minosa at the bar
Meg D.

The place was a vibe! Great location, easy to spot and there's a parking structure beside it. Went for a Sunday brunch and we opted for the all you can eat for $49. The plates are tapas style which i appreciated. Food was ok, the mole was too salty, its as if they overpoured salt; everything else was ok. Drinks were not included; i had to wait for my friend before being seated so i ordered a drink. Unfortunately, i couldn't include it in my bill nor could I convert it as a bottomless mimosa. To be fair, the mimosa was good. Service was just ok; we were still seated after paying our bill --- finishing or drinks and no one paid attention to us anymore. The staff just doesn't seem interactive, they're not rude, they're just meh. They were there to do their job.

I'd been eyeing this place for months thanks to Instagram reels, but the food just didn't live up to the hype. The all you can eat & drink deal isn't worth it -- most dishes were overly salty and forgettable. The mole was hard to enjoy, the chips & guac came out stale, the quesadilla and steak encebollado were plain, and the lobster was inconsistent (some bites buttery, others dry). The churros were decent, but not nearly enough to save the meal. The best part of the night was our server, Oleksandryna, who was warm, attentive, and genuinely made the experience better. The ambiance is gorgeous -- dim lighting, romantic vibes, and a trendy downtown LA setting near Pershing Square. Great spot if you're after drinks and atmosphere, but the food is more style than substance.

A few of us visited Le Grand on a Tuesday after work for happy hour. We had a reservation and were seated right away, which was great. When our waiter brought our bottled water, he kindly poured it for us, but I immediately noticed my glass had lip gloss stains all around the rim--still sticky, like it hadn't been washed. I let the waiter know, and he was extremely apologetic, quickly replacing my glass and even comping another bottle of water for the table, which was a nice gesture. For food and drinks, I ordered the Hibiscus Margarita, Cheddar Jalapeño Fries, and Dijon Deviled Eggs. Just a heads-up--their happy hour menu is more of a tapas-style selection. * Hibiscus Margarita - It was tasty but very weak. * Cheddar Jalapeño Fries - This was the most confusing item. There were no jalapeños--just cheddar sauce and a bunch of onions. Not sure where the jalapeño part came in. * Dijon Deviled Eggs - Unfortunately, they lacked flavor and didn't stand out. Between the dirty glass, a plate that still had food stuck to it, fries with missing jalapeños, and underwhelming deviled eggs, I didn't feel like ordering anything else. I really wanted to enjoy my experience, but the food and cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The bright side? Our waiter. He was attentive, apologetic, and worked really hard to make things right. The restaurant itself has a beautiful downtown LA vibe--wood accents, plush booths, and an inviting atmosphere. I just wish the food and overall experience had matched the ambiance. Would I return? Maybe for a drink in a nice setting, but definitely not for happy hour food.

Speechless.... First, I want to mention that the atmosphere was actually quite nice -- it had a trendy vibe that felt promising. And I must say, the best part of my experience was finding $7 flat-rate parking in downtown LA after 4 PM. Unfortunately, that's about where the positives ended. I must say, it was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I've ever had in LA. The service was incredibly slow. It took forever for our server to acknowledge us, let alone take our order. We felt completely ignored. It's baffling to see such a lack of attentiveness, especially in a city known for its vibrant dining scene. When our food finally arrived, I was shocked. The baby back ribs were cold and seemed like it had been sitting out for far too long. The flavors were nonexistent, and the presentation was lackluster at best. I had high hopes for the crispy Brussel sprouts, but it was even worse - overcooked and bland. I have to say that the Cheese and Jalapeño Fries were pretty good - when they actually had cheese! Each time I ordered them, it seemed like the cheese size got smaller and smaller, turning what should have been a delicious side into just a sad plate of fries with hardly any toppings. It was frustrating to see such inconsistency, especially when I was looking forward to that cheesy goodness. The fries came topped with big slices of onions. Nowhere on the menu did it mention that onions were included, and I'm not a fan of them. It was a perplexing surprise that added to my disappointment rather than enhancing the experience. Side Note: The use of cilantro is garnishment was really off putting. But the issues didn't stop there. When I ordered a Rosewater spritz, it came topped with a marshmallow in my cup. It was completely unrelated to the drink I ordered and tasted more like a sweet, fluffy disaster than a sophisticated drink. To make matters even worse, my friend ordered a single cocktail from the limited cocktail menu, but the staff told her they couldn't make it fresh because they only had pre-mixed drinks available. This is understandable to an extent - unlimited cocktails are usually pre-made - but it's surprising that they couldn't accommodate a simple request for a single, made-to-order drink. Maybe it was an off night. but after this experience, my wallet doesn't feel like taking another chance. I really wanted to try their brunch, but after this experience, I think it's better I don't. Until then, I might think twice before going.

