Ordered French onion soup after our walk from Eiffel tower. Busy place and expensive. 1 onion soup is 19€ each. Friendly staff.

Sat here for lunch and am surprised they have such low ratings. I got the chicken and it came with fries and salad, the chicken was cooked perfectly, the skin crispy and meat moist. The chicken gravy was the best part, tons of flavor. Salad was tossed in a mustard-y dressing, it was sharp. The pasta bolognese was a bit bland though. The bread that came with it was soft and not super hard like the regular bread that comes with every meal in Paris. Service was a bit blunt but very helpful at the end. Ambiance was ok, tables are a bit tight.

Stopped here after midnight after watching the Eiffel Tower light show, my friend and I ordered a crème brûlée & a crepe. My friend loved her crepe and said it away super yummy. The crème brûlée was not bad and a good sweet treat to end the night.

Unfortunately, I was not able to read the reviews online prior to dining here. There was a young lady standing outside coasting people inside. This should have been a sign. This location is very near the Eiffel tower and should not have needed any nudging. We were seated immediately inside the restaurant by the window. It was a nice spot to people watch. The decor was beautiful. The ceiling was interesting, and I loved the wallpaper. The food was overpriced for the taste which was underwhelming. Most of the dishes taste as if it was frozen and thawed in the microwave. The beef stew was ok and enjoyed by my daughter. I'm glad I ordered wine versus a cocktail. Based on everything else, I'm sure I would have been disappointed. The service was good. Our waiter was very attentive; even with the busyness of the restaurant. The location is in a great spot. Combine the menu choices, ambience and waitstaff , it is very appealing but avoid if you can. There are better restaurants nearby.

The pizza was inedible. A frozen pizza is preferable to this.

Date of visit: September 11, 2022 Total tourist trap! Do not go here, we totally got snookered! The waiters all speak perfect English until you have an issue, then they don't know what you're talking about. They also bring you things that you did not order. My husband ordered water and I ordered an iced coffee. They brought the water and two iced coffees and then disappeared so I couldn't protest. Since we were going to be charged for them, I drank both. The pizza was absolutely terrible, I ended up only eating the cheese off the top as the crust was inedible. Truly the worst pizza I've ever had, and I grew up in the 80s! When it was time to pay, I used a credit card and the waiter came over with the machine. He asked if I wanted to add a tip (the only time that anyone ever asked us that in France) and I said, "Trois," or three euros. When I got the receipt, I see that he gave himself "Cinq," or five. Again, do. Not. Go. Here. Walk a few blocks down this street and you will find much better places. This is totally taking advantage of tourists.

The service was pretty good here. The ambiance is beautiful. I love the lanterns and wall paper, and outside seating. However this restaurant is a blatant tourist trap close to the Eiffel Tower. With the prices charged, you would think it was inside the tower itself. $8 for fries is very steep, and $11 for a Coke is just wild. My friend ordered a very gross, square pizza with goat cheese in the middle. She liked it but I almost spat it out. $18 is too much for a personal pizza. The croque monsieur is edible. The french onion soup here is overwhelming. It's just a glob of cheese and bread, and lots and lots of salt. We paid a lot for convenience stopping here, and I'm glad we didn't decide to finish with dessert. The service was okay, at the very least. Our waiter cracked some jokes and seemed to be in good spirits.

We walked in and they were busy because their card machine was down. We looked over the pastry options and then their system came back up. We ordered a baguette, a croissant and a small box of macaroons. Both the croissant and the baguette were amazing. The macaroons were stale and gross. I was surprised but then I saw the same ones at the airport and realized it a third party. They must have been sitting there for a while. Sad because I really was expecting great macaroons in Paris. Otherwise, I would get a baguette again any day!

The croque monsieur had a generous pile of gruyère melted on the sides of the bread with a proportional amount of meat and filling on the inside. With the croque monsieur warmed up, it made a perfect brunch meal with the ube latte. The ube latte is exactly what you would expect but crafted carefully. I would just go back for this delightfully warm concoction in the morning. The service to go along with this made this experience more pleasant as it seems most of the employees were filipinos. They were quick to receive you and leave you beyond satisfied. The shop exudes the classic parisian aesthetic that most people would romanticize and I am glad I experienced it. I would come back for the pleasant experience - try out Merci Jérôme!
