Upon entering, we were greeted by a beautiful display of wine bottles that immediately caught my attention. The atmosphere was elegant, intimate, and sophisticated, setting the tone for a wonderful evening. We settled in for cocktails, delicious food, and great conversation. I ordered a martini and the filet mignon, prepared medium-well with truffle butter. We also enjoyed mashed potatoes, potatoes au gratin, roasted Brussels sprouts, and a beet salad. Now, let's talk about that beet salad! Absolutely EVERYTHING! The colorful beets, fresh greens, and cheese made for such a delightful combination. It was easily one of my favorite dishes of the evening. The potatoes au gratin were equally delicious, and the entire meal felt wonderfully indulgent. But what truly elevated our evening was the service. Our server was absolutely AMAZING! She was attentive, gracious, and made every moment feel effortless. I genuinely appreciated how she anticipated our needs and wouldn't let me lift a finger. That level of care and attention transformed an already beautiful dinner into a complete luxury dining experience. Steak 44 understands that exceptional dining goes beyond what's served on the plate. It's the atmosphere, the presentation, the hospitality, and those thoughtful touches that make an evening memorable. My experience? A solid 10/10! Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply enjoying a romantic night out, Steak 44 delivers an experience worth savoring. I would absolutely return!

My friend and I arrived dressed nicely, only to be stopped and told that her outfit violated the restaurant's dress code because it was considered "athletic wear." She was wearing a tasteful white two-piece pants set, nothing revealing or inappropriate. The gentleman who approached us, whom I assume was a manager, initially refused to let us dine. Rather than argue, she showed him why it wasn't and then we politely thanked him and walked away. As we left, my friend immediately expressed how uncomfortable and singled out the interaction made her feel. Approximately two minutes later, the same gentleman came outside and told us he would make an exception "this time" because we seemed like nice people. That statement only made the situation more insulting. If the dress code was truly the issue, what suddenly changed? And why did whether we seemed like "nice people" determine if we were welcome? Under normal circumstances, we would have taken our business elsewhere. However, my friend had driven an hour specifically to enjoy one of her favorite restaurants, and it was already 9:30 p.m. What should have been an enjoyable evening turned into an uncomfortable experience that affected the entire night between her and I and ultimately caused it to end early. I won't speculate about the reasoning behind our treatment, but I will say that what we experienced, especially compared with other guests we observed, left us questioning whether the "dress code" was being truly the reason we were disrespected. I've always heard great things about Steak 44, and I appreciate the restaurant's reputation for excellent food and service. Unfortunately, my very first visit left me feeling disappointed, disrespected, and unwelcome. Fine dining should come with high standards, but those standards should be applied consistently and respectfully to every guest. No one should be made to feel that they have to earn the right to be treated with dignity.

