A must donut stop in the city of Houston! If you are looking authentic donuts that are freshly made each day this is the spot. Shipley Donuts are good, but nowhere near the quality or taste that these donuts made the cake are to die for. read more

Man this place is awesome! Their donut holes are delicious. Warm and well priced too! They have kolaches that are yummy too. They have croissant sandwiches and biscuit sandwiches too. Better than shipley's! Give it a go!! read more

Came in one morning because I was craving a kolache and donut. The line was all the way around the shop but it moved pretty quickly. They have a great selection of donuts and the staff was very kind and pleasant and helped me with my additional selections. The kolache was ok, but it messed up stomach all morning :/ read more

Le Donut has become my go-to place for morning cheat meals. The service is quick and polite. I've always been able to get in and out in 5 minutes or less, and the servers are always willing to remove the cheese from croissant sandwiches for me without making me feel guilty for making a "special" order. Sometimes they do get backed up in the morning with all the people coming in before work, but the line moves swiftly. First - Those cronuts. Delicious. Too indulgent to buy often, but the few I've had have been a pleasure to eat. Second - Their kolaches are better than Shipley's. And they offer different sizes in case you want the kolache to be the entree for your breakfast or just a snack. Third - Their wide selection of sweet and savory offerings allows me to switch things up when I want. Everything tastes fresh and homemade. Le Donut does not pretend to be a fancy place, which is refreshing in a world of shops that over-promise and under-deliver. They have standard milk/juice/coffee offerings to accompany their food. I strongly recommend this shop to anyone who wants an alternative to routine stops to McDonald's or other chains for quick breakfasts before work. read more

We go here all the time for quick & yummy kolaches & donuts. I love that I'm always in & out really fast. The employees are always so nice!

I'm here pretty often. I usually get a jumbo cheese filled sausage kolache with jalapeños and a classic glazed donut. The donut has just the right amount of glaze that I prefer. The ladies are really nice here. It's a good place for a regular breakfast. Doesn't have much that makes it stand out as a donut shop which is why I'm going with 3 stars read more

The boudoin kolaches were the best I ever had, and the donuts were fresh and soft!! The service was good also despite being busy, and I they had a personal touch with their regular customers that made want to go back read more

The doughnuts here are actually very good, I am basing my review off of the glazed doughnuts I've has the jalapeno and sausage kolaches they are very good as well. This is a family owned establishment , the employees here are very nice and move very quickly. It's the perfect place when you're in the mood for some tasty doughnuts. read more

I haven't ate the donuts yet but they look delicious and were reasonably priced. Service was fast and friendly. I had a jalapeño kolache and it was to die for. It was so much better than I was expecting! Also for perspective, I'm staying at Houston Methodist hospital and from out of state. I get lost everywhere and often don't go out because of this. I found this place easy and made it back safely. So for out of towners in the hospital this is the place for you lol read more

I absolutely love stopping by here before or after getting off at the hospital. They have the best kolaches and donuts! The staff is very sweet and welcoming, and the prices are very inexpensive! read more

Great kolaches, donuts and great service. Try the red velvet cream cheese donut. The boudain and the jalapeño kolaches were really good as well. read more

I wish the donuts were as good as the service. We walked in and the lady behind the counter was very helpful and full of smiles. I got the chocolate yeast and my wife got the chocolate cake donut. Both were forgettable and how about covering the entire donut with frosting. Awfully thin. There must be a better donut spot in H town. read more

Oh. My. Heavens. These are the best donuts I've ever had. The glazed donuts are so soft and the perfect amount of glaze. I swear they must put crack on them. The red velvet donuts are also incredible. Aside from the donuts, the staff are all so nice! They even give away free donuts with your order when you go later in the day. Who can turn down a free donut? They put Shipleys to shame. read more

Great customer service!! Even coming 15 min before closing they were so patient with me and recommending which to get! I loved it the ladies and the chef were so nice! And the kolaches and donut tasted great! read more

I stopped here to get some donuts after my VA appointment and she informed me that my debit card is no good here and she was rude to me they only wanted me to pay with cash read more

This place is great, the donuts are better than most local alternatives and the kolache are some of my favorites in Texas. The friendly people here are always quick and happy to chat. read more

Best donut/kolaches In the medical center area. I love that they have such a variety and great selections to choose from. And the coffee is great too! I stop in several times a week! read more

Boudin kolaches, kronuts and red velvet donuts are key purchases. Shipleys he's me beat on the regular glazed but this place does everything else better! And it's super cheap read more

I went around 11:30AM. There was no crowd, which was a thumbs up. The donuts had obviously been made at like 2AM. The cashier was a nice lady who gave me a free donut, I'm sure it was because they would be closing soon and no need to let so many donuts go to waste. The donuts were okay, enough to please my donut craving. The basic glazed was 89¢ plus tax, which is a bit high. Doesn't hurt to try for the first time and come to your own conclusion, it's just a regular donut shop! read more

Love this place. They have really good donuts. They have better donuts than Shipley's. You can eat these cold and the glazing doesn't fall off like the Shipley's donuts. Ladies are really nice. When i take my son they give him free donut holes. I also like the egg, bacon and cheese croissant. read more

I Le Donut! I choose this place vs. popular donut restaurants. Always fresh food and friendly faces.

