I appreciate that they took me as a walk in on a busy Saturday morning but they used acrylic powder as a dip and the nail came out very curved, lumpy and thick. I've bounced around morristown quite a bit looking for my nail place. I finally found it. The inside is absolutely beautiful and the staff is so kind. I've gotten an appt every time I call (which I 100% recommend doing if you can) and they are always running on time. Jason does my dip nails and he is a miracle worker. My dip used to chip within a week when I'd get it elsewhere. Here? I can go 3 before I have to go back. I had one freak accident where a dip nail chipped within 24 hours, I called, jason fixed it for free and refused to accept an additional tip (and believe me I tried). What a class act, really. I will continue to go here for all my needs and am a huge fan of this place overall. 10/10 read more

I found Viva on a walk through downtown Morristown and what a find! I was greeted promptly by Michell who said it could be an up to 30 minute wait. This is a place where many call ahead and schedule an appointment. I picked out a color and sat on the comfy couch in the corner. I waited less than 10 minutes and Michell called me. She did a great job with a regular polish manicure. She took the time to trim the skin around the top of my nails, which really makes a difference for me. My favorite though is the stone hand massage and lotion. Oh so decadent! Michell had me trimmed and painted and at the dryers within 15 minutes and gave me a back rub there too! And all this for $13+ tip! In California where I live, that would be $20 for everything. They are open 7 days a week. The salon is nothing special in terms of appearance but the customer service and nice touches like complimentary gum at the end make this a pretty special place. Go visit Michell today! I have to give it a 3 because the price for dip power manicure is high (55 after taxes) and it's chipped within the first week. Actually first 5 days. Mediocre. As someone who gets her nails done frequently, I'm a bit picky on where I go. My friends and I were in the area to celebrate my best friend's birthday. She was excited to get her first pedicure and also a manicure to match. My other friend and I were excited to be able to treat her to this experience. I really did wish I just took her elsewhere. I called ahead earlier that week and had specifically asked for 3 pedicures. When we walked in, we were asked to choose a color but then I was told they couldn't seat all 3 of us together. I looked up and saw that there was space for 2 of us to sit together and 1 person had to sit all the way on the opposite end. We weren't upset to be split if there was no choice, but 5 min after we began our pedicures, 2 seats opened up next to our other friend. Why couldn't you just ask us to wait 5 minutes so we could all be together? It was a little annoying but not enough for us to knock the place. 2 of us were immediately offered a bottle of water which was nice...and I guess our other friend was just expected to stay parched. All of us agreed that the pedicure massage was ROUGH. It hurt more than a typical massage i've ever received. My lady kept eyeing me and rolling her eyes that I was in pain...like what? My other friend said that the exfoliating scrub they used made her legs really itchy and red. But no one seemed to care. The pedicure polish was meh. My final look has bumps and it's clear the application was uneven. My other 2 friends decided to get gel manicures, and man did this start up a whole confusion for this place. The place was near empty, and the staff made it known that they were annoyed. We're sorry for asking for a service that'll give you more money? Best part of it all is that they were speaking Korean and I could understand every single word. I was so ready to fight them if they kept saying how annoyed they were at my friends. They had so much to say, but didn't let one peep out to make conversation with my friends. My one friend's manicurist saw it was her birthday and STILL made no attempt at conversation. He messed up her nail design a few times and kept huffing and puffing that he had to start over. We get that it can be frustrating, but you should NEVER do that in front of the customer. This was my second time here and it did not disappoint. Jason did an awesome job on my nails. He was very meticulous, and the work is clean. There is a little dent in my right hand but I think that was from my keys when I got into my car. The gold was done with a paint brush. My pedicure was from Maria and she did an excellent job. Since they reopened last year their Covid compliance is excellent both for sanitizing and amount of people allowed, I just came home from a pedicure/manicure and it makes me so sad to see how business has reduced due to Covid. Reasonably priced (I think $35 or so for mani / pedi both, if I recall), as opposed to $50 for *just* pedicure in the Washington DC area. I'm used to $20-40 for mani / pedis (both) in San Francisco. Polish was good - stayed shiny for a long time afterwards (my pedicure looked great 3-weeks following), and the color on both my hands and feet was applied evenly. However, when I specifically requested my toenails be cut short, they cut them *too* short, as in not within the safe parameters. They should be licensed to know the parameters of what "short" means (within acceptable boundaries / guidelines). It was so short, it was not only a potential sanitary issue, it also hurt and was uneven. Big no-no. The back massage at the end was a welcome treat (just like we do in SF), but not as good as SF (as most things seem to be, since returning back to the East Coast). read more

