They are always on time for appointments, but the quality and time to get things done does vary. I have been going for over a year and generally enjoy my experience, but sometimes leave unsatisfied. Most of the technicians do a great job but I don't know any of their names so I don't know who to request when I schedule. I just paid 180 dollars for a regular mani pedi that are bubbled and look like I did it myself. $180 is ludicrous even if it's a fabulous and flawless mani pedi ...it's Florham Park...not 5th Avenue. I typically pay about 65-70 depending on what I get at ANY OTHER NAIL SALON. At first I thought she said $80. I figured I can get over a crap mani pedi for $80. Then I looked at the machine and saw the dreaded 1 in front of the 80 and felt myself getting FURIOUS. I said nothing. I wouldn't want them to think I'm poor while they're technically robbing me. The place is beautiful. I'll give it that. But I feel like I just got sucker punched. I should have known by the fact that there is no pricing on the website and the typical service pricing is hard to find in the store. This was absolutely nothing special...the end result is sub par to any mani pedi I've ever gotten. I recently moved from Bethesda and stumbled upon this nail salon. I enrolled in their unlimited membership approximately 5 months ago ($159. per month). The salon uses natural, chemical-free products. My nails are in great condition; however, I do miss some of my favorite OPI colors. Pros: The salon is clean and experienced nail technicians (Angelica, Hilda, Jennifer and Mary are fantastic) enable you to leave the salon with beautiful, long-lasting nails. Added bonus is the sparkling water and friendly atmosphere. Great smelling products/lotions. Last but certainly not least, I appreciate the sterilization procedures that are consistently employed to ensure a healthy nail experience. Cons: No massage chairs (don't mind not having the spa bath because of germs), no OPI products, scheduling can be difficult for those who work due to limited store hours (weekdays close either 6 or 7), as one would expect massages vary by technician (some are longer/better than others), technicians book up quickly so if you need an early evening or weekend appointment you need to book in advance, especially if you want a gel mani/pedi. Overall, I recommend this salon and have truly enjoyed visiting the salon twice a month. As others have stated it's not the cheapest, but it is consistent...every technician I have had has been great! read more

CLEAN! Love this nail salon! It's extremely clean, they open all tools in front of you and are constantly disinfecting and cleaning. There are no jets in the basin for your feet which means there's no nasty bacteria hiding in them. Claire the manager is very helpful and sweet, all the ladies are great. The nails last and if you happen to get a chip they are happy to get it fixed. They use good quality polishes and gels and the lights used for the gel are LED not UV. The app used for scheduling the appointments is so easy to use. I also love the automatic checkout, you get your nails done and you're out the door. No need to wait for anyone to check out. It would be near perfect if they upgraded the chairs, they are a bit uncomfortable and can't recline. Wish they had the massage chairs or at the very lease recline like all the other salons to make the experience that much better. read more

The cleanliness of the salon and the impeccable care they took to follow all of the CDC guidelines in the era of COVID was top notch. The first manicure I had was the best manicure I've ever had in my life. The second time was not a great experience. The Good : pretty inside , serves you a glass of tea or water , clean , higher end products, and put a heated neck wrap on you. The Bad : 1. Without a promotion or membership , its not worth the money. paid $30.00 with promotion for basic pedicure , would regularly cost a walk in $55. 2. Nail polish has chipped off in one week. 3.Uncomfortable non massage chairs . 4.Very little to no massage on legs . 5. No extra paraffin treatment on heels like others do. Not only did my girl do a great job on my both my manicure and pedicure, but she was friendly and upbeat and very accommodating with my requests. I have many mixed feelings about Prose. The good: there are some excellent nail artists there and everyone is extremely kind. They are also super clean which I love! The bad: As a member, you don't get many perks. The price isn't any cheaper (it's a bit more than most nail places, $45 for pedicure and $45 for gel manicure). It can be super hard to schedule and you must do it days in advance or you won't get an appointment. As someone with a busy schedule, this just didn't work for me. Because of this I have had to "freeze" my account several times to catch up on the dollars I pay monthly (once was very sick for a few months and had to freeze it) - but they charge $10 a month just for that and it does not go toward any service. That was extremely frustrating. You also can't use your member dollars for a tip, so you still have to bring money or charge your credit card every visit. In the end, it may not be worth it for you. read more