Our group did the AYCE tasting expierence. For their price point I would say it is not worth. It has "variety" but it's only like 15 items while at other places you can get so much more for less. Service was good though. Food came out very fast. The vibes were great there. I would probably try their regular menu instead.

Jennifer G.

The food was delicious the drinks were awesome. The place wasn't that crowded but unfortunately we came when there were only two servers or it appeared as though there were only two servers. June 7 2025 around 11AM a party of 15 and a few others inside and my husband and myself. Slow slow slow and like triple slow. And with a time limit on the drinks "unlimited drink experience" I was very sad. And only got to try three drinks and took my husbands drink or I'd only had two. Very sad. Also, our server was so distracted with the party of 15 plus, behind us he overcharged us on our bill. He "fixed" it but those of you who use debit cards it's still a double charge pending....forever for one of the charges to fall off. Service was horrible. And slow.

Little bit of everything.

After a month of living in downtown Los Angeles, my wife and I wanted a simple dinner to celebrate our one year anniversary that wasn't flashy or too expensive, so we walked down to Le Grand and got everything we could of asked for. We came just after 5PM without knowing about the "happy hour" special so were pleasantly surprised to find out it was 50% until 6PM, which made things even better. The menu here is pretty large for what it is, it's basically a tapas restaurant with an American twist. The deal is pretty much five plates for $25 instead of all you can eat for $50, which is a pretty dang good deal if you ask me. Instead of one long paragraph, I'm just gonna talk about what I ate since that's really all that matters, so let's get into it. Buffalo Chicken Wings- Three large, very meaty wings covered in a delicious Buffalo sauce. I really liked these, extra juicy and flavourful. Chicken Parmigiana- Pretty good size Chicken Parmigiana for such a small price, sauce tasted good, chicken had good breading, and the chicken itself was pretty juicy as well. Steak Cut Onion Rings- Lot my preferred style of onion ring, but they were big, flavourful, and the onions were juicy. Solid enough. Mandarin Style Salmon- The waiter recommended this one. Small plate of Sauced Salmon, veggies, and rice. The salmon was solid enough, cooked well, and was pretty good. Meatballs al pomodoro- Two good sized meatballs that we splot. These meatballs had great flavour, loved the sauce, and definitely loved the taste of the meatball. Truffle Arancini- Decent arancini, not a ton to say about it. Small in size, decent enough flavour. Overall, Le Grand gets just as much credit for the fun atmosphere and menu then it does for the actual food. My wife and I had a blast picking five plates each and even more fun eating them. When we finished eating, our server told us to wait and bought us out a bonus desert of Strawberry Cheesecake that my wife thought was pretty good (I don't really like strawberry stuff) and I definitely appreciate the kind gesture and amazing service we received during our visit, we can't wait to come back!

This review is long overdue! Cute restaurant. Great concept. Nice atmosphere. Food: loved the options available bc there was a great variety. Cons: the hot options were either warm or cold. I recognize because they prepare for large crowds you can tell they prepare the food ahead of time so it may have been sitting out for a bit prior to us ordering. The great things about it was we had an early reservation shortly after the restaurant opened. The mocktails were tasty and cute - I was pleasantly surprised! Service was awesome - our waiter was accommodating and patient with us as we decided what we wanted to order first.

I've been here plenty of times but have never tried their tapas happy hour! Parking- they offer valet or parking structure close by. Service- amazing like always and servers always have the best personalities! Food- great the cauliflower steak is one of my favorites. Everything else is really good too. Check out my pics! Drinks- great too and also have a happy hour option. Fantastic price and fantastic food!

