My girlfriend and I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon in June. The taproom felt spacious with natural light, and was well decorated with off-white walls and interesting plant decor. Definitely a relaxing and welcoming vibe. The place was decently crowded but not overwhelmingly so for most of our time there. We love dogs and they had a ton of dogs inside, so we were in heaven. 10 beers on tap, plus one seltzer, and a nice variety in the list. I liked that the list was broken down by types of beers (easy drinking and crisp, hoppy and hazy, dark and strong), and each beer had a detailed description next to it. This should honestly be the norm for breweries. We each had a flight so we were able to sample most of the menu. The beer was pretty good. We enjoyed all that we had, but nothing stood out to us as super memorable. We live on the other side of NJ, so we can't be regulars, but we would definitely stop by again the next time we're in the area.

That being said, it's probably best that I don't have that option. :) It's such a fun place with really unique and delicious beers and seltzers. I love the artwork and decor and love that they promote and feature local artists/musicians. They are also really dog friendly, and our boy Tito felt so welcomed and loved. Shout out to Rob, who is such a great guy (in addition to being a skilled and knowledgeable brewmaster). We look forward to coming back the next time we are in the area!

There is plenty of street parking, as well as a nearby lot with four hour parking. My girlfriend and I visited on a Friday evening in August. They have lots of seating both inside and out. I was very impressed by the selection of beers on offer: a whopping 26 beers and one hard seltzer, all despite the small size of the brewery. The variety was impressive as well. I've been to a lot of NJ breweries, and I saw a lot of beer styles here that I rarely, if ever, see at other places. This included a Japanese rice lager, an ESB, a white stout on nitro, a black lager, and a red wine ale. The real standouts for me were the Bluecoat (blueberry blonde), the Bayonet (honey stout on nitro), and the Red Headed Vixen (aforementioned red wine ale). My girlfriend and I each had a flight and a full pour, and we loved everything we tried. We live over an hour away, so we can't be regulars, but definitely hope to come back someday soon.

Spacious inside with booths, tables and a long bar, plus an old VW Bus of all things. Lots of open space where they host live music from bands you've never heard of unless you're entrenched in the local music scene. Looking at their set up and their Instagram almost makes it feel like a concert venue that also happens to make beer. Speaking of: there are 14 beers on tap plus one hard seltzer. Most places will go all in on IPAs and pale ales, while this place seems to be the opposite. They only offer two IPAs (a hazy and a double) while the rest of the taplist is made up of pilsners (Italian, west coast, New Zealand, etc.) and lagers (a smoked lager, a Japanese rice lager, etc.). A red ale, a fruited sour ale and a gose with lime round out the list. It's quite an impressive taplist, and everything we tried was good. We live pretty far away and were just visiting Asbury Park for the day, but we would definitely come back if we're ever in the area again.

I think the mark of a quality brewery is whether or not I want to bring any cans home with me when I leave. This was not the case for Toms River as there was nothing I felt I needed to add to my beer fridge at home. Everything else is 5 stars. Amazingly cozy outdoor beer garden, spacious indoor taproom, clean bathrooms, friendly staff, and a fun watch party for the Women's Rugby World Cup England vs. USA game when we were there. Fun spot for locals to hang out with lots of fun events, but far from the best beer in NJ.

Leashed and friendly dogs are welcome inside the stylish tasting room and out back on the patio. For such a new spot, the tap list is impressively well-rounded. Our standout was the Duke of Nowhere dark mild, smooth, flavorful, and effortlessly drinkable. The Wasp's Nest DIPA, a collaboration with Oakflower Brewing, brings a bold, unique twist, while the Looking for Pancake imperial stout delivers just the right touch of sweetness without going overboard. We also had the chance to chat with Dan, one of the owners and brewers, whose excitement is as fresh as the pours.
