DONT BOOK HERE. Chris is so unprofessional. Often late or moves appointments AND she makes up her prices on the spot. I tried time after time to develop a regular cadence and anticipate how much time/money I'd need but it'd be different every single time. I've been getting lashes for 10 years and take very good care of them and yet when I'd come back after 3 weeks with no retention she'd blame me and Upcharge me. She'd charge me for a new set without even tell me and her only explanation was "the prices are on the website". I even drove out to her Bergen county location to accommodate her schedule and when she charged me for a full set without informing me I'd need one (it had only been 3 weeks since my last fill) she complained I didn't tip her. I've received nothing but non-stop compliments! Chris's space is very clean and relaxing. I definitely fell asleep during my lash application and -- as a first timer, Chris shared great tips on after-care. I ended up making a follow-up appointment for a fill-in one week later. Sure, I had lost some lashes, but really I was there for MORE bc I was obsessed with the natural look and wanted to really go big for wedding day. So I got my eyelash extensions done for about 3 months and when I took them off I was expecting nothing to be there like all the other times because my eye lashes r so fine , to my surprise I have more eyelashes than before and healthier and even dare a say thicker ?! I'm so confused ! lol I had told Chris on our first appointment I was nervous because every time I get my eyelashes done (not with her obviously) when I want to give them a break I take them off and I have nubs for eyelashes and she said she would give me a set that won't do that to my natural lashes ! So first I will say that Chris does good work and is gentle and skillful. No complaints at all about her ability. She's not a particularly friendly person but that's ok. She is curt but professional in some ways. That being said, my experience like many, Started with a Groupon which pays for a "full set" which is basically a skimpy introduction into this area. Didn't do much or look like much. Not her fault. I "upgraded " and while this was much more expensive, I guess it is ok and if looked better. Two issues : I am quite sure this is her own business, though she says she is an employee of the place she works out of. I'm not so sure. It doesn't matter , except the big request for tips is odd for the business owner to make herself. Maybe that's just ignorance of normal business practice. Or maybe she really is an employee ( doubt it). Second, sometimes the schedules don't work out and she was not available one week and I had to travel. Understandable on both sides. I had to get a fill where I traveled to. On returning - I got emailed" the policy" about not working on anyone who has been touched by anyone else It's fine , she can have any policy she likes of course. Bottom line- her, like some others in the area , prices are stupidly sky high, especially after seeing other parts of the country where prices have come way way way down. More And more people are getting Into this field and he prices will become reasonable. In fact they are coming down even in Bergen county. This will get more normal like in nail care. Sometimes you can't line up schedules and things have to be flexible on both sides. You do get what you pay for, but shop around there are many games in town and there are more opening. every day. I wouldn't recommend it . She is ignorant and has the biggest attitude after I posted my comment on groupon. She made me sign a paper agreeing to give a 15 dollar tip. The service was not well for her to receive this . When I didn't give it she pointed the paper. I looked as if I wasn't even wearing lashes than to charge a tip when the service wasn't good. Super disappointed! Tips are based on service ,you have no right to mislead users to a cheap price on groupon if yOu are goingto play that card. And after my review this lady had the biggest attitude and ignorant comment. She told me her service was worth 100.00 and it is not. I have been to lash studios in Montclair with real set of lashes for 100.00. Your bad service is no where next to 100.00 service or 14.00 tip you forced me to pay. First of all I have to say that this was the first time I have ever had my lashes done and I was so incredibly nervous but since one of my best friends has been going to Chris I trusted her and had such an amazing experience! I came into the Verona location which was easy to find street parking and there is a parking lot located in the back of the salon. Chris made me feel very comfortable and gave me suggestions as to what would fit my eyes and what wouldn't look as good. When my session was done I had beautiful eyelashes. What made me feel even better was the next day at work I didn't tell anyone I had put lashes on and they kept complementing me and couldn't believe that they weren't my natural lashes. Chris is excellent! I bought the Groupon (when it was running) despite hesitations from a couple of reviews, but now I will only go to Chris. She is very friendly, respectful, and she asks a ton of questions to make sure you get the look you want. She is FAST, and the lashes look more natural and stay on better than the other places I have tried. I have had friends switch to her based on my lashes and they are also happy. Her pricing is very reasonable - I do not even look for groupons anymore because she is worth every penny of the full price (which is less than other places where you don't know the skill of the technician and you get a 'one size fits all' approach). Having heard and viewed many lash horror shows, I was very hesitant to go forward myself. I have received many Groupon offers for lash extensions, but finally fit the bullet by buying the offer for Natural extensions from Christine. When I showed up, she clearly recognized my trepidation, and did everything possible to relieve my anxiety. She spent time explaining the process and showing me the various options with respect to length and curl. The process was so calming, that I actually fell asleep on the table! When she was done, I was amazed at how my lashes had filled in beautifully. Now it was a question of how long they would last. After about a week and a half I started to see a few gaps (whether they were my own or the extensions falling out, I don't know), so I scheduled for a fill. Again, the experience was as great as the first. So now I had built up a little more courage and went back for a Glam set. But once I got there, the nerves kicked in again. Chris was unbelievably patient and comforting, so ultimately I fell asleep again. I am so glad I overcame my fear, because this Glam set looks unbelievable! One problem this time. While driving home, I noticed that I had a scratchiness in one eye, like a lash was stuck. Texted Chris the next morning, and she graciously met me at her studio before opening hours. It ended up that one of my own lashes had folded over into my eye. Problem solved! My next project is considering brow extensions. Perhaps Chris can talk me through that. I've been going to Christine now for about 6 months now , she was my and about 7 of my clients life savor after going to someone else for 10 years who I thought was good until I found the best! I had tons of glue and broken lashes from the previous girl. Chris took everything off cleaned all the glue and managed to make my lashes look amazing considering they were a disaster, she gave me a great serum to grow and strengthen my lashes in the meantime, as my lashes got stronger it only got better, they never twist or turn like they used to, there on straight and even there full and long just the way I like them, I go every 2 weeks for a fill in, she cleans them and primes them, which I never even knew that was part of the service because I never got that done with the last girl, she spent 2 hours on me the day before my bridal shower and my wedding to make sure they were absolutely perfect for the big day. I barely loose any and I take hot baths every night witch you aren't supposed to be in steam and they still don't move, she's always on time and very flexible when I need her. I sent all my friends and clients to her (I'm a hair stylist) so everyone compliments. She's by far the best!
