    Falafel Sandwich
    Amanda C.

I've only been here twice and have only done takeout of the falafel wrap... both times this sandwich has been IT. So good, nicely toasted wrap, and keeps you full for a while. About $12 for the goods. I need to come back and try MUCH more as the full menu looks great. But I can't help myself to get the same thing each time... will be back. So far, so great.

Everything homemade with the best ingredients, cold pressed juices and vegan selection with excellent service. Tried the wheat grass, wheat grass ginger, and tumeric shot with avocado toast and eggplant / Zaalouk. Had a bite of roasted cauliflower as well. All delicious and we will definitely be coming back.

We stopped here based on Yelp reviews and we're not disappointed! My sis and I both got the falafel sandwich - baked falafel mixed in with veggies and tahini. The owner isn't super talkative, but was very pleasant and friendly. The sandwiches are really tasty and there were so many amazing looking options! I don't live very close, but would love to come back and try something else. I love the decor and ambience.

This is the cute cafe that you think of when you want some place quaint in a small town with good, fresh food and pleasant service. Nearly everything can be made gluten free upon request and all items are freshly made to order. It's a great place for small meetups, too.

The sandwiches and matcha here are so good. You can always count on fresh ingredients and nice customer service.

    Falafel Sandwich!

Visited Leaf and Ginger for the first time this morning and had an excellent experience. The young man who took my other was lovely, very helpful and very patient with me. I ordered the falafel sandwich based on the yelp reviews and it was just as described, amazing. Will go back again and again because I think I need to try everything on the menu! Everything looks so great and I am so happy to have found this place!

Wow, this place is the real deal. Stopped in late afternoon on a Saturday. It's on the Main Street of Wakefield; I recommend parking on one of the side streets because it's tough to find a spot on the main road. We ordered a Caprese sandwich and falafel pita sandwich. Amazing. The Caprese was my favorite though, because of the great (seemingly homemade) bread, and the thick slices of mozzarella. I loved that all of the to-go packagings were compostable. They sell some tremendous artisanal chocolate at the register. Low on added sugar and sweetened with just a touch of honey. I highly recommend the spicy cayenne. The staff was very friendly; it seemed like a family-run business. Great to see that! Check it out, it's worth the drive, and you won't be disappointed.

    Zaalouk and Falafel Sandwich

Hm... have had some questionable meals here the last two times we got food from them. Inconsistent and weird. Zaalouk was stone cold (you could tell it was previously hot) and smelled not great, falafel sandwich was not tasty and even hot sauce didn't make it better. I also had the beet juice here a few visits ago and it was undrinkable with all of the ginger falling to the bottom and the temperature of the juice was lukewarm. I'll stick to the smoothies.

I was excited to learn about a new healthy option in Wakefield, and it definitely did not disappoint. This place replaced the former Subway sandwich shop on Main St. I've stopped by three times so far and have tried a different smoothie each time that were all delicious: the Post Workout, Chocoholic, and Paradise--so far, I've liked the Paradise the best. I also ordered their caprese sandwich twice which was absolutely tasty and fresh. I look forward to visiting again to try more of their menu.

So glad to see healthy, vegan and Mediterranean options in Wakefield. Brand new addition to town next to the Honeydew in the center. Hummus was among my favorites and can't wait to try the falafel and baba when she hasn't run out of them. Restaurant focused on providing healthy eating options.

Not complaints or additional issues, simply showed them the order I placed and fulfilled it in a short time. Every time I've visited they've been pretty friendly and attentive to order details. I always get their smoothies so that's all I can comment on but everything I've tried always tastes good. I will agree with some of the reviews in that the prices can be a little on the higher side for this brand but one of the better options out there. The location has plenty of seating to enjoy indoors if desired. Giving five stars because I'm a repeat customer and customer service has always been good and I haven't felt the quality has degraded which is a win for me. While good, there are potential areas of improvement: - Display nutritional information of products (I like to know how many calories and sugar I'm ingesting in what I think is a healthy option) - I would LOVE to see organic options - Either slightly more modest pricing or a better reward system would be a good way to get more frequent visits :)

I ordered a smoothie that ended up being hard to drink from a straw as the smoothie was way too thick. There also were some lumps in the drink that weren't fun to swallow (gag!) so I'm thinking the drink could have been blended more thoroughly. And, I saw on the menu most if not all of the smoothies were made with almond milk. Why not just use regular milk instead of almond milk? I thought almond milk wasn't that healthy for us. Lectins in the milk? Also the Liv's smoothie taste wasn't that appealing. I think Liv's relies on sweeteners like dates and vanilla and protein powders instead of using cow's milk and natural sweeteners like fruit. I make naturally sweet very healthy green smoothies all the time at home using my Nutra Ninja and they come out absolutely delicious and thick enough not to be difficult to drink from a straw and there are NO LUMPS ever. For $10 for a 16oz drink I expected better. Not sure I'd ever go back.

First off, it's 8:30a.m. and the place is half full of mom's and their kids. So the locals also approve! One wall is covered in book shelves. A foosball table is in the back corner. A couple of tables take space in the sunny window front. All on brand. Restrooms in the back are clean. The order line forms on the left. They have all the expected sandwiches waiting for you including a Vegan Breakfast sandwich and of course some pastry. They have lots of cold and hot coffee beverages. I was tempted by a blood orange latte, but I stuck to my Americano. I had that with one of their huge croissants. I think the gentleman who helped us was new. It took him a bit of time to make the beverages, but that's OK. We're patient. He was very polite, asked all the right questions and got the order correct and that's what matters. We picked a couple of comfortable seats near the entrance and watched the constant flow of customers come and go. Around 9a.m. it looked like a bus load of high school students were dropped off at the door. Ha! Not an actual bus, but that line was long. This is a great spot for a variety of coffee drinks, pastry, sandwiches and meeting up with friends. The neighborhood clearly agrees.

The Bahama Mama is my favorite and never disappoints. Honestly, the smoothies alone keep me coming back. I also love the new Somerville location--it's fresh, clean, and welcoming. My only feedback is on the food menu. The meals feel a bit more prepackaged than I'd prefer, and I'd love to see more freshly prepared options or variety in that area. Overall, this is a great spot, especially for smoothies, and with a bit more focus on fresh food offerings, it could be even better. Looking forward to seeing how the menu evolves!

I ordered the sunrise sunset. I did not opt to make changes, but they make it really easy in the app to customize your order. When I arrived my smoothie was already made and ready. They kept it in a cooler instead of on the counter which is thoughtful, since a smoothie is best cold and fresh. The employees were friendly. It was not very busy so it took no time at all to run in there and be helped. And it was very clean inside. The smoothie was great, nice and tropically - just as expected. And it is a very generous portion. When you have an account you get points and rewards which is cool - there was an offer when you sign up that you'll get a free smoothie after your first order..but it apparently is only good for a week. So I unfortunately didn't get to use it... but will def keep TSC in mind for next time I want a nice fresh smoothie!
