They have BEER SLUSHIES!! Highly recommend. So many great beers accompanied with excellent data on each one. Hooray for spreadsheets; they can indeed be used for awesome! Burger 25 next door delivers to Icarus for free. They have rad salads as well as burgers. Make sure to ask for condiments and napkins but if they forget Icarus does have napkins available on the first floor to the left of the bathrooms (which were sparkling clean fwiw). I wish they were closer to my stomping grounds but theyre definitely worth making a special trip for. Great prices and good happy hour as well. I can easily fully endorse their awesomeness. As one of the holiday gifts for my husband, an avid craft beer enthusiast, I was excited to learn about Icarus Brewing Company's Mug Membership Club. They have been at their "new" Brick location since 2024. The Icarus Brewing Company's Mug Membership Club is a year long special that includes a free mug, 10% off drafts (whether you take it to go or enjoy it on-site), 10% off all merchandise, including clothing, tumblers, and glassware (that Feather Falling glass is mine!), $2 off the first pour of every month, and, to top it all off, a barrel-aged bottle of their latest release. Reputable brewery with so many different styles of beer to choose from. There is something for everyone, though popular for their hazy pale ales. Caution: the ABVs can get pretty dang high for certain styles. They allow 2 tasters at a time versus full on flights so the beer stays cold and the flavors don't get muddled. The bartenders were all nice, but STEVE is the man!!! Cabbie hat, majestic beard, and full of charisma. If you're a rock n roll fan, be sure to ask him about how he made his livelihood. Huge indoor and outdoor space--industrial feel. Great location to host an event. Ample parking. Burger 25 right next door you can order from QR codes. Groovy merch and plenty of to-go cans available. I attended an event for Cystic Fibrosis and what an event it was. Im not a person who drinks beer but this event allowed me the opportunity to explore and realize that hard seltzer flavors there are delicious. Pea flower Lemonade and the slushy Farmers Punch were good. Bartenders were very helpful he explained all of the flavors and the percentage of each drink. The place itself is spacious high ceilings and brewing is done right on site.I also brought home the Root Beer and Pina Colada. Needless to say I will revisit on one of those warm days that are coming. read more

Icarus brewing has the best beer. The yacht Juice is delicious, and has a high alcohol content. Yacht all day is a lower Alcohol content. Furio, is a nice beer also. They make some fruity juicy beers that are always so tasty. You can order a small beer, its fun to try some different ones. They have a large selection. The space on Rt 88 is huge. Indoor, two floors. The , outdoor area has fire pits and pretty lights with Adirondack chairs. They have trivia nights and musicians. People of all ages go there, you will see cute dogs during your visit. The staff are all friendly and knowledgeable. I went for a Monmouth University event hosted by Icarus. The mezzanine is a great space and when busy I'm guessing they open the bar upstairs. There's a huge TV and bathrooms and lots of tables and chairs. You can see the huge vats where the beer is made. The downstairs has 2 HUGE garage doors which I'm sure is great for warm weather. There's lots of outdoor seating as well. If you're hungry don't worry because you just scan a QR code at your table and you can have Burger 25 delivered to your table with no fee. It's next door and the food goes well with beer & seltzer. Wednesday is trivia night and Saturday is music night. There's lots of beer options including a Birch beer which mirrors root beer. This place is enormous, one of the biggest breweries in NJ I've ever been to. Between their inside and outside seating, they could probably accommodate several hundred people. Their taplist reflects their size. There were 30 total beverages listed, which included two seltzers, a seltzer slushy, and four NA drinks. The beer on offer truly runs the gamut of styles, from porters, to lagers, to barley wines to IPA's to three flipping different Russian imperial stouts. The variety in offerings is truly outstanding. And the quality is also seriously impressive. They don't do flights, but will pour two tasters at a time. Between my girlfriend and me, we tried several different beers while there for a few hours. We are big beer nerds and agreed everything was excellent. We visited on a Sunday afternoon of President's Day Weekend in February, and the place was packed. We got two seats at the bar, and for most of our time there, there wasn't an empty seat anywhere. There were a ton of dogs and little kids too which we don't mind because we love both. To their credit, Icarus has been trying to address the issue of kids in breweries. They have a roped off section towards the back that is only for 21+, and on Saturdays the entire place is 21+ starting at 4pm. I think it's a nice compromise. We drove over an hour to get here and enjoyed our time here. Highly recommend to other beer nerds in NJ! read more

