I have a relatively new Honda lawnmower that started to stall. It is still in the warranty period (6 months), and the warranty said find a Honda authorized power equipment dealer. Upon my search, Lawn Mower Corner was listed as one. I brought my lawnmower in- an older gentleman said he would look at it. He briefly turned it on and walked around with it. He then said that he was unsure what was wrong, as "there was no smoke". I discussed my warranty, and asked if he could do more detailed diagnostics. He became irritable, and said the warranty was "no good". He did not provide an explanation to why it was not good. He then told me to clean the underside of my mower, stating there was a lot of grass and dirt. I admitted it needed clearning, and noted his suggestion. I asked him if I could bring back my lawnmower if it still stalled, in spite of cleaning it. He rudely told me: "No, don't bring it back" and actually walked away from me. I will be calling Honda directly and inquiring about such a service from a reported Honda authorized power equipment dealer, as Lawn Mower Corner says they are. To give him the benefit of the doubt, there may have been a language and cultural barrier, which although I am understanding of, does not justify such rudeness and unwillingness to help me solve my problem. read more

Took my Hedger here to have a Tune Up because I haven't used it in 5-7 years. 1 week goes by, I call to see if it's ready. I was told to come get it, all is done. I asked for a price. He said that he didn't look.and just come by. $120 later, I'm walking out with a Tune Hedger. The next day I decide to cut the bush in front of the house. My hedger had NO Spark plug. read more

I took in a friend's chainsaw which only needed a sight adjustment (my friend couldn't find the tool, but said it would take a minute for a shop to do it). I went to these guys. They were super busy. I told them I needed it done that day. They said to leave it and they would call me to let me know before 3 if they could get to it. No call. Came by at 3 to pick up. Then they said they actually did a complete tune up (my friend warned me about this) and that it would cost me 45 dollars. It looked completely untouched. I asked them to make sure because that was not how this was supposed to happen. I ended up paying.... only to find out later it they did absolutely nothing to it. I was an idiot to leave it with them. Will not happen again. Good job guys... you got my 45 bucks. read more

If I was able to put negative zero stars I would worse place ever with no type of respect to the customers . Besides the fact that they can't even speak English properly and have to guess the words that there saying . I've been a loyal customer for more than 15 years and this is how I got treated .On top of that I wanted to order a part for my lawn mower tractor and the old lady named Maria that works there said " that's to much work for me you do it " . So basically I have to do their job for them and deal with their attitude. I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you want your time wasted . Horrible service. Came in to rent a stump grinder. They only have the harbor freight engines and have to be checking the oil every 20-30 minutes. Ran it for 40 min and said I burned the engine. Charged me for the engine. Commercial engines are supposed to run for a while without one having to check the oil every 20 min. Especially if your renting them! Awful experience. Would never go back. read more