If you go in not expecting amazing food, but pleasantly solid chain store like food, you'll have a great time. First, parking is available at the structure right next to the restaurant for about $7. Second, it did take them a while to seat us even though the place wasn't full yet and we had a reservation. Service was friendly, but we sometimes had to wave them down. The food was good, and great at $5 a plate when we did the $25 for 5. We also added on the $9 unlimited cocktails since we were pretty sure we weren't going to have 3 cocktails to make the u limited cocktails worth it. The place is much smaller than we expected, but it's great for groups. We'll definitely be back and try the other location as well. Ooh, just a few notes: the feta and watermelon salad is literally those 2 items with balsamic vinegar. The items are not marinated. The onion rings were great, we loved the avocado toast, and the pastas are surprisingly filling.

Ashley D.

$55 pp for all you can eat on the menu except for their steak options. So much variety to choose from and decently sized portions. Food was good but nothing out of this world, no complaints here.

Kevin T.

I heard about this place from tiktok and I was not disappointed by our experience here! We were able at the bar with no wait and we're still able to get the unlimited tapas. Our bartender was attentive and put on a great show for our drinks. Everything came out relatively quickly but we did receive some plates we did not order.

Went with friends for bunch. Loved the menu style. Food and cocktails were enjoyable. HUGE value. Great big space, so bring your friends, the staff here accommodates parties very well. So TIP YOUR SERVER when you come here, they kick ass! I don't think anyone has survived in that retail space as long as Le Grand has, so they're doing something right!

Have they changed back to their old menu? My friend and I went about 2 months ago and discovered a whole different menu that focused on like upscale Mexican cuisine.

No, they still have the Mexican menu and it's disgusting. Not upscale in the least.

Does everyone have to partake in the experience? like if i'm coming with my family which would include minors?

When i went there the Unlimited food and unlimited drinks charges are separate so you can opt out for the drinks for certain people im sure esp if they are minor. But the unli food i believe should be for everyone but dont quote me on that.

If i have a party of 4 and me and someone else get the 49.99 unlimited can we order for the other people to cut down on costs?

No. The entire table must partake in the “experience” in order to get the experience.

Is there a dress code?

No, girl. Girls were in there in gym shorts and guys in basketball jerseys.

Do they have valet services? How is parking on a Saturday night? How far is the nearest parking?

There is a public parking adjacent to the building on Grand Avenue and multiple other options within walking distance. Valet service is across the street from the restaurant.

Do you need reservations?

They welcome walk ins, reservation would be a preference.

Is the all you can eat brunch as self service buffet or do they serve it to you?

It’s a full service experience

Can I use my inKind app rewards for the unlimited brunch?

Hi. It’s redeemable Sunday to Thursday

Hello quick question , I've been going to le grand for about 2 years , i use to get this pasta that I don't see on the menu anymore , the "le grand rigatoni" I wanted to know if id still maybe be able to place an order for it for pickup?

I recommend calling the restaurant. Unfortunately, I don't go there often.

Do you have to get the unlimited food experience to get the unlimited cocktail experience?

To enjoy unlimited cocktail experience at least 3 food items should be purchased or “any 5 for $25”deal

Are children allowed at this restaurant?

All ages are welcome 🙏 Children under 7 eat for free, 8-12 half price from the unlimited

Are there different mimosa flavors with the unlimited?

It was only one flavor the night I went. But the place is worth it

Is this a nice place to take someone who likes to eat for their birthday?

Very much so!!! Especially with the all you can eat menu! They can eat a whole assortment of items.

My rsvp deposit wasn't applied to my bill. How can this be fixed?

It won't be credited to your final bill, it will be refunded to your card once you check in for reservation. Most places take up to 5 days to see refund. If you don't I would call restaurant.

Have a 2:30 reservation Saturday does this mean we only have 30mins to dine in? First time here

We had a 12:30 reservation and got seated at 1:15....

Is the $27 cocktail experience a la carte? or do we need to order the tasting experience as well? if yes, do all guests need to buy the cocktail experience even if they dont drink?

Hello 👋 Thanks for reaching out! If you’d like to experience our unlimited cocktails for $27, we’d ask for 2 food items to be purchased together with the cocktail experience or Unlimited Dining Experience for $49.99

Are the times online the only available times for reservations and does everyone have to get the all you can eat or only those who want to?

