I started coming here at the beginning of 2019 when I made a resolution for more self-care, and I absolutely love it. It's clean and the staff are friendly. I get gel extensions and a pedicure regularly. They also do fun designs on my nails based off photos I bring in for a $15 charge. They will clean up any chips or broken nails for no charge within 1 week on my extensions too. Highly recommend this place. Do make an appointment to if you plan to go on a Saturday. read more

I took my daughter there to get her tips soaked off and a regular manicure. I didn't stay because of covid. They butchered her fingers taking off her tips in a barbaric way. They never soaked them. When we got home, I realized there was still glue on all her nails. All they did was rip off the tips. Horrible. They took advantage of a young teen. Stay away. read more

I always get a pedicure with a 20 minute extra massage. I've never had a bad one but today Isabel did amazing. I was so relaxed which I really needed. I called around 5:40pm and asked what time they close, which they said 7pm. I asked if I can come in for a mani / pedi / eyebrow wax at 6pm, and they said fine. Same as the other reviews on here, it was completely rushed because I was the only customer and they wanted to close shop. The lady who did my eyebrows had just shoved Ritz crackers in her mouth, and was still chewing them while leaning over me to do the wax. Mind you, she was also blowing on the hot wax, so i'm sure there were particles of her crackers all over my face. The pedicure was rushed, and during it Ritz cracker lady came over and started doing my manicure. She was filing my nails, and the shavings were getting all over my legs and coat; it was disgusting. When the pedicure was done, she continued with the manicure, which was the most painful one I have ever received. She kept digging her nails into the sides on my fingers, and whenever she would cut my cuticle by accident, she didn't apologize. Do not go here. read more

The only place in Mo-town that I can count on for a decent pedicure! I have been coming to Sky Nails for years, once I find a salon I like I stick with them. Sure, there are of course variations between different the different employees, but every pedi includes a great leg massage, hot stones, exfoliation, and a shoulder massage at the end. Prices are comparable to other salons in the area. The salon is always clean and there are always other people in there (I've never been the only customer in the shop). I'm always greeted nicely by the employees and the owner. Don't go on Saturday, you'll be in for a wait. I usually go during the week after work and am able to be taken care of right away. read more

I usually love this place but as of lately I've been really annoyed. I walked in 30 minutes before closing and asked if they had time to a pedicure which they were tentative about but said yes. The whole thing was so rushed, I usually love their long massages but it lasted all of 60 short seconds. Then she was rushing the actually painting process so much she asked me to turn off the massage function on the chair so she could go faster. She didn't wipe off the excess polish she got all over my toes from rushing either when she was done. I would have MUCH rather been told to come back tomorrow so I could have had a better experience. Also, she asked me to pay before I even sat down because they were closing. I hope they can readjust their attitudes and get me leaving happy the next time I come. read more

I stopped in here around 11 am on a Thursday afternoon for a simple manicure (no polish change, no french, no gel) - I did not have an appointment but they took me within 15 minutes. Overall, the experience was "eh" and the manicure was worse. It was very very rushed and the polish didn't even make it to Monday morning. The polish began to peel, not at the tips - like expected - but rather around the nail bed. I was asked to pay and tip before I even sat down and I just felt like the whole experience super rushed, especially considering the place was empty. Also, I got a very neutral color, but it was still able to show that the second coat did not even fully cover the 1st coat. I left feeling as though I could have done better myself. read more

Terribly disappointing pedicures. The girls who work there do a half hearted job, act sullen, and worst of all, my feet didn't look one bit like they had had a pedicure. They always seem to nick me somewhere on the toes. Dead rough skin still on my toes and heels. Been there a few times, and not had a good experience under the new management. Sky nails is ok. I've had some great manicures here but just recently my manicure was terrible. It really depends on who does it. The woman I had last time cut my nails to nubs but didn't cut my cuticles? My nails are uneven, both in shape and in color. And my polish is already chipping, not even a day later. They charge $5 more for the week long nail polish. Beyond the fact that this seems like a really big scam, the color selection of the "good" polish is seriously lacking. I haven't have gels or a pedicure so I can't comment on those. I think you just have to be really really specific about what you want or luck into having someone who knows what they're doing. read more

Quiet place Too rushed Pedicure was done in less than 40 min Foot massage felt like a 2 yr old was doing it. Friendly BEWARE: their nail polishes are altered. Terrible place. They tell you they have time to do your nails when they don't and then it's rushed. The pedicure massage time is about 1 minute total. The boss lady is strange and rude. The woman who gave me my pedicure did an amazing job. I asked for a basic pedicure with an add on of a callus scrub which I understand is extra: $10.00 to be exact flip flops because I forgot to bring my own $5.00. What I CAN'T begin to understand is why the OWNER is charging me for a French nail polish color. $5.00 extra for French. Why? It's not extra polish? It's not acrylic or gel? When I asked she just said it's extra and that's basically it. Now I have a 5 month old baby at home, this was my time away, I really wanted French on my toenails. This really bothered me and totally ruined my experience. I am giving this place an A-OK because my mother and I have been going here for a few years now and it all depends on the time of day you go, and who you get to do your manicure / pedicure. For example, when they are in a "rush" they take their time on the pedicure, but if you are getting a manicure, they do your manicure in the pedicure spa seat. So, you're sitting there with your torso twisted to the side while they are giving you a speedy manicure. They do not take the time for your manicure. read more

I went on a Saturday and it was pretty busy. My mani and pedi look great. However the price was the same as most other local places who spend more time on you. My feet are definitely not soft like they should be after a pedicure. They didn't give me the wax for my heels either . I typically hop around from salon to salon, but I am sticking with this place. She did a brisa gel fill and had matching opi gel colors for nails/toes (also had the up to date DC collection). She also did a collagen hand mask afterward which is included with all gel manicures. It is very clean and has a trendy feel.
