The salon is located in the downtown Madison area. Super cute town with lots of great places to shop n eat. I usually park on the street and don't have a problem (never even bothered to look for a parking lot- I'm sure there has to be one). I've been going to polished lounge for about a year and a half and, "there's no way you'll leave there in a bad mood"- words of another client but so true! You'll get your nails done, get some awesome food suggestions and laugh out loud to random stories. They've made it such a comfortable (yet professional) atmosphere that the clients interact and relaxing isn't an issue. The prices are extremely reasonable, it's clean, and they do a great job with the nails. I love that there is never a long wait- they do accept walk ins but it's best to make an appointment. If they are booked they'll suggest a later time or day so they don't keep clients waiting. There isn't a color they don't have or a design they can't do- definitely worth checking out. read more

If I could give one star to this god awful place I would. First, I was ignored for 15 minutes and had to wait on purpose for a mani/pedi. While I was waiting on the pedicure, the staff was walking around laughing at me. Moreover, they were prioritizing other yt customers over me (I'm an African-American lady and lesbian by the way). However, I was ignored and laughed at. The actual pedicure was lackluster. The mani-pedi was terrible. The polish did not stay on my nails and I had to get the manicure twice. Also, the staff at this place got my sexual orientation wrong-I am actually a lesbian. The staff at this terrible nail place got my orientation wrong and used the wrong orientation. I had my pedicure and gel manicure first time here since it is closed to my house. Pedicure was ok. But I don't recommend gel manicure. The way she polish my nail make my nails very thin and fragile and you felt like you are going to lose your nail. Completely bad experience here. First of all the communication barrier was terrible. The owner of the salon started my nails and then a male took over who I believe is her father. He put way too much gel on my nails. Then he tried to shape them but was filing so hard that my fingers hurt. When I pulled away and said ouch more than once he basically caught an attitude with me telling me that it didn't hurt. I was so disappointed. I called to talk to the owner who then told me to come back that she would fix my nails. The day of my appointment I was running late so I called to let them know and she told me that she had only set aside 1/2 hour to fix them so I would have to reschedule. Honestly DISGUSTED by this place. This was my first time going and decided to try it due to their COVID precautions. However, AFTER I got my nails done, THEY CHARGED $97 for a GARBAGE job!!!!! Yes they followed COVID precautions but that's about it. I booked an appointment online for a "Gel Full Set" which was $65 although it says $40 online. Then they charged me $10 for coffin shaped (which was not coffin shaped - see pics) and $10 for "advanced" design, although online says $5 for basic, I got TWO nails done, how is that advanced?? Then they charge $10 for GEL POLISH!! What exactly is included in "gel" full set if the polish isn't included? I've NEVER been to a salon that charged this much. ON TOP OF EVERYTHING, the girl didn't file under my nail so they are sharp and there's little pieces of gel falling off (pics). And lastly $5 for PPE precautions - FOR WHAT?? They had plexiglass installed (not disposable so what did that actually cost them?!) and they were wearing only a disposable mask that they probably don't change. No gloves, face masks for anything like that. Highly recommend NOT going to this place. read more

