I've been shopping with and schooled by David since he opened in 2000. David, Michelle and staff are family at this point, and for good reason. Whenever I have a problem, a question, an idea, or need feedback, he's there for me (or by appointment). David was a commercial hydroponic vegetable producer long before he decided to open his store, so he's far beyond a product-pusher. He and Michelle are patient, hard working people, with integrity you don't see much anymore. They are completely dedicated to their craft and customers. They love what they do, and it shows. David made me the educated and successful grower I am today. I've found BG's pricing to be the best. Occasionally you might find a product a buck or two less on Amazon, but you'll never get from Jeff Bezos what you do from David. If you're a "why" person on the technical of growing, the "what happens if", or "what's this strange s**t on my plants?", then this is the place for you. Like everyone and their mom during COVID, I started dabbling into cultivating a garden in my neglected yard of 30+ years. Unfortunately, I really don't have a knack for growing anything as my garden became brown and dead in no time. Unable to accept my 'L', I've decided to automate everything and create a hydroponic garden. I'm really glad I found this place because the main guy here, David, really knows his stuff. He's not just selling me random tchotchkes that I don't need. He's really making sure I know what I'm getting myself into. The price here for some of the stuff that I normally would get elsewhere is also better so I will definitely return after doing more research about what I want. read more

Such a great place for all your gardening needs. I hesitated going here because I thought it was only for hydroponics, but it is not. My garden is all soil containers and with a lot of education they got me straightened out on PH levels and fertilizer. The difference was night and day in 4 days time. read more

Decent store but apparently they've changed their hours and haven't updated that info anywhere except for their door, because that's the most convenient place. For them. Drove there twice in the past month only to find them closed during their listed online hours. They close at 6:30pm NOT 7pm and they are NOT OPEN ON SATURDAYS because why?? Terrible business! They had So many bad reviews on their original ad they had to make a new one. Wow. These good reviews are probably from their employees. Don't be fooled this place is terrible. They'll send you opened partially empty products, call you a liar when telling them what happened, lie to you about a refund and then completely ignore you. The fact that they made another yelp ad should easily speak for itself about the character of these people. Products are terrible , customer service is even worse. This is the worst hydro store I've ever seen and dealt with in my life and I've seen a lot. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! Even if the price maybe a little higher it will be worth it I promise you. read more

I came in looking for rock dust and the correct supplies to brew worm compost tea for my garden. They had both! The guy at the desk really knew what he was talking about, and was enthusiastic about helping me. I got Azomite rock dust -- expensive he said -- because of the shipping. I guess they are serious about compost tea there. He talked about a few methods. I wanted to go simple and just brew my own worm compost with molasses. He suggested adding alfalfa meal and fish emulsion (the kind that hasn't been heat-killed.) He had the EcoPlus Air 1 pump that lots of brewers reccommend and these round flat disk shaped air stones in 4" 6" and 8". Great!!! read more

Great products. Horrible service. When products are faulty, warranty swaps it out and sends back a different product that's not compatible with the original equipment. Now I'm stuck with two different and expensive products. I don't mind paying for something of quality, I do mind not being able to use what I bought how it's meant to be used. After this ordeal I'll never shop here, and strongly recommend finding a better source. read more