When we first entered the restaurant we were warmly welcomes by several members of the staff. We let them know that we had a reservation and we were seated quickly. You definitely need to make a reservation. The restaurant is quaint. It has bar seating for eight and about seven tables. We definitely love the warm and cozy vibe. Another huge contributing factor of the intimate setting was the fire grill that you can see from pretty much anywhere in the restaurant. To drink, I had the Cantarito. It was a mixture of. Milagro reposado, charred citrus juice, lime, and ginger which was garnished with dried slices of citrus. It was spectacular! My husband chose a bottle of Mexican Coke. We started with the Embered Elote and the cucumber salad. The Elote was fire roasted corn on the cob with a delicious crema, and spicy sauce garnished with queso. The cucumber salad was super unique, and the combination of flavors were absolutely delightful. it was made up of cucumbers, radishes, tomatoes, tomatillo vinaigrette, and queso. I have to say the elote/bone marrow combo is life changing. My husband isn't a fan of elote but he could not stop raving about this dish. It was rich without feeling heavy. The hamachi crudo was SPICY but in the most addicting way. We didn't think it could get better, but the pollo asado was amazing. I prefer dark meat, but had a piece of the breast and it was so juicy. From the moment we arrived, the restaurant set the tone for an elevated and thoughtfully curated dining experience--one that seamlessly blended classic French technique with refined creativity. We began with the escargot, which was nothing short of phenomenal. Perfectly tender and bathed in a rich, herbaceous garlic butter, each bite was deeply aromatic without being overwhelming. The balance of earthiness and brightness made it a standout opening, setting a high bar for the courses that followed. Equally impressive was the stuffed pork belly dumpling--an unexpected yet masterful addition to the menu. The pork belly was luxuriously rich, encased in a delicate dumpling that held its structure while yielding effortlessly. The flavors were deeply savory with a subtle sweetness, creating a dish that felt both indulgent and meticulously composed. The tuna carpaccio offered a refreshing contrast. Thinly sliced and impeccably fresh, the tuna had a silky, almost buttery texture that melted on the palate. Its creamy accompaniment enhanced rather than overshadowed the fish, resulting in a dish that was both light and deeply satisfying. For the mains, the 34-ounce tomahawk steak was a true centerpiece. Expertly cooked, it arrived with a beautifully caramelized crust and a perfectly tender interior. Each slice delivered a bold, robust flavor that spoke to the quality of the cut and the precision of its preparation. It was both dramatic in presentation and exceptional in execution. The ricotta ravioli showcased a more delicate side of the kitchen's expertise. The pasta was pillowy and tender, encasing a creamy ricotta filling that was subtly seasoned to allow its natural richness to shine. It was elegant, comforting, and flawlessly balanced. Finally, the steak frites rounded out the experience with classic French simplicity done right. The steak was cooked to perfection, juicy and flavorful, paired with crisp, golden frites that provided the ideal textural contrast. It was a timeless dish elevated through attention to detail. Altogether, each dish reflected a kitchen operating at a high level--where technique, flavor, and presentation come together in harmony. This was not just a meal, but a carefully orchestrated culinary experience that lingered long after the last bite. read more

5 out of 5 Stars - An Unforgettable Evening at Le Âme, The Global Ambassador From the moment my husband and I arrived at The Global Ambassador, we knew we were in for a special treat. The valet service was not only efficient but complimentary, adding a touch of convenience and luxury right from the start. Remember to bring cash for tipping - the seamless phone-based service for car requests is a modern touch that we appreciated. Le Âme, the hotel's crown jewel, didn't disappoint. Despite being fully booked on OpenTable, we decided to try our luck with a walk-in. To our delight, the hostess offered us seating in the bar area. This turned out to be a serendipitous twist - our cozy private booth in the romantically lit lounge felt even more special than the main dining room. Our waiter, Cooper, was exceptional. Visiting from Nashville to train the staff, his expertise and warm service enhanced our experience. We love exploring a menu through shared dishes, and Cooper's selections for us were spot-on. The Parisian Spritz and Manhattan cocktails were the perfect start, setting a sophisticated yet relaxed tone. The onion dip with potato chips, elevated with the Osetra Caviar, was a decadent delight. The Duck Spring Rolls and Le Wedge salad were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. For our entrees, the Lobster Frites and Ricotta Ravioli were simply exquisite. The lobster was cooked to perfection, and the ravioli's delicate flavors sang with each bite. Ending the night, the Tarte Tatin and an Espresso Martini were the cherries on top of an already fabulous meal. Le Âme is more than just a restaurant; it's an experience. The ambiance, service, and culinary delights all combined to create an evening we won't soon forget. We're already looking forward to our next visit. If you find yourself at The Global Ambassador, make sure to dine at Le Âme - it's an absolute must! read more

