Went to 3 shows here over 2 weekends, Surfer Girl, Vana Liya and Kbong. I can't say enough good things about the staff both at the door and the bar. Everyone was really friendly and even when slammed, still very attentive. Had to email the venue a couple times and I always got a prompt response with accurate answers. Definitely hope to go to more shows here in the future.

Tonight was a Motown special at Last Exit!! They played "Cupid" by Amy Winehouse, I'm in heaven. They have a small beer draft list but the conversation with the bartender was priceless. The DJ's killed the turn tables tonight!! Loved it..... The two of them spinning the records into gold!!!! The big screen with Soul Train playing was awesome.... It reminded of the movie Crooklyn (Spike Lee Joint) I had a blast and I never want this to be my Last Exit!!!!!

    Rob Riccardo concert

I went here for a Rob Riccardo concert, never had heard of the place before then. It was an intimate setting where you can enjoy the artist playing. I had whatever red wine they had- I think their pinot noir, which was excellent and reasonably priced. The lighting is fantastic, and their sound quality was even better. I have since started checking what artists they have playing as they have some incredible local and hidden talent.

Merch stand set up and meet and greet area.

Went to see The Elovaters kill it! The venue is smaller and better in a way. You can walk around freely. Huge plus on the cheaper drinks! Had $5 Coors Light cans. You can tell the venue cares about the bands. Will be back for other shows for sure!

Saw a show here last month. Pretty straight forward, good service, good prices, and a great sound system.

Cool little venue. Drinks are really expensive but that was to be expected. Staff was friendly enough.

I had purchased a parking pass for the Adams St. Garage when I bought the tickets to ensure that my parents wouldn't have to walk too far. It was about a 5-minute walk to the venue. We got there maybe half an hour before doors opened, and there was already a long line of course. Fortunately the weather was not too bad. They opened many lines with security/bag checks. We brought only a clear bag and a small purse so that we could move through quickly. Inside, the merch section was located below the stairwell. I'm glad we hit the merch tables early because the line later wrapped around and up the stairs! They had multiple banners with different DWTS pros and celebrities - everyone was taking photos with them. The bathrooms were pretty clean. The theatre itself was easy for me to navigate because I checked the venue map online ahead of time, but there were staff members there that can help too. There were a couple girls who ended up mistakenly (or purposefully?) sitting in my section for half of the show, then later got relocated to their actual section by security. That was annoying because they had to walk in front of us and blocked our view of a dance. We sat in section 4, the lower-level center section, but row 27 was too far back. The stage seemed so far away, and some parts of the stage were blocked by taller people. It did help that there was a screen on both sides of the stage - I think those screens could use an upgrade though. Sound quality was not bad. Overall I had a good time with my parents there, and I would go back for another show, but probably try to sit closer, if it's not too pricey!

The facility has concession stands throughout that have some really good options for snacks and food. It was very easy to get in and mostly easy to get out and I attribute that to the workers outside handling security and especially the usher's inside the theater. They are all on point, Direct, yet friendly to everyone. The atmosphere is awesome here and I would say most of the seating is pretty good. I do have to say for this show the floor seating creates a bit of an obstructed view for some simply because all of the chairs are on the same level and if you happen to sit behind someone that's somewhat tall, it blocks the stage. Next time I will call to find out which row is the first row of the stadium seating because I like to sit as close to the stage as possible yet I want to be able to see the entire show. I am including some pictures of the show itself, although I should've gotten more pictures of the facility because, after all, this is a review for the venue and not the show. I give it four stars instead of five simply because of the floor seating, but don't let that deter you, just make sure you know which seating is which when you order tickets because this facility is amazing.

I was shocked but paid the valet since downtown parking is practically impossible in this weird industrial area. Plus there is a $5 "suggested" donation -- which I was happy to do since it was going to a LGBTQ non-profit (this was the pride theme for June) The inside was packed with people and vendors -- it was bigger this time than last year which was great. There was a lot of different vendors from records to vintage finds and then a number of crafty items. I did try a pomegranate margarita which was delightful! I wanted to try some food but they didn't appear to have anything vegetarian, which was a bit surprising but the food I saw people getting did look really good. They have a section to sit down and people watch so I did that for a while -- I needed to get make the cost of parking worth it, LOL. Overall it was fun but the parking cost was annoying -- I like the market when it is actually in the Melrose area but it is too hot for that now. The Duce is a really cool venue though -- I would like to check out their DJ/dance party nights sometime!

We saw many homeless while walking there and when we were done decided to do ride share back even though it was only 4 blocks. The Duce is a cute establishment but is not designed for a lot of people. We purchased tickets to see a 70's and 80's band that was scheduled to start at 7:30pm according to our tickets but the roll up door for the inside area didn't open until 8:30pm so we were stuck in the heat of the outdoor area. There aren't many places to sit and the one area outside that was like a massive picnic table was reserved for 100 medical students who never sat there when they eventually arrived. The bartenders are amazing. They make very complicated drinks with fresh squeezed fruit like lemons but there were only two behind the outside bar so it was difficult to place a drink order. When we eventually wanted to close out our tab we each had to get in a separate line drink as the bar was so understaffed. Suggestion: Pay for your drinks as you go into the evening so that you don't have to wait at the bar to close your tab. I understand that it is common for the Duce to host theme dance parties and they had an incredible 70's & 80's live ba with 9 band members on a tiny stage. I would love to see the band in a larger venue. We were off to the side and in front of the band and the entire time we were there, there was someone, who I think was with the Duce, constantly video recording mostly the band and sometimes the dancers. It was hard to enjoy the band with someone continually moving in front of us to video record. We were there for 2 hours and he never stopped recording. None of the areas of the Duce are fully indoors and during the summer be sure to dress for the heat.