Um no, just no. I get the "all natural" which is great but, no massage chair, no jets in the sink bowls, no zen like music, no neck massage, no paraffin,no stone massage. Did I say no enough? There's a TV with continuous ads to join their club. I'm all for pampering, quality and not afraid to spend money but just no. The most money I have ever paid for the worst pedicure I have ever had. "Artist" who did my pedicure was certainly not experienced. The pedicure was rushed although the salon was empty. The leg massage was uninspired, short and not relaxing. Very little time was taken to push back my cuticles and it shows in the final product. At then end of the pedicure, I noticed that there was a spot missing color. She applied another coat and then said it had to be redone. As I waited and waited and waited she began working with another client. I left. This place will not last unless they hire technicians who are not only experienced but as importantly care about giving their clients good service. I will not return. read more

How stinking cute is this mani color palette !!! I love this place! Wendy is a rock star and cracks me up for my entire visit! Not to mention Geralynn who is also awesome! I love the owner Claire and her assistant Lauren who bend over backwaRds to work your appointment in your schedule. The place is fresh and modern and CLEANNN. I mean reallly clean. No reuse of tools, they dispose of them after use and disinfect via UV where they can't dispose. They use LED lights for gels so none of that bad UV cure time for your hands, the products (nail polish and creams) specifically curated to not have harmful chemicals and are all natural based prOducts. The products also smell amazing like that good natural I want to wake up on an island and live off of the green earth positive energy kind of smell of you know what I mean LOL! You feel great when you leave this place and know they are giving you good products for your body too!! SO you can really look and feel like your best self! read more

I had a pedicure today and it was so nice! I love Deborah Lippmann nail polish because they're 7-free and the colors are super chic. The products were all high end - I think the brand for foot products was called Margaret dabbs. The first time special price is $30 but regular pedis are $50 so it is pricey compared to any other local nail salon. considering they're not using cheap lotions and scrubs though, it's worth it if you care about quality. Do NOT come here. I came here for the first time for a routine gel manicure. My technician was clearly inexperienced and did a terrible job/took way too long with a very simple line design AND they overcharged me for the extra time. The massage was almost nonexistent. I had a so-so experience here! I was looking for a nice and affordable nail salon near my new job, and stumbled upon Prose while walking to Kings last week (as its right next door). When I walked in today, they were empty and someone was able to help me right away! It was nice to be served the botanical tea, upon sitting down, but the chair was super stiff and uncomfortable. I really prefer massage chairs! I didn't mind having no jet in the foot bath, but I felt that overall, this took wayyyyy to much time. I had to pick my daughter up from daycare and I spent two hours for a mani pedi that cost me $70 (not including tip). I wish they gave a massage rather than neck wrap and that prices were more reasonable. Not sure I will return. read more

I really wanted to like Prose... but for inordinately steep prices, service is well below standard for this area. In my experience the employees are overly nice during the first visit (concluding in a pitch to sell the membership), but service becomes quite careless in subsequent visits. Some issues include nail artists being careless in overfilling, picking skin until it bleeds, filing "square" nails so that they're completely slanted. "Long-lasting" gel polish consistently peels off completely within days of appointments. There's an overall lack of consideration for cultivating a nice atmosphere (music played tends to be obnoxious and television screens in the pedicure area only show a slideshow of repetitive advertisements for Prose). Additionally, your Prose membership account funds cannot be used for gratuity. It seems that, being structured as a chain/franchise, Prose operates as a chain/franchise in the sense that employees seem disengaged and largely unskilled / unprofessional. Employees are either quite rude, dismissive, or super sales-y. I hope this is something which can improve, however I would caution prospective guests to take these factors into consideration before investing time and money in services at Prose. In Morris County alone there is no shortage of actually nice nail salons- most of which you'll find have far more appropriate prices, more offerings, and much nicer atmospheres than Prose. read more

I love coming in and getting my warm neck wrap, cup of tea and then sinking into a pedicure or manicure. It's a very different kind of mani/pedi place. I joined Prose last month and just got a gel manicure and pedicure from Wendy and I must say everything was fantastic!! She's very knowledgeable about the products she is using, she took the time to massage/clean cuticles and at the end I had clean and neatly painted nails! So let me preface this by saying that this review has nothing to do with the individual Prose nails location in Florham Park. Everyone there was very courteous. However when I went to check out I noticed that I was being charged $10 more than the listed price for a gel manicure. This was a charge listed right on the service price list counter. When I inquired they told me it was because I was not a member. So rather than charging the regular going rate for a gel manicure for nonmembers and then offering members a savings off that price, they are up charging/punishing nonmembers. In addition, I'm curious as to why actual members haven't figured out that they are not saving anything by being a Prose "member" because the price of their gel manicure is already over what is being charged in most other salons in the area for the exact same service. I've had other people tell me this same complaint about Prose and how they stopped going for that reason. Guess it took me a little longer to come to my senses. read more