Nestled within The Global Ambassador, Sam Fox's luxurious new hotel, Le Ame in Scottsdale is a Parisian steakhouse that masterfully blends classic French cuisine with a touch of casual elegance. The ambiance is well-appointed, yet it retains a laid-back charm that makes it welcoming for a variety of dining experiences. This is a place where dressing up feels just right, making it perfect for those seeking a luxury dining experience. Le Ame offers a menu that features the French classics Americans have come to adore. The quiche is delightfully light and flavorful, the salade Niçoise is fresh and perfectly balanced, and the French onion soup is rich and comforting with its gooey, melted cheese topping. The steak tartare is a standout, with its precise seasoning and high-quality meat, while the beef Bourguignon is a hearty, tender dish that feels like a warm hug on a plate. Of course, no Parisian steakhouse would be complete without steak frites, and Le Ame's version does not disappoint with its juicy steak and perfectly crispy fries. In an intriguing twist, Le Ame also features a short list of Jewish classics, reflecting Sam Fox's personal touch. The pastrami sandwich is robust and satisfying, and the matzo ball soup offers a comforting, homey flavor that complements the French offerings beautifully. Service at Le Ame is exceptional. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly, enhancing the overall dining experience. Whether you're there for a special occasion or a casual meal, you can expect to be well taken care of. Overall, Le Ame successfully merges the sophistication of a Parisian steakhouse with a casual, welcoming atmosphere, making it a must-visit destination in Scottsdale. This is the ideal spot for a dress-up type dinner, where luxury and elegance come together to create an unforgettable dining experience. read more

Le Âme feels less like a restaurant and more like a quiet escape to Paris that somehow found its way into the Arizona desert. Tucked inside the Global Ambassador, it carries itself with the kind of elegance that never has to announce itself. Soft light, polished marble, conversations floating through the room like jazz--every detail whispers stay a little longer. My parents ordered the Reuben and the French dip, and they are still talking about them. Sandwiches prepared with the kind of care that reminds you simple food can still be extraordinary. I ordered a gluten-free sandwich with gluten-free fries, and as someone who is both gluten and dairy free, I cannot express the relief of being welcomed instead of accommodated. I called ahead, and the staff went above and beyond, proving that hospitality is an art form all its own. Then there was the Skin Smoothie. I have traveled through enough cafés and coffee shops to know when something is special, and this might genuinely be the best smoothie I have ever had. Smooth, refreshing, and somehow worthy of every bit of internet hype. Skinmaxxing? Perhaps. Soulmaxxing? Absolutely. Le Âme is authentic without being pretentious, classy without feeling distant, and every plate seems to leave the kitchen with a quiet promise of perfection. It is a beautiful piece of French culture and representation in Phoenix, a place that deserves to become a staple for this city. A little pro tip: Wander over to the café on the opposite side. Bring a good book, put on your headphones, order something delicious and let the afternoon drift by. Some places feed your appetite. Others feed your spirit. Le Âme, your name means The Soul, and somehow that feels exactly right. À bientôt--see you soon. read more

Recently, we booked a reservation at Le Ame, the Parisian Steakhouse in Sam Fox's new Global Ambassador Hotel, to celebrate our two-year anniversary. The restaurant boasts a classic open kitchen, an elegant dining room, and a well-polished staff. Our much-anticipated day arrived yesterday. Despite being a bit late for our 6:30 pm reservation, we were seated promptly. While waiting, I couldn't help but notice the two hostesses at the podium, dressed in cute red outfits. However, the blond waitress's dress appeared rather wrinkled, leaving me surprised that the restaurant didn't enforce a dress code. Despite specifying our anniversary on the reservation, no one inquired about our celebration. Fortunately, our server, Juliette, provided excellent service, ensuring our glasses were filled without prompting. The food, including Paris Baguette, Tuna Carpaccio, Caesar Salad, Loup De Mar, 7oz Fillet Mignon, Creamed Spinach, and Butter Whipped Potato, was tasty but a bit too rich for my taste. The Tuna Carpaccio stood out as excellent, and both the Branzino and fillet were perfectly cooked. While the creamed spinach was overly cheesy and congealed when no longer hot, the butter whipped potato was delightfully smooth. Opting for dessert, we sought Juliette's advice and settled on the Chocolate Tart, only to find it overly rich, resembling a softened chocolate bar. We exchanged it for a scoop of dark chocolate ice cream. Despite the restaurant's loud ambiance, our overall dining experience was good but not outstanding. Would I return? Perhaps, but not in the near future, considering the 40-minute drive from North Scottsdale, where many great restaurants await exploration. read more

