EDIT: I have never dealt with such unprofessionalism before. Not only did the owner tell me I need to show proof that I went to the doctor for this but after I sent him the doctors note confirming that I have a corneal abrasion he proceeded to gaslight me saying things like "eyelash extensions aren't for everyone" and "irritation is normal" after I CONFIRMED that it is not just irritation but in fact a corneal abrasion. He continued to tell me that he has been in the business for a long time and that this has never happened before as if that changes the fact that it happened to me. He said he needed to confirm with my doctor and after confirming he is STILL refusing to give me a refund and is asking me why I feel the cut happened at his store. It is as simple as I walked in with no corneal abrasion and walked out WITH one. He is actively trying to argue with me through text instead of just rectifying the issue. the patch placed under my right eye was misplaced and was uncomfortable the whole time and she would not move it. I bought eye drops to help with the irritation but the eye drops hurt my eyes very badly. I now have to go to urgent care to get medicated eye drops so I don't get an infection. I'm getting married tomorrow and I leave for my honeymoon in two days. Now I cannot wear contact lenses :( I am very upset about this . After going to the doctor, he did a dye test and confirmed that there is in fact an abrasion on my eye ball. read more

I went to this lash place about a week ago, looking for a FILL, yes as in I already had lashes and was looking for fill to make them more full. I had a decent amount of lashes on each eye and didn't really need a fill but wanted a fuller look as I had a photoshoot. I have never, ever paid more than 60, maybe even 75 for a fill. They charged me 95 dollars for a fill, not even hybrid or volume lashes, they were individual lashes and I was still charged 95 dollars the cost of a almost a full set. Oh and not to mention my lashes have already started to fall out ALOT, more so then ever, and it's been 5 days since my fill! Absolutely ridiculous!!! Would not return To anyone who see's this the owner replied with An absolutely disgusting response. Next time please learn to take constructive criticism, and reply accordingly. To the owner who said I left without tipping don't forget to include the fact that you added the tip without saying anything to me, the customer because on your kiosk it says 15 dollar tip inclcuded, which is something you should verbalize to all customers but you don't which is so rude!!! And how dare you say I left while you attended to another customer, when you indeed walked me to the door and opened it for me and said have a good day. Don't lie for the sake of a review that's so unprofessional! There is no "I" in "Customer" - nice place and good lashes (according to my wife) but poor business sense. Felt good about purchasing a $250 gift card for my wife at a discounted rate. Was less excited when handing over my credit card and being asked to pay the 4% transaction fee. Who does this?!? Just build the into your cost structure. Otherwise it wreaks of nickle-and-diming. Just the wrong approach for a higher end place. Secondly, my wife learned about a Groupon during her first visit. When requesting to use it when paying he was told she couldn't. The primary reason... "this cuts into my profits by ~50%". First - don't use Groupon for marketing then and second - nobody cares about your profit margins. Nothing against hard working people making money but your business decisions aren't your customers' problem. And I'm So. Soo. Sooo happy I "waited" and found Mimo Lash! This was my first time having eyelash extensions done and without regret! The place is very clean, chic and a relaxing environment. They have spa/instrumental music playing overhead. There are about 3/4 beds? One customer per bed obviously lol. Very clean and sanitary. Prepared like a doctor's office. At intake, if it's your first time there you'll have to fill out 2 brief forms with your info. Standard procedure. Then you'll be asked what kind/type of lashes you'd like to get ie silk, mink, or weasel. Then the look- accent, classic, elegant or gorgeous. Check their site for the detailed info re: how many lashes per eye for the look. After choosing a look, you select the design ie natural, sexy etc; then finally you choose the curl style. I decided classic, noble mink, sexy, and forgot the curl style I chose lol (but, they make sure to present to you on a sheet how each curl is). The technician who did my lashes is Yuni. She was very meticulous and took her time doing my lashes. Took about 1 hour and 30 mins? That's from intake right up to walking out the door lol. For first time customers btw, they offer half off on pricing so like my set is originally $160 but I only paid $80. Quality of the lashes are *heart eyes*!!! I of course tipped too! You also go home with a eyelash spoolie to brush your lashes. Robert's the owner and he is equally amazing, so courteous and welcoming. I'm looking forward to my next visit, in 2 weeks for my fill. I purchased the natural set of 120 piece on Groupon and they provide you service based on the discounted Groupon price. When I first called to schedule an appointment they asked me to not purchase the Groupon and they would match the purchase price, I told them that I had a Groupon credit already and had traded in a deal for this one. When I arrived there was an esthetician ready to take me which was great because they do go by appointments but she took 2 hours for the worst lash set I've ever received. It felt and looked like there were only 20 lashes on each eye when she was finished. She did not eve place lashes near the corner of my eyes so of course after 2days 85% of the lashes were gone. I just moved into the area and have been searching for a new lash place. I was not impressed with Mimo Lash Boutique. I take really good care of my lashes when having extensions and follow all the aftercare instructions but still seemed to lose a lot more lashes than I ever have before. The products used seem to be cheap or that they are "cutting corners". Personally if I'm spending money to have my lashes done, the quality and longevity matters!! I was also asked to tip more 3 separate times (and I promise I'm not a cheap tipper!) Very clean and nice place. Good for a special occasion or one-time use. read more