I really go based off reviews so i felt that this one was important. I got my nails done with Jason. I got a uv gel set which is $88 dollars he did the worst job all corners had no build up gel, i asked for coffin nails and no nail had the same shape or length . I even gave a generous tip because i know how hard people work! but When i asked him to fix it politely he filed my natural nail down to the point that they are bruised and hurt, he completely refused to fix it properly although i explained to him how he should fix it. Extremely overpriced and poor customer service. I have had UV gel sets for 5 years and by far this is the worst experience I've had. My friend and I drove over half hour just to revisit this nail salon. We both loved this place so much the very first time we came here. The interior is clean they add nice little amenities like a refrigerator with water bottles, and jarful of chewing gums by the drying area. Shoulder heating pad and a quick little back massage also come with manicure. In the summer time they apply real aloe over arms and hands as a nice finishing touch. It's nice to be pampered this way :) The service is exceptional. I had 2 different nail artists do my gel manicures and on both occasions they were very meticulous and precise. My gel mani would last beyond 2 weeks with no problem; given that my job requires lots of hands on tasks I'm very satisfied with the results. I found this place after, I had gone to a "popular" nail salon. This "popular" nail place gave me someone so new. I ended up leaving. I walked down Broadway and ran into a woman leaving Viva nails. I asked how they were, and she told me they were great. I have gone twice now. It is not fancy. Tony is incredible. I love it, because it is small and personal. Unlike the larger places, that get you in and out fast. He offers $10 off your first visit for anything they offer. I will never go back to any other place. As I said, it's not fancy. Been to this nail salon a few times since I moved to Morristown. It's been hit or miss. If you need a great pedicure this is a good place to go and the prices are reasonable. For SNS, I wouldn't recommend. I have gotten SNS at multiple other salons and this one is limited in the colors that they offer and they didn't stay on long. Also, at many other salons they put on a base coat and have had multiple experiences here where they wasn't the case. I prefer to have 3 coats when I do SNS and have had push back multiple times. Again, great place for pedicures but wouldn't recommend SNS. read more

I am new to Morristown and tried this location for the first time. As someone who has worked in restaurants for a long time, and knows how crucial reviews can be, I do not leave negative ones lightly. Though, this place deserves it. They were mean and aggressive. When my acrylic were done I mentioned they were not straight, she said it was and it was fine. The picture attached shows how slanted they are while it is still worse in person. This also looks like my 6 year old niece painted my nails. I had mentioned it to her how there was paint all over my fingers. She took some polish off my fingers but not much. The picture attached is also after I have taken some more polish off myself. I also went with a friend who did not like her color. The gentlemen doing her nails basically said too bad. She asked if he could at least make it a French to cover some (as she thought the color was translucent) and he was not happy about either. I spent $105 (before tip) for a pedicure and acrylic set which I believe is pricey to begin with. I would have expected it to be perfect. I will not be returning. read more

Great mani/pedi, but I can't stand behind a business that treats employees unfairly or at least what I deem unfair. Every time I go in there the Spanish employees are ONLY doing the pedicures and the Asian employees are ONLY doing the manicures. They did a wonderful job with my nails. I didn't feel like the manicurist was rushing the manicure and pedicure. And like other reviews stated below, they are taking the necessary COVID precautions seriously, so I do feel comfortable coming here for a mani/pedi. My only complaint would be that their prices seem to be on the higher end for nail salons in the area. The pedicure was so relaxing and Yesi did a great job massaging my legs/feet for a while with scrub, lotion, aloe, and hot rocks. I haven't had a regular manicure in a long time and am more than pleased with the results. Manicure also included aloe, lotion, and hot rocks. In dire need of a fill in, I searched Yelp & Viva nails popped up with pretty good reviews. Works for me!, I navigated my way there after work, paid to park and walked over. The lady at the first station asked me what I needed I said fill in, she said what kind? "gel or pink & white gel?" "Gel," I replied. She looked at me at said "80." "80? 80 dollars?!?!?!?!" I had to ask to make sure my ears were hearing correctly. "yep!," she replied with a smirk. I asked how much for pink & white, she quoted me $100. I've been getting my nails done for the better part of 20 years in different states and cities along the east coast and I have NEVER paid that much. Like everyone said, it's pricier--but it's worth it. For a mani-pedi you only save $2 on the bundle, but it's $37 instead of $27 for the ped and $12 for the mani. The 'callus pedi' is $10 more and they use a tough scrubber instead of the scary grater the cheaper places use. The work they do seems the same to me in the end--ie both types of places do a good job on your nails--but here you pay for a slightly more spalike experience. Out the door with tips for about $60. Chipped a nail getting ready for bed, which is why I only get a mani once in a blue moon for a special occasion or treat.