OMG, Le Ame! Where do I even begin? Let's start with The Global Ambassador hotel which houses Le Ame! Let's talk about the decor. It exudes a warm and inviting atmosphere, reminiscent of a cozy den. Imagine a piano and a singer serenading you, accompanied by rustic mustard yellow throw pillows that add a touch of charm to the chairs. My friends and I decided to celebrate a birthday with a delightful Sunday brunch at Le Ame. As we were seated, we were greeted with a warm smile by our host--I can't recall her name, but she had blond hair styled in a ponytail. If that helps, lol. We started our culinary journey with the duck fat hash browns. Oh my goodness, they were crispy brown goodness with a side of truffle sauce. It was simply divine! I opted for the quiche, while another friend chose the French breakfast, and another ordered the egg Benedicts with ham. Each dish was a mouthwatering delight. To complement our meals, we indulged in a variety of coffees, each one more delicious than the last. Then, we arrived at the pièce de résistance--the pan crepes. They were light, flaky, and served with a side of whipped cream, maple syrup, and jam. I couldn't resist having another one! Finally, we were treated to the crème brûlée, a creamy and smooth dessert that left us utterly satisfied. The fact that Le Ame is attached to the Global Ambassador adds an air of elegance and sophistication to the dining experience. I can't wait to return to this culinary gem again and again. read more

We are beyond disappointed with our recent experience at Le Ame. We had a reservation at 7:45 for a big birthday dinner for a family member, and what should have been a joyous occasion turned into a frustrating and embarrassing ordeal. Despite having a reservation, we were forced to wait over 45 minutes to never be seated, while other customers were prioritized ahead of us. To make matters worse, the hostess showed an absolute lack of professionalism by laughing at us during our wait, which only added insult to injury. This behavior is completely unacceptable and disrespectful, especially when we were trying to celebrate a special occasion. When we brought the situation to the attention of the general manager, Michael Elortegui, we expected a prompt and satisfactory resolution. Unfortunately, his handling of the situation was severely lacking. Rather than addressing our concerns, he continued to prioritize other customers, continued to say 3-5 minutes only for another 10 minutes to pass after another 10 minutes to pass up until 45 minutes after our previously booked reservation time -- leaving us feeling neglected and unvalued. This experience was a significant letdown, and it's clear that customer service is not a priority at Le Ame. We won't be returning, and I strongly advise others to think twice before dining here if they value their time and want to be treated with respect. read more

A Wonderful Brunch Experience for the Whole Family We first visited this restaurant for dinner shortly after it opened but hadn't been back in a while. This time, we came with a large group for brunch--and we're so glad we did! The private dining room was absolutely beautiful and perfect for our group, especially with kids in tow. It gave us a great space to enjoy our meal together while letting the little ones move around freely (without our toddler making a great escape!). Our server, Jose, was outstanding--knowledgeable, attentive, and incredibly friendly. The service overall was top-notch, and the food was absolutely delicious. Every dish exceeded our expectations. One of the highlights was the beautiful outdoor area adjacent to the dining space. While we waited for our food, the kids (mostly tweens) went outside to play and do cartwheels. The staff was not only accommodating but genuinely sweet and welcoming to them, which made the experience even more special. From the charming ambiance to the exceptional food and warm, thoughtful service, this brunch was a hit all around. We're so happy we returned and will definitely be back again! read more

