I am not Vietnamese so maybe Le Bledo's food is too authentic for me? Le Bledo's Vietnamese food is the strongest flavored and scented Vietnamese food I have had to this day. And I have had a lot of Vietnamese food from many, many highly rated restaurants. So is Le Bledo too authentic or just actually not so good? I'm not too sure. What did I order? I ordered the Chicken Banh Mi ($6.00), Pho w/ Brisket ($10.50), and Bun Bo Hue ($12.50). The chicken in the Chicken Banh Mi was salty and slightly greasy, but the veggies were really fresh. The Pho w/ Brisket had thicker and tougher meat than I'm used to. The broth was also much more pungent and herby. But this dish was definitely the best of the three. The Bun Bo Hue was very fishy... I still gave Le Bledo 3 stars because I was able to eat my food. The food wasn't bad, it just wasn't so good. The people that work here are very kind though. A small, clean and casual cafe. Readymade food is available to takeaway. We ate in and decided on S6, Duck and bamboo shoots with noodles and cabbage salad and N1, Vermicelli noodles with BBQ pork. You can't consider yourself a sandwich connoisseur if you've never eating a Bánh mì. For those of y'all who don't know. Vietnam was invaded by France in the mid 1800s. Bánh mì, which is the Vietnamese word for bread originated on the streets of Saigon. It's an amazing French-Vietnamese hybrid consisting of an airy baguette, sour pickled daikon and carrot, crisp cilantro, spicy chilis, and a cool sliver of cucumber surrounding any number of protein options, from sweet minced pork to fatty pate to sardines. This hidden is the best! I came across them via my fellow yelpers. I have a hard time finding garden spring rolls in bulk. I love serving these at parties. Based on the yelp reviews and photos, I called to see if I could get a small tray for same day pickup. They were so accommodating and even mentioned that if I order 20 or more pieces they offered a discount. They pack them very securely in a nice aluminum container and wrap them tightly. It comes with a nice big sauce container. I ordered 20 pieces and cut them in half to serve at my party. They were the most popular dish at my party! I now order them for all my gatherings. But failed, because sandwiches) If you are unfamiliar with what a Bahn Mi is you clearly need to drag your carcass here and give it a whirl. My go to is B2 the Chicken Bahn Mi. It is so delicious. I really wanted to like this place because the menu looked good and they had such high ratings. Unfortunately, I cannot give it more than one star because of cleanliness issues. The tables and counters were not cleaned once while we were there (over an hour) and the table next to us was seated three times, but never cleaned once between customers. The only reason I finished my regular bowl of Pho was due to a light dinner last night, no breakfast, or lunch today. That and the fact that it tasted fantastic! The slices of chicken were NOT reasonable but wondrously juicy and excessive. And the add-ins were generous and fresh. My only quibble would be that their summer rolls are made fresh every morning, wrapped in cellophane, and displayed on a counter in bundles of three. I love the stuff but why not two? Very disappointed! Last time we ate pork belly banh mi it was good. Then did tk out yesterday it was pretty bad . It's mostly pieces of fat . The fat was not even from the belly part. Wanting a quick lunch on the way during a long drive, I figured banh mi would be fast, cheap, and tasty, so Le Bledo right off of the highway was a no brainer. I walked into Le Bledo with every intention to grab a sandwich and some gui con and quickly hit the road. However, my plans changed when I heard the orders of the Vietnamese customers in front of me; all four ordered bun bo hue. I love that dish of spicy, lemongrass-infused broth, rice noodles, and tender cuts of beef and pork. Knowing the locals wouldn't lead me astray, I went for it despite my hankering for banh mi. No regrets. Le Bledo's version of the soup has grown into my current obsession. The price ($12) is a little higher than outlets at, say, Eden Center, but the quality totally warrants the still reasonable price-point. The neon-red broth's rich, but not muddy, backbone of meat flavor paired wonderfully with plenty of citrusy lemongrass and the perfect level of red chili kick. Each bite brought an ample quantity of tender meat including beef shank and pork trotters. All the meat was boneless, which made eating a much simpler process. I like my noodles slightly more toothy, but that mattered very little to me given the quality of the broth and meat. Pro-tip: wear a red or dark colored shirt if eating bun bo hue, as that bright broth left a series of scarlet stains on my green t-shirt. Service was fast and very friendly, as I was in and out within 20 minutes. Next time I'm driving by, I'll make sure to stop by for a quick bowl of bun bo hue (and maybe an extra order and some gui con to go for my girlfriend). read more

Hello fifth star! After being sustained on banh mi for the past year (#newmomlife), I can confidently say that Le Bledo makes the best sandwiches in all of the DMV. Barbecued pork is my go to and their meat is tender and seasoned of lemongrass. The bread is crunchy on the outside and pillowy soft on the inside. They add a healthy slather of butter to every roll which adds a nice richness that melds all of the flavors together nicely. Delicious and cheap Vietnamese food in Springfield, close to the Springfield Town Center Mall. If you're shopping and need a bite to eat, this is much better and cheaper than anything you can get in the food court. Where else can you get a $5 sandwich other than subway? The bahn mi here are a fantastic deal. They have sandwiches for $4.75 (combo cold cut, shredded chicken, veggie, shredded pork skin, pork roll & pork meat ball) and some for $5 (Bbq pork, pork belly & pork patty). You can also add a "fried egg" for $1, but it was actually scrambled. I would recommend you add it, it really makes the sandwich. For meat, try the BBQ pork or pork belly. The bread is crisp on the outside and fluffy and light on the inside- so fresh! There aren't a lot of toppings or meat but it is enough to leave you full and satisfied, though you might need a snack later. Easy parking in the parking lot, and lots of tables inside. The interior is very clean and minimal but tastefully decorated. You order at the counter and they bring your food out to you. $10 credit card minimum. Would highly recommend! Eating this awesome banh mi as we speak! I was craving banh mi and a Vietnamese coffee to wake me up and I found Le Bledo. Why did I wait so long to come here? It's close and I don't have to drive all the way to Eden Center! Let's start with the coffee. Strong and tasty just how I like it. Ice to drink ratio is on point. Not 90% ice and 10% coffee like other places that make viet coffee. I feel the coffee running through my veins right now! Now for the sandwich. I'm from Cali so I know what good banh mi is! This place makes good sandwiches. For me it's all about the bread. Soft yet toasty. Tons of meat and veggies. Good sandwich but not Cali good. There's tons of space inside for you to enjoy your food.
