I had ordered the Chicken Biscuit Buddy for delivery before and loved it. Had to go in person to experience fresh and it did not disappoint! Excellent flavors and really filling. It was full on a Saturday early afternoon but we got a table (probably because it was cold out so on a regular weather day, it's probably way more packed). Atmosphere is cool with like a grunge diner feel. You order at the kiosk or cashier and they'll call out when your order it ready. You can serve yourself water from a pitcher and I like how they have bottles of Mikes Hot Honey that you can grab yourself. Overall, Will be stopping by whenever I'm in the area
Rating: 8/10 Date Last Visited: 8/10/2025 I ordered the Freaky Friday ($14). The chicken sandwich is a remake of the Big Mac, but with fried chicken instead of beef patties. The idea is creative and the execution was quite flawless. The chicken was fried very well, the bun was crispy, and the cheese and lettuce represented the Big Mac image well. However, it was hard to eat practically since there's no way you can bite all of it at once, so I split it into two sandwiches but one only had one bun. The taste is great too; not the best chicken sandwich I had, but definitely a solid sandwich. The rest of the menu seemed pretty creative and this is a nice spot for sandwiches. Overall, I would recommend considering the price and taste.

Then came the tater tots with parmesan + truffle oil... listen, if you haven't had tots fancy enough to wear a tux, you're missing out. Then the Dropkick Murphy sandwich straight-up hit me like a chair at a wrestling match: 2 fried eggs, bulgogi beef, tots INSIDE the sandwich, melted cheese, all on a Kaiser roll. That's not breakfast, that's a life choice. But wait, the Nashville Hot Fried Chicken Sandwich--bro, they DUNK the chicken in sauce. Not drizzle, not brush... full baptism. Hands down, the BEST chicken sandwich in Queens. Game. Changed. And because my self-control filed for early retirement, I finished with the Rainbow Cookie Crumb Cake--layers of jam, crumbs, and pure chaos. Queens-level comfort food, no apologies. I can't believe it's been three years since my last review. I come here like every other week now and have been for the last several years. You will find the wackiest savory and sweet items here from shakes, to cakes and pop tarts, to monstrous sandwiches and sides. There's a whole vegan menu as well that is SOLID. I do wish they had more vegetarian specials because man those non veg special look fireeee but you can always sub out the meat for the vegan meat! Their vegetarian sandwiches though are some of the best around no cap. If these guys ever went for halal meat, I think it would actually be over for me. I do have to say though after having tried a few of their donut over the years, just skip. I find them to taste super strongly of oil and they're expensive as hell. Go for their cannoli rainbow cakes instead or their shakes if you want something sweet! There's indoor seating again now (yay) and a bathroom. I appreciate they also have jugs of water out so you can help yourselves. There's also a kiosk to order inside or you can order at the counter.
Wowzers. The food choices were so creative and a significant amount correlated to movies. There was a movie playing on the projector, the music was old school 80s, the toys on display were 80s n 90s! The decor was trippy! The staff informed us that on Sundays they have a live DJ! My milk shake was yummy, I got the half baked! C u for brunch! The place was a WHOLE vibe!
Love this place, amazing food, wonderful employees. I always get the rainbow cookie crumb cake for my bday. Recently had the Thanksgiving eggrolls which were amazing. You won't be disappointed, they're chicken sandwich is so good also.
EASY 5 stars. They captured that "American comfort" vibe perfectly. You walk in and you're greeted by decorations reminiscent of classic American homes, with old school hip hop playing. And then comes the Graceland, which is a hot fried chicken sandwich that happens to be the best I've had by far in new york. So so big for it's price, and every bite was amazing. Great service too!
Second time ordering takeout, and their chicken strips are huge! You can tell they are hand-breaded. I ordered the Freaky Friday chicken burger and could not finish it (good for two meals), great crunch, sauce (think Big Mac), also ordered the Chopped Cheese empanadas and truffle Parmesan tots! Always fantastic lunch!
i'm not sure why it took me so long to finally try comfortland but i'm glad i did. their prices are great! the menu changes weekly for specials which is awesome if you always want to try something new. it seems like they will bring back old items if enough people demand it. the gentleman who served us made sure everything we got was good and perfect. we had the everything tots, the mac and cheese balls, drop kick murphy and chicken biscuit buddy. the mac and cheese balls were very flavorful, and the everything bagel seasoning definitely made the tots stand out. out of the two sandwiches, we enjoyed the chicken one most. honestly, we were enticed mostly by the breakfast items, it was hard to choose. now i will say, i regret not trying the arnold palmer slushie so i gotta come back to try that. i cant wait to return! side note: i'm obsessed with the wizards of oz feast mural