Only patrons inside this place. Got some coffees, waters and a kolache so My husband and I can sit and fill in some paperwork. Not only did the woman here make us feel like trespassers, and swept all under the table we occupied but they limited the number of times we could use the restroom after drinking 4 bottles of water. We both took turns using it before we sat, afterwards they locked it and told us someone was in there.. there wasn't anyone else besides us. On our way out, my husband went to use it before we hit the road, we were told, "the bathroom is clean and unavailable" Seriously?!? To the only customers inside the place ?!? read more

Since moving back in 2007, I've been searching for a GOOD donut place. I'm picky and love my donuts. When we moved to the med center, we decided to try Le Donut. Now my boyfriend and I go almost every Saturday and I bring them to work at least once a month. The folks here are really friendly and their donuts are AMAZING. Anyone who needs a legit cake donut (with sprinkles, natch), this is your place. Sorry, Shipley's / Dunkin / everyone else, this is the place. I wish I could give more than 5 stars, not kidding. read more

This place is awesome. They have great donuts. They were warm and fluffy unlike the failed resurrection of the once legendary Krispy Kreme on Westheimer and Fondren. They also weren't skimpy. The employees were very nice and gave me a nice selection of their donuts when I told them to just give me a dozen of whatever. I am rating Le Donut on a family owned business basis, but it is still comparable to a big chain like Shipleys. Oh and in comparison to Dunkin Donuts? Well Dunkin Donuts is complete ass. read more

Tried a few things from Le Donut recently for first time and have to say I was impressed. Bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit and chocolate glazed donuts were good but the boudin kolaches were delicious! I even got a few donut holes and a French type of donut thrown in with order so that was a pleasant bonus . Service was pretty speedy and I enjoyed the quality of service as well. All in all I was very satisfied and could definitely see myself going back soon. read more

Yum. Donuts are my guilty pleasure. I came here this morning because I was in the area. I stopped by because it had been a long time since I had donuts or kolaches. I bought one sour cream glazed donut, a cake donut, and one maple glazed along with two sausage kolaches. You have no idea how excited I was when I saw that they had maple- the last time I had a maple donut was in Austin at Ken's donuts. I was long over due. Anyway, the total came out to b e $4. She warmed up the kolaches for me. Maybe because I've been depriving myself of their greatness, but they were sooo good. I inhaled that sucker. I could've eaten the other one, but I figured it'd be nicer to my figure if I didn't. The dough was soft and chewy in a good way. It was almost like it melted in my mouth. The sausage was juicy and flavorful. On to the donuts. I loved the maple. I also loved the cake donut because it was nice and soft and not too sweet. The sour cream I thought was overly sweet. If I'm in the area again I'll be sure to stop in for more maple and cake donuts and a few kolaches! read more

Unbelievable kolaches. Sweet bread to die for. Favorite is sausage jalepeno. Donuts are always fresh and pretty good, not great.

amazing friendly staff. delicious kolaches and donuts. clean environment & good pricing. & did i mention awesome donuts??

Good donuts, good kolaches, good breakfast tacos. Tried the cronut for the first time and it was pretty cool! My boyfriend and I went pretty late (around 11:30am), so the donuts were pretty cold, but that's on us. Simple coffee station where you serve yourself. Cute mom and pop shop. Overall pleasant and unassuming experience! read more

I just had two of the best cake donuts that I've ever had before. I wish I have got here earlier before they were almost sold out of everything but I would definitely come back here. read more

Going to this place for 2 years now. For my taste, much better and fresher donuts than Shipley's and any other place I've been to in Houston so far. read more

Excellent donuts, been coming here for years. Shipley's is right down the street, but we never go there anymore - Le Donut is better in every way! Donuts have better texture, not mushy, not too sweet, and better flavor. Our favorites are the apple fritters and the chocolate long johns. Not a fan of the savory items, but the donuts are just the best! read more

I live by the medival center and this was my first time here. There donuts are so amazing good. Soft, fluffy, and big for a reasonable price. They are so much better then Shipley donut. My new favorite spot for donuts. read more

This place makes the best cake donuts in town. The red velvet and pumpkin spice are my favorite, and every time I go, they throw in a new flavor for free so that I can try it. Can't beat good food AND good service. read more

As a donut shop this one is really good. The donuts don't taste like they were made from some prepackaged mix. I also had a breakfast taco and was disappointed. The lady pulled out a pre made taco and threw it in the microwave. Bottom line- it's a donut shop. If you go, eat donuts. read more

I love this place! Everything is so good and fresh! The prices are good and cheaper than Shipley's. As a matter of fact when eat a donut from Le Donut you will never want to go back to Shipley's. They have a great menu, they have a lot more to choose from than Shipley's. The employees (the lady and the guy) that are always there are very polite and friendly. I just hate that they don't stay open a little longer. Their kolaches are great, every bite you get the sausage. Instead of at the end all you get is dough. Give them a try! read more

Love this place!!! Their cronuts (donut + croissant) is amazing! Also, their red velvet donut is a close second. I use to tell myself I would never go to another donut shop besides Shipleys...but this place made me change my mind. It's great!! read more
