Good donuts and kolaches.... And good prices. Better than Shipley's. Located near the Med Center so quite convenient for anyone in the area. The plain donuts are awesome (even more so than the different flavored/topping) especially when fresh. read more

Ok...I love donuts. I mean really LOVE donuts! This is my absolute favorite place to get a donut. They might not have many fancy or exotic donuts, but they do the basics to perfection. Every day, I drive by on the way to work and I have to fight the urge to stop. It's much better than shipleys (that's right I said it and I'm not ashamed!!). Service is always friendly. The same ladies have worked there for at least the past 5+years I've made my weekly visit. They consistently sneak 2 little donut holes as an added bonus into your bag. If I ever bring donuts to work, without fail, my co-workers always say something along the lines of "wow this is really good...where are these donuts from? The answer: LE DONUT!!!! read more

After all the "cronut" talk about this place we decided to try some. They tasted like a donut, but were flaky. They were also flavorless like a typical U.S. croissant. I wasn't impressed. read more

No frills mom and pop donut shop. Clean and well lit. Very sweet woman was at the counter, who I assume is the owner. They have a great variety of pastries so there's bound to be something for everyone. Their large jalapeño sausage and cheese kolaches are a very generous size. No skimping on the sausage! Very appropriate bread to filling ratio. Their doughnuts are really fresh and soft, too. I still have to try their cronuts! Will be back for those read more

Haven't been here in awhile, the sausage egg and croissant is gone up in price considerably, although the product is not bad, just don't wanna pay almost 6 dollars for a croissant, to each it own read more

We arrived with no other customers in the store. However when we left, there was a line to the door! They have some delicious kolaches, and the best part is that they offer sausages that are NOT made of pork, which is rare! If it weren't for their kolaches, I would give this place only 2 or 3 stars, because their donuts aren't particularly impressive. Service was only fair. If you know exactly what you want come in/out quickly they will do the job well. I needed a little more time to decide, and unfortunately they weren't too helpful or patient. Note: -There is a $5 minimum for credit cards. Cash preferred. -Parking lot can be dangerous with some people trying to cut through it to avoid some traffic in the mornings. read more

Love this place! Yummy Kolaches and donuts And the ppl are so nice at the front . They usually run out of stuff early so if you get there at 9 there might not be much left . Convenient location since I work at TMC read more

Just stopped in because I forgot breakfast for work. I've never been before but I have to say that the experience is great. The sweetest ladies are running the store. It was fast and the donuts were great! Even better, I got a surprise and the owner added in some free donut holes! 10/10 read more

Pass by this place all the time. Decided to stop by. I purchased the jalapeno & cheese kolache and 2 blue berry donuts. The kolache was very spicy hot like i love it. Wow it was really good. I'll go back soon and try some other things. Tastefully Great!! Sorry no pictures. read more

Nice little donut shop. Was greeted with smile. Ordered egg cheese croissant and assorted donuts. Croissant was fresh and nice, donuts were fresh too. We enjoyed. read more

These guys are super friendly! Located near subway. They have a great variety and really awesome prices. And the donuts always taste so fresh and so good! The coffee is blah, but I don't come there for the coffee I come there for the amazing cronut. Honestly, I can only eat one every quarter, because if I don't I think my thighs would quadruple in size! Visit them, they have cake holes, regular donuts, cakes, and kolaches, as well as croissants and bread. read more

Pretty good donut place. It's the go to sweets place for the medical center (I am not kidding it's literally everywhereeee in the hospital). The donut holes are probably my favorite. It's always airy and fresh. I can down 5 at a time, just so yummy. It is also ales than two dollars for a dozen. The glazed donuts are also decent. It's better than your average Shipley's but not the craziest donut I have ever had. They don't do a lot of specialty donuts, but they do have your chocolate gazed and such. The jalapeño cheese kolache is not bad, I would recommend trying it if you are there. In general, if you are in the area it's worth a try! read more

This place is always good for in the morning breakfast the kolaches and blueberry donut with no icing to be specific is the best thing they have going there, also they just added the boudin kolaches read more

This place never disappoints me. The ladies that work here and ring up your purchase are just the best little ladies you will ever meet. They greet you with a "good morning" and wish you well on your day when you walk out. Every time I buy something, they always sneak me an extra donut fresh out of the oven. I don't have much of a sweet tooth, but when I do crave something sweet early in the morning I stop by Le Donut. LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! read more