Everything I've had at Comfortland was good but this particular day I just went for their chopped cheese empanadas. The chopped cheese is something I order no matter what else I order from them. It's so good and I also had the Arnold Palmer slushy that was so refreshing. If you haven't stopped by yet, please do. You won't b disappointed.
unique menu, massive portions, and everything is delicious. got the space jam which was so good i want to get it again if i go back even though there are so many other interesting things on the menu. great service - might take some time for them to make your food but its well worth the wait.
Another great trip to Comfortland. Any time I come to Astoria I try to come here. They have an awesome vegan menu. This time I tried the midnight mass burger. Would definitely recommend and the price is right!
I went to Comfortland with a friend of mine and was quite hungry and I must say, Comfortland truly does have generous portions at a very reasonable price. First and foremost, the staff including Carl are absolutely awesome and take hospitality to the next level without being overbearing. Second, the food is awesome. My friend and I ordered one too many items (everything on the menu looks fantastic, it's not my fault)! and everything was solid. My favorite has to be the chicken tinga quesadilla and the chopped cheese empanadas. The fried green tomato sandwich and chicken tenders are also great but I feel the menu has more interesting things worthy of trying. To top off the meal, my friend and I shared a banana cruller that was perfect (puts those crullers that I had at DD growing up to shame). All in all, I'll definitely be back and am glad they have seating now from the last time I visited several years back!

Update is needed because they have the Kerri Gold donuts. Is it like biting into butter? Yes! Am I mad about it? Nope! Not in the slightest. And when I saw that they were there after ordering my Three Card Monte Sandwich, I was comforted at the fact that they were able to let me purchase at the register and was able to pack it with my original order. I love this place. I love the fun vibe. But most of all, the food is outrageous but also over the moon delicious. Pro tip: Get the Arnold Palmer slushie. I literally need to get it every time. Especially when it's hot out. read more

I wanted to like comfortland more, but I think I unfortunately went on an off day! The meatballs in my vodka meatball hero were a bit cold, and the Truffle parm tots had too much Truffle oil. That said, the vodka sauce on the sando itself was good, Truffle tots were a great value, and of course the oreo milkshake was divine. I'd give them another shot because I do see the potential, and the staff was friendly! read more

The place DEFINITELY did not disappoint! I ordered the Freaky Friday Jr Meal. Just the right portion size for what I was looking for. I don't know how I felt about the cake. It looked delicious but was giving, weird after taste. All and all, I can't wait to try the other items on the menu when I come back to NY. read more

First things first: the food was hot and delicious, the portions were generous, the service was friendly and efficient (reasonable amount of patience required as food is made to order), the ambiance had selective appeal - cozy, colorful, creative, but had a slightly unfinished look with a large sheet covering one window, and art, figurines and memorabilia that were more eclectic than cohesive. Four stars instead of five because most of what we were craving was not available. I did not realize this but the menu changes daily. My fam and I were drawn from the Bronx to the land of comfort by the amazing desserts and sandwiches we saw on the menu but the day we went, most of what we'd had in mind was not being served (no lobster sandwiches, hardly any bakery items - they only had rainbow cake, an ice cream sandwich and some milkshake selections on the dessert menu) so maybe call ahead to make sure the things your heart is set on are actually being served that day. But what we did order was top notch. Truffle fries and tots, the Graceland hot honey chicken sandwich (more spicy than sweet but, if you can take it, delicious), the voodoo Tiger (another chicken sandwich with avocado and red onions- a total hit with my mom) a couple of lemonades and the chopped cheese empanadas (comes with two) With a call ahead, I recommend and will likely go back again. read more

Does this place call themselves "Comfort"land with how well their food settles into your stomach? Because it sure as heck does!!! Super lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and amazing food!!! I came after work a few nights ago to pick up an order for my family! We've since ordered from here twice because of the overwhelming positive experience! My go to is the Freaky Friday Chicken Burger with truffle fries! It's so rich, tasty and leaves you (and I can not stress this enough) comfortably full! I also love that they have overwhelming amount of vegan options for those with dietary restrictions in our family! Absolutely wonderful! If you're looking for a unique swing on burgers, please give this spot a chance! It deserves all the attention it can get! read more
Ordered: Acapulco Gold (~$11): 2 eggs, avocado, hashbrown, American cheese, and chipotle mayo on a poppy brioche bun Aya's take: It was my first day back in the US after a month of traveling and I wanted a New York breakfast. I thought of Comfortland immediately and found myself here with the Acapulco Gold. The poppy brioche bun is definitely unique and although it looks thick, it was quite soft and soaked up a lot of the flavors. Despite this, I still think the ratio of bread to everything else was a bit off. I would've rather had this on a roll or in a wrap. The flavors were spot on. All the ingredients meshed well from the crispiness of the hashbrown to the freshness of the avocado to the slight spiciness of the chipotle mayo. Solid breakfast sandwich overall! read more

