I had a really good experience here overall. The salon is located up on the 2nd floor of the building. The waiting area is really clean and bright. They have mints and snacks for you while you wait. The staff are all extremely friendly. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner for one of my sessions, who was so patient and amazing. Their appointments are a little tough to make because they do book up so call ahead of time. They ask for a deposit to hold your appointment (I think 25%), but they will refund it if you give them at least 24 hours notice for any cancellations. Prices are reasonable (in general eyelash extensions are very expensive). Tipping: tipping is expected, and no worries if you don't have cash because everyone there has a Venmo account. You can't tip on your credit card. When you check out, there is a list of all the technicians and their venmo account name. The only feedback I have is that the technician who did my initial set of lashes didn't really explain anything to me before do my extensions and it was my first time. It would've been nice if she just quickly spent 2 mins explaining what to expect. But other than that, I had a great experience otherwise. read more

Service was A1! The front desk was really friendly and professional when I walked in for my appointment. Even when I called to book an appointment it was a stress free and easy process. The interior is cozy and beautiful! I got the classic set and couldn't be happier with how it turned out. It came out natural but looking full which definitely enhanced my eyes. They do ask you to deposit some money when you book an appointment. Tips are also done by Venmo! They also offer a complementary session within the week that you get your lashes done. I had lash extensions done by Ann a few days ago and I had a fabulous experience. First, she and the spa were very considerate of COVID-19 and had each bed socially distanced with curtains. She also wore face shields/other PPE throughout the appointment. In the past when I've gotten lashes, I've had eye irritation but didn't experience that with Ann. I got my lashes refilled on Tuesday by KYLIE who did a FANTASTIC JOB! I had it originally filled in December and a refill/ retouch by Tiffany who was great!! I had a fill in January by someone who I did not know, and was very very disappointed - - 1.5 hours and $135 later, I was not pleased with how sparse my "hybrid" volume/ single lashes looked compared to the initial fill and refill prior. I was so disappointed I dragged my feet coming in for the next fill.. like 6 weeks later. That's when I saw KYLIE who worked some refill magic and added some volume to my 9-11 natural look lashes. I have been recieving compliments all week, and can't recommend her enough. I have been to many salons (Robin Erb) and this by far has been the best! Thanks! I was really happy with my most recent visit to Lash L'Amour, my third time there. The first time was over 2 years ago and it was my first time getting lashes ever and the next time was a refill, but since moving back to town, I finally returned. I wanted to get my lashes done before a European trip last month and they were really great at accommodating me at the last minute. I ended up with a technician who was new and normally just does refills, but aside from it taking a little longer, she was great. In fact, she might have been so careful that my lashes lasted longer than usual -- lucky me! I look forward to returning! read more

Absolutely love this place! I got hooked on lash extensions about a year ago after trying them for a special event. After coming to Lash L'Amour for the first time, I tried another place with a Groupon, and boy, it was absolutely nothing close to the quality of lashes and service I received here, so I've never strayed again. The online booking process is fantastic and super easy, and everyone I've interacted with at the salon has been really friendly. Jahnai and Heather are my favorite, as they are super talented and really listen to what you're looking for (whether you want tons of volume, length, cat eye or natural shape, etc.). You really can't go wrong with either of them - they're awesome! The manager is also really great and prioritizes excellent customer service. I was so pleasantly surprised to find the best lash set/fill that I've received is right here in Boston. The location is super convenient and the spa is always clean and comfortable. The whole team is really personable and helpful with any questions. They all take great pride in their work. But I have to say that Melissa is the best! Update: I kept finding that my eyelashes weren't full enough. I voiced my concerns each time and was told to come sooner (every two weeks), but I was ALREADY coming in every two weeks. They kept offering to fix them in between sessions, but going in every week was not feasible for me because it takes a lot of time out of my day. I found a new place that's cheaper, lets me refill every 3 weeks, and fills them until they're FULL... not as full as 45 minutes gets me. They get 3 stars because they did try to fix the issue and they're clean, but paying $85 every two weeks and not having them be amazing was not worth it. read more

