Fresh coffee, fresh doughnuts, fresh kolaches, and awesome customer service...you can't beat it. This is one of my go to doughnut shops and I think I may go too often, because they know my standard order. "No old-fashioned doughnut today?" That made me laugh. read more

Found myself at Le Donut early this morning because Shipley's was still closed and I do not regret it. The donuts were fluffy and they had a wide variety to choose from. My bf got the famous cronut, it was so flaky and fresh. Their donut holes were amazing too. I like the quality of the donuts better here but they are a little smaller than Shipleys. The two ladies that work here are the sweetest. Even at 5:30 AM they greeted us with smiles. read more

Delicious! I love their red velvet donut but they're all amazing!! Better than Shipley's in my opinion.

All I can say is get the bear claw it will change your life!!!! Unfortunately for my waist line this spot is way too close to my house. Must practice self control!!!! read more

Just polished off an old-fashioned glaze as I type....holy cow. And the kicker- this donut was two days old! I have no shame- two-day old donuts, no problem! Hey, they were sitting in a box. I think the delicious icing preserved it in its delectable entirety. Two days ago, bought a half-dozen donuts with kolaches, breakfast tacos- the office was very happy. Shipley's be afraid. Your donuts are sub-par. Get thee to Le Donut ASAP. read more

The French donut, I forget what it's called, is amazing! And their kolaches have a huge sausage in them. I would totally go back again

Charged 116.31 I stead of 16.31, was not given a proof of refund receipt or any evidence that we were actually refunded, and then on top of that we were charged another 16.31, forced to wait 40 minutes then rushed out the door with cold donuts and a lack of apology. I will NEVER COME TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN. BEWARE! read more

I have been wanting to try this place for a while. And seen they had cronuts. So one friday I stopped in to pick some up for the Office on my way to work. They were amazing. I also got some plan glazed one, Oreo, and maple glazed with bacon. Must say I will def. be going back! read more

OMG Just tried a Cronut for the first time and I must say it's amazing!!!!!!! Also their kolaches are yum yum

This place is awesome! They have the entire gambit of your typical donut selection as well as kolaches and the like. The staff is super friendly and always throw in extra donut holes for free. Parking is pretty easy and it's great if you live/work in the med center area. I think these donuts are even better than Shipley's and Krispy Kreme's. Prices are very reasonable. Really recommend this place. read more

Stopped by this little shop when in Houston visiting family. Saw the reviews, so grabbed a few to take to them. Amazing donuts and everyone loved the Kolaches as well!!! Fast, friendly, clean and delicious....everything you could ask for! read more

They have regular and cake donuts. Their red velvet was yummy. But the star for me are their apple Fritters! It's just the way I like - crunchy, covered in glaze and not too much Apple filling. Other reviews say they're burnt. But I think they're perfect. Other places make them with too much dough or way too much filling. It's my weekly treat! read more

Honestly awesome kolaches. The bread is delicious and soft. I'm no longer bummed about not being closer to a Kolache Factory.

Super nice owners, super yummy and fresh donuts and kolaches. You can't go wrong with the place!

Great service and the donuts are better than any Krispy Kreme or Shipleys. The ladies are very friendly and seem to appreciate every customer who comes there. read more

OMG! If you want the best donut's this is the place to go. My favorite is the chocolate filled donut, the long john chocolate filled bar, and cronut. They have the most stomach filling boudin kolache you have ever eaten and it's spicy. The chicken mushroom croissant is a meal that fill you up for the rest of the day. I would highly recommend this place. read more

Great service and tasty donuts! I went in after the morning rush so I cannot comment on the line. Try it out!

I'm very fond of this donut shop, why? Because they carry a nice variety of non glazed donuts that have strawberry/vanilla/chocolate etc..etc... Whatever Cream on top. They also carry the cronut! (It could use some work to get that croissant flakiness. regardless, it's still delicious). A nice selection of kolaches, I love how the heat from the jalapeño and cheese kolaches come from the sausage itself. The only down side is that the selection tends to be limited around 10am. I came here around 6am and the place was busy. So come early if you want a nice selection! read more

Breakfast sandwiches are heavenly, and the owners are super nice and occassionally throw in a free blueberry donut! I've had their croissant and biscuit sandwiches, the biscuit is almost like a bun and is super fluffy, not too heavy. We always get boudain kolaches (which are some of the best in the city) and the cronuts (croissant donuts) are a must if you're not counting calories... actually just don't come here if your counting calories! read more

Fresh and delicious! Better than Shipley's doughnut and Kolache factory put together. I wish they had more locations so I could get it on the weekends and not just on my way to work. read more

Thank goodness some place is serving up bacon/egg/cheese biscuits. Sometimes I just want that for lunch, and this was one of those days. Their bread isn't what I think of as a biscuit, but it really doesn't matter-- it was soft and delicious. Generous amount of bacon, too. I also tried a few donut holes, which were great! The space is very clean, and the woman working behind the counter was super sweet. I'm sure this will be a frequent stop for me on my way into the new gig. read more