Came to the brewery while we were in the area. It gets very busy so I suggest that you get there early. They have a lot of seating inside and outside, but it does fill up. It is a great spot for when it's nice out and you can enjoy the nice weather. They have lots of different drinks, alcoholic, and non-alcoholic beers and not beers. There is no food, but there is a burger place next-door and they will deliver it right to your table. read more

We have been to Icarus many times now. We like to order from Burger 25 next door & they deliver your food to your table in Icarus Brewery (or you can use their pick up window.) Ambiance: can be a bit loud because of the very high ceilings but outdoor seating is available with a fire pit & Corn hole game. (There is an adults only seating section on an upper area.) I recently stopped by this brewery on a Sunday afternoon. There was a large parking lot outside, so parking was not an issue. Upon entering, this place had great vibes. The inside was setup nicely. We ordered a few different beers to try, and sat at a table to enjoy them. I really enjoyed their IPAs. Since this is my favorite style of beer, I knew I was going to like them. Plus they have clever names too, lol. Drinking Crayones was probably my favorite of the batch. I also tried a lager and light ale, and everything was delicious here. Not a single bad beer. We had a blast hanging out here and drinking for a few hours. I even ordered a 4 pack of beers to go, so I can enjoy at home. Highly recommended! read more

Icarus 2.0 is in full swing and it is quite a step up from the old Icarus location. Inside there is plenty of widely spaced tables , a large bar, a loft area with additional tables. Outside there is outdoor seating and a garden. The back of the building houses the brewery, which also was upgraded in both size and equipment. What didn't change is the great beer Icarus is known for. Being one of the top 10 breweries in NJ, the upgrade is most welcomed. Although food isn't serve by the brewery, Burger 25 is conveniently located next door. Ordered was a full pour of Life in Helles, sample pours of Pineapple Hindenburg and DDH For the Story: Styrian Dragon. The Helles is a lager...light bodied, crisp, bready, biscuity. It went great with "The Smack" burger from Burger 25. Pineapple Hindenburg, a pale ale was tropical with hints of pineapple, mango and a touch of spice. "For the Story", an Imperial IPA was floral, fruity, juicy, citrusy and sweet. All were good! With the bigger location, opportunities for more unplanned visits are in store. The place is located in an Industrial area with no views and nothing to see at all. We went here from Central Jersey because of the good reviews, but I'm sorry to say that the reviews didn't live up my expectations. Maybe this place is not just for me to hangout with. They offer a lot of craft beer selections, some of the good ones I've tried are the Life in Helles, A Walk Through Helles and the one that I like the most was the Track Suit Budget, it's an Italian Pilsen. This is one of the top brewing places in the country and the tap room doesn't disappoint either. With 26 beers on tap and friendly service, it doesn't really get better than this. As with many other NJ breweries, the location is industrial. As in, if it wasn't for GPS, and a small sign outside, you would never know the place was here. There is no food service inside, but outside food is welcome and according to some reviews it seems like a food truck is sometimes available. Obviously don't count on that. They do have a good amount of merch and oddly just like the brewery I visited before this one in MD they spin vinyl for music. Even more odd, the style of music was the same! No flights here but they do have 5 oz pours. Only two at a time maximum, but you can go back to the bar as many times as you wish. read more

While traveling for softball, we try to stop by local breweries. While in Jackson, we found Icarus on Yelp! and figured we'd make the trip. So glad we did. Nestled in an industrial park, we spotted the outdoor umbrellas. Coming into the AC was a big relief from the heat and amazing art covers the walls. We were greeted by Jim, the front end manager before we reached the bar. He got us started with a few tasters while he led us on a super detailed tour. He answered our questions and even tapped in Jason for our more technical curiosities. We ventured back to the tasting room for some more libations. They have tasting glasses and 26 beers on tap at any given time and constantly rotating! Would I come back? Absolutely! This one is on the list for sure! read more

Great spot not too far off the parkway with good beers and friendly staff. Best part was the turntable spinning great tunes throughout the evening. It had a vibe similar to other half's Brooklyn location despite being in the burbs of jersey. Cool seating inside with some large round tables with a cask in the center, and of course brewery style wall seating. Outside was a large area with picnic tables and plenty of space. Split 6 different beers w the wifey and they were all good...just a few clicks down from the major players in the craft scene. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area! read more

