I've only been here twice and have only done takeout of the falafel wrap... both times this sandwich has been IT. So good, nicely toasted wrap, and keeps you full for a while. About $12 for the goods. I need to come back and try MUCH more as the full menu looks great. But I can't help myself to get the same thing each time... will be back. So far, so great.

Everything homemade with the best ingredients, cold pressed juices and vegan selection with excellent service. Tried the wheat grass, wheat grass ginger, and tumeric shot with avocado toast and eggplant / Zaalouk. Had a bite of roasted cauliflower as well. All delicious and we will definitely be coming back.

We stopped here based on Yelp reviews and we're not disappointed! My sis and I both got the falafel sandwich - baked falafel mixed in with veggies and tahini. The owner isn't super talkative, but was very pleasant and friendly. The sandwiches are really tasty and there were so many amazing looking options! I don't live very close, but would love to come back and try something else. I love the decor and ambience.

This is the cute cafe that you think of when you want some place quaint in a small town with good, fresh food and pleasant service. Nearly everything can be made gluten free upon request and all items are freshly made to order. It's a great place for small meetups, too.

Visited Leaf and Ginger for the first time this morning and had an excellent experience. The young man who took my other was lovely, very helpful and very patient with me. I ordered the falafel sandwich based on the yelp reviews and it was just as described, amazing. Will go back again and again because I think I need to try everything on the menu! Wow, this place is the real deal. Stopped in late afternoon on a Saturday. It's on the Main Street of Wakefield; I recommend parking on one of the side streets because it's tough to find a spot on the main road. We ordered a Caprese sandwich and falafel pita sandwich. Amazing. The Caprese was my favorite though, because of the great (seemingly homemade) bread, and the thick slices of mozzarella. I loved that all of the to-go packagings were compostable. They sell some tremendous artisanal chocolate at the register. Low on added sugar and sweetened with just a touch of honey. I highly recommend the spicy cayenne. The staff was very friendly; it seemed like a family-run business. Great to see that! Check it out, it's worth the drive, and you won't be disappointed.

Hm... have had some questionable meals here the last two times we got food from them. Inconsistent and weird. Zaalouk was stone cold (you could tell it was previously hot) and smelled not great, falafel sandwich was not tasty and even hot sauce didn't make it better. I also had the beet juice here a few visits ago and it was undrinkable with all of the ginger falling to the bottom and the temperature of the juice was lukewarm. I'll stick to the smoothies.

I was excited to learn about a new healthy option in Wakefield, and it definitely did not disappoint. This place replaced the former Subway sandwich shop on Main St. I've stopped by three times so far and have tried a different smoothie each time that were all delicious: the Post Workout, Chocoholic, and Paradise--so far, I've liked the Paradise the best. I also ordered their caprese sandwich twice which was absolutely tasty and fresh. I look forward to visiting again to try more of their menu.

So glad to see healthy, vegan and Mediterranean options in Wakefield. Brand new addition to town next to the Honeydew in the center. Hummus was among my favorites and can't wait to try the falafel and baba when she hasn't run out of them. Restaurant focused on providing healthy eating options.

A few weeks ago I ordered a few falafel sandwiches for a party. The sandwiches were great, and they put them in wraps instead of pita bread and cut them into smaller pieces to feed a larger crowd. They also individually wrapped each smaller piece which I found to be thoughtful for a gathering. They were ready to go on time, and one of the employees walked them to my car for me since I had a small child in my arms. In addition, the owner called me that afternoon to check on how I liked the food. Overall, the sandwiches were delicious and the customer service was exceptional and I will be back for more. read more

Yum!!!! Visited for the 1st time today. Ordered 3 juices to go & they were made fresh. I'm working my way up to doing a juice cleanse & the owner explained how we would sit down beforehand & best determine my health needs. Great staff, clean establishment & smells wonderful inside. loved it! open 5 days and did not have the typical (imo) new restaurant hiccups vegan options, nicest owners/staff imaginable particularly enjoyed the kale salad, raw hummus, baba and ginger/citrus juice. 3 year-old son ate it up like a champ seats only a dozen or so, prepare yourself to take your meal to-go if they are busy thank you for opening in wakefield! read more

Deliciously healthy food! I happened upon this restaurant when in the area and loved it! I got the vegetable couscous that was on special and extremely yummy and my partner got the Zaalouk and the egg muffin, both of which were delicious as well (I tried!). We had a sample of the Morning C juice which was very tasty and my partner orders a Supergreen which's he loved but was slightly too "green" tasting for me (that's how my taste buds go sometimes). The owner also gave us a taste of the Taktouka which was super flavorful and sweet potatoes which were the perfect mix of sweet and spicy. Overall a phenomenal food experience! read more

I wandered into this place while waiting for a shoe repair and couldn't be happier about the repair delay. The owner, Casey, cheerfully filled me in on the brief history of this amazing cafe and served me a delicious sweet potato harissa mash with super greens and baked eggs on homemade bread. You would not have guessed that it was organic as it was decadently savory. Try it! read more

I just discovered Leaf and Ginger yesterday and was so happy. I had been hoping to find a place that would do green juices like they do, and I love the fact that they sell the cleansing kits in 1 to 7 day supplies. They had Golden Milk on their menu, which has been very hard to find. I got it and both owners warned me about how it was and to be careful. (They weren't kidding. It didn't cool down enough for me to start drinking for a good 20 minutes). It was delicious. I give them 5+ stars also, for cleanliness. Owners were friendly and informative. I'm looking forward to going back! read more

After working from home for over a year we finally decided to order lunch and eat outside and we are very glad we found this place. My goodness salad was delicious and my husband ordered their beyond burger and loved it. We added a side of cauliflower and devoured it. The friendly customer service was a bonus. Leaf and Ginger is a lovely restaurant with a Moroccan flare. The hummus is fresh and delicious, the baba ganoush is fantastic, the pita bread is the best, the juice and smoothies are really tasty and very fresh. The sandwiches are healthy and yummy, with the freshest natural ingredients. I really enjoyed the baked falafel sandwich especially and Leaf and Ginger's Baba and fresh pita bread. The Baba is so wonderful, a must try! Leaf and Ginger also has a beautiful selection of teas and coffees. I have been to Leaf and Ginger several times, and I love it. My family loves Leaf and Ginger's food too, the Baba is something we can all enjoy. read more

Hidden gem! I've been searching for healthy places in the area and they are few and far between. Leaf and Ginger was a great spot to stumble upon! I ordered "The Shred" - a sweet potato hash with baked eggs and topped with spinach and kale all over toast and let me tell you - I will come back here every day for this! It was DELICIOUS! The rest of the menu looks amazing and I'm excited to try something new each time I come. A job well done to this wonderful place in Wakefield for bringing healthy food to the area! read more

Incredibly fresh and delicious! We went for the Detox & Cleanse juices and the Falafel & Caprese sandwiches and were VERY satisfied- the sandwiches were huge and the juices really hit the spot. Honestly, I came in here expecting not to like it. I'm not really a vegan/vegetarian type person. In fact, I only ended up here because I narrowly missed the Brother's closing time. That being said, the chicken sandwich that I had was great. The olive tapenade elevates this sandwich, and I could eat it every day. It didn't feel like eating healthy. The taktouka was also delicious, although if you're not into soft food you might not like the texture. Overall, great meal, I'll be returning soon. read more

Try it, you'll be happy you did! Walking main street looking for some food I stumbled into this cafe. The owner Casey puts such a special passion and touch into his food. I tried some of the hummus and juices, ginger lemon tumerick and wheat grass for a fabulous snack! From Organic to vegan to vegetarian options, I am in heaven.
