Awful manicure. Cuticles took a beating, and the middle one is now infected.

They abused my nails! I went here for a shellac manicure. I called at lunch and said their only apt was at 6pm. I had an event the next day and I needed my nails looking good for it, so I took the late apt. From the start, I felt rushed. She was rushing through soaking the shellac off, so she just spent extra time scraping it off my nails. I mentioned numerous times that she was hurting me. She said it was fine and kept going. When she was trimming my already trimmed cuticles, she kept stabbing me with the scissors. I bled on 6/10 fingers. When it came to the polish she rushed that as well. She had to redo 4 of them and had to file those down again as well. She rushed painting them again, and smudged my thumb. By this point I told her to leave it, my nails couldn't take any more abuse. I left having paid 35 dollars to be tortured. My nails look awful, and one of them is now infected. I uploaded a pic of the damage to just ONE of my hands. I'm a nurse, and having cuts on my hands is hazardous. I will NOT be going back, and I recommend you don't either.

I am a licensed nail tech, I understand cleanliness above all. I'm visiting this location because until my salon opens I need to send my loving loyal clients to get pedicures. So far.... This place is clean. That should always be the most important part clients should pay attention to. They use new files and pumice per person and toss the files and buffers. As for the service, I don't like cuticles being cut, it's simply not necessary unless extreme circumstances. Since I maintain my cuticles (push them back in the shower ladies, makes a huge difference!) They did pay close attention to filing, shaping and buffing the natural nail. The massage was with hot oil, slightly too hot at first, but felt awesome! (I miss that lol, not fun doing yourself) steamed towels to remove oil is a plus. For the polish application, I did bring my own because I have a collection of over 300 professional polishes, I am fairly picky lol. The polish did go somewhat into my cuticle on my left big toe, but was cleaned up in the particular way I like my polish to be applied. The only reason I cannot give a higher rating is because they did not engage conversation with us, but spoke with each other, not in English. That has always been a problem for me. Overall I would recommend this place to my clients. It was a good experience. An added note, I did book an appointment at 10am and arrived 5 minutes early. They took us promptly. Edited note: rushed for payment made it awkward. I noticed a bit of left over scrub on the station next to me. Hoping it was just overlooked.

Look at her right thumb and index finger has nail polish on them. Notice she hasn't polished my toes yet. #usedgloves

They reuse their gloves...!!! I'm sitting down right now getting a pedicure and saw the lady trying to adjust her gloves because they were inside out. She told me it's ok not like she's using them on my hands. #notsanitaryatall

This is the second time I am coming to this location. The first time they messed up my appointment and today I found a live cockroach in their sink.

    Nice work! LOL

Awful awful awful. I am a licensed cosmetologist who has been trained in hair, skin and nails and am a high end service provider. I came in today to get my acrylic set soaked off, which my good nail salon in Petaluma always does for me. This woman (didn't get her name) insisted to nip off my acrylic set, destroying the nail beds and causing me pain. I told her to soak them off to avoid further pain and damage, to which she replied "we don't do that here, that's impossible." She is either misinformed and uneducated, or careless and lazy. Probably both! Don't trust these amateurs with your nails. Didn't let her finish, didn't even pay. This salon is a joke! There is another nail salon in the shopping center that is better. Keep walking!

Such an unsanitary place and a terrible job- technician cut straight into my thumb! I sincerely hope it doesn't get infected!

Terrible place. Rude. Ambience is a zero. Went there for a basic manicure and no polish. $25 was very expensive for this service

This was my first time having any type of lip filler, and I couldn't be happier with the results. I went from having almost no visible upper lip especially when smiling to a more natural, balanced smile that made such a difference for me. I also had under-eye filler for the first time after years of hesitation due to seeing inconsistent results on others and the lack confidence at consultations with other providers in the past. Dawa immediately put me at ease, and the outcome surpassed what I hoped for. The under-eye filler didn't just address the hollowing, it subtly shaped and lifted my face in a way that looks refreshed and natural. The results are difficult to fully capture in photos, but in person they are even better than I imagined. I'm incredibly happy with my experience and will absolutely continue seeing Dawa in the future.

The whole salon is pleasant to be in (decor and music is great) and they have an army of workers. I like regular gel on my nails, but they offer it all. I'm pretty seasoned at this by now and what I've noticed is that I leave with great looking manicures, but every time I go back, my nails are thinner and weaker. I'm not sure if I'll keep going here because they seem to value time over the health of my nails. Every tech is quick to use the chemical remover that will sting/ burn your skin if it touches you, and takes the gel right off like acid. To make things even faster they'll use the dremmel to sand down the nail and remove any residual polish. This results in thinner, weaker, exposed nails over time. So when that chemical remover is painted on- wow! It hurts. It's cold and painful, and by the time you realize it- too late. I'm growing out my nails and letting them replenish themselves before I go back- which could take months. Why go back at all? Convenience, really. I'll likely ask them to lay off the chemical remover and wrap them instead. As far as polish colors go, they seem to have a lot, but they use a ton of DND. I prefer the longevity of OPI, but they do have some of this as well. They keep your info in their system but don't track your colors- note that detail yourself. I don't know if it's a gel thing, but it bothers me how rough they file my nails. It's never done with a fine grain along the edges. Inevitably I'll start snagging things with the edge of my fingernails and need to file them myself. Would I recommend this place? Yes, for ambiance and time alone. The cost is average to high if you go beyond the basic manicures, but this is Marin. I get better quality for the same, or less, in the city- so I may just start going back there until my nails are healthy again.