Some friends brought us over to Comfortland for brunch and it was a fun experience. Ordering at the window is a neat, unique experience. We decided to eat inside. It's quite a loaded menu. Some items seemed so over-the-top, but they're not as crazy as they first appear. I landed on The Old Boy. Flavors were delicious, and oversized, but not too unwieldy. The only thing that threw me a little was I couldn't tell if the meat was ground beef or thinly sliced meat that was chopped SUPER fine because of how small the pieces were. For a drink, I got a malted cold brew. I've had other malted coffees and this didn't disappoint. Right up there with the best ones. read more
I loved Queens Comfort and I am thrilled that we are still able to enjoy some of their sincerely genius culinary creations. I've been following them on Instagram and had been craving one of their Painkiller Slushies and let me tell you, it was everything I had hoped for and more. The Black Friday Chicken Sandwich was awesome with the crispiest, yet moist snd tender fried chicken cutlet snd topped with stuffing, apple slaw, and a cranberry relish. Amazing. I also really enjoyed the Babka muffin and could eat it daily for breakfast lol. The captain crunch French toast balls were good but not as divine as the Captain Crunch Chicken that I miss at Queens Comfort. Another really cool aspect of Comfort Land is their collaboration with Donut Diva NY and Sweet Patrice and some of the desserts are drool worthy when seen posted. Sadly, when my friend and I went, they were out of all the desserts we had wanted but one day, I'll get to try some of them...probably sooner than later!! read more
Me and my girlfriend got a reservation to have brunch at Comfortland, and I have to say, it was easily one of my favorite dining experiences I've ever had. The staff was so warm and friendly. They took care of everything we needed, and really personalized the experience for every guest. They were even playfully interacting with a toddler at the table next to us. They really made it feel like a big family party or something. Plus, they had a live DJ, playing some great atmospheric music that really set the mood for the meal. And on top of all that, the food was on a totally different level. Definitely show up hungry if you can get reservations for one of these brunches. As our waiter said "It's a substantial feast." Every bite was incredible. An absolute must if you come to New York City. You will not be disappointed. read more

This place is always fun to visit. They also have a live dj playing his sets. James always ask don't want a joke.... Mild or spicy. A true gem for the area. One of my favorite places to eat. The Freaky Friday is one of my favs. But I also like to try new specials every time is see them. read more

My boyfriend ordered dinner on a rainy evening. It is a tier up from fast food but similar. Everything tasted really good!! We tried Freaky Friday and the Summer Slam Grilled Chicken Sandwich. The Freaky Friday is like a double fried chicken patties and really good! The Summer Slam was spicier than expected. Because of the chipotle aioli sauce, the hero/bread isn't crispy, but I didn't think it was too soggy, as other reviews say. I really liked the fries. They had a fun shape and they had that inner softness I like. My boyfriend and I also tried the rainbow cookie crumb cake. It was good, but I prefer the rainbow cookies from bakeries themselves, rather than the cake version. I couldn't taste the jam that strongly. Overall I enjoyed having takeout from here. Definitely hits the spot if you're looking for junk food (not very healthy options here)! read more

Definitely one of the places I miss since moving out of Astoria! They offer both indoor and outdoor seatings. They also have tons of vegan options! Comfortland blessed my girlfriend and I with a hearty meal on an otherwise dreary, rainy day. If you're looking to indulge yourself and throw health out the window for a minute, this is the place to go. The Freaky Friday was legit and exactly as advertised. If you like Big Macs, you'll really like this sandwich. And the chicken was still crispy even after delivery, which took around 30 minutes. The Summer Slam Grilled Chicken Sandwich and Rainbow Cookie Crumb Cake are great choices too. Thank you, Comfortland, for bringing us comfort when we needed it most. read more
This place is elevated comfort food. Inexpensive and absolutely wonderful. I've had so many menu items and they're all bangers. Mcgruffin biscuit sandwich is an all timer so is the freaky Friday (fried chicken Big Mac) for lunch. Great coffee. Friendly and fast service. Love the jokes. And nice seating options for dining in.
