LE DONUT IS BY FAR THE BEST DONUT PLACE IN HOUSTON AND THE BEST DONUT PLACE EVER!!! Let me start by saying I personally may eat donuts once a year. Well LeDonut is just so good, we went Saturday and were back today, 3 days later. They have a CRONUT, it is a croissant and donut hybrid. Talk about AMAZING! Oh and the apple fritter is exceedingly better then any other apple fritter I have ever tried. Crispy, yummy and flavorful and soft in the inside. Dip it in your coffee and next thing you know, the fritter has vanished. It is huge, and at first glance you may think, you can not eat it all, but unfortunately for the waistline-you just may. Their donut selection is not huge, like others, but just right. What surpasses other establishments is they have 1. Croissant breakfast sandwiches with eggs and cheese with bacon, ham or sausage-AND THEY ARE MIND BLOWING!!! 2. Kolaches. 3. Breakfast Pockets, with a meat and cheese. 4.Breakfast tacos with CHORIZO-FABULOUS, hubby loved it! AND.... Drum Roll Please. 5. Pigs in a Blanket. The women that work their are friendly, attentive, sweet and served with a smile. There are some small tables to eat inside a and drink selection. read more

Le Donut - Donuts Near Me - Houston, Texas

This is my favorite donut shop in the entire Houston area. Everything is made fresh everyday, and it's delicious! I've personally tried some kolaches and almost all donuts. Their specialty "cronut" is good, it's basically a croissant donut. VERY GOOD. They blow Shipley's out of the water in every aspect, unless you are a person who is a drive-thru person. Not only is the actual food great (I have to limit myself 1-2 times a month, or I'd come everyday!) the staff is great and super friendly. During Hurricane Harvey they were only accepting cash & I didn't have any on me so they let me come back and pay later. Really sweet and trustworthy people in my opinion. I am always glad to see them & they seem glad to see me again. I think the prices are appropriate regarding the high quality donuts they serve. I prefer Le Donut over any gourmet donut shop in town. And it's on my way to U of H. Thanks Le Donut, ya'll are awesome! read more

The cronut, apple fritter and red velvet are amazing!!! Melt in your mouth. I don't really have a sweet tooth but I crave these donuts now!!! read more

Le Donut - Cronut! The FAMOUS Croissant Donut!! - Donuts Near Me - Houston, Texas

I enjoy coming to these local donut places over the classic franchise owned shops because of their selection and made by hand recipes. I stopped to get a dozen donut holes, jumbo jalapeno kolache, and a small jalapeno kolache. The dough of their kolache has a nice texture and made properly. The donut holes was magnificent; the consistency of the dough was fried evenly and not oily. If your in the area and want a nice family owned donut le donut is the way to go. Happy eating friends! read more

This is one of the best donut places in Houston. The staff are really nice, and the food is delicious. Their kolache and croissants are way better than chain donut shops. Give them a try if you are in the area! read more

Delicious egg and cheese croissants. The owner gave my kiddos donut holes and made their day! Friendly service and yummy cronuts.

Delicious donuts & always great service. The shop owners and employees are always so nice. I used to live in Houston & missed this place. Made sure to go to le donut when I was in town for a visit. Definitely a must! read more

I pass this place all the time on my morning commute and have been wanting to try it for a while. I finally stopped by and got one of their Red Velvet Cake donuts and my mom tried their Sausage and Cheese kolaches. The employees were very nice. The donut was dense and sweet and really good overall. My mom liked their kolaches as well and said they were much better than those from a chain place (like Shipley's). I'll be stopping by again to try one of their croissant sandwiches! read more

Awesome Donut Place! Very Nice & Friendly employees! Great stuff! Got the Last 2 Cronuts of the Morning!

