It's easy to miss this little charmer, corner store if you think too big box. As someone who grew up here, it's wonderful to come back and see how much gas changed and the food that remains. Having a cosmetics and facial shop like this is one of the best changes. Tucked into "Main Street" Morristown, this offers a lot more focus than Sephora or the trouble of going to an isolated shopping mall. They care everything for your face from cleansers to eye shadow to toners. The prices are competitive and the experience was fantastic. I was greeted almost immediately upon entering. I browsed happily looking at brands from Jo Malone to Kielh's to all in between. While they did not have Tata Harper, they had some toner from Mario Badescu that I have been wanting to try. And for the low price of $11. The staff were happy to check me out. No waiting, no fuss. When I asked for a bag, the associate even offered me a few extra since they are reusable and perfect for groceries or schlepping things. Skip the mall and big box, stale stores and try here! It's a shame this cute store has such shitty customer service. When I walked in 3, count em, 3 employees looked right at me and none greeted me. Oddly, they greeted other customers that came after me hmmmm. No one asked me if I needed help. Again, the customers after me were asked. The store itself was pristine. Everything well organized & nicely displayed. Good variety of brands. The only thing that saved them from a 1 star review. I will never return and I'll encourage my friends to do the same. read more

First time in the store. I was immediately offered help, the NARS rep was great. Not too pushy and only helped with what I asked for. It was a quick visit. When I got to the register one of the employees was counting the register (it's the middle of the day) and another rang me up with her iPhone and square reader. The app they were using wouldn't work. They tried twice. The bitch counting money refused to open the register and took out the old fashion credit card print machine. I said I'm really not comfortable doing my purchase that way and she was so rude. One employee gave a half hearted apology. I said forget it, I'm not purchasing that way. With all the credit card scams I wasn't letting them imprint my card. So I said you lost a sale. I just feel badly for the NARS rep. She didn't deserve this read more

I walked in with a group of friends, not even one service representative greeted us, smiled, or acknowledged our presence. AND on top of that, the store was empty. I would understand if they were busy... but to have 3 people working, the store empty, and to not even offer any type of help, is unacceptable. I am giving them two stars, however, based on selection, cleanliness, and excellent display of products. Also, when I did finally ask for help, the service rep was informative (not friendly/ very bland) and did offer a sample for me to try. I would much rather go to sephora any day than this place, since they have a lot of the products, and you'll definitely get good customer service there. read more

I've shopped here a few times since they have a good selection of products that you normally cannot find without driving to a place like Short Hills Mall. This store is what people mean when they say "It's Morristown" with regard to something. It's in the middle of town, so with that comes the "air" that many places in town have. The staff seems to not care if you are helped or not. If you have a question, you will have to seek out a staff member since they will look right at you and turn away. Obviously this type of customer service would not work in a small town shop, but for Morristown its to be expected. However once you ask for help or in my case during my last visit, assistance with finding the right shade of foundation, they will be engaged and you should get what you're looking for. They helped me find a foundation color that worked great and even suggested a different product than the one I originally looked for. Worked for me since it was a cheaper price as well. I can't remember the name of the lady who did my makeup, but she did a great job and even hooked me up with some samples. My suggestion is to be patient and you'll leave happy, though you should not have to beg for service. Edit: 10/2017 - Been here a few more times since my review and have found they are a bit more friendly. They will acknowledge you and leave you alone to browse. Much better experiences than I had initially. Hoping the people in charge saw these reviews and encouraged staff to make changes. read more

I hate writing bad reviews but as a frequent shopper here, every time I go in the store, the employees are not helpful. They are always having their own side conversation and aren't very educated on the products they sell. I also spent over $300 my last trip there and received no samples or anything! I got my makeup done here for the first time and Angela did an amazing job, my makeup was flawless. You are not required to buy products but I loved my foundation and lip color so I had to purchase them. I would highly recommend them for any event. As a bonus I got to enjoy a glass of wine while I was getting glammed. I will definitely use them for future events. read more

A friend and I stopped in on Saturday. No real purchase in mind, just browsing. There were a half dozen ladies in black chatting animatedly on the other side of the store; none of them greeted us or asking us if we needed help. After about 5 minutes I was thinking to myself "that's pretty odd" and just then someone asked me if I needed help (I didn't). She left me to make my selections (fragrances). When I went to the register the manager rang me up. She told me how the gal they had been chatting with was a colleague from 13 years before. She gave me a discount and extended the return period on an item I needed to bring back without my even asking. She gave me several samples, again without my asking. I wandered over to my friend, who was checking out lipsticks. A delightful gal was working on her, trying different products to improve my friend's look. No pushing, just having some fun. She bought several products, and again the manager offered a discount. They even offered me a glass of wine as part of the makeover. In total my friend and I spent about $400 and had a really fun time. That's my kind of shopping!!! read more

Had my daughters 15 bday celebration here and everyone was attentive and so nice! Four girls getting makeovers. The manager gave them gift bags with candy and sample Hourglass mascara and mini lipsticks. The girls were so excited! I was so surprised, I had no idea that they would get gifts! Christina was also great and she help pick out a beautiful blush for me. The staff at Bluemercury is a great addition to Motown. I will definitely be back! read more

Blue Mercury offers a great range of products. It also has some of the worst customer service I've experienced. Without fail, the associates are condescending, unhelpful, and rude. I will gladly drive to Short Hills or order online before stepping foot in this store. read more
