I have been a patron of this shop for at least 15 years, since they were at the old place tuck in the corner behind the 7-11. Food was always great and staff were and are still super friendly and fast. Sadly I must give them a two star rating for their bun bo, lebledo signature dish since the beginning. I noticed that the quality (and quantity) of the meat has gone down fast recently. We had to throw away the Vietnamese Cha because they tasted awful. Please do some quality control. YAASS. Having the option to grab banh mi less than 10 minutes from my apartment and NOT having to drive all the way to Falls Church is the best thing that's happened to me this month! I've had Le Bledo Dalat Bakery bookmarked for months, and on a lazy Sunday evening, Will C. and I decided to pay them a visit for an early dinner. This establishment is quite new, and the interior definitely speaks to that. Everything's squeaky clean and super new looking. The staff is extremely friendly and exceptionally nice. For our dinner, we both ordered banh mis and split an order of their summer rolls. The sandwiches came out in a flash, and a friendly employee brought them to our table. Before even taking my first bite, I knew my bbq pork banh mi was going to be good. The bread definitely has a crunchy quality to it, but it's more on the pillowy, soft side. The banh mi was loaded up with fresh veggies with a light layer of mayonnaise to keep everything perfectly balanced. The summer rolls were made fresh to order, so it took a little while to come out of the kitchen. It was definitely worth the wait though. The food is the star. I saw the great reviews and gave it a try as I was in Springfield. I got the beef stew and had them add in egg noodles. Frankly the noodles are irrelevant for me. I can't believe I have not tried out Le Bledo's banh mi until today... with my experience here today it will now become my go-to spot for my banh mi craving. Alexis K and I decided to stop by to grab a quick dinner and we both found it to hit the spot perfectly. I opted for the combination banh mi and Alexis and I split an order of the summer rolls. Upon my first bite into my banh mi I was thoroughly impressed with the bread. It was soft yet crunchy at the same time. I was so used to a really crunchy baguette from Banh Mi DC that I thought that was the norm. Furthermore they used the perfect ratio of meat to veggie which made every bite truly enjoyable. Words can't describe how much I enjoyed the banh mi here. The summer rolls were made fresh to order and was served warm. As you could have expected, the rolls were very fresh and I can't recall a time where I had better summer rolls. Excellent Vietnamese sandwiches, probably the best in the Springfield area. I would still go with Banh Mi DC if you're looking for the number one in all of NoVA, but La Bledo is definitely my second favorite (and better than anything in Eden Center for Vietnamese sandwiches). They give you some good options to customize (including a fried egg!), and they have other Vietnamese dishes as well that were not bad. They are close to me so I will be a regular here. Don't order on UberEats though, they actually increase the price per item and don't give the buy five sandwiches get one free. So save money, go in to the shop and eat your sandwich fresh. Husband and I both got the pho here for a weekday dinner. The food took a while to come out and it was just OK. The broth was flavorful but was a little thin. I was really disappointed after all the raving reviews. Went there with the family to try it out. Food and service were both mediocre at best. Let's start with it was hot outside and they had the door open and no AC on. Not only was it hotter in the restaurant but the flies made the experience even worse. Positive: Location was not bad with plenty of parking. Ordered the bbq meat with vermicelli noodles and egg rolls. The meat was tough, over cooked and dry. There were no veggies in my bowl except for lettuce. The egg rolls were crispy and tough. Overall, the meat and egg rolls did not taste fresh but like it was cooked, frozen and then reheated. Other family members got various soups. The duck soup was overly salty. The spice beef soup was bland and the specialty soup was nothing to rave about. We were hoping to find a go to Vietnamese place without having to go to Eden but found it to be overall overpriced and disappointing. Oh and you need to bus the tables yourself after eating. Pretty good Banh Mi for not being in Falls Church Viet Mecca area. Tried the Banh Mi Dac Biet and the meatball xiu Mai (which is my absolute favorite Banh mi sandwich). I was quite impressed! Banh Mi Dac Biet or Cold Cut sandwich - meat was really