He was rude in rushing us to make an order (when there was no line), unfriendly tone of voice "is that it" and made a hand gesture to hurry us up. There are many other breweries with kind and welcoming staff and that's where I'll spend my money in the future; I'd recommend you do the same! read more

I'm not really a beer guy. When I do drink them I prefer sours and Belgium styles, both of which I found multiple examples of here. I stopped in a few weeks before Xmas and found the brewery doing a nice business. VERY good music being played and a list of at least 15 tap choices, with a few other options available for takeout too. A tasting of 4 is $8, good deal in my opinion. If time allowed I would have selected a second tasting, my favorites of the 4 I did try were the Wit and a rhubarb sour. I took home a few 4packs and found these to be very good as well, another sour and a spiced Belgian ale. As I mentioned already, the jams were very much to my liking, and the overall vibe of the place was very chill too. Good customer service and plenty of room at either the bar or seating areas and tables. I'll make a point of coming in for a tasting every time I'm nearby during business hours. Hopefully that will coincide with a visit to my new favorite pizza place that just happens to be steps away. Looking forward to returning soon! read more

Cool little place in downtown Point Pleasant. We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon around 2:30 (it opens at 2pm on Saturday) and it was already packed. There was a big group of guys who we later found out were a bachelor party but man they were loud, just not what I was expecting. They eventually left and it got a lot more chill. It was nice they were dog friendly so we could bring our little guy. For beer - I got the Hazy IPA (A-Frame) and my girlfriend got the Kolsch (S.O.S.). I liked mine, the hazy ipa is one of my favorite types of beer. My girlfriend liked her beer too, but I did not like it at all. I got another A-Frame and she got the Flatspell which was a Belgian Wit. This one was much better in both of our opinions. Overall a cool place, pretty good beer. I would come back. read more

We only got to spend 45 minutes here as we were waiting for our table at a nearby restaurant, but I really enjoyed my short time here. When we arrived at the front, the host brought us and a couple through the inside to the back patio. Though the spacious outdoor space was crowded, we were provided a nice two-seater around a barrel under the covering, which is exactly where we wanted to be. There were larger tables for bigger groups situated outside of the tent area. The waiter was extremely attentive and helpful with our beer selection. Although they weren't offering the sampler at the time, they did have half pints, which were priced at half of the regular pints, and made for a nice way to try various beers. Menu was accessed via QR code and check was paid via the waiter's tablet. The clientele all seemed laid back and casual - we especially liked seeing all of the well-behaved dogs nearby! My only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. read more

A gem - been following them for a while on instagram and finally got there for a brew outside. I got morning glass and my friend got the coconut porter. Morning glass was a great mix of sour and fruity. Would say it's a good sour for those that aren't super into sour sour beers. Both were around $7 for a pint which I thought was about average for craft beer in nj/nyc area. They had plenty of picnic tables and they were spaced apart. The waitress was friendly and I ended up getting a 4 pack of Island Time Mai Tai to go as well. read more

POINT PLEASANT BEACH: we finally made it to Last Wave Brewing Co and had such a great time with Brie! A large craft beer list in a nice-sized tasting room that is dog friendly! We also learned what a crowler was...a larger can of freshly poured beer! We recommend bringing your dog during a less busy time since the place is very popular and right in downtown Point. The owner and staff are fun to talk to and are so welcoming to their guests and dogs! It was a fun night where almost every person coming in brought their dog. We met a few friendly people including Joe and his super cute dog, Una! We discovered that Brie and Una share the same birthday and love going to local breweries! read more

It's good to see that Point Pleasant has finally approved a brewery in the heart of town. It looks as if things are happening here on a Friday eve in this two week old business judging by the packed house here. We came in and took the obligatory tour ( required by the State) and decided to try all their seven offerings. Their beers ranged from a stout, Porter, wheat, and a couple IPAs, all very fresh. My preference was the 5/4 chocolate coffee stout, super crisp. I did not find the others notably different to my palate. The staff was super friendly especially Drew, who helped us with the flights. I will definitely try them in the fall hoping the new season will inspire new horizons. I hope they do well. Gender neutral restrooms available. read more

Bring your own food policy is pretty great, service is attentive, the beer (for me personally) could be a tinge too sweet for some of the Hazy IPA's. With that said, still great beer, fairly priced offering half pours (no flights of 4 unfortunately). But the greatest of all, they're dog friendly both inside/out!! I was visiting my sister and she wanted to take me to brewery since We both love craft beer. Last Wave Brewing was such a a fun brewery. It was pretty busy on Saturday at 3pm but it was a great crowd. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the service from the bartender. He was very helpful even though he had a long line of people to assist as well. The best thing about breweries is that for the most part, everyone is friendly and understands the wait. I ended up getting a flight, like I normally do when it's my first time at a particular brewery, and none of the beers disappointed. We got 3 flights for $24- I think that is a very reasonable price for flights. Although we didn't get food to bring to this brewery I did notice that others were picking up pizzas down the road or were munching on snacks they brought. This is a great local spot, or even somewhere to add to the list to do a day trip to. I hope to be back soon! read more

