Booked a reservation for after graduation from Columbia (Class of 2026 right here!) and glad that we did because everything in the area was as busy as I've ever seen it in all my years in the area. We were seated inside away from the front, which was a huge plus with it being 90+ degrees that day. Front of house staff were warm and welcoming, injecting some humor into what I would guess was a stressful day for them. Drinks were ordered quickly, Champagne to celebrate and a cocktail each, and food order was placed as well. Everything after that was a blur of celebration and fun, but the food stood out overall. Afterwards, we were treated with Congratulations Class of 2026 chocolates, which was icing on the proverbial cake. Would 10/10 recommend to anyone celebrating whatever event worth celebrating.
Had the absolute pleasure of dining at this restaurant after my husband's masters graduation. With so many students looking to walk in, our happily made in advance reservation was taken immediately at the check-in desk. We were walked over to a beautiful table in the corner of the restaurant by a nice size window and immediately greeted by water service and our servers. The manager or possibly owner of the restaurant came to check on us multiple times and was simply lovely. Each of our three meals were to die for and exactly what we needed after a hot morning of graduation commencement. We were also treated with beautiful homemade chocolates that were customized to match the graduation ceremony and school colors, which was both delicious and very thoughtful. 10 out of 10 recommend, will absolutely be returning in the very near future.
Food was outstandingthe waitstaff, especially Luis was so well trained. We had french onion soup, charcuterie board , wine from France, and mushroom ravioli, desert was creme brûlée and chocolate cake-- happy hour drinks are a great deal, this place buzzes with conversation, good food, great service in a french style. We will be back,!! --ambiance is a Parisian retreat! JUST GO!!
Such a great mela celebrating my roommate's birthday! We split the lemon ricotta pancakes, and then I had salmon eggs Benedict, my one roommate got the crab lobster Benedict, and my other roommate got an omelette. We all loved our meals! The interior is adorable and our server was so sweet. She brought out a candle and had all of the servers sing to her!
Be aware of extreme event markups here. During graduation weekend, they raised a standard $26 item to $36 - nearly a 40% price increase. When I questioned this pricing and mentioned I would include it in a review, management retaliated by immediately refusing me service after I had already ordered. Deceptive pricing and completely unprofessional management.
Wow!!! (Seems like I say that a lot, but..WOW!) Met my aunt and uncle and cousins here for brunch. It was so amazing. That restaurant itself is completely charming, the service was really quick, they are incredibly accommodating to families with little children, and the food was just perfect. I love brunch, this is a whole new level. Wish we lived closer so we could come back sooner, but next time I come to visit I'm bringing my husband and this is a place we're going
Went here for the breakfast special that they have Monday thru Friday. You have 4 choices to Pick from. I chose the last item which was pancakes with banana strawberries and blueberries which was very good. Comes with coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice. Nice atmosphere I feel like I'm in France at a French cafe. The service is good the wait staff is very attentive.
Le Monde has a lovely cozy atmosphere, and was perfect to warm up in during a cold winter's night. Though we didn't order wine, they have an extensive wine selection with a focus on Loire Valley wines. We ordered an Endive salad to start - crunchy, a touch of tartness, and some nice tang from the Roquefort. I ordered the Steak Frites and my partner got the Duo of Duck. The fries were perfectly salty and had a good crisp to them. The steak was also cooked perfectly to medium rare, and it was great to try both of their steak sauces. I capped off the evening with a lovely little decaf espresso. Leshawny was a fantastic server! He made sure we were taken care of, was attentive without being overbearing, and was very kind. He made our experience excellent! We look forward to coming back soon!
FOOD: Banana Nutella Crepe - - The bananas were cut and put into the crepe with chocolate! Was not too sweet Truffle Eggs - - I wish there was more eggs in this dish but I loved the mushrooms and grilled asparagus SERVICE: Very quick service! Waiter was extremely nice and was always filling up our water VIBES: We sat outside as they had a lot of seating both inside and outside the restaurant. We had some sun glaring at us and the workers were really nice in adjusting the umbrellas for us to get some shade. It was vibrant, and many people attending.
I celebrated my birthday at Le Monde Restaurant last night (02/07/2026), and it was an absolutely flawless experience. A huge shoutout to our waiter, Luis, who was the star of the evening. He went above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome, but what touched me most was how he looked after my mother. Since she is a Spanish speaker, Luis was able to communicate with her effortlessly, making her feel completely included and well cared for. Managers Khalid and Hakeem clearly run a tight ship. They were both visible and professional, and they ensured the entire evening flowed perfectly. If you want a place where the staff actually cares about the guests, this is it. Thank you for making my birthday so special!
Came here during the Columbia University graduation and they had a special menu! There were also multiple seating options - cozy indoors, or outside under a roof. It was a drizzly day, but we chose to sit outdoors and people watched. We were quickly greeted by several waiters and were rewarded with a fresh bread basket after mulling over our order. -French Onion Soup: 5/5, was too full to enjoy the whole thing, but the cheese pull was satisfying, and the soup was rich and flavorful. Good to dip fresh bread with :) -Le Pamplemousse: I don't really understand alcoholic beverages but it tasted pretty good, a bit sour- contained absolut grapefruit, aperol, lemon, peychaud bitters and rosemary -Duo of duck: 5/5, duck cooked two ways - the skin was crispy and meat fell off the bone - if you like duck you'll like this dish -Roasted Organic chicken: 4/5: rich and flavorful jus, chicken was a bit dry towards the middle but the sauce helped bring the flavors out -Grilled Tomahawk pork: 5/5, never had a tomahawk pork rack- but glad we ordered it - so juicy, like an actual steak - smoky and rich flavors -Mashed potatoes: 5/5, not pictured, but BUTTERY. will definitely fill you up A good place to go especially if you're celebrating! okie thanks for reading, byee

