I used $35 on it a month ago, and today when I went to use the remaining, they insisted this was not a gift certificate, but a rewards card and refused to accept it. It's not that the manicure looks bad, but I may have as well just payed for a polish change. I used to come here frequently because the manicures were great, but I am not sure what happened to that. Just had to come in my car and re-shape my nails. They do not have good color selections for a regular manicure unless you want to pay $30 for a dazzle dry manicure. Not a good place to go for a "walk in" and not have an appointment. I treated my daughter to a manicure/pedicure and they moved her from one manicurist to the next. Changed manicurists 3 times. As people w/appointments arrived they took her person away. Why they just didn't give her a person w/no scheduled appointments is beside me. Worst service. Never going back. I went another time by myself and they left me sitting in cold water for my pedicure until a person without an appointment could do my pedicure. Got my nails done here for a few months before the pandemic hit. The last time I went was around July and after that experience I decided to never go back. I'm not sure what happened but I do not appreciate the service I was given. The first 3 times I went were great and I loved my nails each time. Upon my 4th and recent visit, I received not only terrible service but my nail were terrible. I called ahead to schedule an appointment and was told I could come in. Great. I said on the phone that I wanted acrylics. When I got there, my nail tech began my nails but I noticed she was doing them as if I were getting a regular manicure so I stopped her and told her I asked for acrylic nails and she got upset with me, sucked her teeth and began to get rough with my hands. I asked if there was a problem and she said no. Then she said it'll be $80 instead of $40. EXCUSE ME?! You've got to be kidding me. For a simple acrylic set? I wasn't getting a design or any special add ons to my nails. She also kept talking about me during the duration of my service. The end result was terrible. It was not even and lumpy on some nails. $25 mani - pedi special Mon-Wed or else it's $30. Still pretty damn cheap. The place is large and has a million great colors to choose from. The ladies did a solid job and spent time on giving me a great leg massage which I can't hate on. The massage chairs are in nice condition, strong and clean. All this makes it a win. My manicure chipped in a matter of 2 days which confirms my NYC area nail polish conspiracy theory: they water the polish down, they do! I'm not crazy, I swear. Getting in and out of the parking lot was a breeze (2 entrance and exit points with traffic lights to assist). My pedicure and manicure seemed like new for weeks. I just went to this salon to get a quick pedicure after work. Not from the area so I thought I'd try it. First off they don't even greet you when u walk in ..they all just kept working like I wasn't even standing there. I walked up to one of the ladies and said I would like a pedicure she said nothing to me and looked at the girl in the back and said she has another pedicure....the girl that gave the pedicure was fantastic. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! If I could give this "no stars", I would. First off this place is way overpriced. Originally when I called to make an appointment they told me filling was $30. After the whole horrific experience it came out to $60. I asked her to cut them a little shorter than what they were; she cut them way too short and then filed them even shorter. I also had a French manicure. The line is completely crooked on every nail; they all look different. I had them done about a week and a half ago. They're all chipped broken or lifting from the sides and the bottom. This set deafly needs to be replaced. I asked for a receipt and she pretended not to speak English. I'd put a zero if possible! Unbelievably filthy - I sat down in an inoperative massage chair, pulled my pant legs up. Looked around at the dirty walls. The sweet tech filled the basin and I asked her if the sanitize their tools for she was reaching in a dirty basket with tools - she shyly shook her head no. She was worried, I could tell by the look on her face. Surprised I asked her if they use new files etc- she whispered to me, only if you pay for them. So I said, you were going to use that dirty file & cuticle pusher? She said yes. So I couldn't believe what I heated so I rephrased my question: she understood and said no we don't use clean tools. We only sanitize at night. She quietly said I just work here. I said that is disgusting and she agreed. She offered to ask the owner for new equipment. I said, no thank you - And thanked her for being honest. I walked. I cannot believe what I've witnessed today - 2 nail salons within a mile or two from each other - both running unsanitary practices. I'm appalled. The Board of Cosmetology needs to crack down on these poorly run businesses. read more