Nice ambience, fun knowledgeable staff, and great crowd. Came here with some friends we heard the brewery was awesome. Upon entering I knew what the hype was about. Nicely lite brewery with a very diverse crowd of younger drinkers, older drinkers, and non drinkers (kids and dogs). The selection of beers are pretty extensive, they have something for everyone. Sours, Bruts, IPAs, and non- alcoholic coffees. No food available unfortunately but it seems they allow you to bring stuff from the outside. They have merch available for sale, also artwork on the walls that you can purchase. Overall I had a great experience - grab a table, sit with friends and chat - or sit by the bar and make friends. Shout out to the staff for being super friendly and attentive! Bathrooms are clean. Will definitely return ! Enjoy your visit! read more

When visiting family in jersey my beer geek self demands I find a brewery. I was pleased to find this new spot and had to try it. My dad and brother went with me also. It's a really cute place. As the name implies it's very Beachy and perfect for its location. There are lots of seats and space for everyone. The staff is friendly and can make recomendations for you. They had about a dozen brews on tap so we did two racks of different ones to maximize our visit. All the brews we sampled are quite good. My fave was the gose. I loved it so much I took a Crowley home for my Boyfriend. In fact they have growlers and crowlers so you can bring some home. Always a good option. They don't have food but you can bring something there. I enjoyed my visit to the brewery and will be sure to visit again. Dog and kid friendly if that's your jam. read more

I never got a chance to taste the beer which I hear is amazing. We were there on a Saturday at 4:00 PM and about 8 adults were drinking and 20 little kids screaming their heads off with no supervision. I lasted about two minutes after the kids approached me since their parents were ignoring them. I am not against children and when ours were young, we brought them everywhere we went, but we brought coloring books and activities to keep them busy. Last Wave was like going to a bar at a daycare. Someone in management needs to straighten this place out. They will make more money from adults drinking than they will from letting it turn into a playground. read more

It's Friday afternoon we're walking through town and decided to stop in for a beer. It's been almost 7 years since we were there and hoping they have more non IPA's this time around. We step into the place and couldn't believe what we saw. Animals and kids!. Some guy had a cat on the table, most likely trying to keep it away from the pitbull and another dog there. Then there were the babies and toddlers! It reminded me of that scene in Sweet Home Alabama, where Reese Witherspoon says to her friend, "You have a baby...In a bar!" It almost looked like a kid's birthday party. Some poor guy was there drinking and trying to eat his Surf Taco Uber eats and you could see he was annoyed. My wife's allergic to cats so that was another reason not to stay. I totally agree with the last reviewer. A bar at a daycare. We're still willing to give it another try, if they have a pet free and kids free night. read more

Having visited over 30 breweries throughout New Jersey, I was excited to visit Last Wave because it is now right in my backyard. They really put a lot of work into the tasting room. It is a totally beautiful place to meet a friend for a beer. They integrated the seashore theme into the decor... all the way to the driftwood taphandles. Last Wave has a downtown Point Pleasant Beach location, which is totally fitting for them. There are a lot of other classy shops and restaurants popping up there, so Last Wave is a fitting addition to the area. The beers all taste fresh. You can tell that they are made on the small scale with a personal touch. They are pretty standard fare... keeping in mind that this is Pt. Beach and not Asbury. They have a relatively small list for now. The owners, Bert & Nick, also have the friendly atmosphere down. I think it is critical that a brewery be friendly and inviting and differentiate itself from a run-of-the-mill bar. They succeed. Decided to go out for drinks on a thursday night. Not too crowded. I ordered a flight which included 4 tastings. The morning glass beer was delicious!! It is a blend of passionfruit and guava. Quite a few selection of beers. They even brewed a pineapple milkshake beer. We picked up pretzels at a nearby supermarket. Dogs are allowed!! Definitely would return. read more

It warms my heart to finally see small local breweries making their mark in the area. NJ was and still is woefully behind other states in craft breweries. Neighboring states like NY, DE, & especially PA have kicked our ass in brewery development; not to mention what's been going on in the west coast for decades. We have a way to go but it's nice to get in the car and travel a short distance to get local FRESH beer. If you live in the area, Last Wave is such a place. Years ago fresh didn't matter so much. You bought your light fizzy lagers that could sit in the fridge for month after month and taste the same. Nowadays there's way more flavors with hop emphasis being prevalent, that unfortunately is no friend of time; hence the importance of local breweries. We tried all seven of Last Wave's offerings while there this evening. Beers included 2 IPAs, one pale ale, porter, wheat, stout, and a blonde. Not sure of the latter's style but I assume it's for the Bud drinker. All beers were super fresh with the dark beers being my favorite here. The coffee and chocolate in the stout were spot on and the fresh roasted malt flavor of the porter stood out. I expected a bit more from their IPAs in regards to late edition (flavoring/aromatic) hops. There's potential here and I hope they push the envelope in the future with some edgy beers. My go to brewery. I'm a sour beer lover, and they always show out with their sours. I have brought family and friends here and everyone has liked it. Even my mom who hates beer actually liked one, the Wave Water! My favorite I have tried still remains to be the Lemon Meringue sour. I have yet to find another brewery that offers the perfect sour beer, others make it too tart. I've tried some other beer styles and no complaints there either. Chill vibe, no frills, just beer. Great place for on site made brews. Dani, one of the managers was courteous and Jesse the manager made sure that customers were taken care of. Bartenders EJ and Lisa were friendly and knowledgeable about the variety of beers. The atmosphere was cheerful and also dog friendly. You can bring your dinner or just sit around with friends.