My wife and I live in Phoenix and were fortunate to receive an invitation for dinner at Le Ame restaurant at the Globe Ambassador hotel. I had dined prior for lunch so I was looking forward to their dinner experience. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening. The menu offers a host of choices to fit a variety of palates. My whole Dover Sole was cooked to perfection and my wife said her meal was wonderful. The service was excellent. Unobtrusive yet professional and the server was extremely knowledgeable. We were also fortunate to have chosen a particularly good wine. Love their wine choices. It was a busy Friday evening so the volume was on the loud side but I liked the bustle and in no way did it spoil our evening. The decor is classy without being stuffy and every table enjoys a view of both the open kitchen and the beautiful garden. The next morning we decided to have Breakfast/Brunch at Le Ame as well and were delighted with the service, well presented food, all washed down with the not often found and wonderful Billecart-Salmon Champagne. We highly recommend Le Ame Restaurant. read more

Le Âme is located inside a hotel, and while the ambiance is nice and the service overall was friendly, the experience left a lot to be desired. One major issue was with our appetizers -- they were mistakenly delivered to the table next to ours, and one of the guests there touched the food before the staff realized the error and brought it to us. That was incredibly off-putting and honestly, unacceptable. As for the food itself: the baked potato and truffle fries were probably the highlights -- both flavorful and well-prepared. The Paris baguette served with butter and olive oil was also a nice touch. The mac and cheese was just average -- nothing special. Unfortunately, the rest of the meal missed the mark. The steak was overly fatty, and I wouldn't order it again. The wagyu bolognese was especially disappointing -- lacking both in flavor and quality. All in all, despite a few good bites and decent service, the food missteps and the issue with how our appetizer was handled left a bad impression. I wouldn't return. read more

My wife made reservations to celebrate my 69th birthday. The food was very good, and the service was great. We enjoyed ourselves on the outdoor patio. The weather was not bad and they had space heaters to warm the area. Though I had a good time and the food was very good, I will probably not come back. I do not like very loud spaces, especially when I am dining. I miss the days when you could actually speak to the people at your table without having to shout. Couldn't even hear the waiter at our table, and we were outside in the patio. I realize that I am probably not their target market. It seemed to me to be a place for a much younger crowd. If you are looking for a place that is loud, younger people, scantily dressed women, and boisterous men, then this is the place for you. If you do not mind spending $600 for dinner for two, in a place with great food and a very loud atmosphere, then this restaurant is for you. read more

We had such a wonderful experience at Le Âme celebrating my aunt's birthday. From the moment we walked in, everything felt warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully done. The food was absolutely outstanding--beautifully presented and full of flavor. Every dish we ordered was spot on, and you can really tell the kitchen takes pride in what they do. The waitstaff was attentive, friendly, and genuinely made us feel taken care of without ever being intrusive. A special thank you to the GM Brandt who went above and beyond to make the celebration memorable. They surprised my aunt with champagne and desserts, which was such a thoughtful and generous touch. It truly made her feel special. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we'll definitely be back. Highly recommend for a special occasion or just a great night out! read more

Le Ame & Market at The Global Ambassador is an absolute delight that left me buzzing with excitement! The restaurant's aesthetics are simply stunning, The interior design is a masterpiece, transporting you to a foreign haven. The LE PIG on an Everything Croissant was a crispy, buttery masterpiece that had me hooked. Sharing The Americano Burger was a flavor-packed experience. The LE QUICK FIX Shaken Espresso with Vanilla+Hazelnut was a true winner, delivering deliciousness in every sip. While the matcha didn't quite live up to expectations, the overall experience, filled with delectable food and espresso, ensures that I'll be back for more. Le Ame & Market is a brunch must-go-to, offering exceptional flavors and an inviting ambiance that has earned a top spot on my favorites list! read more

