Is Landscape Warehouse on Walnut a separate business than Landscape Warehouse Nursery on Kinneloa? I don't know, but there's certainly some confusion here with these Yelp reviews. I am exclusively reviewing the nursery on Kinneloa. I doubt I will ever go sprinkler shopping and set foot in the Walnut store. My experience at the nursery was pretty good. First and foremost, it should be noted that the people working here speak almost no English. I am not making a value judgment by saying this (I am 0% "English" and my only language is English- if you think about that, that is strange. Why is this the language I as a human being randomly speak?...but honestly, put down the bong, who cares), it is just a statement of fact. They speak VERY broken English at this nursery at best. Let's just say you should bone up on dollar amounts and plant names in Spanish. They didn't have anyone working any of the three times I came here who had English proficiency. That noted and set aside, this nursery has an abundance of awesome plants. Truly awesome plants. Huge-ass, flourishing plants. The Huntington Botanical Gardens but for sale and in 5 gallon and up buckets. I'd be hard pressed to think what you cannot buy here. Cacti? Take your pick. Fruit trees? Excepting citrus, they have rows upon rows of anything you can imagine. Terrific prices, too. Gigantic pots of rosemary for "dies y seis" (I had to look that up). Are they friendly? Not the friendliest ever. They close at 4pm but actively kick you out well before that. But they're totally fine. Nobody is a jerk here. Just direct. You come here, find what you want, pay money, and leave with some great plants. You don't come here to make a new friend or a TikTok post. Given the choice, I'd rather go to San Gabriel Nursery where it's more pleasant and I can get actual customer service. But Landscape Warehouse (fittingly named...) Nursery has its place in the sun, too. read more

Love this place! Went there on a recommendation by my gardener. I was looking for a particular grass fertilizer that I usually had to get from a store much farther away so was glad I found it here. Their plant selection is quite amazing. They have a huge succulent selection, which is what I came for. I only had time to check out 1 of their 3 lots this time. But I'll definitely be back soon and take photos also. The lady that was helping me was very friendly and did speak English. Only thing about this place is that they don't put pricing on anything since it's more geared towards contractors. But everything that I bought was very reasonably priced once I went to pay. If I could I would not leave any stars on this place. Manager is a rude narcissist person he thinks he's the owner or something. Work here for a day and was the biggest mistake of my life, manager decided to not call me by my name since I was a beginner he thought it was correct to call me by a nickname he stated he use for all new employees which It was the word "guppy" (small fish) last time I check I was a HUMAN being not an animal. The fact that he uses the word with all "new" employees (which they don't last working here) and the main bosses don't do anything or acknowledge it says much about this business here. He also stated that he wasn't going to call me by my name till he thinks I deserve it. No wonder this place lacks of employees, who would want to work with this type of management. Then he started asking me private questions about my legal status here in this country which later on I realized it probably was because he's racist, especially towards Spanish speaker costumers because he knows they might not do anything about it but suck it up. Other than that he treats "Americans" with all "respect", so ridiculous. Contacted the "boss" and all he said was sorry and that he was going to pay me for the day?! And was willing to transfer me to another store. Which I really expected for him to do more since it ain't the first time that "manager" is an as*hole toward the employees. Plus, the other supervisor all she had to say that she didn't believe it was true and that I might had exaggerated things?! I wish I did. I could totally confront him in front of the "bosses" but don't want to waste my time when I know they ain't going to do ANYTHING about it. Only if they knew the type of manager he is. He said he has 20+ yrs of experience working there but somehow the 3 boxes of money he used that day came out short like 80$ but probably he tried to blame it on me since I was the new one (whenI have 8 yrs of experience handling cash) (I only touch one of the boxes once) and he made a comment saying that he's always putting the money so it ain't the first time huh? But don't worry he makes up the money not from his pocket but deleting orders but hey the boss doesn't really care about how he treats the costumers/employees maybe he'll care about his money(: so if you want to be treated like sh*t go ahead and go shop/work here:) They need to probably read their OWN employee handbook because i think they forgot some of their rules. read more

The workers and owners here don't know what they're doing. They're very rude and full of themselves as well. The only thing that was entertaining about the place were the roaches and rats doing their little circus act in the corner. Y'all i swear to you it was something outta Coraline. But i'm truth, they couldn't keep their prices straight. They told us one price for a lawn mower then over charged us when we came to buy it. No one has reviewed this place in five months yelp is telling me. You know why? Because workers go here, gardeners that are looking for their stuff, they don't have time to Mickey Mouse around and say "oh nice bright sunny lights inside, really pleasant woman at the front" The customers are people who just want to get in, get out. Get down and dirty with their irrigation supplies. This place is the bomb. During his quarantine lock down with all my free time I figured I would finally make my garden low irrigation. Landscape warehouse had everything I needed and awtsome prices. Way bigger selection than any big box or hardware store knowledgeable staff that knows their stuff. This store is from 80's. Their computer or cashier system is old. The cashier (literately) has to look for the item and then enter it into the system for them to charge you. They never know what the price is until AFTER they call their boss to ask what the price for certain item is. This is just insane. The owner is super cheap and hasn't wanted to get an automated system from for the year 2021? Okay, how about getting an old system from the 90's? Anything would work vs what they currently have, which is nothing. I have been to this store two times and the wait time is just unacceptable and after several minutes all the gardeners begin to leave the store because they are just waiting and waiting and waiting for their turn to pay. I'm surprised by some of these reviews. If you're a Karen, or it's male equivalent, maybe you should be the one to get over your white privilege, and learn a little Spanish. If you live in LA and don't know any Spanish are you even living? Yes, I speak Spanish, but I did not get the pleasure to during my visit here. I was looking for something specific, and the staff seemed knowledgeable and friendly, and wouldn't you know it, the entire time we were speaking IN ENGLISH! GREAT PRICES! Got huge succulents for $8!! They had a great selection of drought tolerant plants. I will be going back!!! read more