Bright, clean, comfortable, accommodating, reasonable prices (& get a card and get a discount for every 10 visits) plus tons of colors in both polish and gels and wonderful artistic ability to do special nail designs. How could they be anything but 5 stars? I have been there monthly for a year and found them nothing but friendly and professional. I moved from Florida to New Jersey, 8 months ago. I was looking for a nail place to go to, I asked my friends if they recommend any places. They told me about polished nail lounge, I started going to this place 4 months ago. I got a new set in acrylic and he did a horrible job first the polish was clumping. So I kept going but I went to Someone els, she did a okay job. Fast forward to a couple weeks later my nails need a fill and they are booked so I find a different nail salon and they take off my nails. My thumb looks disgusting. He said they did not do the acrylic right and they use cheap products. The acrylic wasn't sealed to my real nail so water would get in the middle. I had to take off my nails and let them breathe. I've had acrylic nails all the time in Florida this has never happened to me. I'm so angry and frustrated because now my nail thumb is messed up and I almost got fungus. If I would've kept going to that place not knowing this was happening I can't image how my fingers would look. This place I don't recommend it at all !!! Mylien has been doing my eyelashes for YEARS - I have tried places closer to home and was consistently disappointed with the quality and pricing as compared to Polished. I constantly get asked where I get my lashes done because they look so good and so natural. Plus the owner is a doll and so much fun to chat with. Don't do eyebrow waxing here! I go to Fairleigh Dickinson University which is near this place so when I was looking to do my nails one day, I came to this nail salon to get my nails done and I liked how they came out. So yesterday, when my friend wanted to get acrylics for the first time she asked me where to go, and I introduced her to the place and even went with her. I then found out they did eyebrow tinting, and I was intrigued. The dad and the daughter duo there were telling "yea, go for it you should do it", and I finally gave in and decided to do it. The employee that did my eyebrows messed up during the waxing though, the tail was incredible but the beginning of my eyebrow wasn't at all. They looked different and she took too much eyebrow hair off one eyebrow, and my eyebrows looked like they were going opposite directions (one was going down and the other one going up), I didn't notice this until she was cleaning up the tint. I hadn't looked at my eyebrows until she did the tinting. So when I was telling her what to do to fix them, the tint wouldn't stay if there was no hair. She called the daughter (whose name I don't know) to fix them, and just left me there until I saw her come in. She tried tinting it more but it wouldn't work so when I explained she asked whether I want her to fix it by taking out more hair from the other one. And I told her that even if she would, then there be no hair at all, at this point all I could do to fix it was pencil it in. She just said okay, but none offered to at least let me have a discount even though they messed up my eyebrows. So now when the tinting goes away, I'm going have to pencil in my eyebrows every day, because there's no hair at the beginning. It's like she didn't understand that it wasn't the tinting they messed up, it was the waxing. I left upset and they didn't even care because they still charged me the whole $30. I'm never going back, not even to do my nails. That experience ruined it for me. And I definitely won't recommend this place to my friends. read more

They were nice, but very unprofessional. I waited 25 minutes while 2 employees were busy and the third just sat there.... Thought I'd get a full nail set, which was clearly a mistake. Later, while I sat, waiting for someone to come FINISH my nails, they ass-kissed and catered to a very annoying regular. I can see why; probably very few regulars. Technique was awful, rushed, sloppy, and steps were done in the wrong order. I'VE done a better job myself. I sat with my regular nail polish in the Gel UV driers for god knows how long because, "it prevents wrinkles before you use the gel top coat." Which was yet another terrible application. Guess what. Woke up this morning with almost every nail covered in wrinkles. Definitely won't be returning nor recommending to anyone I know. read more

The shop is very clean and bright, I felt very comfortable and welcome. There was a great option for the colors and she did such a great job with the fill. I can't even believe how awful this place was! Don't let the fact that they charge more that average fool you. This is the most unhygenic place I've ever had a manicure at. The man who did my manicure started cleaning under my nails with this own fingernails! My nails were cut uneven, he over filed the tops of my nails even when I asked him to stop and when he went to put on the polish, I had to point out that there was old polish on a few nails which again he attempted to scrape off with his own fingernails!! (The tools definitely weren't clean either). I had to keep asking him to use nail polish remover to take it off and to also to use on the rest of my nails (which is a normal step in a manicure before polish). I paid extra for the Opi Infinite Shine which I happen to know cures under natural light. Of course they placed me under a dryer with no light. I kept telling him that I need light to cure this nail polish, he kept disagreeing. Ironically, there were a few brochures for this polish at the dryer with directions that say this. They don't even know how to use a product they charge extra for! The barely lasted a week (not the 2 weeks promised). Stay away from this placed unless you want a bad, overpriced, dirty manicure done by someone who doesn't even know how to give a manicure! read more

I called ahead to see if they could do two mani/pedis and was told coming in now was fine. We walked in and every employee was busy with another client and as we were there we saw 2 more girls come in WITH APPOINTMENTS which meant they had no time for us anyway. The guy started the water for the pedicures and we waited over 15 minutes until someone came out to start my pedicure. By this time my mom's water was already cold and she had to take her feet out. I decided to let the lady finish the pedicure because I was being nice but $22 JUST FOR THE PEDICURE with no massage and a paint job that I could've done better myself was a ripoff. We walked out after that because I was not giving them anymore of my time or money. If you are in town and want amazing service go down the street a little bit to Rose City Nails.