This place sucks. Parking is horrible, gardener trucks parked everywhere in chaotic manner. The building is structurally dangerous and about to collapse. I bet half the cash sales are not taxed, watch how many people buy crap with cash and get no receipt. Their inventory is out of control, anything you order is dumped on the floor and they ravage thru it looking for what you ordered. The owner truly needs some lessons on how to run a business. Terrible experience. Will never go back! Called 2 Mondays ago to have our ride along Exmark serviced. They said they would pick up 2 days later. No show. Next day get call from John at our site that he can't load the mower, "To heavy". I had given everyone a heads up that it needed to be winched on to a trailer. Zero communication. John said he would bring mechanic to site. Nothing happened. The next day Friday I loaded the mower on my trailer by myself (it took me 10 minutes with a $20 come along winch). Mrs Kim at the front desk asked me if I wanted a rush on the order and I said absolutely yes since we were 10 days behind mowing a 5 acre property. Two days later I called and Mrs. Kim answered. She needs to talk to the mechanic and will call me back the same day. Never happened. Three days later I called. Still no status. Very rude on the phone. Very hard to talk to you. One hour ago I went back with my trailer and loaded it to take it away. John saw me and said "Hey you finally brought your mower!" I said you've had it for 10 days and nothing has happened. He blamed me dropping it off on the wrong side of the shop. Thanks John. The other part of your family told me where to put it and I was following their direction. Basically no matter what everything was my fault. After loading the mower I went to the front desk to make sure I did not owe them any money I talked to one of the sons and he was a chip off the old block nothing but excuses and everything was my fault. I am far from perfect myself but man is it too much to ask for simple communication and integrity? Even a kind gesture or an apology would've been much appreciated and I would've left the mower there. All I got was blame and excuses. I drove the mower 5 miles away to Garvey Equipment Company. The owner is John. (626) 285-4150. He looked at the mower in my trailer and lifted it out with his forklift and in five minutes told me exactly what was wrong and said will have it ready for me tomorrow. By the way his business has five stars and for good reason. Now you tell me what kind of experience do you want? One star no communication no integrity - or five stars "We are hear take care of you? Was sent here by Ego to get my string trimmer brought in for repair. Gave me a ticket and told me it'd be a week, call them before I come back. Week later, I gave them a call and they said they ordered me a replacement trimmer and that it would be here end of the week. No call. Waited until the next week to give a call, lady on the phone looked up my ticket and couldn't find it. Guy calls me back later and let me know they made a mistake and that they couldn't service my string trimmer and to come pick it up. I was already pretty irritated that it took them two weeks to tell me they couldn't help me, but things got worse when I showed up to pick up my trimmer. The lady took my ticket when I got there, came back with a piece of paper showing my warranty status was good and a handwritten note to call Ego. She said call Ego, they'll give you a new trimmer. I asked for my trimmer back and she said I didn't need it. I told her I wasn't going to leave without my old trimmer and battery and she said again you don't need it and made a dismissive shooing motion for me to leave. Guy came out and said I'll take care of it and explained that Ego shouldn't be sending clients to them. I'm a little confused that he was happy to take my tool in a couple weeks ago if he now tells me they don't fix Ego products. Needless to say, avoid this place if Ego recommends you send your equipment here for repair/replacement. read more

I can't believe I'm about to say this, but this place is better then Home Depot for landscaping needs. Whew, that wasn't as bad as I expected. Seriously though, I went in for a new lawn mower and ended up getting a motor less push mower. It was $150 roughly and can last forever and a day. Plus you never have to worry about not having gas on hand when it's time to mow the lawn. While I was there, I asked about the cost and application of grass seeds because my lawn is I'm bad shape... Landlord was supposed to have a landscape company maintain it for the past two years but never did so now I have lots of weeds and no grass lol. I was told about the drought resistant grass seeds and basically quoted half of what it would cost going through the depot. That's including overseeding so that I can skip the tilling process. I didn't spend much time looking down the isles, but just a glimps was enough to see that had you covered and at a good price! read more

This place is right next to the landscape warehouse and boy is that parking lot hectic. Once I was able to get into the store I found a great selection of shovels. This seems to be the go to place for local landscape guys. The prices are reasonable, but there was a bit of a line to pay. They even sell mulch, dirt and some plants here. read more

First time here, came to buy a chainsaw and a couple of other tools. The store is pretty well kept, they have a good variety of machines ( used and new ) . Prices are average The customer service is pretty good. A couple of months later I had issues with 2 of the machines I bought. Took them in and were taken care of. I guess you get what you pay for. PSA- Alert! Dishonest, terrible communication, unskilled mechanics. Everyone avoid this business at all costs. I have had the worst experience at this place and I wanted to share with everyone. I recently brought in my mower for service. At first, they said it would be done in a couple days and they would give me a call to let me know when it was done. I went back a couple days later and the mower was in the same place where I dropped it off and it hadn't been touched. They said it would be done the following day. Again, I didn't receive a phone call so I waited a couple days and went to the shop. They said that they "sharped the reel" and that it was good to go. They went to go start it and it wouldn't start. They said they had to have me come back the next day as they were unable to solve the problem. I come back the next day and the mower finally starts so I bring it home. I try and use it the following day and it stalls when I start to mow the grass and it wouldn't stay running. I bring it back to the shop again and they said it was a carburetor issue and that they had to make an adjustment. I bring it home again and it idled rough and when I put it into gear it was lose the power. I was done wasting my time and brought it to another lawn mower shop that fixed my mower and told me that my reel wasn't ever sharpened. I am done with this shop and they have lost my business going forward. I spent hundreds of dollars and time it was a huge waste. Very unreliable. Dishonest. Poor communication. Terrible work. Everyone go elsewhere!! I don't know how they stay in business. read more

