    Ferrero Rocher Cupcake

Cute and spacious store! Many options for cakes and cupcakes, with the cakes being very beautiful. The Ferrero rocher cupcake was really good as the frosting was soft but not too overtly sweet

I may have found my new favorite cupcake. Chanced upon this place while working and I couldn't help but stopped by. I wanted to buy everything but settled for 6 cupcakes. They are all delicious, moist and the frosting is divine! I will trek to Astoria to get these cupcakes again. I will definitely try the other stuff too. Service was great. The ambience of the store is homey.

Mom and Pop shop that has a couple of locations scattered around New York City. The store is nice and bright what a good display of all their goodies. If you want cake though, please note that they do not sell slices though they do have an item where it's cake in a cup. I tried Cadberry milk cake and it's pretty rich and moist without being too sweet. I find that more American style bakeries tend to have a frosting that's pure sugar and this is, still sweet, but not sickly so. Prices are very reasonable, and the staff was very friendly.

I've always wanted to try the LI location so I was super excited when I heard they opened up in Astoria! I am a rainbow cookie fanatic AND THEY MAKE THEIR OWN ICE CREAM & guess what flavor they happened to have??? I decided to get one pint of rainbow cookie flavor and one pistachio flavor! They both were pretty good! I believe they are open till midnight so that's a bonus for those with late night cravings like myself hehehe I will definitely come back to try the other desserts! Welcome to Astoria!

Absolutely delicious Birthday Cake ! Ordered Red Velvet - 8" layer cake. My husband is a chef and he was blown away by the flavor and moistness of cake and the frosting / filling ! Me too ! I am picky about cakes and this one was awesome ! The owner worked with me on decoration : Golden Lab , and it came out perfect!! Communication was excellent and he was patient with my questions. It was rather last minute and he worked with me so I was able to pick it up exactly when I needed it. I will be ordering again and can't wait to try a chocolate cake.

Layers was marketed as Astoria's only Pakistani bakeshop, so we were eager to try it out after lunch at a nearby pizzeria. What we found on display was disappointing, short on options and quality. We ordered some small chocolate pastries, which you can see in my photo. They were rock-hard and not worth the money. I don't think we will be back!

This is a great addition to Astoria, glad I finally got to try it and all I can say is WOW! So far I only tried 2 brownies and they're not regular brownies, they're out of this world! The malt one is my favorite, the Nutella one is really good too, they're both super moist and delicious. The inside is very clean and modern, the staff is very nice and service was quick! Next time you're craving something chocolate-y this is the spot!

Love this place! Flavors are great! The galaxy cup is all the flavors you want in a dessert. You also get so much texture...the chocolate is perfect. Cupcakes are delicious the star is the frosting! The brownies...WOW. My favorite...the blondies! Great chew and flavor!

Other bakeries in the area are better. Their "brownies" are just layer cake, and the cake tastes like something I can make from a box.

I decided to try their Coconut Pandan cake which was enjoyable except for the jelly they had in the middle. The cake itself was pretty moist and the cream had a nice Pandan flavor. The Portuguese egg tart is what you would expect from one of these bakery's, very basic but it was nice and flaky. The milk tea was also okay, we asked for less sugar so it was not too sweet. We also got the sesame mochi to go and this was delicious! Definitely the best thing I bought from this bakery. The sesame paste was nice and strong but not too gritty and the mochi was super soft. I have to go back to grab another when I get the chance!

Not impressed with their chicken sandwiches for they were hard and there is tendon in one other chicken sandwich has area that was not edible. The quality definitely not what it use to be here. There were lots of seats and tables for patrons to sit. Notice less foot traffic at this store.

A friend recommended it to me, and I've already ordered two birthday cakes from here. The tiramisu cake was absolutely delicious, honestly one of the best I've ever had. I didn't even know you could customize a tiramisu cake since it's usually served the traditional way, but they made it exactly how I wanted. As someone who loves tiramisu, this really stood out. I also ordered a strawberry shortcake, and it was just as impressive. The buttercream was so good , light, flavorful, and not overly sweet. Everyone loved it, and there wasn't a single slice left. The owner's son (I believe) was super helpful, he really takes the time to understand what you want and brings it to life perfectly. I've also tried their croissants, which are huge and delicious, and the hero bread is excellent too. Just a heads-up: they only accept cash.I'll definitely be ordering all my cakes from here moving forward!

It has actually been a while since I've had it and my friend made a special request specifically for strawberry shortcake for her 50th birthday. Du Bois for the first place that came to mind. Took a quick look online from pics from previous customers and was surprised to see the number of different designs they can do now. I picked this pink flower one that the owner made out of fondant and it was so pretty and exceeded my expectations. There was no additional charge at all. Back in the days....40 years ago, there was one style I remember getting and it was white cream with strawberries. Now there's so many you can pick from. The birthday girl was so happy with the design. I ordered a 20 person cake. There were 2 choices-round or sheet cake. Round is $60 which is what I opted for since I thought it looked prettier and the sheet cake is $50. The round cake actually came out very tall but gorgeous. Harder to cut too since it was taller. The owner was so nice. He custom made the top of the cake box to make sure the cake fit and doesn't get damaged. The fresh cream on the cake is so good. Not too sweet and very light. Perfect with the strawberries. The cake part was moist and yummy. I forgot how much I love this cake. All the nostalgic memories of eating it when I was younger came back. Honestly, I think it's even better than I remember. And the price was so reasonable for such a beautifully decorated cake.

Their hot milk tea is a cozy, comforting drink that warms the soul. Fay Da's milk tea may still hold the title for my favorite, but Yi Mei's version is a very close contender. The sponge cake? A pleasant surprise. Despite some folks claiming the bread isn't fresh, I've never really had a negative experience with them. But then again, I only get the sponge cake and I can't differentiate fresh vs not fresh between them (I'll just assume that if it's NOT fresh, I would have been able to tell). For ethnic places like Yi Mei, I don't put much weight on service standards. Comparing them to American restaurants would be like comparing apples to oranges. What truly matters is the authenticity and the food quality, and Yi Mei nails both. So, if you find yourself in the area with a rumbling stomach, swing by Yi Mei Bakery.