Reservations are available on Open Table, times are shown. As far as the all you can eat, if 1 person at the table orders it, everyone else has to as well.

Am I only limited to the brunch menu if I show up at 1:30?

Hello, our Unlimited Dinner Mwnu starts at 4pm on Sunday and Saturday

Hello! What's the brunch schedule on a Sunday?

Hello, brunch starts at 11am till 4pm 😊

Can you do the unlimited cocktail experience even during happy hour?

It’s during every day anytime

After being seated 40 minutes later, service took 20 minutes to take our order, and another 30 minutes to be served. Food was 'okay', there was no entertainment, and multiple customers were unhappy with similar slow service... but some of them were comped parts of their meals.. we didn't even get a sorry until we spoke to the manager on our way out, expressing the reason was they had no idea it would be this busy on a Thursday (they take reservations, so...), and also blamed an 'all you can eat promotion' they promoted earlier, and they only had two serves on staff that night. 4) We were late to Mr. Wanderlust, but were luck to get two seats at the bar after another couple left. We order two cocktails and a coffee... and were charged just over $140. Then, we were asked to move because they wanted to take our seats. We asked about the bill to the bartendar, and she expressed that since she didn't take our original order, she couldn't help us. She simply just had us stand there. We were not going to pay since it seemed way off... until finally we spoke to a guy walking by. We showed him our ticket/receipt and said out loud, "this isn't right". He came back quickly with a revised bill of almost $120. This was still far too high, but no one else seemed interested in helping us find resolve, so we ate it since we didn't want to be late for part 3 of the night. 5) Hoping to salvage the night with drinks and dancing... we tried to find the entrance to Sinners and Santos for their advertised Latin night. We had made reservations here too, and had full confirmation of the reservation... BUT, after finally being directed to the entrance (outside on the patio), they were closed. No sign of why and no one who worked at the other locations had a reason, but they were just simply closed. 6) So, after paying $35 for parking, about $140 in cocktails and food while waiting for our initial reservation at Golden Hour and Que Barbaro, $150+ for dinner at Lucky Mizu, and $120 at Mr. Wanderlust... approximately $500 total... we didn't even get to dance. Maybe this place had a bad night, but based on what the workers said, and how they treated us... it sure seems like the norm. Don't get me wrong, the place is cool... some really great experiential elements and nice photo ops... but I would have had a much better time somewhere else. Super disappointed in this place.

NOVEMBER 26.2025…read more I've been through many iterations of The Library Bar over the years... from small and cozy secret bar for those that work in the looming skyscrapers of Downtown LA to being some noisy urban hip hop affair that served godawful drinks (see my past review!), and on back to being a calm and casual neighborhood bar again. The interior never changes... dark... illuminated by candlelight... the bust of Shakespeare over the fireplace, the shelves of old books-- all of it remains intact. But this latest Library Bar seems to have finally dialed in what was always sorely missing in that it showcases a conscientious staff that all seem to know how to mix drinks while treating the customer well by leaving them be. On one night my date and I share a "Black Manhattan," basically a Manhattan with the generous addition of Averna, and it's terrific. On another night, I go for Happy Hour and a few pints of Guinness on draft that are surprisingly proper and go well with their excellent and, I'm told, homemade Hummus & Veggies Plate. The music at this current Library Bar is pretty much on point and is never so loud as to interfere with the conversations that patrons seem to come here for... something you should come here for too, and maybe at Happy Hour specifically if you're looking for a nice bump in your day and to spend an hour, well, happily.

