    Summer rolls and beet salad
    Isabel W.

Le Colonial in Naples is absolutely stunning -- the interior and patio are both gorgeous, but the outdoor seating is especially worth it. The ambiance alone makes it a must-visit. We started with the summer rolls and beet salad, both super fresh and flavorful. I had the pho for my main, and it was perfectly portioned with rich, delicious broth. A beautiful spot for a relaxing and elegant meal! The service was also great.

We had been wanting to try le colonial for a while and decided to save it for a special occasion. Our 24th wedding anniversary. We did make reservations and requested the lounge area. We ended up sitting at the bar which is always our preference. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor is warm and inviting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Laura and a young man from Colombia whose name escapes me now, were our bartenders. I will say that from the moment we were greeted at the hostess stand the service was great! [[HIGHLIGHT]]There was a fan over our seats at the bar that was on very high-speed and it was making it very cold, they immediately adjusted it upon request.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had the chicken and mushroom ravioli, which is absolutely full of all sorts of flavor and made with thin rice paper. We had the dumplings and the fried rice, which were also wonderfully delicious. For cocktails I had the French kiss and my husband had the smoked old-fashioned. Both were well made. We truly enjoyed the service, the ambiance and the flavors and we will be planning our next visit.

Def will return. High ceiling, fresh flowers and greens, lush retro decor, brass bars, Parisian red, Asian portraits, Vietnamese water scenery painting anchors the main dinning hall, lovely bar, chopstick rests, wonderful music - Ella Fitzgerald lovely, the panels of leaves line the narrow hall to the bathroom ... nicely done. Good service. The first thing the server did as she greeting us, was gently checked the table's balance. We've Beet salad Ribs Beef rolls / raviolis They're all delicious but I prefer the first two. The beef rolls are delicious but too much meat - this is picking bones among the eggs. I like their chopsticks: if you can reuse it, do take it with you. They're of good quality and beautiful. Thank you.

My husband and I came here for dinner one night and had a wonderful experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were sat on the patio with our reservation, but the inside and outside of the restaurant were beautiful.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was delicious! We ordered the curry based on other yelp reviews, but it actually was our least favorite thing (lacked some flavor). The ravioli was our favorite thing we ordered!!

I have no words. If you don't understand how French and Vietnamese work together than you haven't been here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Everything here is perfect. From the wait staff to the kind chef ( shoutout my boy chef jack) to the decoration. It's such a beautiful and intentional place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]All the flowers are REAL. That's so rare for restaurants today.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food? I'll never be able to get over it. The blend of flavors is perfect. My boyfriend who has never tried tuna tar tar loved it. We tried so many wonderful dishes. The chicken curry reminded me of my childhood, but was even better. The food is cooked with passion and purpose. The drinks? Holy cow they are GOOD. Not so strong you taste t straight alcohol but they get the job done. Just when you think the food can't get better out comes dessert. WOW. The chocolate cake was a show and beignets were perfect. The sauces paired perfectly. Shaking beef is also one of the best dishes on the menu. The food is easy to eat. Can't wait to come back to eat and see my new friends

[[HIGHLIGHT]]A wonderful elegant and casual setting, we ate on the patio.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was attentive and the food was fantastic. The green curry shrimp came with a warning: it was hot/spicy/beware!. I chose it and it needed the warning! and was delicious paired with some extra sticky coconut rice. The ribs were meaty and tasty, everything delish. All in all an enjoyable lunch time.

    Beet salad - very good!

This is where I took my wife for dinner the night we got engaged. It will always hold a special place in our hearts. We try to get back at 6 months or so because it's sooooo good and the service is always incredible. Our favorite dishes are the fried rice and yellow curry but everything is amazing! I love the old Cuban cocktail and the Colonial.

This is my third Le Colonial location in the last decade. With the others being San Francisco and Chicago. While I'm ecstatic to see elevated Asian cuisine (specifically Vietnamese) in the heart of Naples. Some of the items feel like failed attempts. Many of the dishes are overpriced for the portion you receive. This was our first time having lunch. It was over $100 a person at $460+ for the items sele below. Drinks - le colonial rose was good as were the various (pricey) cocktails we tried Apps - egg rolls (tasty), lotus salad, beef carpaccio, ravioli Entrees - shaking beef (portion size was definitely disappointing...as someone else noted, it's more like a salad than an entree), chicken curry (on the sweeter side but enjoyable) Sides - garlic noodles (little too sweet and overcooked noodles), garlic green beans (disappointing, not much flavor) Service was very pleasant but quite slow at times. Ambiance was amazing and probably the reason LC gets four stars instead of 3.

