Stacked Italian hero
Betty C.

I was craving an Italian hero so I went to Stacked. I ordered the largest size intending to share with my hubby. The server had no idea what was in an Italian sub so she looked it up. By the time everything was added in - Genoa Salami, Sweet Capicola, Mortadella and Provolone- it was over $20. I forgot to ask for oil and vinegar so the sandwich was quite dry. In the end, I only ate 1/4 because it was huge! I think I should've gone with the muffelatta.

This is the mini! It can easily feed 2 people.

It's just one of those places you want to keep for yourself but know you need to share it. Stacked offers a great selection of sandwiches and salads along with build your own options. The staff is super friendly and accommodating if you would like suggestions or substitutions they are happy to help. Cute sub shop feel but heads up: pick-up only, no spot to eat.

Tuna & cheese crunch sandwiches

Tried the tuna here and the sandwich was massive which is lovely. It had a nice crunch to it with the chips inside. Service was friendly. Nice neighborhood spot.

I've ordered here couple of times more than my health allows me. It was THAT addicting! The memorable ones were The Stacked OG, The Angel, the Devil. I think any sandwich can be made into a "stacked - 14" sandwich." One sandwich can feed me two meals (literally), that's how big it is! Definitely recommend this place for anyone who wants a sub!

Italian hottie

I ordered thru UberEats. I got the Italian Hottie (January specialty sandwich) and some chips. Arrived quickly and well packaged. It was sooooo good. I can't believe it took me so long to try this spot and I can't wait to try other things.

Unreal Steak Stacked - DELICIOUS

I finally got a chance to come back to this gem but this time I brought my daughter along with me. I ordered a vegan steak again because it was AMAZING and my daughter ordered a build your own turkey, bacon club. All of the staff here are so attentive and nice the sandwiches are huge no matter what size you get, they all taste really good. They have so many drink options as I mentioned before one thing I did notice but didn't get to try before was the cold salads. My daughter got a chicken salad and I got the macaroni salad, Delicious. I did not have to add anything to my salad I felt that it was seasoned well. I have to come back and try another sandwich soon!!!!

Stacked and ready to go! I would like to thank Yelp Community Manager Samantha for recommending me this sandwich spot. Wow! These sandwiches are amazing! They also come in 3 different sizes that feed 1, 1 to 2 and 3 people. I ordered the signature "Stacked OG" that feeds up to 3. The sandwich includes ham, salami, turkey, roast beef, provolone, mortadella, American cheese, and an assortment of veggies. The relishes they add to the sandwiches make them extra yummy. I watched them prepare my sandwich and when they handed it to me. I felt like I was cradling a football and had the urge to strike that quintessential Heisman trophy pose with my sandwich nestled safely against my body, out of my way while I run it in for a sandwich touchdown! The sandwich shop is called Stacked for a reason. They pile it on thick. So unless you can stretch your jaws out like a hungry python, I recommend you flatten it out with your palm or cut it into slices to give your mouth less of a workout. To find parking in the area is a nightmare. Stacked is located a few doors down by the 112th police precinct, so all the street parking in the immediate area are earmarked for the police department and authorized vehicles only. Our vehicles are not authorized, other than authorized to be towed if you park there. Park further away and walk over. They also make custom salad bowls and other yummy sandwich combinations. It's definitely work the trip if you love subs. It's a delicious sandwich that doesn't skimp on portions and made with quality provisions. I highly recommend it!

The Devil

STACKED is keeping the NYC sandwich experience alive by and although seemingly easy to make at home, we all don't always have every ingredient to make an ordinary sandwich - extraordinary, exciting and unique. No yelling over the counter necessary, behind you is a massive menu board and paper trifold menus at the counter. I was impressed with the Italian meats of prosciutto, my favorite cold cutt, capicole, mortadella, pepperoni and more. The sandwiches are stacked as the name states, so prepared your jaws to do a large mouth bass impersonation as you clamp down on the Italian bread like a boa constrictor drawing it in ever nearer. The chain locations never can compare to a single store operation and the top names are overpriced and about the world's worst customer service. SUBWAYs and tuna fish isn't from an actual tuna nor is their chicken salad from a chicken - gosh I love banging on that shop. Blimpies isn't much better nor different with breads and cold cuts setups looking like carbon copies with no depth of flavor. Break the chain and stop in to your local sandwich shop. Finding parking could cause you some troubles, but with a little patience and the willingness to walk a bit, you'll be able to have yourself a absolutely delicious hero sandwich at an extremely good price.

Stacked OG Hero

I really enjoy Stacked. The OG sandwich was killer. Heavy on the meats (check), heavy on the meats (check), heavy on the meats (check), tasty and delicious (double check). The bagels and pastry's-- I'm pretty confident I have tried them all at this point. My favorite bagel: cinnamon ray-ray. The everything bagel is good, and so is the plain. The Apple Turnovers and Cheese Danish are good. The muffins are all good as well, but I recommend toasting the corn and buttering it up! I go totes mcgotes for their overnight oats. Seriously, I dream about them. They have PB&J oats--yum,yum! Apple Cinnamon oats--yum,yum! Chocolate Strawberry oats--yum,yum! Have you ever wanted to bathe in overnight oats? You should bathe your tastebuds in these. As you can see, I'm a big fan of this place. I've had some other stuff as well, but in general they're great. Give them a try!

