2 oeufs au plat + saumon fume (2 eggs and smoke salmon)
    Dean C.

9/6/15: I believe this was our first standard meal in France. Nice intro to casual French cuisine. 1. Foie gras maison, Pain poilane 11,90 EUR: This would be a terrine of foie gras sliced and served with crusty bread, with freshly crushed salt and pepper. Basic, but the foie gras was deliciously rich and smooth (as expected.) Not particularly mind-blowing, but nicely plated and the terrine was nice. 5/10. 2. Petit Dejeuner A L'Anglaise 15,00 EUR: I found these "petit dejeuner's" at various cafes in France. Typically they consist of bread, drink, and some small amount of meat and eggs, like this one. What does 15 euros buy you?--well, that... coffee, orange juice, a croissant and some other pastry? (I forgot), 2 fried eggs, and some smoked salmon. A little expensive for breakfast, but I suppose not horribly over-priced compared to what the same amount buys you in America. Not much here that they would have cooked, just the eggs, so all pretty standard. If I remember correctly, the croissant was high-quality (though pretty much all in France are better than any in America, save for those artisanal types like Tartine in SF). 5/10. The restaurant was cozy. I think this breakfast and the environment is very typical for French cafes. 3/5 #french #france

Excellent service, exquisite food, just an amazing experience. First meal here in Paris and I'm glad this was our choice for lunch!

Great restaurant. Though I didn't eat the staff had enough patience and English to make a hot & thirsty aussie happy on a hot afternoon. Mainly locals and a great atmosphere. Nice place to relax before hitting g the streets again.

Very good service, food and drinks. We went late on a Tuesday and we're not disappointed. See posted photos.

Came In For some happy hour drinks. Sat on the patio. This is what you'd expect from a French cafe. Decent wine list. Friendly staff.

I would say it is a street corner cafe among many where people just go to grab a quick drink and chat. Not too crowded and food is decent

Continuing my search for the perfect baguette ... we stopped in here because everything looked so…read moregood. I did get a couple yummy desserts and a baguette. Sadly, the baguette was kind of mushy and not crispy. I did not enjoy the flavor compared to the other ones I've had in the neighborhood. I really wanted to love it... since I noticed several people walking down the street eating a baguette from here with the Merci Jerome bag in hand. Frankly, it was not my favorite and I ditched it after only one bite.

I would recommend this place! I tried their croque monsieur…read moreand Ube latte and was not disappointed. The croque monsieur had a generous pile of gruyère melted on the sides of the bread with a proportional amount of meat and filling on the inside. With the croque monsieur warmed up, it made a perfect brunch meal with the ube latte. The ube latte is exactly what you would expect but crafted carefully. I would just go back for this delightfully warm concoction in the morning. The service to go along with this made this experience more pleasant as it seems most of the employees were filipinos. They were quick to receive you and leave you beyond satisfied. The shop exudes the classic parisian aesthetic that most people would romanticize and I am glad I experienced it. I would come back for the pleasant experience - try out Merci Jérôme!