Unfortunately another bad experience :/, do t get me wrong they have a lot of materials but sometimes costumer service it's very dessapointing, I did rent a vibrador plate/ compactor for discomposed granite, two hours later and 40 miles away the machine did not perform as expected, I called to let them know that it wasn't working but I was too far to return it soon so will return by the end of the day, I got a bad actitud over the phone but didn't pay much attention, I did return the equipment by 3:30 pm and explained that I was too far and my time is also important to loose 2 to 3 hours just to return early a defective rent equipment, but I got received with more bad costumer service , so instead to fight for my $90 I let them keep it, seriously I won't loose more of my time, probably I'm too little fish for then but my money will go to another place next time... read more

Found this place under name of King Tool Equipment Rental which I now see is reported as closed. I know why now. If you are a professional landscaper or gardener, this is your place - they have pretty much everything you need . For the homeowner doing a project, stay away. They don't need your business, they don't want your business. You are treated as an annoyance. The equipment they rent out is not maintained and resupplied, the motors are not kept in working condition. You have to struggle through the day trying to make it work or using an alternative. It totally wastes your day if you stop to go back and forth dealing with this frustration. When you return the equipment and complain that you paid for something that did not work, or did not work as it should, they argue with you and I am still out the costs. Next time I am in need of specialized equipment I'll drive however far to where this is that business' main focus and you rent equipment that actually works as it is supposed to. read more

I brought my Echo blower in for warranty work-factory recall of ignition coil. I was told it would take two weeks so I called and they couldnt find my blower. "We'll call you back tomorrow" they said, but they did not call. I tried again at three weeks and again they couldn't locate my blower. "We'll call you tomorrow" they said but did not call me. At the 26th day, I called again and was told my blower was ready for pickup. I asked about the coil replacement and got no response except that they installed a spark plug and I now owed them $25. I had no money and thought that a spark plug change for $25 was too much considering I brought the blower in for a very specific reason and the spark plug wasn't part of that reason. I left, drove home, and will call Echo about the behavior of this authorized repair facility. I do not recommend them and warn everyone avoid this place. RIPOFF HEADQUARTERS is what the name should be. read more

Great service and they were very helpful loading the machine I was renting in my car and giving me good advice (e.g. "make sure someone who knows how to use this is the operator"). Highly recommended, will rent from them any day over Home Depot. They have basically any yard tool you can imagine - high pressure washers, compactors, grinders, tillers, excavators, even basic manual tools like tampers and rakes that they'll rent. read more

Excellent shop, gave me the best price on a new mower after I had shopped it at 8 stores online. Harold helped me out. Lots of experience with all types of equipment, and repaired a trimmer better than new. Even cleaned the outer case--very few people take the time to do that kind of attention to detail now out there at other shops. I stopped by last weekend to purchase a line trimmer and had a great experience overall. When you walk in, it feels like a small mom-and-pop store...not too big at first until you follow one of their staff into their back showroom...The floor and walls are literally packed with all kinds of units! Harold was very knowledgeable with the specs and eventually, I ended up buying a STIHL, not to mention, he gave me a killer deal on it... All right, usually don't write about a business unless there's good reason. Lately with all this uncertainty going on, my wife urged me to pick up a generator. I went online... read reviews.... watched videos.... and then stopped in at Home Depot only to see the shelves nearly empty of generators. Went looking online and found a couple Honda 3000 that were new in opened boxes but before driving out to purchase them, I went to Honda dot com website to see if I could use a parallel cable with the 3000. The site listed Lawn Mower Corner on Walnut as the one nearest me.... so I called them. Charles answered the line and all my questions. He proceeded to tell me that they had the Honda generators I was looking for (and others) in stock and offered me an attractive price. He said he might step out, and if so, to talk with his brother, Harold. When I arrived, their nice operation was flowing with customers. As I waited for Charles and Harold I was invited back to the warehouse area where the regulars seem to conduct their business. Great set up! They are well stocked and are well informed. I bought two top of the line Honda generators and John, the father and owner, was gracious enough to help load them into my car. What I mostly respect, is that at a time when they could be charging more for their generators, John and Charles were true to their word. Never again! I have taken my equipment in over the years, but never again. They set the oil fill cap on the engine without screwing it in! Instead of starting the engine at the store, they just handed it over to me. It spewed oil all over my driveway. It doesn't run as well as it should, after a $100 repair. I emailed Johnny, the owner, and he has ignored me, completely. I have spoken to two landscape contractors who both say to avoid this place.