I'm a general contractor and went in to get a box to hide control valves, the employee pointed out the section. After looking through the inventory I asked if they had any larger? Employee said it would be a special order which I said fine what sizes were available. Employee asked what specific size, and I asked what sizes were available? He said I have to know what size I want before he would look it up. I said I would shop somewhere that wanted to sell their products. I Have been a pro for 40 years in this field and have never been treated like this! TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE! Another place directed me here when I was trying to find a replacement for a broken irrigation part. Not only did they have the part but directed me to another type that would not break as frequently due to the different design. They also pointed me to another business to supply copper edging I was looking for. Great customer service. read more

I went to this business yesterday to pick up some plumbing supplies for my sprinklers. My regular supply store Desert Supply closed at 11:30AM, and at 11:45, I needed four more parts, 3/4 inch PVC connectors-schedule 80. They quoted me $ 8+ each. I had just purchased the exact items at the supply store for $2.12 each. I had the receipt in my pocket, showed them the price, they were more than 4X the price!! Everyone there laughed at me, big joke....but sorry $8+ was their price. I realized I was the only non-hispanic there; white guy is going to get screwed. I told them, "Thank you, no", and left. The clerk followed me to the car and said, "We can adjust the price" , politely again said, "No, thank you". I went to Altadena Hardware and purchased the for $2.20 each. This is not the first this has happened. I would NEVER recommend this business, Landscape Warehouse, to anyone. read more

Love this place. We get all of our equipment serviced here. Also great for service parts. The place itself is too small for the amount of business they get. Also parking is way to crowded due to the fact that the loading zone is also the parking. Nevertheless, its basically a one stop shop for landscape maintenance companies. read more

One person mentioned the staff converses in fluent Spanish. This shouldn't bother non-speakers, as we are in Los Angeles, where Spanish fluency should be expected. Besides, the store is Latino owned, so why not? Ever been to a real Italian restaurant? They speak Italian. A Chinese laundry? A sushi bar? Get my point? I find the staff very helpful. The only complaint I have is that the prices are not listed on the items. This gives a certain flexibility to the person ringing you up, which I felt was a bit odd. But when I want organic fertilizer, bender board, landscape lights, or a solid, small pick axe, this is my go-to store. read more

My husband and I took on a DIY subsurface irrigation and sod installation project. We are from Pasadena and decided that Landscape Warehouse will be a good place to start. We quickly learned that the Warehouse caters to contractors and it is against their store policy to sell sod to DIY enthusiasts. So even though we could not get sod from them, they helped us with our irrigation and edging needs. I love the fact that they are local and have been in the business for years! read more

This review is for the Azusa location. I accidentally went to this one intended to go to the one across the street. I must say they have really beautiful trees and quality plants. Very well maintained grounds but unfortunately no one was around to answer questions. The worker that was there was just a groundskeeper and was giving me the wrong pricing on plants and delivery. So i went across the street, boy it was night and day. The one across the street had many dead or dying plants/trees, dirty grounds and though many workers no one came up to help. Went there with a long list of things we needed to create a smaller lawn and replace 70% of our existing lawn with drought resistant plants. in the process of asking a fairly straight ahead sprinkler question the guy treated us as if we completely ignorant and then basically said we needed to hire someone to do the job for us. this does not feel like a DIY friendly place. if you are a spanish speaking pro landscaper it might be ok but this suburban family is off to home depot where they appreciate our business . read more

This is about the Pasadena location, the only one I've visited. Don't bother with this place unless you speak Spanish. Items are not priced, staff didn't know prices, no price lists were available. I to call three different numbers to get someone who knew prices, even he couldn't help much. He said they did business with mostly Spanish-speaking customers. So maybe a good choice if you meet that qualification, or want a few things and are prepared to spend time digging for prices. If you want a nursery where you can compare prices and sizes and ask questions, find out about delivery and installation options, if any, go across the street to Present Perfect. Truly, I was frustrated and stunned by a seller who made it so difficult to buy. I have to add that the plant material looked healthy. The place was neat, clean and orderly. I'm giving the lowest ratings, because staff could not answer even basic questions, and no prices were a hard to get. read more