The ambiance and overall aesthetic were unparalleled. We kicked off our meal with the seafood tower and crab cakes, both of which were simply flawless. Despite our reservation for 9:30, we weren't seated until 9:55. However, the standout of the evening was undoubtedly the sommelier, whose expertise added an extra layer of enjoyment to our experience. She recommended a remarkable Pinot Noir that I would never have chosen myself. Yet, our disappointment peaked when we discovered that the kitchen closed at 10:00, leaving us unable to order dessert. It's perplexing for a steakhouse to close so early on a Friday night, especially without accommodating guests who were seated late. Ultimately, it's the sommelier's exceptional service that might entice me to return. read more

We came to Le Âme tonight for the steak frites, and it exceeded every expectation! The steak was cooked perfectly, seasoned incredibly well, and absolutely delicious. The unlimited frites are such a great touch--and they were hot, crispy, and impossible to stop eating. The true highlight of our experience, though, was our server, Pedro. His service was truly above and beyond. He was super friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and made us feel genuinely welcome from start to finish. He anticipated what we needed before we even had to ask and made the entire dinner feel special. Between the amazing food and Pedro's outstanding hospitality, we'll definitely be coming back. My first visit to Le Âme was underwhelming. I had a 6:00 p.m. reservation, but my friend and I weren't seated until 6:15. We were placed next to a tray of water glasses that servers constantly accessed--something that felt out of place and disrupted the dining experience. On the positive side, our server was kind and attentive. We ordered two cocktails, the Wagyu Bolognese, mac & cheese, and roasted chicken. Unfortunately, the food was just okay--nothing memorable. Most dishes arrived at room temperature and cooled quickly, which was disappointing given the upscale pricing. For a restaurant aiming for fine dining, the experience fell short. read more

We came to Le Ame to celebrate a friend's birthday and had an unforgettable experience. Our server, Gilbert, was a true gem. His warm welcome, friendly demeanor, and extensive knowledge of the menu made our dining experience exceptional. He was attentive, helpful, and offered excellent recommendations that perfectly suited our tastes. The Tuna Ponzu and Strawberry Basque were simply divine! Visited this beautiful restaurant recently and was nothing short of amazed! The food was delicious! The cacio e pepe Caesar salad is a great way to start your meal. The lobster bucatini and short rib are definitely the way to go! Our server was Gilbert. He knew everything about the menu and made sure we had the best experience possible. I go out a lot and this is definitely one of my new favorite places to eat. I find it hard to believe anyone would leave a negative review. Please don't let that influence your decision to eat at this great establishment. You'll regret it. Thanks Gilbert! read more