I bought a Groupon for a full set of silk lash extensions. I have never had lash extensions applied before so didn't know what to expect. I chose the style and length I wanted and paid $20 to upgrade to Mink. I was taken in and laid down and my eyelids were taped. The person applying my lashes kept stopping and getting up and leaving. The application of the lashes was extremely painful. My eyes were burning and stinging and dripping tears into my ears the whole time. Also it felt like sandpaper was under my eyelids. It was honestly excruciating and I was afraid I'd open my eyes and be blind. My eyes burned for the entire rest of the day and when I got them wet the next morning to wash my face the burning started again for a few hours. My lashlines were puffy and swollen for 4 days. I asked everyone I knew if this was all typical and they said no! Fast forward to 4 weeks later, I went to a newly opened store for a fill. I wanted a "fill" although I noticed that I hadn't lost any lashes in the 4 weeks after I had these applied by Mimo Lash. The stylist said that if I hadn't lost any lashes in 4 weeks something was wrong and wrong it was! Upon inspection of my lashes it was found that Mimo Lash had glued the lashes to my skin! This is completely incorrect to glue lashes to skin and my stylist said "I hope you didn't pay for this and if you did please get a refund. The person who applied these lashes had no idea what they were doing. Your natural lashes may be permanently damaged". I must add that the lashes applied at Mimo some lashes had 5-6 lashes clumped and glued together. My stylist was in disbelief and calling other employees over to show them it was that shocking! It took an hour to remove the lashes applied by Mimo. There are gaps along my lash line where my natural lashes used to be. My natural lashes are very sparse. New lash extension were applied at this new professional place and it was very relaxing and completely painless (as was the removal process). I requested a refund twice from Groupon but they refuse (because the service was performed although incorrectly). Hopefully the owner of Mimo will be so kind to offer an apology and issue a refund. I'd like my $25 tip back too. read more

The man at the front desk gave me great recommendations and clear instructions on how to care for my lashes. For the money spent, the lashes were exactly as I hoped! There was no pressure at all to sign up for a package, unlike some other businesses I've been to. At the end of my appointment, the man even opened the door for me upon leaving. So I bought a Groupon for a set of mink lashes for $32, 40 lashes each eye, overall my experience was cool. I never had lashes before and the experience is a bit weird because of how they have to tape your eyes down lol and I wear contacts so I was nervous about it all but it went well. I went to the Morristown location and the ambiance is very nice and soothing. You get to lay down on the tables while the lash tech sits and puts the lashes on you. I believe the guy who checked me in was the owner, he told me 80 lashes was moderate and wouldn't give me a full look but I liked it because it looked very natural and I got a lot of compliments on my lashes. The only cons for me were this: for the next few days after the lashes were applied the lashes and glue was making me eyes water a lot and I had a lot of mucus build up in the corner of my eyes...more than normal because it is a foreign object next to your eyes and I'm sensitive to everything. A few lashes did come out and was hanging right when I left the place. I don't feel the tech I had was that good and I could tell she was struggling doing them, especially on my right eye, I could feel she didn't apply them correctly. Some were coming right off and some were hanging in my eye. Also the length of them were not matching or consistent. My right eye lashes were longer and applied differently than the left. If I didn't get this as a Groupon my review and rating would be TOTALLY different FYI. My four stars are really based on the customer service and how nice the shop was, but not on the lash job itself. I would try lashes again later in life but I'm not sure if I will visit this place again. read more

I have been getting lashes for years & usually do a monthly membership & go for a fill every 3 weeks. I came here for a 2 week fill as it is close to where I work. First off they have packages not memberships. Not my favorite, as you have to front a lump sum vs. getting charged monthly. However, since I get them done regularly I would consider it. The lash stylist changed my lashes from synthetic to mink without even asking me because she thought they would be better for me & I was charged $75. Not even 2 weeks later they were almost all gone, especially on my one eye. Since I have heard good things about this salon I decided to go back. This time I requested a different stylist. She did a really good job but I was charged another $80. That's 150 in lash fills in less than 2 weeks not to mention the $40 in tips I paid. That is what most places charge for a new full set. I just hope that this time they last longer than 10 days. Bottom line, there are so many choices for lash places out there now, I will not return. read more
