The server was ok, he stuffed tge ice cream into the bowl which ks great, but he barely put any PB & Whipped. I had to ask for more. When there is no room in the bowl, and you eat the top down, you basically have no topping for 90% of your Also had no napkins?? Go down the store and buy some. Such a cute local creamery. It's conveniently located near Garvey Playground so street parking is abundant. You can't miss it with how eye-catching the tropical decor is. I ended up getting their smallest scoop which was a tad pricey and too large (would be nice if they had a smaller size available) but the ice-cream was delicious. Very creamy and flavorful. You can also pick three different flavors in a small which is great. They don't skimp on the add-ins and toppings. Would recommend giving them a try if you're in the area :) read more

Huge fan of the chocolate chip cookie sandwich, it's absolutely delicious. Daughter is gluten free and they always swap out the serving scoop to a clean one when asked. Not a big deal for them but something we truly appreciate. The serving sizes are generous. Vibes always high in this little hidden gem. It's been our go to since it opened. I originally put up a bad review and I'm ashamed for doing so. I misunderstood the menu and thought all the flavors were available. Leave it to my luck that all the flavors I picked weren't being served today. I jumped the gun and if you read my previous post please disregard whatever I wrote.I wouldn't have cared so much, but was in trouble w my wife and those were all flavors she would've liked. It was the first heat wave day of the summer, so obviously we had to get some ice cream! I got a split single scoop ($5.99) of the chocolate banana and the black raspberry chip - no extra cost to get 2 flavors! The chocolate banana was SO good, the two flavors go so well together. I also loved the black raspberry chip, the chips were the thin, crunchy chocolate shavings that I love vs. your typical chocolate chip shape. I think it makes for better eating experience. The little rope swings in the creamery were so cute and fun, and the outdoor patio on the side of the building would be a nice place to enjoy the ice cream on a more temperate day. I will definitely be back to try more flavors and get my ice cream fix - Lazy Bear is a great addition to the Dorchester area! read more

Great little spot located conveniently next to Garvey Playground. The ice cream was thick and creamy and the millennial vibes were fun. There was a nice variety of flavors but we stuck with raspberry Oreo and strawberry which were both delicious. The portion sizes were decent for the price and the swings were fun to eat on. Wow, amazing ice cream!!! Came here on a hot summer day - line was pretty long outside but moved somewhat quickly, took us about 15 minutes to get in. The employees were quick and generous with samples even with a long line, and they were super efficient. There was a huge range of flavors and the ice cream was rich and flavorful. Super cute creamery, decorated very nicely! Nice variety of flavors, some with unique names as well! Staff was really nice and patient while I was struggling to decide what flavor I wanted . I went with one scoop of the tsunami which was vanilla ice cream with brownie, chocolate chips, and fudge pieces. It was really yummy! Nice flavor and texture. Ordered a medium of 2 different flavors. This was what I got. For $8, I'd expect it to be a little more robust in the portion. It didn't come close to filling the cup and as you can see, the flavor on top was basically one large spoonful. The ice cream itself was tasty but the portion was meager. There was actually a cheese pull effect to it which is due to the premium butter fat content?? Or something like that. The amazing owner told us all about it and he grew up down the street! We're hooked on Lazy Bear! We found out they get their ice cream from Nona's Homemade Ice Cream (Hingham) which is one of my all-time favorites, so this is a closer alternative for us! We love the unique flavors and oreo combinations. The staff is always incredibly friendly and considerate, asking "which flavor would you like on the bottom?" when you get two scoops, and offering the dogs a pup cup (with homemade whipped cream). Probably the best ice cream I've ever had. Will take a good deal of self restraint to not go here often. My kids love it here just as much. Wow, I never realized how few ice cream shops in the city there are. I am so excited to have found this gem of a spot. Everyone was extremely friendly and great vibes all around. We enjoyed the indoor swing and decor of the place. But of course the ice cream was clearly homemade and phenomenal. They had great flavors, some great classics for kids like cotton candy, bubble gum, and a concoction of vanilla with gummy bears, chocolate chip, and sprinkles. Yum!