An Unforgettable Anniversary Evening at Society Swan: A Five-Course Wine Dinner with Kerr Cellars…read more We had the pleasure of spending a lovely evening at Society Swan, an American Brasserie, celebrating my parents' 46th wedding anniversary with a five-course wine dinner featuring Kerr Cellars. It was a wonderful occasion to bring together family, fine dining, and an appreciation for thoughtfully curated food and wine pairings. The evening featured an impressive menu that balanced seafood, seasonal ingredients, hearty main courses, and an indulgent dessert. Each course was accompanied by a specific wine, creating a structured dining experience that highlighted selections from Napa Valley and Sonoma Coast. The evening began with Maine lobster, served with buttered brioche and Old Bay aioli, paired with a 2025 Sauvignon Blanc from Napa Valley. This opening course established an elegant start to the dinner, combining a classic seafood preparation with a California white wine. Course One: Roasted Sea Bass The roasted sea bass was served with cracked freekeh, Swiss chard, tomato vierge, and rock shrimp butter. It was paired with a 2022 5 Wells Vineyard Chardonnay from Sonoma Coast. The combination of seafood, grains, vegetables, and a butter-based sauce made this a substantial and thoughtfully composed course. Course Two: Fresh Fig Tartlet The second course featured a fresh fig tartlet with aged goat cheese, arugula, and butter-poached almond, accompanied by a 2023 Silver Eagle Vineyard Pinot Noir from Sonoma Coast. The ingredients offered a seasonal direction for the menu, with the Pinot Noir providing a red-wine pairing for this distinctive course. Course Three: Short Rib à la Bourguignonne The main course featured short rib à la Bourguignonne, served with horseradish risotto, crispy Brussels sprouts, and herb bread crumb. It was paired with a 2021 Mast Ranch Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. This was the heartiest course of the evening, bringing together a classic braised beef preparation and a single-vineyard Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Dessert: Black Forest Sticky Toffee Pudding Dessert brought the meal to a decadent conclusion with Black Forest Sticky Toffee Pudding, chocolate toffee sauce, whipped mascarpone, and Luxardo cherries. The accompanying wine was a 2022 Stagecoach Vineyard Syrah from Napa Valley. The dessert offered a rich finish to the five-course menu and rounded out the evening's progression of food and wine. The Kerr Cellars Wine Experience One of the defining features of the dinner was its selection of California wines. The menu included Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah, representing vineyards and wine-growing regions across Napa Valley and Sonoma Coast. Each wine was listed alongside a specific course, making the pairings an integral part of the evening. The progression from white wines to Pinot Noir, followed by Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, gave the dinner a clear structure. For guests who enjoy exploring wine alongside a multi-course menu, this format offers an opportunity to experience a range of varietals throughout a single meal. Celebrating 46 Years of Marriage What made the evening especially meaningful was the reason we were there. Celebrating my parents' 46th wedding anniversary made this more than an ordinary dinner out. It was an opportunity to spend quality time together, mark an extraordinary milestone, and create another special memory as a family. Society Swan provided the setting for the occasion, while the five-course menu and Kerr Cellars wine selections gave the celebration a distinctive fine-dining focus. Final Review Society Swan's five-course wine dinner with Kerr Cellars was a memorable choice for celebrating my parents' 46th wedding anniversary. The menu featured a diverse selection of dishes, from Maine lobster and roasted sea bass to short rib à la Bourguignonne and Black Forest Sticky Toffee Pudding. The accompanying wines showcased several well-known California varietals from Napa Valley and Sonoma Coast. The combination of a multi-course menu, curated wine pairings, and a special family occasion made this a lovely evening to remember. A beautiful way to celebrate 46 years of love, family, and lasting memories. Society Swan and Kerr Cellars provided a fitting backdrop for a meaningful anniversary dinner, and it was a pleasure to share the occasion with my parents. Here's to celebrating love, creating memories, and enjoying many more special evenings together!

