I didn't ask her since she didn't seem to speak English so I just went with it. When I went to pay the owner said $65 (but their gel mani price is $45) and I asked why. He told me it was for the builder gel base. I said I didn't ask for that. Then he started speaking with the girl who did my nails, and another girl sitting next to her. The other woman said "she said you insisted on builder gel" I told them I never said a word about builder gel. The owner said "fine we will charge you $50". At this point I was so done with being there and just paid it and left. Thinking this would be a one-off bad experience, I came in today for a pedicure. I was so disappointed. the girl never turned on the water...so she just cut my nails and painted them. I asked why no water and she said she would after cutting. But no water and the polish is on now. So weird!!

At first I was a little anxious that we were holding up the crowd, but as we received our mini-massages and steady mani/pedi, we were glad we chose this place. Then came the bill. We knew the price going in, but seeing the physical bill made me flinch a bit. However, I believe you pay for what you get, and the service we received that day made us feel like queens. While I can't tell you if the mani/pedi is that much better to justify the high price, I think with this place, it's all about the experience and the atmosphere. Seeing that they've charged other customers $150/160 for more intricate designs on longer nails makes me feel robbed and descriminated against. Hoping I can update this interview soon. Edit: $215 not $250. While beautiful, I went to several salons in the area and not one quoted over $150. A stamp using one color is not an intricate hand painted design. Edit 2: 1stly I ALWAYS tip except this one time where I rightfully felt like I was being robbed. It took 2 nail techs to even do the design because the first didn't know how to use the stamp. I was told pricing was due to my nail length and the "specialty" stamping plates ordered from another country (they are $5 on amazon from China and ofc are reusable). Consistency is what matters. Not robbing your customers based on skin tone is what matters. Customer service and not being rude to loyal customers is what matters. Several people are in the comments complaining about random exorbitant pricing and "Nikki" right beneath me has longer nails and was charged $60 less.
