Banh Seo
Juicke C.

It's been a long while since my last visit so taking food delivery to try their food again was my opportunity. I have been craving for banh seo (crepe) and few places offer it. So today was my lucky day. My order consists of fresh spring roll of grilled pork and shrimp and the banh seo. The food was delivered sooner than anticipated time. Kudos to the kitchen and food delivery driver. The crepe was delivered hot and crispy with all the accompany lettuce, basil and mint leaves, and pickled carrot and daikon; and fish sauce. There were plenty of pork and bean sprouts as compared to the shrimp. With warm crispy crepe skin was a certain sweetness and crunch. And with the fresh spring had the unique ingredient of grilled pork along with the usual shrimp. I found the pork to be a nice twist. I had enjoyed both dishes and look forward to try other unique offerings in the future.

I've driven past this place for years but never tried it until recently! I stopped by with a friend for a late lunch/early dinner around 4:30 on a Saturday and it wasn't too busy. We ordered a spring roll appetizer to share and also got a banh mi. I got a coffee as well. The food was good! The banh mi was very affordable and the owner also let us know that the bread is made fresh daily. My friend and I had a nice conversation with the owner and overall we enjoyed the vibe inside the restaurant.

32. Grilled Chicken vermicelli with Egg Rolls
Kaela N.

Been wanted to try good Vietnamese food in the Hayward area and I found Le Paradis. We had the opportunity to meet the owner that told us her story of growing up and passion for food. She was so sweet and hard working. There is plenty of seating inside and no outdoor seating. There is a hidden parking lot in the back of the restaurant but you could also park across the street next to the park. We ordered a chicken vermicelli bowl with egg rolls. It delivered the authentic Vietnamese flavors. This place is good for lunch and dinner. I did not get to try the pastries, although there is a good selection of merengues and cookies, as the owner grew up in France and went to pastry school/worked in a bakery.

11. Grilled Pork & Shrimp Fresh Spring Rolls (2)

I've been coming to Le Paradis regularly for more than 15 years. It's consistently delicious with great potions. I love anything with their grilled pork (fresh spring rolls, vermicelli, anything!) and their vegetarian options are also great. Their soups are fantastic, the green papaya salad with shrimp or tofu - YUM!! This sweet, family owned restaurant beats most of the places I eat in oakland! And Alice, the owner, is always attentive and lovely.

Bun bo hue And beef Pho
Thi N.

Ok I have to be honest We ordered beef Pho and bun bo hue (spicy noodle soup) The Pho is 4/10, broth is a little below average. The veggies are fresh. The beef is chewy and dry. The BunBoHue is ... honestly not good at all. It's the first time I've ever tasted such a strange flavor. The waitress, however, was very polite -- the 3 out of 5 stars are really thanks to her, not the food We cannot finish our food, sorry for that The restaurant itself is old but kept clean, and even the cups were cleaner than what you usually find at similar places. Still, I don't think we'll be coming back. Anyways, it was a good experience overall.

Hot Tea

Park behind bakery! The restaurant was pretty empty. Chicken pho was very rich in flavor. Not a fan of the banh mi. Old bread and not well put together. Enjoyed the spring rolls. Hot tea in a home style mug was cute. Overall, decent spot for affordable pho. Thanks!

***Best food and customer service! Mary was extremely helpful with our order and we loved our experience here! so excited to go back and try all the food! We ordered Pho, and a Sandwich! I want to try the desserts too! I highly recommend checking them out! super delicious!! A+Food, customer service, hospitality! Thank you! Diana

Chocolate Chip Cookie

Ordered on doordash for pick up, prices were on the higher side. I got the grilled chicken spring rolls, they were fresh and good I liked that it has mint but didn't get enough peanut sauce. My coworker got the grilled pork banh mi she said it was good but was not a fan of the bread. Also ordered the crunchy almond cookie, I really enjoyed it, has lots of almonds, nice crunch and not too sweet. The chocolate chip cookie said it was soft and chewy, but mine was hard and crunchy. I do want to come back and try other things on the menu!

Tofu Vietnamese Sandwich
Dhoris P.