    Lychee martini

Food is beautifully presented and always delicious. Drinks, fabulous. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance is so beautiful and romantic.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service is pretty good. Favorite restaurant in SWFL. We go sometimes just for dessert & excellent cappuccino. Book far in advance!

There isn't a day since then that I don't think about that evening and the great dinner we all had. It was our fourth and last dinner together, we had not been thrilled by any restaurant in the area and I decided to search for 5 star Spanish restaurants in honor of Spain win. Well it did not disappoint. In fact it exceeded all our expectations! The ambiance is striking as you walk in, it throws you off with paintings all over and tables arranged with different style chairs, some with booths and in general old style. I must say it could have been the worst evening. The hostess/waitress/daughter of the owner, Sophia offered to sit us at a mixed table (chairs/booth) . Tables had to be moved and arranged, and the setup was not working out due to multiple issues, sitting between tables and 2 booth chairs, sunlight couldn't be blocked and was bothering one side of the table, and the group was a bit uptight after a negative experience the previous day. So I spoke up and said out loud that the seating wasn't working out. We must have been making somewhat of a scene and the owner/chef, John, came out to check on us, and calm the waters. We were kindly accommodated at a different table right in the middle of the restaurant. There was only one other couple in the restaurant and as soon as they left, the restaurant was all for us! I can't say enough about the food! We started with a few tapas, we shared a paella and others ordered their own entree. Everything was so amazing that we all ended up trying everybody's food. The food had this special taste....basque/french touch from the owners culinary origins. Sophia and John, served us like kings , and handled the situation at the beginning with flying colors. Super friendly, housewarming, and professional. Do not leave before you try the Basque torta. It's like a basque cheesecake. I dream about it every day. Take another piece to go, or you will regret it like we did, when we couldn't go back for more!

We ordered the paella for four with skirt steak, white asparagus, and saffron rice. The portion size was unbelievable. Not only did it feed us dinner that night, but I enjoyed the leftovers for six meals afterward. The saffron rice was rich and flavorful, the skirt steak was tender, and the white asparagus added a nice touch that made the dish feel special. For dessert, we brought home the Basque cheesecake with fig sauce. It was creamy, rich, and perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of sweetness from the fig sauce. Many people rave about the cheesecake, and after trying it myself, I understand why. It was absolutely delicious. We also picked up a bottle of red and a bottle of white wine for $25 each. Both wines paired beautifully with the food and made our takeout dinner feel a little more special. What impressed me most was how well everything traveled. The food tasted as good at home as it would have in a restaurant, and the generous portions meant we enjoyed El Basque for days. Great food, great value, and a meal that kept on giving. We'll definitely be back.

She was friendly, attentive and pleasant when we asked to move our table to one a little farther away from the greenery, where a few no-see-ums were pesky. Our water glasses were frequently topped off and it was refreshing to be able to order apps without having to order the entree at the same time. She even brought us cushions as the chairs are a bit deep. BAR: Cosmo was well made, average size, pricey at $22.50. House white was an average pour, reasonable for $12. FOOD: The chicken liver was tasty and cooked perfectly. The onion soup was just ok, $16. It was a bit bland, but the biggest issue was the size and toughness of some of the onions. They were the outer part of the onion and were larger than typical in onion soup. The cheese was flavorful. I would have preferred a half portion, as the app size is huge and soup isn't an app that is easily shared. The Boeuf Bourguignon was flavorful and tender, but again, way too much of it. The accompaniment was scallop potatoes. I'd recommend mashed to make use of the yummy gravy in the bowl. The Veggies were bright and tender, but served in a bowl so challenging to cut up. ATMOSPHERE: It is pretty seating outdoors. The piano player was a really nice touch, adding to the charm. There are no-see-ums, so if you are someone who they seem to target, I'd recommend some type of bug repellent if you are going to sit indoors.

Last couple of years, we have been going to new restaurants in the area with varying results. I am glad she did since it reminded me how delicious the food is and how attentive the servers/staff are. We started with appetizers (foil gras and caprese salad). For our main entrees, I ordered the halibut special, and my husband got the seafood risotto. Both were delicious. Though I preferred the Chilean sea bass, the halibut was cooked well (buttery, flaky, etc) and came with lighter sides than the Chilean sea bass. The risotto was creamy with lots of seafood. Very good selection of wines by the glass. Overall, we had a very good meal and a pleasant evening. Since we didn't came here for their early dining specials, the check total was a bit pricey but is within reason for a 5th avenue restaurant. We Will definitely come back again.