BEST donuts. French Crullers are amazing as are the sour cream Old Fashion donuts. Glazed better than Shipley's. Fast, friendly service. Clean shop. Yummmm. And I'm not even a real fan of donuts. The kolaches far exceed The competition. read more

Reasonable prices and very quick with orders. Plus, their boxes are super cute. The ladies that run Le Donut are always very friendly.

I don't normally write reviews but I just came here and had to!! The cashier (I unfortunately didn't catch her name, but she looks about 20s or late teens) was so friendly and accommodating that I actually want to go back and be her friend!!! My spontaneous trip to le donut actually brightened my day!! read more

I went there to o my get one kolachi and only had my debit card at the moment. They denied my service bc they would get hot with a credit card fee bc i did not spend more than $5.00. That is pretty pitiful to do that to a long time customer. I have been going to them for2 years. My entire department goes there. I am going to inform the department what happened this morning. I can guarantee they will spread the news and Le Donut will be losing customers. Clearly your not here for your community like most businesses is, your here for the money. read more

The ladies are always so courteous and service is quick no matter how crowded it is! Donuts are fresh and the kolaches and sandwiches are great. Definitely a top notch breakfast spot. read more

Excellent! Great quality and great service. They were especially sweet to our kids! The kolaches are really well made and it's evident that they put a lot of time and effort into their food. read more

Normally I love coming her before work to pick up donuts for myself and my coworkers. Today, however, the donuts I bought were kind of stale and did not taste fresh. This is really unusual, as they are normally fresh and tasty! Will come again but hopefully they are fresh next time. read more

This place has the best donuts ever!! I have tried the kolaches, plain donuts, frosted and sprinkled donuts, cronuts, cinnamon rolls and sausage egg croissant. Every thing that I've gotten from here has tasted fresh no matter if I got it at 7, 8, 9, 10 or 11 am. They do close at 1 pm everyday. They are located at the corner of Almeda and Old Spanish. You do have to have a minimum of $4 to use your card. The ladies who work behind the counter are super great too!! read more

I came here around 8am and ordered the red velvet donut and a cronut. The red velvet tasted decent-good and the cronut tasted great! I wish it was warm and hot since I came in the morning hours. Whenever I go to Shipley's around the same time, the donuts are always warm. Even though the cronut and red red velvet wasn't warm/hot, it still tasted good. I would come back here again and next time ask for it to be heated up. This is the only donut shop which I've been to that uses an iPad to swipe credit cards. I was kind of impressed for a donut shop to be updated with technologies... The staff was nice despite being a little bit busy. read more

We love dropping by for donuts. It's a traditional donut shop that also sells kolaches. Very friendly staff. It reminds me of when I used to go get donuts with my dad as a kid. No frills or fancy hipster stuff, just goos old donuts and coffed. read more

My favorite donut spot in all of Houston. Donuts and kolaches are always fresh. They have great croissants that are flaky and buttery. Sharon, the owner is very friendly and always happy to see me read more

On my way to work on a Sunday and decided to stop by to grab a lil treat for my floor and pod mates and MD Anderson...was totally blown away by these doughnuts!!! I have never had a doughnut that was fluffy on the outside and crispy on the outside! DELICIOUS...only problem was that all my coworkers are one diets and so I had to enjoy almost the entire box myself. read more

The donuts were quite good but the bacon/egg croissant was equally bad...which is a hard thing to do. I'd say stick to the counter on the right and play it safe with the donuts. read more

Can we say yum yum yum. On a whim, me & my husband went this mom & pop donut shop for a change of page. When you walk in it looks clean and in order. The prices are pretty responsible for the size of the food you get. We order two big sausage & cheese kolaches, two sausage cheese egg croissant (these were so tasty & huge) , a bear claw, & an apple fritter (much more apple inside & better thank Shipley's yep I said it)!! We both were satisfied & full. I haven't tried their glazed donuts to compare to Shipleys but I like their kolaches much better than Shipleys. I will be returning. And it does get busy so allow enough time to stand in line & order. read more

Great kolaches and donuts! Excellent customer service. Highly recommend the devil's food donuts! I try to stop by and pick up a box before work as often as possible! read more

Best donuts period... I won't go to any other spot. Great people great food. Made fresh everyday..thanks for being there.