Half the monster. Stacked OG

I saw this place around a while and it getting some buzz on Yelp. I made a mental note to try it, but figuring Queens has so many great sandwich shops and delis I thought for sure this place is comparable to so many other places. Boy was I wrong... When I got my order and felt the weight of the bag I thought to myself "Damn, my delivery person biked with this? She got an extra workout today!". My Stacked OG was protruding out of the bag - too large to be contained. I also ordered the Jerk Chicken Caesar Hero and thought they wrapped BOTH sandwiches together, but when I saw it sitting in the bottom of the bag I knew I was wrong. When I whipped out my sandwich I had to get a tape measure to see how long and girthy this bad boy was.. a bit over a foot and a circumference even larger. Stuffed with layers upon layers of meat. How the hell do you eat this thing?! I only managed a quarter (I could make 4 meals out of this). I tried some later and It actually tasted a little better after it sat in fridge for a while - the flavors come together more. When you put it in the fridge make sure to use a leak proof container - a lot of liquid came out not sure if that is the oil and vinegar or meat sweats, but be warned. The Jerk Chicken Caesar hero wasn't as stuffed as the Stacked OG, which made it more manageable and easier to eat. I tried a bite, but not my thing. If you are a size queen (What is the gender neutral term for this? lol) then this is the sandwich spot for you! Call a friend to help you polish one of these off!

THE RUEBEN this is not even a Reuben. They should consider renaming this faux sandwich lol

Every staff member was super young--barely legal or not even. Every interaction felt like staff were practicing their lines, playing a role in a play, and us, customers, were just cast. Waiters and buss boys were speaking to us like we were dumb/deaf/on the spectrum/high/drunk. It was so disconcerting. Never had such weird experience. Made me so uncomfortable. We were the first ones in the door with 11am reservation on a Saturday. The place filled up quickly. High noise level. Not the best for large groups. The burgers sell out quickly, as only 68 are prepared daily, so we snagged those right away. So delicious. Double smashed cheeseburger--simple and satisfying. Very rich. Would return for this again. French toast was disappointing. Looked pretty but tasted of nothing. It wasn't French toast in a traditional preparation: it was bread pudding cut into a slice and drizzled with syrup and served French toast style. The texture was of a moist but bland bread pudding. Utterly disappointing. Skip. War potatoes (crispy potatoes that are served as a side, with a dollop of super spicy sauce) were very tasty. Double or triple fried to a crispy perfection. Love me some perfectly crisp potatoes. These are super caloric, so prepare for some heartburn after. Ask for war sauce on the side because it is SPICY. House made pistachio gelato was superb. So many pistachios--I'd eat this daily and would return for this!

Absolutely lives up to the hype!…read more The pastrami is insanely tender like melt in your mouth kind of good. The sandwich is definitely messy, but that's how you know it's done right when its packed and stacked with meat! Even with a line out the door, the guys behind the counter cutting the meat are friendly and keep things moving. They even hand out samples while you wait, which makes the whole experience feel welcoming (and honestly makes the wait easier).

The fries are steak fries, which I don't typically love but it worked well as a vehicle for the pastrami. The corned beef is a bit dry. We had some pierogies but these were superrrr oily. We also ordered a matzoh ball soup because I've never had it before. But the second I saw them microwave it in a plastic container, I knew I had made a mistake. It was basically just a matzoh ball in very salty chicken bouillon water. I'm sad that was my first matzoh ball soup experience but am not deterred from finding a real one elsewhere. Based on my previous visit and this one, it seems like you should just stick to a classic pastrami sandwich. It's big enough to share between two people. Next time, I'd like to dine in and eat it fresh. The sandwiches also come with a bunch of pickles, which was nice. Tip #1 - there is a parking lot but because there are so many stores and it's next to Bratek Deli, it's a nightmare. It did also happen to be Good Friday, so maybe that made it worse? I don't remember it being that bad the first time around. Tip #2 - I called ahead to place my order but still had to wait 15 minutes extra after the quoted time. They prioritize walk-in customers, so you might as well just order in store.

Entering the store, which is a long and a narrow yet fairly sun-lit location, the two employees seem flabbergasted. We placed an order online and I'm not sure if it's because it's the beginning of lunch time but they seemed disorganized. Then we finally got our sandwich and I said we'll eat right at the few spots by the window. Incredibly convenient. Asked if they could cut it in half since we wanted to try it fresh on the spot. One guy was friendly, the other was lukewarm. I had to explain, it's our first time ordering so will understand to clarify instructions in the online order to have it cut in half in the future. Besides the customer interaction, the sandwich is pretty good. Great crunch in the bread, ingredients are just enough (not like Stacked but good enough to fill you up). It's certainly a great option for sandwiches with fresh ingredients. Probably better to order online than in person as they can be busy just making sandwiches and not be able to tend to in-person interactions as quickly.

The bread was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and super warm. They were generous with the portions and gave lots of veggies, which I loved (I wish their pickled carrots and radish were just a bit crunchier though). The marinade for the meats was also well done! I would note that they used American mayo (as opposed to Vietnamese mayo) for the banh mi, which was super noticeable to me. Overall, not a bad spot for Vietnamese banh mi in LIC.