like eh. pretty normal french cuisine (which ill say doesn't really shock me ever), but it was good and hit the spot for what it was. fries were all pretty soggy and not really crispy, both the sweet potato and regular ones. the le monde burger was really good though, good fat burger, and a really great combo of caramelized onions and gruyere cheese. served with a truffley beurre blanc that was just ok. the moules frites were pretty normal, the mussels were really small but the sauce was good. good service and very attentive. read more

Hello Celeste,…
Came here for happy hour and dinner with a friend, we both had the Pinot Gris (quite tasty), the happy hour flatbread (cheesy and delicious), and then garlic shrimp which came perfectly seared with the tails on. To top it off, we split the mussels and frites in the white wine sauce which was by far my favorite item. The bartender was quite nice and offered us recommendations on both wine and appetizers. The bar area is cozy and there are plenty of seats on a weeknight. read more

Incredible service and food. While yes, the service was slow in terms of getting the food out, good food takes time (and this was no exception)! I attended as part of Restaurant Week NYC for lunch, which was a 30$ pre-fixe menu. It was fantastic! I got the Tomato and Burrata Salad, Sautéed Branzino, and Panna Cotta. All were absolutely incredible, while dining in a Parisian inspired restaurant- it really made me feel fancy and in France! The utensils were switched after every course, which was a nice touch. While I don't care for French food that much, this definitely changed my mind! read more

Went for brunch on this cold day. I ordered the steak and eggs. Either raise the price of the steak or make a better one. I asked for well done and it was medium and had no flavor. My Mocktail was actually very good. The pana cotta was good as well. The service was a little slow, but our waiter was very nice. Tried it once... Next. P.S. please teach your staff proper etiquette. The girl serving us water reached for my cup in front of my face . She should have asked and then reached for the cup.

Food was quite average. I got the crepe that was alright, but the hot chocolate was warm milk with sugar with a whole lot of whipped cream, and no hints of chocolate. Others on the table were equally disappointed with their beverages. The shakshuka wasn't good at all. We got the peach melba crepe and chocolate gateau for dessert, those weren't bad, but nothing great either. Service was quick and they offered to get me a replacement for the hot chocolate after I complained about it being cold. read more

Le Monde was such a treat! We arrived for brunch and it was very busy, but the service was on point and ambience was lively. We ordered the duck hash and was pleasantly surprised to receive a duck leg over the hash! Will definitely be returning again the next time we're in the city. read more
Popped into this place on a Sunday night and sat outside with the nice weather. Service was a bit lack luster with delayed greeting after being sat and drinks took at least 10 minutes to arrive after ordering. They weren't busy at the time, so not sure what was going on. Ordered a mocktail, Salmon and panna cotta for dessert. The food was great and that would be why I'd return. read more

Overall such a cute spot for brunch! I'm surprised it wasn't more crowded... granted we did come on a Thursday close to 11am. We ordered the Challah French Toast, the Breakfast Croissant, and the Peach Melba crepe. They were all really good! Honestly not many complaints. The potatoes were surprisingly flavorful and I loved the combination of toppings they put on the peach crepe! The French toast was also great, but I do wish it had more of the passion fruit topping. Croissant sandwich was solid as well. Overall, I would recommend giving Le Monde a try! I appreciate the complimentary OJ and coffee! read more

Very disappointed with the food that was served. We went for a late lunch and got the mushroom ravioli - which to be honest was the only decent tasting dish. However the portion size was pretty small for the price. I also got the shakshuka and it was terrible. There was no flavor in the tomato base and the eggs were just raw and uncooked. I barely ate it and the bread they served was probably the best part about the dish. For dessert we got the Nutella and banana crepe but it seemed like it only had bananas with a light drizzle of Nutella on the top. It's extremely overpriced and in my opinion not worth the cost. read more

This is a cute French restaurant near Columbia University. It was very busy when we went around 1pm but luckily we were still able to get a table without a reservation. They have a lunch menu where there is a soup of the day and entree that comes with a dessert. Today's special came with a BLT sandwich, soup, and sorbet. I got a salad this time around, which I wasn't that big of a fan of. I would recommend going with something else on their menu! read more
