I got a full gel set on Sunday. Katty did my nails and I have got to say, they were beautiful. She was incredibly kind, took her time, and gave wonderful service. I'll admit, I was a little shocked that it cost $90 for a full set, but I was so pleased initially that I tipped $20. I never had a gel set before, and was told that they would last two to three weeks. But two of my nails broke the next day. I work about an hour away, so it was difficult to make it back for the repair until Thursday. But I called and the receptionist said they would fix my nails for free. When I went in, Katty was not there. But the ladies that were there, were incredibly rude to me. The woman who "fixed" my nails had an attitude, and was really rough, jerking my hand around the entire time. To add to that, her work was terrible. She wanted me out of there and did my nails as quickly and carelessly as possible. The shape is wrong, the gel is thick and uneven, and the service was awful and rude. I want to preface this and say this review is in regards to the SNS dip service I received. This salon is extremely popular for gel and has been a staple in my town for as long as I've been alive. To start -- I appreciate that the business is claimed. I live out of state, visiting my family for the holidays and unfortunately couldn't go to my go-to salon where I religiously get SNS dip every 3 weeks. I was looking for a place that was claimed and offered SNS dip on Yelp. I did not have many options I guess North Central Jersey isn't about SNS dip or claiming their businesses on Yelp. I know Nailtopia is super popular (I grew up in this town) and so when I saw they hit both of my criteria so I made an appointment on their website. They were able to schedule me next day and pretty much any hour I wanted. I appreciated this all. When I walked in I was the only person in there -- once I sat down the salon became super busy, so busy to the point that there were not enough technicians for customers. We were all able to social distance but this is when things got frantic. I looked up to see that there were few options of dip so I already started to second guess my choice of getting dip instead of the salons popular gel option. I decided to ignore my gut feelings and immediately regretted that decision. The women (not sure if owner or manager but was clearly in charge) sat down and I could clearly tell she was flustered. I explained I wanted to have my extremely long nails cut short and I wanted to "start over". I explained that under my already SNS dipped nails that I had my natural nails under the hard cover. She said "ok" and took nail clipper straight to my nails. I WAS HORRIFIED. She didn't even soak off the existing hard dip before cutting just went right to cutting them short. I saw my beautiful nails snap and splinter and I was immediately filled with anxiety. She could tell I was completely tense, I was so tense that she kept having to shake my hands to prompt me to loosen up. It was the most unrelaxing nail salon experience I've ever had. I'm not sure if she was irritated at the fact I was asking for a "special" service or that the place was getting really busy but the entire time she did my nails it felt like I was annoying her. During my service my technician ran back and forth between me and another customer which really did not help my stress or make me feel less like a pain. To make a long story short, the process she did had me thinking in my head "how am I going to nicely tell her I am not going to pay for this?". By the end, she truly redeemed her work but it wasn't until I was out of the door I felt better about what I just experienced. (This sounds dramatic and I felt dramatic while this all was happening but I have never felt this way about a salon). I went to pay and she rang me up for $55. Not an unreasonable price at all but they marketed online that SNS dip was $45. I was frustrated that after everything that happened I was charged more than I went in expecting. Overall, for SNS dip manicure would NOT recommend Nailtopia at all. The entire in-person experience was unpleasant and disappointing. On top of it all, my nails have started to break, crack and splinter within one week. :-( Like I said, I have strictly gotten SNS dip on my nails for the past 2 years so I am no armature to this process. Normally, I don't have these kinds of problems for AT LEAST 3 weeks. read more

My pedicures always look great & the leg massages along with the chair massage is heaven. I always feel very relaxed like I could fall asleep while there. I had one nail that broke a little on the side and another nail that completely broke. They fixed my broken nail and now I don't have to cut it. The other nail they were able to cover and extend my nail, they didn't just attach a fake nail on top of it. I never got this done before but it feels extremely realistic and comfortable. I got gel nails and my mom got a blue French manicure. They both came out great. The pedicure was also good since the chairs massage you while you're getting them done. They also massaged our shoulders while we were getting our nails dried. We will definitely be going back when we are in the area ! read more

I felt very rushed and the woman who did my nails half listened to what I wanted. I asked for red chrome and choose a design that they offered on the color pallets. The shape is crooked on all my nails and the chrome looks more matte, and she forgot what design I wanted and picked a random white one. I paid $135 for this. Not worth it. read more

I have visited Nailtopia in the past and been satisfied. Today I booked an appointment for a pedicure and requested Sonja. I arrived at the appointed time and was told to wait a few minutes. Ten minutes later a girl took me to the footpath. She started to do my pedicure. I told her I had asked for Sonja. She said she was Sonja. I told her the girl across the room was whom I expected. She said ok she can do it, she is Sonja too.I waited another 20 minutes. Then another girl started doing my pedicure who wasn't Sonja either. I thought maybe I was mistaken. When I went to the cashier I asked him to give my tip to Sonja, he said Sonja didn't do your pedicure, Anna did. Never again! They don't honor your appointment time or your request for a pedicurist. The ladies that work there were speaking in Spanish about us just because they were going to have to work 5 minutes late. We were basically pushed out the door. Went in yesterday with my Mom for manicure and pedicure. They could not have been nicer! Really genuinely nice! Their regular pedicure was great, they give you a choice of cucumber or grapefruit scrub. My legs are still smooth! My Mom loved her manicure, and she can be very picky. Not really happy with my pedicure... the lady really didnt speak English, it was quite painful when she cut my cuticles (pretty sure she cut me and it will scab tomorrow... this has happened before so I know), they really had only a limited selection of colors, and they charged an additional $15 for callus removal (usually only $5 extra at my usual place, and usually not more than $10 at most places I've gone to!). I also asked them to do a simple design on my daughter's large toe (a palm tree) and they had to get someone else to do it and I kinda heard the first lady say something to the effect of "a flower would've been fine"... also a few other salons I've gone to include a neck and shoulder rub for free but this place charges you an extra $15 for 10 minutes, and it's not even in a chair massager! Out manicurist didnt even offer to remove the toilet paper between our toes; was more interested in her phone. I was disappointed because the previous reviews were rather good, which is what brought us here, but unfortunately my experience did not match. Went to much better salons with more experience and finesse. Ouch! Anything but relaxing :-/ will not be back! I feel bad because the main woman was nice, but overall I was disappointed read more
