read more

I can't get enough of this place for lunch with the coworkers. The food is healthy & fresh. It's hard to decide every time I visit because everything is perfect. My favorites are the chicken caesar wrap, the Asian salad or any soup. The portions are very generous and there are vegetarian, vegan, & gluten free options. They even have premade items to go. read more

We were just passing through and were starving. We decided to split the turkey panini, and Asian salad. It was absolutely delicious. The bread and ingredients were extremely fresh. While waiting for our meal we couldn't help but covet the tomato soup another customer was enjoying. It was just enough for 2! We were passing through town and we picked this place because we wanted to support a local business. The food was good but the customer service was a absolute zero. There is no where to sit down aside from two small tables on the street. They have a barn a store that opens at four but you can't take your food to eat there. Even though there was not a soul in the bar, they still hassled us about sitting at the table outside. This is unfortunate because the food was excellent. read more

Cute place and the customer service was decent. Although they messed up my order. I ordered a chicken Caesar salad and they gave me a wrap. They were kind enough to make it again and gave me a complementary cookie. Sadly I don't eat gluten or sugar. So we didn't get to eat it. But anyway, the chicken and wrap we got has no life to it. The Caesar dressing wasn't that flavorful and the chicken breast didn't even have any flavor. I had to force myself to eat since I paid $14 for it. We are visiting Bellingham for the first time and every restaurant we've been to.... the food lacks flavor! read more