I just love the place doesn't stink like you've been saturated in a nail salon. Parking is available despite a busy night. Although service was a bit compromised when it's really busy (say a Friday sunny afternoon)... meaning a long wait and had to flag the owner to not forget my 7 year old daughter was also getting a manicure. Overall, on a non-busy time, I imagine the place would be more pleasant. Price for pedicure and a kid manicure = $28 I speak to other patrons who probably never heard of Yelp or let alone get on a computer are major loyal patrons to this nail salon. So I had to update my review. Over the years as new nail places have popped up I've tried them all. The pedicure here is average. There is no more extra massaging or special foot rubbing. I went here again because my new "usual" place was closed - and I was charged $50 for a gel pedicure, which I normally pay MUCH less for elsewhere. If I could give negative stars, I would. I usually get my eyebrows waxed when I get my hair done every few months, but my eyebrows were in dire straits today and I needed to have them touched up while I wait for my next hair appointment. Walked in around 3 o'clock - 3 hours before they closed. It was pretty crowded, but I was prepared to wait. I walked in and there were two other women sitting in the two waiting chairs they have, so I went and stood by the register. I immediately made eye contact with the man I know to be the owner, because I've been there before. He was standing by the pedicure chairs and he just looked at me and then looked away. Didn't address me, didn't greet me, just pretended he didn't see me. Stood there for about five more minutes without a single person in the entire place acknowledging me standing there, or asking what service I had come in for. I've been here enough times to know they take walk ins and appointments but I've never been made to stand there while someone who wasn't doing anything ignored me. I tried to get his attention a few times and he kept pretending he couldn't see me standing directly in front of him across the room. After a few more minutes someone got up from a manicure table and he escorted them to the dryer which was right by me. He walked right over to me, continued to ignore me, and then stood with his back to me with his arms crossed. I don't know what his problem is or what the point of him being there is if he's not even going to greet customers. I made sure to snap a picture of him ignoring me, which I'll include, and walked out. I will never be back. read more

Was there today. Previously I had been there twice with MEH results. As of today, I will NEVER go back. The woman who did my toes was very rough and pulled the skin of the cuticles rather than cutting it. I said ouch a few times and asked her to be a bit more gentle. She either didn't really understand what I was saying or forgot immediately. Evidently she was distracted by her conversation with her coworkers. Let me say, ladies, while I do not speak Spanish fluently, I do understand what people say more than I do not understand. It was a personal issue. I had to ask several times for the woman to stop hurting me. Ultimately I received a tiny cut on my big toe and the woman cut my toenails so short they are below the line,. I had to convince the female owner that it was my blood she could see in the cut, while the nail person claimed it was my leftover nail polish. The owner first argued with me then after they both inspected my foot further, agreed it was a cut. The owner put neosporin on my toe as they were drying. I went up to pay and the other owner (male) charged me full price. Really? I looked at him and said, "You know I got cut, right"? He nodded at me and shrugged like it happens sometimes. I complained about the roughness of the person and I could tell it fell on deaf ears. I feel badly for the ladies who work there who are good. and NOW I read the other reviews where the instruments are not cleaned between people? Disgusting. I hope I don't get an infection. I have been to salons where their kids are there and they have to watch them, but for some reason my manicurist could not get through my manicure without constantly STOPPING to talk to them or someone walking in or anything. Worst.nail salon.ever. First, the woman gave me a hard time that I needed to use a debit card. Second, when I asked her to put a $5 tip on a $20 service she said, that's all? 25 percent is a pretty good tip. Third, when I was looking for the girl who did my pedicure she ripped the money out of my hand and ran it over to the girl. During the process, she messed up my thumb nail. Found this salon from a local FB group. Well, it was everything they said it would b. U walk in and they take ur temp and write it down next to ur name and phone number in the sign in book. The COVID protocols are amazing, and I'm extremely particular . Manis--Ur not seated near anyone. There is plexiglass between u and the employee . There is a fan IN the employees side of the table to catch any dust. U have new Emory board and buffer. Beautiful nail job. After, they do great job cleaning for next person. Pedi-- again, ur not seated near anyone unless u go with a friend. There is plexiglass in between u and employee. I went with my sister and there was no plexiglass between me and employee because we were seated next to each other. However, my manicurist put a face shield over her mask. The tool that is used to smooth ur heels is disposable! No garbage cans. They are in the moveable table station. There was a screen on the other side of me. Shower curtain type material on metal frame. All employees wore masks and gloves. Sure I'm forgetting to tell u other protocols this salon is following, but I give it 10 stars. U must try it. When I go to a nail salon, I don't expect to be treated as though I'm inconveniencing the nail technician by asking for a pedicure. However, that's the way I've been treated twice at Madison Hill. One technician messed up two of my fingernails and one toenail, and refused to fix them before I left. All in all, an incredibly frustrating experience. The only positive? They do UV gel manicures and have a great selection of polish colors. It's a last resort, but it's one of the only salons open on a Sunday in this area. read more

Was not very organized. Someone started my nails and then said someone else would continue, and wondered off. I was left sitting there in confusion with half my polish off for a few minutes before someone came over to continue. The chairs were not very comfortable or nice. I'd never seen ones like it. They're narrow and small, they seem like cheap knock offs of the ones other salons use. The salon doesn't use towels under your feet. They use paper towels that get soggy and gross in the first 10 seconds of the pedicure. They also replaced the normal toe separators with paper towels. Then the woman who did my nails seemed like she had an issue with me. She was very violent with the instruments. I was in pain half the pedicure. She was not very aware of what she was doing and didn't even seem to notice when I winced in pain. I suppose when you're only paying $25 for a mani pedi this kind of horrible service and supplies should be expected though. I guess you really get what you pay for. read more

When I told the girl how I liked my nails cut and shaped it was like a chore for her. I'll never go back .