I do like this place a lot, its a neighborhood spot for us. I never even thought about writing a review for this place because it never occured to me until recently when I saw the famous yelp sticker on the door with my recent visit. There's only two places in Houston out of all the donuts shop I know that are freaking awe in savory for their donuts....one I forgot the name but is on Beechnut by Hillcroft somewhere and the other is Le Donut. Good Customer Service, good tasty food...especially the kolaches....you can get some big sausage ones! They now also serve bbq kolaches and italian chix....I tried all their kolaches but their chix one, and its very pleasing, though the big ones are greasy. The donuts.....mmmmmmmmmmmmm......they also serve burritos and croissants, never tried their croissants, but their burritos are decent.... Prices: donuts: exceptional kolaches: can be pricey burritos and croissants: pricey But hey they're only one store and for the cleaniliness and good customer service and not eating every day, its worth a try, especially the big kolaches and donuts... Those who don't want chz: I know for sure there are plain sausage kolaches and bbq. read more

The lady was nice. Nice donuts. I also tried the croissant with egg and cheese. Not disappointed. Will be definitely coming back.

Really wonderful donuts if you're not a Shipley's die hard then this is the local joint for you. Great little selection of breakfast sandwiches they pre-make for grab and go. Delicious donuts. Very friendly owners. Call ahead and they'll have you all ready on your way to work in the morning. ;) read more

I went for the first time after reading other yelp reviews. The ladies were very friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was warm and friendly. I wanted to sample a few things so I ordered them all to try Chorizo breakfast taco was yummy not too spicy Red velvet/cream cheese doughnut was delicious , soft silky texture with real red velvet flavor. Cronut tastes way better than it looked. Buttery crossaint texture with slightly sweet flavor. Great if you don't like really sweet doughnuts. Jalapeño/cheese /sausage lol ache was very yummy. Way better than Shipleys. This place is great, and 5 mins away. Can't wait to go back!!! read more

Food is so good! I got the croissant with turkey and it's so fresh! Donuts were also so good and the staff is unbelievably nice. Price was great. I will definitely be back!! read more

I get that today is National Donut Day and is precisely the reason why I came. I walked in and there are zero donuts on display. So I ask do you have any donuts? She then proceeds to inform me it's National Donut Day, to which I tell her I know. And then she says, "and we also close in 30 minutes." So do you not have donuts because of the "holiday" and you ran out or because you close in 30 minutes? How is your name Le Donuts and I can't order precisely your namesake while you're still open? read more

Great food and pastries, quality service, and great prices. Definitely a great place to visit

AMAZING donuts and sweets granted, I have only been in town for a couple days but the croughnut was probably the best breakfast sweet People can possibly bake, makes waking up at 6 am to get it completely worth it, it was absolutely the best breakfast sweet that I have ever had and recommend it to anyone. I also had the red velvet cake doughnut, it was mind blasting... But I really urge you to get the cronut , seriously like a blast of heaven in your mouth... #neverforget Thing is this place is the only one of its kind and they know they do it right... So if I were you I'd definitely bust my ass to get here first thang in the mornin... BOOM #thecronut read more

This place is more than just a donut shop. It has donuts, kolaches, sandwiches, and pastries. Had a lot to offer, so I ended up with a bag of donuts and a couple croissants! They have two windows, on the right is their donuts, and on the left is their savory side. Make sure to check both because you definitely want to try their croissants and kolaches. The donuts here are fluffy and fresh. Even the savory items are warmed up for you if you want. One of the best donut places around here. read more

Ok so based on my past reviews I realize I've been eating way too many donuts as of late. It's ok though because donuts are good for you. Oh yea the review! So the glazed donuts at Le Donut are AMAZING. I'd say their glazed donuts are the best I have had at any place! Also the owners are very nice people! For absolutely no reason they gave me a free donut and when the ups guy brought their mail in they gave the guy a free donut! Very classy Le Donut very classy! It was definitely refreshing to see how nice they are read more

Lovely family run store, parking lot gets packed. Great friendly service! But I gave 3 stars because I usually base donut places off the original basic glaze donut and it was overly sweet and left an oily taste in my mouth. However the presentation of each donut was impeccable. Only thing you should remember is Cronuts. Red velvet with the cream cheese! read more

The donuts always taste so fresh and delicious. I love the fact that I was able to find this place so close to my apartment, especially when I'm craving a sweet breakfast treat! The workers here are so sweet too and sometimes give an extra donut or donut hole free :) read more

I went here on a hungry Saturday morning and this past Friday. On a positive note the service is good and the staff is very friendly. I got a sausage, egg, and cheese croissant, boudain kolache and the chorizo, egg and cheese taco. All in all the taco and croissant were underwhelming. The chorizo lacked flavor and did not taste fresh. However, the boudain kolache was pretty taste. I will go back if I'm in the area, but only for simple pastries and maybe the boudain kolache. Honestly it's not much different than any other donut shop. read more

Probably the best blueberry glazed donuts I've had. Haven't tried their kolaches. Usually go here around 8:30am during the week and service is always quick and friendly. read more

I love going here in am before work and getting a hot new doughnut!! Yum! They accept credit card for I think 5-10 and up! I always use cash because I just get a few. Def want to get a cronut read more

Really delicious doughnuts!!! Blueberry cake donut is my favorite! Best I ever had! Good prompt service. Clean establishment.