Clean fresh and new establishment. Check the calendar events every night. It could be a little intimidating if it's your first time but the staff is great and the lines move. Seating is a little sparse you do have to be ready to jump when a spot opens. Alt music with a warped tour vibe that will have you looking up songs before you leave. Food was from 30 burgers next door with an app to order. The only thing that worries me is the floor looks like the type of concrete that gets super slick when wet. Went to have one beer for a friends birthday at 3:30. Upon walking in we were told that our kids could not be there past 4:00 which i had told the person we already knew we were there for a quick drink . Within that 30 minute period we were told multiple times that our kids needed to be out by 4:00 . This made us feel incredibly uncomfortable and discriminated against . Our children were sitting down quietly coloring and we were adhering to their 4:00 cutoff . There was no need for the constant harassment . We will most definitely not be back and do not recommend for anyone who has children. The way we were treated was absolutely DISGUSTING . I have no problem with the policy but it still was not polite at all . In fact my daughter thought she was in trouble ! The same person followed us outside multiple times to " remind us " . We were out by 3:57 fyi as I had an alarm set to ensure we were adhering to your policy . It is not the policy I have an issue with it is the way we were spoken to and harassed . If the way we were spoken to is " polite " to you that I am more comfortable in my decision to never go back to your establishment and not to recommend it either. I have been to multiple other breweries that are way more friendly with better beer. Again it is not the policy I have an issue with . That I understand. It's the way we were treated. If that's how you want to treat your customers then go ahead but I will not allow myself , my husband , or my children to be spoken to in that way. read more

I have said more than once that if you go to enough breweries you will encounter just about every theme under the sun. Not necessarily doing a pun but why not here? This brewery is inspired by the Greek myth and the consequences of flying to close to the sun with glued on wings. I was really excited to hear of this brewery's existence because I do so love Greek myth stories. For this brewery Steve and I only had the opportunity to try one of their beers. It was the Chronal Astral Projection. A Triple New England IPA. It had a good citrus flavor to it and all the characteristics that should present itself with a New England IPA. And this brewery experience wouldn't be fully satisfactory without swag and I bought a couple of t shirts to show off the Icarus myth with a comic book art to it. read more

It was a rainy night and I came here on a date. You have to first reserve your table online prior to going their. The staff was friendly and the place was clean. It was a bit small inside , they did have a limited number of people inside. I didn't like the fact that you can basically hear everyone's conversation. But that's due to sitting in a small room. I got the flight which I actually really liked all the beers I got in the flight. Once your time slot I'd done they really give you the boot to get out. Even though it was the end of the night your really only stuck to your scheduled time frame so our reservation was at 7 and it ended at 9 and they were really on you about getting out at 9. Aside from that overall it was a nice date. I wouldn't come out of my way to come back here but I'd recommend it maybe for other first dates. read more

The complaint is seating. Now don't get me wrong and I do have kids....They have to figure out a way so paying adult customers can sit down. 5 big stars to an innovative, incredible microbrewery in central NJ. Their IPAs are my favorite, terrific home delivery service!! What can I say, thank God I live in the same county as Icarus. My all time favorite beer is here, Yacht Juice!! Also love their Power Juicers... they take a great recipe and vary the hops. Can't get enough of these!! They have an amazing process for making heavily oated and wheated triples with a touch of lactose sugar. My fave of these is Just a Tribute, but I also Touching the Sun!! Icarus also has the best delivery service. First of all they deliver which is great as many microbreweries do not. Secondly the only require a minimum of $50 for the order. Less than everyone I'm aware of that delivers. Delivery fee is $5 which is similar to others. Love this service. Absolutely recommend Icarus for beer lovers. Probably the best brewery in NJ! I don't know how I never reviewed it, we have probably been here 20+ times now. Great beers, lots of NE IPA's to choose from & it's also dog friendly. Staff is great, but let's be honest I'm here for the beer! They have recently been doing a lot of collabs with other NJ breweries which is cool. My favorite beer is probably Drinking Crayons and then they have the classic Yacht Juice and a lot of fun variations where they add some slightly diff hops, collab with another brewery, double dry hop, etc. They are relocating soon, so the space should be bigger and really nice, I'm just hoping it keeps the same laid back atmosphere and doesn't bring in a different crowd because the current space has a true brewery feel, warehouse/industrial, you can see the production area from the taproom.