They are no longer affiliated with the Proper, but many of their dishes/contributions remain. The last named vestige of them is on the tea menu, "Suzanne's Deviled-Egg Sandwich". The tea menu has several options: Classic, with a seasonal mocktail, or with different champagnes. I opted for the Classic experience, because the mocktail had mocha, not my fave. Server Lluvia was clearly a Dahlia veteran; she offered a tea-smelling of all the teas that interested me as well as crowd favourites. I ultimately chose one of these faves, Mad Hatter's Tea Party, which had passionfruit and vanilla. I declined milk/cream, but did get lemon. There were rock sugar sticks on the table. It seems the selection of tea sandwiches and sweet treats changes every so often, although the vanilla bean scone, dried currant scone, Devonshire cream and apricot orange jam seem like constants. The sandwich selection at my visit were: cucumber, crab/creme fraiche, beet hummus on pita, smoked salmon and Suzanne's deviled egg. All were delish, the beet, crab and deviled egg especially. The sweet treats were: orange fig butter cookie, spiced apple brown butter crumble, cranberry frangipane hand pie, chocolate mocha macaron, pumpkin madeleine, plus the 2 scones. All were excellent. There were no leftovers. A bit pricey, but a relaxing and lovely experience. The room was not crowded when I visited, adding to the calmness of my visit.

Sleek cocktail bar located smack dab in the center of the high foot traffic area of Little Tokyo…read more A great selection of whiskey and a solid cocktail menu with good happy hour specials. It's not surprising given the neighborhood and decor, but I think they lean towards more Japanese spirits and beers. For someone like me who's never been to Japan I feel like there's a traditional Japanese theme going on inside with lots of wood. A few friends and I came here on a holiday before dinner. Happy hour specials were still going on. I'm not sure if they thought they were gonna get that much business on a holiday but I think there's only maybe one or two people behind the bar. Since it was early when we got there, it was still not that crowded. I got the special which was a shot of Japanese whisky and a beer. Great price! Haha. I've walked by before where this place is really crowded so I assume there's a lot more people working behind the bar during the regular busy hours. Just a great place to grab drink drinks.

No exceptions, as I witnessed a family who really wanted to come in but had an 18 yr old so they weren't allowed in and because they had a minor with them they couldn't even sit outside in their seating area. Always good to know. Inside the bar got super busy. The inside was a bit dark but again it is a bar. I like the decor and the bar seating was packed. The drinks were good if you like whiskey they have it along with lists of beer options. Nice spot to try out.

My girlfriend and I ordered two Old Fashioneds made with Ilegal Mezcal. The bottle being used was nearly empty, and as professionals in the hospitality industry, we are very familiar with proper pour standards. It was clear there wasn't enough product left for two consistent drinks. The bartender, Bryan, prepared both cocktails without using a jigger. When I politely asked why one drink appeared noticeably lighter than the other and why he wasn't measuring the pour, he smirked, gave a slight laugh, and responded that he "knows the exact measurement of his glasses." The tone and gesture felt dismissive and mocking rather than professional. Instead of addressing a reasonable concern with transparency, the response came across as defensive and condescending. To make matters worse, a 20% gratuity was automatically added, bringing the total to $71.12 for two inconsistent Old Fashioneds. Precision, consistency, and respect are basic standards in this industry. Unfortunately, this experience did not reflect that. We won't be returning.

As for the drinks, I had their Long Island, carrot margarita, and paloma. All three were excellent and tasted wonderful, but the carrot margarita was my favorite. A group of my friends and I have come here three different times, really wanting to like this place because the atmosphere is beautiful and lively. Unfortunately, each visit has been consistently disappointing due to the same bartender--a shorter male with visible tattoos and facial hair, who seems to regularly work one side of the bar. On all three occasions, we experienced being ignored while trying to order, even as other guests who arrived after us were served first. The first time, we were eventually told "you guys can wait" in a rude tone of voice while he continued taking other orders. The second time, we were never helped at all and had to move to another part of the bar, where a female bartender provided much better service. The third visit was the most concerning. When we tried to get his attention, he responded in a dismissive and rude tone, and as he walked away, we overheard him make an inappropriate comment about us under his breath calling us out of our name and we felt very disrespected so much so that we just left. We completely understand that weekends can get busy, but consistently dismissive and disrespectful service--especially across multiple visits--is not acceptable and we've also seen him be rude to other guests as well. Aside from this issue, the venue itself is great, which is why we gave it multiple chances. I really hope management can address this, as it impacts the overall appearance and experience of the establishment. Thank you.

We adjourned from the bar to the patio to smoke our mini-stogies and sipped our rum. We came early when there were very few members so it was the perfect place to talk and mellow out. Those who want a more animated crowd probably should come much later when lively dance music begins, and booties start to swing. Caña Rum Bar: 4 stars