The cozy, intimate comfort of what used to be Coup des Tartes blended seamlessly with the deep, peaceful, gentle "love" you felt from House of Tricks into one calm, warm, easy spot. Farish House is a real, soul-warming experience across the board. The service, care, comfort, ambience, food, value and clear love they put into everything make Farish House our new favorite place. We walked through the front gate, up onto the front porch and inside where we took one of three small tables in the cozy front salon of this soul-warming 1899 French Bistro. *Food: we started with a bottle of Australian Cab. Shockingly good. And not crazy expensive, especially on Thursday when bottles are 30% off, it was an amazing deal. Turns out, the owner, Greg, was in the wine distribution business for several decades, curating wine programs for top Valley restaurants, so he really knows his stuff and their vast wine selection is amazing. We were offered a basket of truffle popcorn, mmm, salty, crunchy, and rich. We ordered the Chef's Selection Charcuterie and Warm Noble Baguette & Marinated Olives to get started. Both were beautifully curated, balanced, and incredibly high quality. The flavors and textures blended perfectly. with cheeses broken from large wheels, rather than cut and sliced, house-made pickled grapes, unique and unusual ingredients, smokey meats, compound butters, just awesome! We then moved into one of the cozy dining rooms and ordered the slow roasted Peposo Short Ribs and fingerling potatoes pan fried in duck fat served with Moroccan spiced aioli. Both were rich, warm and delicious. For dessert, and yes we thought we'd explode from all this food, we ordered a massive slice of bread pudding, some of the best I've ever had, rich, gooey and incredible. Along with that we ordered a beautiful Espresso Martini and an off-menu banana cream martini. Their drinks are not "poured" or mixed here, they're balanced and expertly crafted. This is French Bistro comfort food at its finest and it's unmistakeable. *Service: it just doesn't get better. Everyone working there is "family". And that's how they make you feel; like family, cared for, wanted, welcomed. Service isn't a choreographed masterpiece, no tuxedos, cloths draped over arms, napkins frantically re-folded when you step away, dishes served and cleared in unison. No, it's relaxed, warm, friendly, kind, like being at your grandmothers house and knowing you're surrounded by people who care. Met Greg and Katherine, the owners, and their daughter Alexandra and several other "family" members taking care of us. Their appreciation for your presence is unmistakable. *Ambience: it's just plain comfy, cozy, easy, relaxed, warm, deep, gentle, worn (in a good way), wise, and calm, that's the best I can describe it. Hard wood floors, cozy rooms, soft, warm lighting. It's a non-pretentious, French bistro that feels like the home of a favorite grandma or great aunt living in a warm family cottage in the outskirts of Paris. *Value: it's perfect. It's not ridiculously expensive like Kai, Brinkley's, Cafe Monarch, Christopher's, or French Laundry where you go, "okay, that was fun but we'll only do this very occasionally/rarely and it's probably worth it, but dang that was pricey!" No, Farish House is 100% value to experience, not cheap, but not overpriced, the balance is just right. It's a place you can go often, and we will. Yes, our meal with apps, drinks and dessert, some on happy hour and the Thursday wine special, was around $200. I'd happily say this experience was worth every penny. *Overall: I can't recommend Farish House highly enough. Parking is on the street or in a nearby lot, and that's a downtown thing. There's a small lot in back. The food, ambience, service, quality, and experience were stellar. I wish I could rate them 6 stars instead of just 5. I'll return often and highly recommend Farish House to everyone. I genuinely hope you enjoy as much as we did!

We choose Dominick's to celebrate a special Anniversary, and as big steak lovers, it seemed like the ideal choice while we were in the area. We were greeted with anniversary wishes and escorted to our table on the 2nd floor, where a card from the staff/manager was waiting for us. Those thoughtful details matter, and they gave the evening a great start. It was definitely a busy night, but the open-air setting, wading pool view, and overall atmosphere were great. We were seated between a large birthday party and a very loud family. That was beyond the restaurant's control, and we didn't let it ruin our celebration. What could have been controlled was the pace. Everything felt rushed, with items being hurried to the table and little time to settle in, ask questions, or fully enjoy each part of the meal. Our first round of drinks immediately raised concerns. Before we could even toast, we noticed lipstick marks on the Dirty Martini glass. When we mentioned something being in and on the glass, the initial response was that it came from the olives. We had to point out the lipstick again. That was a major buzzkill and made us question the drink & cleanliness. The bread arrived quickly, but it was cold, and most of the Parmesan seemed to have missed the bread. Again... slow down. A fine-dining experience shouldn't feel like a sprint. We also tried the sliced Yukon potatoes. Based on the description, I expected something different and wasn't impressed with what arrived. However, the accompanying sauce was dope... I may need a side of that on it's own. I'll hold myself accountable for stepping outside my usual steak order. I tried to get a feel by asking questions but got nothing to help... felt like a "whatever you get, you get.. and I'm getting my tip". Sorry... that's how it made me feel! I chose the bone-in Kansas City strip instead of the filet I was originally considering. It was cooked to the correct temperature, but the steak itself didn't impress me. I kept thinking that I should have gone with the filet. Dominick's has an impressive atmosphere, and we appreciated the anniversary touches. Unfortunately, the rushed pacing, glass cleanliness, and a few underwhelming food items kept the experience from feeling as special as it should have been for us. Slowing down and paying closer attention to the details would have made a major difference for us and earned a higher rating. My recommendation: when you come, make sure you're not feeling rushed... move at your pace and if not happy, let the management team know.
