Lovely!! Best Nail salon in the area. My daughters and I love the atmosphere, the nail techs, and…read morethe manager/owner. They do a great job.

I have been going to Jane's for over 10 years through different owners and management. Today was my…read morelast day going there. It's unfortunate because some of the employees are good but the new manager has no hospitality skills and customer service whatsoever. Since I just had my nails done last week I just wanted a color change and was willing to pay the price for a fill-in. I was told that the fillin price was $53 - fine. So when I sat down with the nail tech, she said to me, your nails are fine. You really don't need a fill-in. How about I just do a color change? I said oh that would be great. I didn't realize that you could do that. fast-forward to when it came time to pay first the manager said $75 which included my pedicure then I said $75 and questioned it because I knew that I was just supposed to be paying for a color change. Then she replied. Oh no wait it's actually $85. I stood there in disbelief and asked her to explain what could be the extra $55 charge since I only had a color change and not a fill in and a fill in would've been $53. She struggled to come up with what it was but told me that I was paying for a gel manicure price which is the gel polish, and then because I had French that it was extra. Seems like an odd amount extra but sure. OK. If we really wanted to split hairs, I could've added that got no polish for my (15 minute) pedicure. I wish I just got the fill in so that my nails wouldn't need an actual fill in within the next week and a half. Needless to say good customer service would've been oh wait you're right that doesn't make any sense. If you had a fill-in it would've been cheaper which is also what I tried to explain to her to no avail. Thanks Janes employees for your years of service. I will never be back. A lot of the older and more experience employees have also gone to new locations. Just a note.

The UV gel nails here are gorgeous. However they only do regular french or pink and white, which I…read morelike. Also, they are very expensive, but that's North Jersey. Jean (I'm pretty sure that was her name) did my pink and white gels for the first time. I received nothing but compliments constantly, and most people thought they were my natural nails. When I first came in my nails were uneven and with the white gel Jean built extensions to make my nails even. It was time consuming, but she was meticulous and skilled. My nails were truly exquisite and I thought I don't care how much this costs, I'm always doing this from now on. I'm pretty sure she gave me a discount from $120 to $80 for the set that day. I came back for a fill thinking the white would be retouched, but it was not. For a simple fill of the pink gel over the existing gel is $35. The nails still look nice, but they don't have that same wow factor. If you want to make them work and repaint the white and pink that is $50. I was happy with my fill overall, but the gel was not applied to the base of my cuticle so my nails looked a week old. I like this place, but the second time the job was just too half-assed so I have since gone elsewhere. Pedicures are nice. The chairs are big and comfy. They cost $20 alone and $25 for mani/pedi. The only male I've ever seen works there gives amazing massages.

I feel very ambivalent about this salon…read more I walked in, totally on impulse, because I had an hour to kill before the train back to NY. I said I wanted a "Spa Pedicure" and they put me in the chair right away. (For some reason, I didn't ask how much, I just assumed around $20, because the sign outside said Mani-Pedi $25.) What followed was the best pedicure of my life. He worked on me forever! I got Saran wrap on my legs with some sort of mask, sea salt scrub, lotion massage, then he starts doing reflexology! I was sitting there the whole time thinking, "Oh my God, this place is amazing....it's like a $50 pedicure, and I'm only paying $20!!!" Except....it wasn't. So after I'm all painted and relaxed and drying, he says $50. WHAT???!!!! And I look on the wall and see, Reg Pedi-$20, European Pedi-$35, European Pedi w/Reflexology-$50. And I paid it, because I felt so stupid for not asking in the first place. So you see my dilemma. Yes, it was amazing at the time, and he was very skilled, but I felt taken advantage of since he gave me a pedicure I didn't specifically ask for. So. I suppose the lesson here is to know exactly what you are getting, and you DO get what you pay for.