This is great little place that helps satisfy my sweet tooth when I'm near the medical center area. However, I will say that their maple bacon donut is good but not the best I've had in Houston. read more

Driving by looking for a place to eat and we decided to stop by and we do not regret it. The staff was very fast and friendly and the food.... AMAZING! We tried a little bit of everything and it was well worth it and cheap. Definitely recommend!! read more

Never ever ever had a donut that was so good! This is a very clean shop. Most often times when you eat donuts at a place that isn't a franchise you can taste this "stale donut" flavor. Amazing staff that is quick and super friendly. It's just what you need in the morning. If you ever catch a donut straight from the fryer here you will never fill your donut craving ever again! I've had just about everything here and I have never been upset. I sure do wish that I lived closer because I'd probably go everyday!!! read more

Ive lived in the medical center for a while and I always passed this place because Shipleys is just one minute away, and their glazed donuts were my favorite. But this morning, receptionist at the residential office in my apartments told me about this place. So I finally decided to give it a chance. I walk in and am greeted and welcomed. The owners were just so nice and adorable I couldn't help myself and bought a little more than I needed. Their sausage and cheese kolaches and donut holes = amazing! Their red velvet donuts = heavenly! Their glazed donut (which I was scared to try Bc I love Shipleys!) = my new favorite.!!!! They are fluffy and soft and completely delicious. This place has a new customer for life! read more

Cheap, delicious donuts. What more can make me happy on a Saturday morning? My favorite is the red velvet cake donut! It's in a small strip plaza near the Medical Center, and the donuts and kolaches are delicious! They're nothing fancy or over-the-top, just simple, classic donuts. read more

The clouds have parted, and the angels have descended because you guys...they now have almond croissants! Flaky? Check. Buttery? Check. Had me on my knees licking every last crumb off the paper? Check. Oh Le Donut, you've done it again. read more

Went here to try a cronut and wasn't impressed. The first time I came they were all sold out so when I had the opportunity to try it I was excited. However, the cronut was definitely WAY too sweet. I understand its a doughnut but it was overwhelmingly sweet. The texture was good and if you must try it then get it but in my personal opinion, I don't think it lives up to the hype. read more

Le Donut - Boudin Kolache. Soooo good - Donuts Near Me - Houston, Texas

I recently moved from the area and the one thing I will miss is coming here on the weekends with my boyfriend and getting breakfast. This place is very simple and small but absolutely the best. I really love the owner; she's adorable and very friendly. I think she recognizes my boyfriend and I, and my roommate, since we come by so often. The rest of the employees are friendly as well and get your order done quickly. I never have to wait more than five minutes and that's when they're very busy (more than 5 customers in line). They almost always give free donut holes with every purchase, which is a friendly plus! My boyfriend and I get the same thing every time: a sausage, egg, and cheese croissant sandwich, a sprinkled pink icing donut, and apple juice for me and a jumbo jalapeño sausage and cheese kolache, a random donut, and a Vitamin Water for him. The croissant sandwich is so good and it's huge! I always think that I should change it up but as soon as I get there and see that sandwich, I can't resist. I'm 95% sure that there's two sausage patties inside (honestly, I finish it so fast that I never remember to check until it's gone) and the egg looks like it's made fresh (versus like a McD's style egg). The sprinkled pink icing donut is very light and airy and I think the icing is flavored? I had a bite of the jalapeño sausage kolache which is delicious too. He gets it every time, which says something to the tastiness of it. He's a little more "adventurous" with his choice of donut because he doesn't have a favorite but he is always happy with his choice of donut for the day. The donut holes are also super light and airy and what you should expect in donut holes. I have had the cronuts that everyone in the reviews talks about and while they are pretty good, they're a little too heavy for me as a donut to have on a regular basis. Definitely should try it at least once! My roommate and I even decided that our "one last meal" before we moved should be here. We weren't going to mention anything to the owner but she told us to "come back again soon" and we had to give her the sad news that we wouldn't be able to come by anymore. I felt like I was disappointing my own mom with that news :( I do work nearby though and even though I'm not a breakfast person on the weekdays, I might come by again before work one of these days just to grab my usual breakfast again! I think there's a $4-5 minimum for credit cards but I'm not sure since we always get enough to meet it. The prices are VERY reasonable, I think we normally spend around $10-12 for the two of us and we get a lot of food for that price. There's always plenty of parking when I go and the place is very clean (and it's such an adorable establishment that I feel like people clean up after themselves rather than make them clean it up constantly). read more