I ordered online for lunch and picked up. I came in through the back near the parking lot. My sandwich was ready when I got there. Service was great. I asked if they had a non-dairy milk option for their Thai iced tea. They had almond milk, but when she poured it in the cup, it was lumpy so I didn't get any. I ordered the tofu bahn mi sandwich. The sandwich was small, bread was stale, the tofu had no flavor. The whole thing was dry. I don't think it even had mayo and if it did, it was very little. I was really disappointed with this sandwich. It doesn't take much to add flavor to the tofu. Maybe some salt and pepper or lemongrass perhaps, maybe even add 5 spice. Any type of flavor will do. Just add flavor. Probably will not come back. There are other restaurants w/ way better tofu bahn mi sandwiches.

Beef pho
Angeli S.

I Always get the beef pho here. The broth is good and the standard size gives enough meat. The seating is spacious. We came during lunch on a Friday and it was pretty empty. We've also had their vermicelli and rice plates and they don't disappoint! Great portions!

#30. Grilled Chicken, Shrimp and Egg Rolls Vermicelli
Cathy B.

This place is def a staple here in Hayward! Used to go to this place a lot since I used to live down the street and always have great experience and amazing food. Recently came to have lunch w my best friends and as usual, the food and service didn't disappoint. I ordered #30 which is a vermicelli w grilled chicken and egg roll. Everything was very tasty. The service was quick. The lady who took our order was very nice and funny. I'd definitely comeback to try their pastries next time If you're ever in Hayward, make sure you stop by!

Please excuse the pic of me out of the hospital 2 years ago in the photos uploaded to this…read morerestaurant page!, I was skinny and still recovering health wise! They had lots of delicious food jnside, something for everyone although I've never seen breakfast inside a Thai place before I always go straight for the lunch :) All the staff were very welcoming and let us take our time to order as we do get picky on what we order. Our time that we went, it was busy and they did have plenty of people who were waiting. It does tend to get busy on weekends. I do like chicken a lot after all these years and thats what I had. Overall this was a pleasurable experience, and we're going to visit soon as we're due for a visit.

It would have been five, but the waitress never brought us our appetizer so we had to ask that it would be removed from the bill at the end. The fried mushrooms were heavily greased, and was not seasoned at all and it made it seem like we were biting into nothing but crunchy oil. Was not appetizing. But it was pretty lol The crab fried rice was pretty good. I guess it was one of their specialties. The service was extremely slow. Seems like it would benefit for them to hire a few more people to run tables as it was very obvious that they could not handle the DoorDash orders along with what was going on inside of the restaurant. We had seen some people step out of the kitchen to assist with the DoorDash orders and help the girls in the front organize things. And unfortunately, the DoorDashers had to wait around for a really long time and probably ended up not getting a tip and a bad review due to the delay. Though the food did come out fast! However, it took us about 30 minutes just to get our bill. We actually never really got the Bill. We had walked up to the employees and asked if we can pay for a bill.

Had lunch there recently, warm restaurant, not sure if they have AC, service was a little slow.. food is as good as their other chain restaurants. Super tiny amount you could barely taste it! So I ordered extra crab on the side.... small container of it cost $5!!!!! Not to mention, they don't let you buy some of their lunch soup like the thai resto before them! This is probably the last time I will ever order from this thai resto. There are tons of better places like this anyway with people with great and friendly personality.. This place sucks over all!!!!! Wow, I see my old review.. I'm not deleting it.. Recently, I have ordered four times from this place within two weeks.. I ordered the same things each time but the last time, I ordered more food/ other dishes.. My total was over $100.. the woman that took my order gave me a hard time and guilt tripped me because I asked for some extra pineapple for pineapple fried rice and extra broth for my soup.. she totally gave me a hard time. She didn't even put my order in until my husband got there and paid for it- SHE DOUBTED THAT WE WOULD PICK UP OUR FAMILY DINNER!!!!! Why did I even give this place a try again? I feel like an idiot! That woman is not good for business. She made me feel so bad ordering from them. The point of ordering over the phone is so when we get there, the wait time would be minimal. But no, she didn't trust that we would get our food.. So my husband had to wait for a long ass time! And the fried rice sucked! I don't think thai people cook their food. It definitely doesn't taste like thai food. The guy that took my order the last two times was amazing. I wish that he would be the one taking ordes all the time. But I think I'm done with this place.

There are still several menu items I'd like to try, so I'll definitely be back. My only suggestion is to be patient if you're driving because parking can be a challenge during busy times.
