Terrible terrible job on a basic French pedicure. Took forever and all they could do to fix was paint whole nails white. Even that looks bad. The one star os for the nail guy, Luc. It'd be zero star for the way the business is run and how much crap the 2 ladies (skinny owner and older lady) talk about clients that come in. I missed ONE appointment due to a car accident. Called back after recovering (about a month) and skinny was like, "Luc, do you want that (racial slur) to come in. Let's not let her back". She gets back on the phone and said that Luc was busy and she'll talk to him to call me back. B!@#$%, please !! I was already at a NEW salon and was just curious to see what she'd say. The customer service is awful, just like the polish quality. I get gel manicures all the time. Here, the mani chips after about a week. WTF ? Yeah, don't waste your time and money. I came across Lavish Nails after searching for a nail salon that was closer to my home. I found Lavish Nails here through Yelp, and after reading many positive reviews decided to give it a try. When you walk in, my first impression was that it needs to be updated (hence the 4 stars), however the quality of work is far more important to me. It seemed like locals were the main customers and they had a strong rapport with the nail technicians. I was only waiting for 20mins (letting my nails soak) when I was seen. The gentleman working on my dipping powder was friendly and diligent. My nails came out beautifully. I took a picture of them the next day. The prices here are slightly less than the Alamo ranch area, but the quality is superb, so that is awesome. It's been two weeks now with no chips, no breaks. I was pleasantly surprised with this salon!! We're fairly new to the area and this is the closest nail salon for me. I went around noon mid week. It was myself and one other customer. Quiet. Relaxing atmosphere. Nothing fancy, pretty standard for a nail salon. The customer service was great!! I had a pedi (with sugar scrub and paraffin wax) and mani. This was my first time coming into the Salon. They didn't even acknowledge that I was there just stared at me. When asked what I needed they tried to do the complete opposite of what I asked. They rushed through mine and my friends nails and they turned out HORRIBLE. Definitely wasn't worth $60. I tried telling them I wasn't satisfied and they laughed in my face saying they won't give me a refund if I won't let them redo my nails. I have cuts all over my fingers. The absolute worst mani/pedi I have received in my entire life. I had my nails done by a younger gentleman... It had to have been his first time ever doing nails. If it wasn't, then he is in the wrong profession. Three THICK coats of polish and then a THICK top coat are not necessary. After they dried (if that was even possible with all of the coats), air bubbles appeared on all of my nails. I immediately removed all polish from my nails and redid them as soon as I got home. Oh, did I mention that he had an attitude after stepping on my wet toenails and messing them up? Like it was my fault? How professional. If I ever do return, I will specifically ask for ANYONE but him. (Sorry, didn't catch his name) -- please go look at the pictures I uploaded to see proof of this awful job. read more

Tony has over 15yrs of experiance and gave me the nail look I was searching for. The prices are competitive and the decore is not my fave but I rather get my nails done right than have lumpy nails at a facy decorated saloon. This is the spot where I plan to visit often. Walked in for a "full set" and was given the worst set of nails I've ever had. She left so many bumps and imperfections and the polish job was the absolute worst that I've ever had done. She left polish all over my cuticles and tried to cover it up by applying four layers of polish. I was humiliated and ended up going to a different salon down the street to get them re-polished. My salon technician was a lady named "Loan" and was entirely unfriendly. She spent the last 20 minutes on her cellphone whilst doing my nails. On a different note, my husband had a pedicure and was very pleased. They gave him a nice, relaxing foot massage and removed all of his hard earned calluses. I also had my eyebrows waxed and she did a fantastic job. Exceeded my expectations. We were not offered any water, conversation or friendliness that I am so used to at other salons. Super disappointed with this business. I've been going to see them for three years now and today was the worst experience I've ever had. My and my friends manicurest was rude and rough. He had a rash on his arm which he sprayed alcohol on and wiped off with the same towel used to wipe our nails. He then put Neosporin on the rash and didn't wash his hands after applying before he finished our nails. The rash remained uncovered throughout the whole process. Upon paying and leaving the owner looked at us and said "are you leaving now, we're kinda busy!?" Completely rude. We will never go back and don't recommend going. read more

I went to Lavish Nails on a Friday and got French tip manicure. It was not even the white tips did not go all the way across top of nail like it's suppose too. Was not abject I get back til today (Monday) and when I went in I showed the manager and told her what I wanted and at that time I was seated and my hands put in solution. I waited over an Hour and a Half before I was evdn seated at a table with nail tech. I showed him picture of what I wanted stating I did not want the white tip thick like it was but wanted thinner white tip and he put the top on one nail and I again said to him I wanted thinner white tip. He starts talking to his manager and tells me he can't do it. I'm like , excuse me, why not. He says he can't do it and they give me my money back ( minus the $5 tip I gave tech. on my first visit).
