I really want to love this place, and there's a lot to like. The smoothies are absolutely excellent--consistently delicious and always a go-to. The Bahama Mama is my favorite and never disappoints. Honestly, the smoothies alone keep me coming back. I also love the new Somerville location--it's fresh, clean, and welcoming. My only feedback is on the food menu. The meals feel a bit more prepackaged than I'd prefer, and I'd love to see more freshly prepared options or variety in that area. Overall, this is a great spot, especially for smoothies, and with a bit more focus on fresh food offerings, it could be even better. Looking forward to seeing how the menu evolves! read more

Downloaded the app for in-store pickup. It was really easy to sign up and place an order. Since I was in the plaza, I set pickup for ASAP. It said it would be ready in 10-15 minutes. I ordered the sunrise sunset. I did not opt to make changes, but they make it really easy in the app to customize your order. When I arrived my smoothie was already made and ready. They kept it in a cooler instead of on the counter which is thoughtful, since a smoothie is best cold and fresh. The employees were friendly. It was not very busy so it took no time at all to run in there and be helped. And it was very clean inside. The smoothie was great, nice and tropically - just as expected. And it is a very generous portion. When you have an account you get points and rewards which is cool - there was an offer when you sign up that you'll get a free smoothie after your first order..but it apparently is only good for a week. So I unfortunately didn't get to use it... but will def keep TSC in mind for next time I want a nice fresh smoothie! read more

We tried the smoothie and the acai bowl that recently came out. The smoothie cleansed my soul. Super fresh and sweet with no added sugar. Usually, the green smoothie comes sweetened with something, but we opted for no sugar and the banana naturally sweetened it. The acai bowl made me disappointed. For $12, it was TINY. I ate it and I wasn't even full. We came on a Sunday afternoon and it was so busy and loud. The staff prepared everything to order and helped customers out promptly. I must say I have had many smoothies and shakes but this, this one tops them all in greater Boston. You can find this little gem right off of route 1 tucked away in the corner. The shakes are not only thick but not overly sweet where added sugar does not seem to be a substitute. The thick consistency leaves you fulfilled but not due to sweetness. Overall, I highly recommend this location if you're in a sweet but yet healthy mood. read more

If zero stars were an option, I'd give zero stars. This is the most unprofessionally run place I have EVER come in contact with. After my order was cancelled BY THE STORE because their delivery service didn't pick up my order, I called to make sure I was going to get a refund. I was told instead I should "wait until another delivery person "might become" available". So they wanted my cooked food to continue to sit there until someone MIGHT be able to deliver it. After being talked down to by the night manager after literally arguing to have MY money back, I called today to follow up. I was then HUNG UP ON by the manager because they said it was DoorDashes problem. I did NOT place the order with DoorDash I used the Tropical Smoothie App. He also tried to tell me the order was delivered. I will be contacting the franchise owner. BUYER BEWARE. We had a peanut/tree nut allergy and staff was knowledgeable and careful about preparing a smoothie free of cross contamination.