This place is horrible. - They charge you if you call the day before to let them know 24 hours in advance if you can't make your appointment. - They lashes they put in (VERY pricey- the most expensive in boston- FALL OUT after 2 days) - I have been going here for about a year- I kept giving them chances, trying different lash people thinking that it was me. BUT IT'S NOT. - Please do NOT waste your money or time here. - The lashes fall out after 3 days regardless of who does them. - I've been to other lash salons where this is not a thing!!! I have been having lashes extension for 4 years now. I know what it should look like and how to take care of them to make them last. I moved to Boston last summer and went to Lash Lamour because of the good reviews... Unfortunately they have a really bad quality of extensions. Their lashes are falling so quickly that you have to go back every 7-10 days. THIS IS NOT NORMAL LADIES!!! They almost convinced me to do so. I almost felt like I was the one doing something wrong with them. Finally tried a new place after going there for 6 months and thank god I did.... Back to normal; I go for my refill every 3 weeks and my lashes are looking great even after 3 weeks.... AND for 1/2 the price. Nice salon, friendly staff ( that's why I'm giving 2* instead of 1) but such a bad quality and soooo expensive. read more

This is long overdue. I phoned Lash L'Amour for emergency assistance in removing lash extensions that were incorrectly applied by a different company (Cape Cod - Lash Boutique -do NOT use them!). Lash L'Amour's employees are extremely professional. They got me in and removed the lashes the same day I phoned. What had happened: I had lash extensions applied in Hyannis at Lash Boutique just before leaving for a special holiday weekend with my friends in Boston. They said on their website they never had anyone have a bad reaction . (The owner said their site didn't say that, however I have pictures of their site from that day-they then went on and revised their website. Complete liars). It turns out, Lash Boutique had applied the lashes so that the glue actually adhered to my skin, not just my lash, as it should have been done. I had a horrible reaction, and ended up at Mass Eye and Ear-I looked like someone hit me in the eyes during a boxing match. The owner of Lash Boutique told me that is not why I had the reaction. Apparently she knows more that the TWO doctors who treated me at the best eye hospital in the world. But, back to the WONDERFUL Lash L'Amour on Newbury Street in Boston.... They are real pros there. What they saw confirmed what the docs told me. They were wonderful and Jahnai gently removed the lashes that were incorrectly applied by the other company. So, do not settle for less than the best when you are talking about your eyes! I would like to thank the amazing staff at Lash L'Amour in Boston, especially: Jahnai Aleysia Monica (Manager) Thank you for being so kind and squeezing me in during this emergency! Can be a bit tricky to schedule a convenient appointment time Super long version with lots of detail: I'd never gotten lash extensions before but I've always wanted to. My mom had successfully scared me out of it saying that my 3 measly natural lashes will fall out with the extensions. Plus, I've seen many of my friends get lashes and they all looked pretty fake and not something that I'd really wanted to try. The lashes all looked a bit plastic. Still, the idea never completely left my mind. I've had thousands of lash offers come through my inbox which I've generally ignored, but this one in particular caught my eye for 2 reasons. 1. It came from Gilt City 2. It was located on Newbury St. Knowing Gilt & knowing Newbury, I felt like this place had to be different. I did some research and generally it seemed like people had great experiences. I also liked that they took pride in the materials of their lashes -- other places don't really seem to tell you what their lashes are made out of. The Gilt City deal was much more expensive than other types of lash deals I'd seen in the past -- the "deal" price was regular price for most places. Based on the reviews I've read, it seemed like they were definitely charging for more than just premium real estate, so I decided to give it a try and I'm so glad that I did. After I was done, I looked in the mirror and I was totally shocked. It looked like she didn't do anything -- in a good way! They looked SO natural I really couldn't believe it. I was very satisfied and will probably check out the Newton location in the future since that's closer to me. read more

I had always heard about lash extensions, but I hadn't found a place in Boston that was worth going to. So I ended up purchasing the voucher, and booking my appointment. Well that was 3 years ago, and I'm still a fan today. See I have naturally curly lashes, the kind that folks say they wish for. So applying false lashes was a always quite the challenge. Once visiting Lash L'amour I knew that it was a love affair that I couldn't end. Although there was one time in which I thought I would have to, well because my lashes where looking a little scarce, but needless to say they are starting to look like the way they used to look when I first started to get them done.