I usually never crave donuts but when it comes to Le Donut I can't help myself. The glazed donuts, donut holes, kolaches, and croissants are the best! Try the jalapeno sausage kolache, egg sausage croissant, and glazed donuts. You can get a dozen donut holes for a buck! Family owned and very friendly staff. read more

I finally got to try the famous Cronut! It really did meet my expectations. It really does taste like a croissant with glaze. The rest of the place has the typical donut varieties like other donut shops. Their coffee is actually pretty good as well. read more

This has become one of my favorite donut spots in Houston. It's quick, cheap, and convenient. The maple glazed, blueberry cake, and plain glazed are my favorite from here and are always fresh and soft. The people behind the counter have always been friendly, and I'm always excited to visit. read more

Wow. First time experience on a weekday was not good. They were out of everything. Went on Sunday morning and they had a great selection of donuts and breakfast sandwiches. I underestimated this place. So good and better than Shipley's, plus the pricing is good. read more

I'm so sad that I'm just now finding out about this place after living down the road for the past two years. We got a ham and cheese croissant, jalapeño/sausage/cheese kolaches, and an old fashion chocolate donut. Everything was really fresh and high quality, and only $8.50! The owner was so nice and fun to talk to, as well. I will definitely be back! (Probably tomorrow haha) read more

I am generally skeptical of donut shops. Living in Houston Shipleys is the go to place here and I don't particularly care for them I am a Krispy Kreme kinda girl. This place is the closest thing in my opinion to Krispy Kreme that I have encountered. Donuts are fresh and they keep plenty of hot donuts and the kolaches aren't bad either they aren't like Kolache Factory but the bread is fresh. Service is very accommodating and friendly they take care of everyone right away. I give them four stars because the beverages are overpriced. read more

I went for the boudin kolache, subpar at it's best. I expected homemade rice, the rice was store bought and stuffed in bread. :-(. The red velvet donut wasn't bad. read more

It's a corner store near lots of traffic but there is always an available parking spot. I love coming here on the way to school. The donuts are super soft and my favorite is the simple glazed donut. read more

I love the variety that this place offers! Not everyone wants a sugary donut early in the morning. When I do want a donut, I prefer them here. They are just right. The blueberry cake donut is perfect. My favorite item is the boudin kolache. There is so much to choose from. You can even choose between a small and large size kolache. The croissants and breakfast tacos are good too. There may even be choices for vegetarians if I remember correctly. I have found the staff to be very friendly. read more

Red velvet: (4/5) unique, spot on for flavor--tasted just like red velvet Glazed: (6/5) amazing. Might I say, even better than shipleys?? If you're a Krispy creme gal, then these aren't for you. Doughy, soft texture The lady who works in the front is extremely friendly. Great service! read more

Based upon the great reviews in yelp! I chose this restaurant for breakfast. I couldn't decide with all of the options available so I ordered a lot and ate half of each. Out of 5 stars here is my review of each 5 stars: Cronut (delicious) Red velvet donut with glaze (decadent) Boudin kolache (savory) 4 stars: Sausage, egg & cheese croissant Sausage, jalapeño & cheese kolache 3 stars: Chorizo breakfast taco (this isn't a taqueria) Overall if I lived in this area this would be my go to spot, but I wouldn't make a special trip across town. read more

What an upgrade to your typical Dunkin Donuts and/or Krispy Kreme (I haven't had Shipley's, FYI). Not only for the flavor, but for the price! I bought a plethora of donuts + donut holes and couldn't believe how much bang you get for your buck! The staff was very friendly and patient, despite me hovering over the counter as I (somewhat slowly) tried to decide what 10 single donuts to pick. I only tried the glaze and red velvet, but man, that's all I needed to try. Amazing! Highly recommend! read more

This place has the best "Kolaches" (pig in a blanket) in Houston. Hands down!! I enjoy coming here in a Sunday right before church. You must try read more

My favorite donut shop in the Med Center area. Every food item I have tried is delicious! Staff is always kind. I recommend anyone to try the red velvet donut :-) read more

Not quite Dawn Donut, but it'll do. Fresh, tasty donuts. Don't even try to compare it to the dried up, tasteless slop know as Shipley's donuts. read more

Best donut shop in all of Houston! Always cooked fluffy and never too sweet. I usually get a dozen to share with folks at work. From time to time they'll hook it up with some extra on the side because of the repeat business. You gotta love the mom and pop shops! read more

The cronut is absolutely amazing. Probably the best donut I've ever had. It's moist, flaky, and just the right amount of sugar. Make sure to ask to have it heated. Delicious! read more

1st time visiting here... It is a cute little donut shop. Walked in immediately greeted. Wasn't ready sweet lady at the counter said it's ok take your time. Asked about the cronut she guided me to them. Asked how many I said 2 and a sausage egg and cheese croissant. Lady gave me an extra chocolate donut just for trying the amazing cronuts!!!! Total for 3 donuts and a huge sausage egg and cheese cronut $7.47 great deal if you ask me... And it was all Amazing!!! I will be back!!! read more

My wife and I have tried close to every donut place in Houston and Le Donut is by far the best we have found! They have very good croissant sandwiches and Kolaches. My wife love the regular glazed and the blue berry cake donuts are the best I have ever had. The staff is awesome too and is incredibly friendly read more