good, not fatty or chewy. I didn't love the pate as it was a little thicker in consistency. I'm used to the smoother pate, but all in all, it was still delicious. Banh Mi meatball was good too, hefty portion of meatball stuffing. It wasn't fatty which I enjoyed, but I thought the consistency was a little off (maybe too tough?) and maybe it needed some more sauce in the actual meal ball. I would get it again though - don't get me wrong. $5 per Banh mi which is pretty much the standard these days. $11 for Cha Lua or pork steamed sausage roll. When I arrived they were juuuuust getting out of the steamer, bursting from the seams and it looks SO good. And, it was good in the Banh mi. Next time I have company in town, I will definitely get a roll. Banh Bao and pate chaud was 2.50 each. The Banh Bao (steamed pork bun) was lacking in flavor unfortunately. The bun was a great texture. The pork filling didn't have enough flavor though, and I was looking forward to the Chinese sausage slice stuffed in it. I think Ba Le has better buns to be honest. I saw an Instagram post on the pate chaud, but didn't get it this time around. It was wrapped in Saran Wrap, I wish it was in a heating tray area. I'd be interested in it's crunchiness and freshness. Banh beo is 7$ and looked like a good portion. Next time I come, I'll have to try the noodle soups. Don't forget, $10 CREDIT CARD MINIMUM!! Living in Franconia/Alexandria, sometimes you don't want to drive all the way out to Falls Church for some Banh Mi or Vietnamese food in general. We found this place though, and I'm glad that we did! When you first come in, it was confusing. There was a guy behind the counter who greeted us, but that's it. We stood there pretty confused and had to ask him if we seated ourselves. He said to order first then sit down (thanks, could've told us when you first greeted us) then had to show us where the menu is. However, those behind the counter were super sweet and attentive. They really valued their customers and made sure everyone dining had everything they needed. First thing I noticed was that they did the Buy 5 Banh Mi, Get 1 Free (which is a very common Eden Banh Mi shop deal). However, their prices were slightly higher than that of shops like Banh Mi So 1. My boyfriend and our friend ended up getting the 5 subs, with their sixth free. They said the Banh mi Thit Nuong was good - however, they wish there was just more. More meat. More bread. More filling. I got a bowl of bun bo hue and goi cuon - which costed me $20 for both (REALLY overpriced, in my opinion). However, I was happy with my meal. The broth was super flavorful, noodles perfectly cooked, A LOT of beef, and the side veggies were super fresh. I wish I can say I'll return, but we'll have to see. I loveee coming to Le Bledo whenever I'm in the area. It's so convenient versus having to drive to Eden and deal with their parking mess. The staff are warm and friendly, especially the girl Lamoo that usually takes the orders. The previous owners made a mean bun bo hue and theirs does not disappoint! All their noodle dishes are well proportioned and flavorful! I'm not a big banh mi fan, but my boyfriend loves their combination and red pork! Service is always friendly and the dining area has plenty of tables for eating in. One more thing, the banh bao here is always delicious and cooked properly. Someone recently posted a photo claiming the steamed banh bao had raw meat inside. From what I could see in the photo, the "raw meat" is actually lap cheong. It's Chinese sausage that is red in color and may be alarming when compared to the color of the pork, especially to those who may not be familiar with it. You have to know where you are going or be going to a place next to it to find it. It's not a place that you would drive by and notice. I didn't even know it was there. I had the Pho and egg rolls with pork and shrimp! They were some of the best egg rolls I've had! Super yummy and not super greasy which is a plus in my book. The Pho was good, the seasoning of the broth was yummy but it had a ton of salt. You can choose sweet chilli or fish sauce. I think I might give the sweet chilli next time, but the fish sauce was yummy! It's the perfect ratio of noodles too! Many places I always want to order more noodles. I will have to agree to disagree with this person because the bread and filling (bi chay/shredded veggies) at Le Bledo is not as crunchy as at Banh Mi DC. I however liked the seating options not provided at Banh Mi DC as well as the banh da lon (steamed layer cake) at Le Bledo. The different non-banh mi vegan options listed on the menu enticed me as well. For these reasons, I will give Le Bledo four stars and another visit. read more