THE best donuts I have ever had. They were so fresh, and as soon as you bite into a donut, you know you're in heaven.

I went to this place for breakfast at the recommendation from a friend for fast and good breakfast tacos. Their breakfast tacos were literally the worst I have ever had. They microwaved them in front of me, and when I opened them up they were FULL of onions. Donuts were good, service was friendly. But I would definitely never go back. read more

Le donut is le BOMB! Love their non-sweet food but their donuts are great. I did show up once on a Sunday and they closed earlier than they advertise but that is ok with me. read more

This place is great! Great kolaches, sandwiches and donuts. Friendly staff and they always give a free donut to us. My goto place for breakfast now. read more

Red velvet donuts and Bourdin kolache is a must to try if you haven't yet. The Bourdin is a little spicy my co worker said but not at all to me but it's very tasty. I am a big fan of red velvet anything so the donuts was right up my alley read more

I thought the donuts were very mediocre. They didn't taste like they used good quality ingredients and they were on the dry side. It tasted like the oil they cooked them in wasn't fresh too. l ordered a bunch of flavors but they all tasted very similar. My husband, as well as some friends we had over for coffee and donuts weren't impressed either and I ended up throwing most of them away. read more

I stop by here 3-4 times a week to get coffee. The donuts are pretty good too; always fresh. There's a nice variety of kolaches and little breakfast sandwiches in addition to donuts which is nice, although I must say I had the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwhich and was not at all impressed. Very friendly service, and it's always quick; a perfect pit stop on the way to work. There is a $4 credit card minimum, do of only getting one or two items, make sure you have cash. read more

Best donuts and kolache place in the area, and trust me, I've tried a lot of them. What really sets Le Donut apart from the rest are their 2 specials: cronuts and boudin sausage kolaches. My review is going to focus on these two because it's really hard to compare regular glazed donuts. C'mon it's just fried dough and sugar. You know when you have a really bad one, but you don't think twice about a good one. I've never had a Dominque Ansel cronut, so I don't know if what I'm eating is a "real cronut". All I know is that it's read good. It's like a cross between a cake donut and croissant. The sugar must go straight to my head because I'm always been a good mood after eating one, perhaps a little hyper too. I've only had the boudin sausage kolache once. They are that elusive. It's larger than a regular kolache. The sausage is filled with meat and rice and lots of cajun spices. It's super flavorful and almost kind of airy. I can't give them 5 stars due to the limited quantities. We consider ourselves lucky to be able to get on our hands on one of those. We've been unsuccessful on most week days but seem to have better luck on weekends around 9am. read more

This place is perfectly indulgent and inexpensive. The boudain was new to us and delicious, everything was soft and doughy, and the pillowy donuts were to die for (maybe literally, because this place is by no means a healthy spot, but it might be worth it). The women behind the counter were super helpful and sweet too. read more

I'm glad this shop is so close to work! Far better than the Shipley's chains with lots of deliciously fresh doughnuts. If you're there early enough to catch the plain glazed while they're warm, they're so good. You can also get the Kolaches fresh and warm early in the morning as well. Luckily they open at 5am, so in the event that you need a bite to eat super early in the morning, they can help with those hunger pangs. They have the typical variety of doughnuts, but one of the things I like about them are there non-doughnut breakfast items. They have kolaches both small and large and in different flavors from regular sausage and cheese to boudin to egg filled. One of the large kolaches will definitely take care of your appetite for a couple of hours. They do also have breakfast sandwiches and soft tacos, so there's something for everyone. The place is small with just a few places to sit down and eat, but most people that come here are on the go, so they're just in and out. The staff is also very friendly and they're happy to take care of your breakfast needs! read more
